A/N Hey guys! So this is a filler chapter to set up the last few. It's a time jump to give us the goods without having to write too much out because honestly this is taking longer than anticipated.
I wanted to give you a full circle ending and that includes our supportive characters (Pierce-Lopez, Fabrays, Berries and Jadson.)
I didn't put the Berries in this one (Hiram, Leroy), Shelby only makes a subtle appearance but they will be brought into the next chapter.
With this chapter I just wanted to give you the answers of how everything came to be in the next chapter before I did the first epilogue.
Yes, there will be multiple epilogues because I love when authors add time jumps of the future without having to cover multiple chapters. It's a hell of a lot easier. Anyway I hope you enjoy, if not than I'm sorry.
Until the next chapter my friends.
I do not own glee any of their characters or storylines. I only own my own.
QUINN AND RACHEL.
Quinn listens intently with Rachel's hand in her own. It has been a long on going trial against Mr. Turner.
Not because it was hard to prove what he had done. No, it was because Rachel had paid very expensive lawyers to find and round up as many victims of Mr. Turner they could with the help of Sebastian Smythe and officer Schmidt.
After they listened to the sixth witness who lost her children as well as her rights to see them because of Mr. Turner, Quinn felt sick and hurt because that could have been her. She could have been just another woman broken by that sad excuse of a man.
The anger and remorse she felt for those women sparked a fire in her to help them somehow and so eight months prior, she started a help line to assistant whoever came forward in search of their children and help them fight for their rights back.
Before Quinn knew what was happening, her hotline had exploded with calls from women who were former victims of Mr. Turner going way before his position as principal.
The truth being Mr. Turner had started this song and dance since he was a simple math teacher. Ten years before he became principal and he's been principal for twenty years.
Once the news hit the media got involved even more since someone let it leak that Quinn Fabray fiance of Rachel Berry was the plaintiff in a massive case.
The amount of women who came forward was astounding. Quinn decided that since these women had gone so long without being heard, that she'd help them be.
She turned her hot line into a legal organization. Though it's still in it's infancy, she's managed in the last five months to reunite four families and it's brought her pure joy to witness it.
She's being labelled by the world 'The voice of women' and has been asked to speak at several different conferences and colleges.
She's been nominated for an Aurora Prize and The Wallenberg Medal for how much her organization is doing.
Rachel couldn't be more proud. She has watched her fiance burst into tears on the stand in front of everyone, recounting what had happened with Mr. Turner.
She's watched her lift her head in confidence when his lawyer tried to make it seem like she wanted it to happened but retaliated because he turned her down.
She's watched her get angry, be poised and most importantly she watched how brave her fiance has been through the whole ordeal and now.
Now was the final day of judgement. After all that happened throughout the trial Rachel was ready for it to be over. So Quinn can finally move forward.
ALISON AND JADE
Jade was sat on the couch waiting patiently. It has been a long trying year for her because in the throes of her support for her sister and her sister's family, she's been dealing with the acceptance of her sexuality.
She had been okay after the kiss with Alison on that day in the restaurant. In fact, she had gone home with a huge smile on her face after Alison dropped her off with a gentle kiss to her cheek.
It had all been good and well. She felt more like herself than she ever had before and finally understood what all the fuss was about when it came to attraction toward your partner.
It stood that way for Jade the rest of the evening as Alison and she texted through out the night.
The next day she had woken up feeling like a brand new person. Eager to get to the hospital and hopefully see Alison again. She realized just that morning that texting Alison wasn't as good as being in front of her and under her soft warm gaze.
So of course something had to go wrong and it had to be her fault. When she got to the hospital the next morning and Alison spotted her.
The red heads smile was blinding and when she walked up to Jade and leaned in just to peck her cheek.
Jade dodged it and jerked away, when from the corner of her eye she noticed her parents in the corner talking to her sister. Not even noticing she had arrived.
In a low tone Jade whispered harshly: 'What do you think you're doing?!'
The absolute look of rejection on Alison's face will be forever engraved in Jade's mind.
