Midoriya quickly ducked into a stall, tugging his hero costume on, and he waited by the door for the others to finish. They had a lesson between lunch and their joint training session, and it was obvious that the teacher didn't like him too much.

They had been given a math test to do, and instead of just gently handing the paper to the students, like she did with all the other students, the mathematics teacher had rudely slammed the paper onto his table, glaring at him as if he had murdered her newborn child.

Regardless of the treatment towards him, Midoriya still did his best in the mathematics test. It didn't have anything that Ectoplasm had taught that year, but maybe the first years at Ketsubutsu were learning about different topics. The questions weren't too easy, but it wasn't anything that Midoriya couldn't handle.

It didn't take too long for everyone else to finish changing into their hero costumes, despite all the yelling and arguing going on, they managed to make it to the gym in time for their joint training session, with a large, rocky field in the center of the building.

What they were expecting to see was the rest of the Ketsubutsu second years, since they were also a part of the class that UA and Shiketsu was friendly with.

What they weren't expecting was for some of the non-hero course first years to be standing in the gym, talking to Fukukado, while some other students watched the commotion from the upper floors. Shinsou recognized Hareda and Nagai, but there were also a lot of other students arguing with the pro hero.

"You're not even in the Hero Course!" Fukukado tried to reason, "I don't care if you don't like UA or Midoriya or anything, I cannot allow you guys to pick a fight with them! Don't think I didn't hear about what happened in the cafeteria! You're lucky I'm not giving you punishments for aggravating and making fun of students from other schools simply based on their quirk, or lack of a quirk! Ketsubutsu does not allow discrimination!"

"That's besides the point!" Hareda countered, but Fukukado stood her ground, "No. I'm the teacher in charge, and I will not let you participate in this training exercise. You either go upstairs and watch the training exercise, or you leave this building. And if I hear one more derogatory comment about quirks or any of the sort, I am going directly to the principal about this."

Aizawa glanced at Midoriya, before watching as the first years slunk away with their tails between their legs. They had heard about everything that had happened in the cafeteria, since Shindo and Nakagame had reported it to Fukukado, and while Aizawa did think that there might have been a better way of handling the matter instead of instantly whipping out the kitchen utensils, there was no way he or Kan was going to punish Midoriya for sticking up for his friends, especially since he literally didn't do anything to start the commotion.

And if anyone told him otherwise, Aizawa was going to fight them.

The Erasure Hero and Blood Hero had already been warned about Midoriya's old classmates, but honestly, Aizawa hadn't expected them to just bitch about Midoriya's existence and his lack of a quirk. It wasn't even his fault to begin with, and even then, they had no right to be saying such nasty things about the poor boy anyways; Midoriya already had it hard enough.

Aizawa also hadn't expected that Shinsou's old classmates might be attending Ketsubutsu Academy, but she only seemed to chime into the conversation near the end, and had already been let off by a stern warning. Shinsou wanted absolutely nothing to do with her.

"Not to be rude... but... I was expecting more... you know... Ketsubutsu students... seeing as it's their home ground..." Kirishima sweatdropped, and Nakagame let out a small laugh, "Well... you know... we're the only ones that have our licences at this point in time. The others managed to make it to the second phase of the exam, but failed, so they're currently having a special Hero License course so that they can get their licences later."

"Oh yeah." Sero piped up, "They did mention something like that after they gave us back our results..."

"They weren't involved in a villain attack, though." Shindo pouted, looking to be slightly salty.

"Alright..." Aizawa sighed, scratching the back of his head, "Anyways, for today, we're going to try and do a three way fight. One person from 1-A, one from 1-B, and one from a combined group of Ketsubutsu students and Shiketsu students."

"Ah! So it's like that Pokemon Battle thing we did that other time before Mido joined the Hero Course!" Kaminari piped up, and Kamakiri shook his head, "What's with you and Pokemon references?"

"I mean, he's a literal human Pikachu! With the electric moves and attacks and all! He's even got the lightning bolt hair!" Tokage laughed.

"Nah, he's a Pichu! I mean, he literally can shock himself into submission!" Sero chimed in, and Kaminari whined, "Sero! You should be on my side!"

"He's not wrong though!" Ashido laughed, and Kaminari let out an unholy screech.

"Shut the fuck up, Dunce Face!" Bakugou screamed.

"What a riot... This is why 1-B is better." Kan shook his head, turning to Aizawa, "How did you survive them for so long?"

Aizawa just looked up at Kan, "Do you know just how loud Mic is on a daily basis?"

"... Valid." Kan sighed, before they managed to wrangle the loud teens back to their respective groups so they could start the exercise.

Everything seemed to be going smoothly, with students continuously rotating in and out as they got knocked to the ground, until Midoriya entered the field.

There was a loud round of yelling and booing, and Hareda leaned down, cupping his hands to yell, "Deku, you suck!"

Midoriya just looked up, glancing at Hareda briefly, before swiftly jumping out of the way as Utsushimi tried to kick him with her heel. The blonde grinned, "I might not be as good as you with close combat, but Uwabami taught me a couple moves!"

The greenette landed, before lunging forward, easy ducking under a storm of scales, courtesy of Monoma copying Rin's Scale quirk. Monoma jumped backwards, putting some distance between himself and Midoriya, as the latter swiftly weaved between the barrages of scales, throwing several knives outwards to intercept the scales and making it easier for him to dodge.

Utsushimi quickly used her quirk to make an illusion of herself, before she ran behind some boulders to hide, but Midoriya hastily used a knife to deflect some of Monoma's scales onto the illusion, breaking it apart. The boy growled, and he threw several knives in Monoma's direction, forced the blonde to stop his attack so that he could evade, before running in Utsushimi's direction.

He aimed a kick in her direction, but the blonde jumped out of the way in time, spinning on her heel and kicking her leg out at Midoriya. The greenette lifted a hand, easily catching her foot, and glanced behind him, noticing that Monoma was trying to sneak up on Midoriya with Kamakiri's Razor Sharp quirk.

Midoriya spun around, tossing Utsushimi over his shoulder, and right into Monoma, sending them both crashing to the rocky ground and eliminating them.

The greenette helped Monoma and Utsushimi up, and the two of them walked off the field, where Tetsutetsu and Yoarashi were waiting respectively, as more shouts and protests rang out.

"Booo! Weak! Lousy!"

"How the heck did you get defeated by a quirkless kid, of all things! Weaklings!"

"Fight properly, Deku! You fight like a piece of crap! Useless shit!"

Monoma looked like he had copied Bakugou's personality, and was so close to shouting and swearing at them. He was familiar with this kind of abuse, having his quirk called useless simply because it was reliant on someone else's quirk, but once he was able to prove that it was actually pretty cool and had some solid uses, people left him alone for the most part.

But Midoriya had just proved why he was part of the hero course, and yet, people were still raining down insults on him.

"At least he has his Provisional Hero License! What about you!?" Shindo yelled back at them, before he stuck his tongue out at Hareda childishly, leaving the first year growling at him.

Midoriya didn't seem too bothered by the derogatory comments about him, but Shinsou could see the effort Midoriya was putting in to make it seem like he didn't care. He could see the subtle shaking of his shoulders, the way his fingers twitched, the way his entire body flinched and froze up whenever someone hurled more abuse at him.

Fukukado looked like she was going to kill someone, and she turned upwards, shouting, "Keep quiet or I'll get campus security to escort you out of this building! I will be talking to your homeroom teachers about this, don't think that I don't know who you are!"

That was more than enough to clam up the rowdy students, and Fukukado gritted her teeth, before turning back to the hero course students, "Apologies about that. I will deal with them once the lesson is over. I'm sorry you had to see such a sore sight of our school."

"That is A-okay, fam!" Utsushimi smiled brightly, "Some people are just like, ya know, kids! They just don't grow up!"

Monoma glared daggers up at the Ketsubutsu first years, and Aizawa just grunted, "Midoriya, you okay there?"

The green haired boy visibly flinched at Aizawa's voice, and he looked up, nodding hastily, before turning his gaze back to the rocky ground. Aizawa gritted his teeth; Midoriya was clearly more upset than he let on. He knew his relationship with Midoriya was rocky at best, and they weren't anywhere near UA, which meant that he couldn't go to Nezu or Inui to sort it out.

Aizawa glanced at Shinsou, and the boy just turned to face Aizawa, nodding slightly. It seemed like the lavender haired boy had already detected the problem, and while Aizawa felt bad about throwing a problem like this into the hands of his son, Aizawa knew that he was best person to help Midoriya, preferably in the privacy of their room, with the company of Reiko and Ryuto.

Midoriya slurped up his udon, frowning slightly. There had been something off about the sushi he had eaten during lunch time, and he had the same feeling towards his udon. He still couldn't figure out just what the heck was wrong with it, and he paused in his movements, staring at his udon.

"You okay?" Shinsou turned to look at Midoriya, before staring down at his udon, "Is there something wrong with it?"