Than a stake went through her heart when Alison replied: 'Excuse me, my mistake. My very stupid mistake. I should have known. Don't worry though, it won't happen again. I apologize, please excuse.'
'No Ally I-'
'Don't. Please just.. don't'
That was the first gay panic Jade had and it was the moment that Jade realized two things.
1. Alison was walking out of her life.
2. Jade felt her heart shatter in a way she's never ever experienced before with any boyfriend she's been with for months or even longer.
It was new, shocking in it's hit as her anxiety built and gutted her to an extreme feeling that was crippling her in anguish.
She had gone after Alison but Alison refused her advances as she quietly left the building with her dignity in tact..
Two weeks of Alison being cordial and Jade 's dejected puppy eyes watching from afar, caught Quinn's attention.
After explaining to Quinn what happened than having Quinn look at her with disapproval but understanding in her eyes was enough to make her cry.
Jade did some thing she's never done before over any break up with any previous relationship.
She wallowed.
She wallowed in misery without shame in her hotel room when she wasn't needed by anyone. Watching sappy heartbreaking romance movies like the notebook, titanic etc.
She ate tubs of ice cream, any food that made her feel like a comfy lazy full bellied cat as close to how lord tubbington would be as possible.
She cried, drank copious amounts of wine and just about given up on love and damn sure vowed herself to stay away from any drop dead gorgeous red heads with their sexy wicked enchantments. Granted she believed there was only one gorgeous wicked enchantress in all the world and her name is Alison Waters.
And that's exactly how Quinn found her.
They talked.
She cried, again.
Quinn consoled her than called her an idiot and she agreed whole heartedly. Than Quinn told her she loved her than threatened to maim her if she didn't get her woman back and eventually make her an aunt.
It took Jade a little too long to get the courage to try to mends things but that push she needed came in the embodiment of a threat.
One of the nurses who has had her eye on Alison since she was first assigned to care for Asher was said threat.
To say Jade was jealous would be putting it mildly and she hadn't even dated Alison yet but all it took was a day spent watching over Asher together indulged in conversation, one kiss on the floor of a restaurant covered in other peoples food and one long night of texting.
It was those three simple but life altering events that told Jade all she needed to know.
It proved to her that Alison Waters was not only made for her but she truly believed Alison was her soulmate, twin flame, whatever you want to call it, that is who Alison is to her.
So when she over heard Sophie, Asher's nurse ask Alison out she was furious.
Then over the coming days she had to watch Sophie flirt with Alison and over hear (Eavesdrop) how much 'fun' Sophie had on their date. It had Jade in tears again but acted indifferent as if nothing ws wrong in front every else.
Then when Asher was removed by Angela and Alex, she didn't understand why Alison stood behind at Quinn's apartment and was comforting her but she appreciated it. They didn't hug or anything but Alison's presence alone, sitting by her on the couch was enough. It made it that much harder to not feel anything for the red head.
After that she didn't see Alison as often. She thought she was in the clear and possibly getting over her feelings.
That is.. until they bumped into each other at the restaurant they had their first kiss.
Alison had tried to make tentative conversation by asking her how she is? Jade replied with indifference. Then made the unnecessary comment: 'Why are you talking to me anyway, what would Sophie think?'
Jade putting a touch of disdain in her tone when she put emphasis on Sophie's name. Causing Alison to ask why was she acting like a jealous teenager.
The two bickered until they were asked to leave. Jade already storming out with Alison on her tail. Until they were arguing in the middle of a crowded side walk.
It wasn't until Alison yelled: "GOD! YOU'RE SO FRUSTRATING! WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME?!"
"TIME! DAMMIT ALISON, I'M NOT YOU OKAY?! THIS ISN'T EASY FOR ME! I DIDN'T GROW UP WITH AN UNDERSTANDING FATHER! I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW I WAS EVEN LIKE THIS UNTIL-"
"Until what?"
Jade sighed tiredly as the wind her sails died down just as Alison's did. "Nothing just for-"
"For the god! This is-you know what?" Alison began her frustration just on the tip of her lips. "I have patience Jade, I'm a very understanding person but you won't even talk to me. If you had just told me before hand than maybe I-"
"Maybe what? Huh, maybe you wouldn't have to be stuck dealing with a psycho?" Jade cut in hurt than she turned on her heel abruptly to walk away.
"I didn't say that." Alison said as she gently grasped her arm before Jade could go any further.
"Yeah, well you didn't have to."
"If you would let me finish than you would know that I don't think you're a psycho or crazy or any other negative connotation you'd like to add to yourself. What I was going to say is, maybe if you had given me warning we could have been discreet and took things more slowly."
At the admission Jade's eyes lifted to Alison's and once again her knees went weak and her heart hammered with sweating clammy palms to match.
"I.. don't know what to say." Jade said softly and unsure of herself. Something she's never been in her entire life.
"How about an apology? I'll lead by example: I'm so sorry that I assumed it was okay to come onto you like that in front of every one. You obviously just realized how you were feeling the day prior and I didn't consider your feelings in the moment. To be honest, I was just eager to see you again, Be around you. You name it and I wanted it and I wasn't thinking. So I really am sorry, Jade."
Jade melted like butter. Her features releasing from their guarded expression and softened into understanding because that's exactly how she felt that fateful morning when she was getting ready to head to the hospital.
She felt eager. excited, unbelievably overwhelmed but too consumed with thoughts of Alison to care. She just wanted to hug her. Smell her hair because whatever shampoo Alison uses is so intoxicating on her. Hold her hand. Feel her lips on her own again. Everything. Jade just wanted everything. She understood exactly what Alison meant.
"No, I'm sorry Ally. It was my fault. I don't even know why I acted the way I did. I really was just as excited as you. I was so happy to see you but the moment I saw my parents it was like this knee jerk reaction and I felt exposed and so out of character. Like I forgot who I was in the moment, does that make sense?"
"Yeah." Alison replied with a knowing smile. "You had a gay panic and I completely understand. I also accept your apology. Do you accept mine?"
"Of course but honestly you didn't do anything wrong. I should have warned you but I didn't-"
"How about we agree to disagree and let it go? It's the past and honestly I'd really like it if we could start again. That is, if you're still interested?" Alison asked with a hopeful smile.
"What about Sophie?" Jade had to ask, it was eating at her the entire conversation.
"We had one date and before it even happened-the moment she asked me it felt wrong. Like I was cheating on you and since I already agreed I went but I told her I wasn't interested. That's it."
"Seriously?" Jade asked.
On the inside Jade felt shock and hope and smugness and disbelief because they weren't even dating for Alison to even feel that way but most importantly.. She felt relief and happiness that she Jade Cordelia Fabray still had a chance with this once in a life time woman.
"Seriously. I don't know what you did or how you did it but you did and I've been waiting. I've been patient. I think I've given you enough time to digest everything. So. Jade may I take you to dinner?" Alison asked with her hand held out for the blonde.
Jade smiled this thing that was consuming, happy, excited. Her eyes watered and her smile trembled and she knew.. In that moment she knew she was not going to ruin this, this time. This time she was going to hang on and fight for it until her last breath because she felt it. She knows it. She's going to propose to this woman one day without a shadow of a doubt.
"You do know it's lunch time not dinner." Jade snarked.
"Tomatoe, tomato."
Jade giggled and slid her arms around Alison's neck and pulled her into a tight hug, Alison hugging her just as tightly. The blonde took a deep breath in as the smell of Alison's hair made her feel like she just found home.
"I missed you, Ally. Is that weird?" Jade said softly refusing to let her go just yet.
"No, because I missed you more."
After that conversation they began to date with only Quinn and Rachel knowing about their courtship. Alison treated Jade like a queen and Jade treated Alison the same way. Neither woman ever dating anyone who ever put the time and effort into them the way they each had for each other.
It had still been a long trying year for them though because Jade had more than one gay panic. The blonde was difficult at times and down right petulant when it came to wanting Alison's attention, even going as far as to climb into Alison's lap knocking all of the red head's paperwork to the floor with the most evil adorable pout Alison had ever encountered in her life.