"I don't know." Midoriya softly replied, and Shinsou took a strand of udon from Midoriya's bowl, eating it, "It tastes the same as mine... we can swap, if you want to?"

Midoriya just looked up at Shinsou, the both of them equally confused, and the greenette tried a strand of udon from Shinsou's bowl, still finding it to taste slightly off.

The greenette just sighed, and turned back to his own bowl of udon. Maybe he had gotten used to Lunch Rush, Sato, and Bakugou's cooking, and wasn't used to other people's cooking, especially in a foreign environment, "It's probably just me."

"Maybe you're just sensitive to food." Ashido suggested, as Iida pushed a fresh bottle of lemonade across the table towards Midoriya. The greenette reached out for it, mouthing a small "thank you" to the class representative, taking a small sip of the sour drink to wash away that weird taste that lingered on the tip of his tongue.

Yoarashi and Todoroki seemed like they were having an argument, with the former loudly declaring that udon was much easier to eat as it was thicker and less likely to break, as Todoroki slurped up his udon, blankly talking about how good cold soba was and how much better soba was to udon.

"What are they even arguing about..." Mora deadpanned, as Shishikura stood up, slightly aggravated, "Inasa! Stop arguing about such trivial things!"

"Sorry, senpai!"

Midoriya looked up at the chaos, before hastily finishing up his noodles, and slinking off back to his room, taking his lemonade with him. Shinsou hurriedly slurped up the remainder of his noodles, before he followed Midoriya. Utsushimi had been busy cooing over how cute Reiko was, much to the feline's chagrin, with Ryuto just standing on the floor, looking up as Utsushimi held the cat up, but they also followed Midoriya the second the blonde girl let Reiko go.

The greenette just threw himself on the bed, and Shinsou gently sat down by the edge of the mattress, gently running his fingers through Midoriya's hair.

"Thanks for... standing up for me during lunch."

Midoriya peered up at the taller boy, "They shouldn't talk shit about you."

"And you let them say things about you? You should let me stand up for you too." Shinsou looked down at Midoriya, "Though, to be honest, I'm really not sure what I can do besides from hitting them. I'm sorry."

"I stopped you for a reason." The smaller boy just sighed, "You know they're not going to get into too much trouble for what they did, as hard as Ms Joke tries. Some way or another, I would be blamed for their attitude..."

"Why would you get in trouble if they're being jackasses, though?" Shinsou grumbled, and Midoriya simply replied, "I don't have a quirk. It always happens. It's better to just... let it all go and create less of a mess."

Ryuto just leaned against the back of Midoriya's neck, gently nibbling his earlobe, as Shinsou picked Reiko up and placed her on the bed. She immediately settled down under Midoriya's chin, reaching her paw up to pat Midoriya's nose, and Shinsou had to hold in a snort of laughter as Midoriya's nose twitched from being ticklish.

The lavender haired boy leaned back, supporting his upper body with his arms, and the both of them sat in silence, until Midoriya spoke up, "How was the mathematics test?"

"Oh?" Shinsou tilted his head slightly, "It was okay. It's easier than the tests Ectoplasm-sensei sets, for sure."

"Wasn't the test about improper integrals, infinite limits, and rational functions?" Midoriya asked.

Shinsou just stared down at Midoriya like an idiot, "... what?"

Midoriya tensed up slightly, "You know... limits? Where the line approaches some value and you'd need to find what that value is? Or just integrating functions that might not be bound to the axes?"

The taller boy looked completely dumbfounded, "We didn't even learn any of that yet... isn't that in the third year math syllabus? Why did you get something so hard?"

Midoriya frowned, as Shinsou whipped out his phone and texted Kendo and Monoma, quickly asking them about the mathematics test, "Hold on, give me a second..."

In a few minutes, he had gotten a reply, with Monoma and Kendo both backing Shinsou up about the contents of the mathematics quiz.

"What was her name, Mrs Kanri? She gave you a different quiz. And she slammed it onto you table." Shinsou growled, but Midoriya just groaned, reaching his hand out and putting his hand on Shinsou's thigh to calm him down, "Maybe it got mixed up with her papers by accident... it wasn't too hard anyways. We can talk to her about it... once she finishes marking them and gives the papers back..."

"I suppose so..." Shinsou sighed, slumping down onto the bed, "This school is a mess. The training sessions are fine... if you take away your former schoolmates ... but even the teachers don't seem any better than those other stupid first years."

There was no reaction from Midoriya, before the smaller boy curled up into himself slightly, "I want to go home."

"Yeah... I know..." Shinsou gently clutched Midoriya's hand, "Me too."