When all the red head was trying to do was get her work done and god bless her Alison was in fact as patient, beyond understanding and powerfully loving as she said she is, not complaining once about blonde's spoiled behavior and had given all the attention in the world to Jade.
Jade had been shocked when she was exposed to Alison's temper. It was so odd to see on the red head when she had, had a particular bad day. It wasn't often that Alison got angry. She was usually the rational one but it was an experience Jade is happy to have had.
She discovered that Alison's not really an angry person but more passionate when it came to being a doctor. Alison is no longer Rachel's assistant and is now currently a resident in her new role of doctor.
One day when Alison was shadowing her superior one day and watched him give up on a patient.
When she knew that he knew there were more options to save the patient and even if the options didn't work at least they would have known that they did all they could but he chose instead to let the patient die on the table. Alison was destroyed in that moment when the time of death was called.
Than he had the audacity to send her to deliver the news to the girl's family making Alison feel like a liar because they hadn't tried everything, mean while he left to make it to his golf game.
It was enough to send Alison into a conniption. Jade still lives t the hotel being paid for by Quinn and Rachel but she's 90 percent of the time at Alison's apartment because due to the crazy schedule Alison now keeps, they'd never see each other if she didn't.
It felt like home to Jade so it was the most shocking thing to hear the door slam when Alison arrived home. Than Jade was sat in shock as she watched her explode in anger and disgust practically foaming at the mouth when talking about the piece of shit doctor she no longer had respect for.
Jade had stood quiet as Alison yelled, damned, and shredding the man's credentials verbally to pieces. Jade knew she had to keep calm and level headed if she was going to be able to reach Alison at that point. She finally stood up after twenty straight minutes of listening to Alison yell at the top of her lungs, coaxing her into a calm place than hugging her.
The moment Jade hugged her Alison burst into tears as she explained the patient was only seven years old. It was a car accident that took her.
Jade took Alison to bed and pulled her into her arms as Jade cried with her. Jade said a prayer for the little girl named Madeline. It made Alison cry harder until she fell asleep in Jade's arms still dressed in her work scrubs not even changing before leaving work.
For a week Alison had been a wreck. It wasn't until Jade woke Alison up one morning surprising the red head when she noticed Jade was dressed in black. It was the day of the little girl's funeral and Jade took Alison to central park to release a balloon in the little girl's honor with just the two of them present. The moment Alison released the balloon and said her final apologies to the little girl, she felt a weight be released from her.
After that week of seeing just what being a doctor meant to Alison. Jade made sure to text the red head throughout the day to give her support, let her vent, or even make her laugh. Anything that helped her Ally.
She practically lived at Alison's apartment after that incident and when the clock struck whatever time Alison would get to come home from her crazy schedule and have whatever necessaries Alison would need for that specific day. May it be a long hot drawn out bubble bath, dinner and a movie, kleenex and a shoulder to cry on, wine and chocolates, etc.
Whatever Alison needed Jade to be for her she was and Alison fell in love with Jade without realizing it was happening and she didn't care because she's never had anyone be as supportive and loving of her ever in her entire life.
Alison agreed to keep their relationship quiet until Jade was comfortable, ready and sure to tell her parents about her sexuality.
Hell, they still haven't even had sex. It's been a year and they mostly have done nothing but heavy petting and the farthest they've gone is hands slipping under shirt's but never rounding second base in fear of breaking their promise of waiting but they were both okay with that since they wanted to make sure they got to know each other personally and really take the time to grow as a couple.
Was it frustrating? Like you wouldn't fucking believe! Jade can not tell you how many times she would cream her panties just watching Alison eat fruit.
You see, Alison was an absent minded eater. She would suck a strawberry between her lips and hold it there while reading the paper. She'd do the same with oranges and Jade would have to watch the juice drip out effortlessly from the corner of Alison's lips than Alison would lick said lips with that enticing tongue of hers or Alison would bite softly into a plum and Jade would die every. single. time! It was infuriating! Jade would than calmly claim she's going to take a shower but really she would be either taking a cold shower or masturbating her hand off. Thankfully Jade knew this wouldn't be her plight forever.
They both knew what they wanted from each other. They wanted the endgame that Quinn and Rachel had but without the drama.
Which brings them to the here and now. Now Jade knows Alison Waters like she knows herself. Alison is a problem solver. An adventurous being who loves to sail and rock climb. She loves mystery Novels be it murder or otherwise.
She takes being a doctor very seriously and it affects Alison more than Jade would like it to but that's just how passionate Alison is.
Alison has a habit of yawning after every meal because even the lightest meal makes her at least a little tired. She's a huge red sox fan because she's straight from Boston and though her accent isn't as thick as it apparently use to be, it's still evident and it drives Jade wild in the pants with need when it shows up in conversation for reason's Alison still doesn't comprehend.
Alison loves children beyond measure. She's a humanitarian and volunteers for habitat for humanity and Quinn's new organization. She loves white chocolate covered oreos dipped in marshmellow fluff that Jade has told her numerous times is not only disgusting but also dangerously unhealthy.
Alison is a cuddle monster. She cuddles awake or asleep any where she can get a good comfortable angle she's cuddling right there on the spot.
Alison has unreasonably ice cold feet that Jade refuses to allow in Alison's own bed when she stays over the red head's place because she does not want to freeze to death via the her feet.
Alison loves the sound and smell of the rain. She and Jade sit at the doorway of Alison's balcony just out of reach of the rain with hot tea and coconut macaroon's and listen to it when the clouds open and it pours.
Sometimes they talk or sometimes they don't and just cuddle together there on the floor in silent thought enjoying the rain. Jade never knew she'd enjoy such a thing until Alison squealed in delight one day when she heard thunder rumble outside.
She shut off their movie right in the middle and began rushing about causing Jade to giggle at her antics and follow her lead until they were sat with a throw blanket, tea, macaroons at the entrance of the balcony and it made Jade fall in love a little more with Alison Waters. It was the first time Jade said 'I love you'
That's just the small condensed version of what Jade knows about her girlfriend Alison Waters.
So Jade knows how to dote on her. Give her support. Encourage her. Make sure her feet are cocooned in socks. Be sure to make enough white chocolate covered oreos with a side of marshmellow fluff when she's having a particularly bad day. Always have Alison's packed lunch ready for work. Alison always comes back to her apartment to find dinner waiting for her with 'post it's' on occasion when Jade can't be there with heart felt words that make Alison love and miss her.
Yes, it's been a long year for them but Jade believes it was way beyond worth it. Because even though it's been only a year. She's had a little blue Tiffany's box in her bag back at her hotel since their fourth month together when Alison looked her right in the eye and said: 'I want a kangaroo so bad.'
Jade's eyes lifted as she heard heels click on the hardwood floors heading straight for her. Than her mouth went dry as Alison stepped out of her room fussing over her hair, clothing, make up, basically her entire being, period.
Because tonight was the night.
Tonight they had dinner reservations with Jade's parents and Jade was going to drop the bomb of all bombs when she tells them not only that she now knows one hundred percent that she's a lesbian but that her best friend is not only her best friend but also her girlfriend.
So Alison has been freaking out all week even more than Jade and Jade.. Well, Jade needs to figure out how to pick her jaw up from the floor because damn was her girlfriend exquisitely hot!
RUSSELL AND JUDY.
Russell stood outside the door nervously. His long blonde hair was pulled back into a low man bun at the base of his head. His beard was scruffy and full. He was dressed in wrangler jeans and a navy blue button down. He took a deep breath and lifted his hand to knock.
He heard 'just a minute.' softly call out to him through the door. The voice alone had his hands clammy and his heart hammering. His ex wife's voice always caused a mess within him and if it wasn't her voice, the sight of her brought him to his knees.
Like right now, the moment the door swung open to reveal Judy in a respective cream, soft looking to the touch knee length dress. Russell felt himself explode inside with uncontrollable love. He felt himself wanting to touch, smell, kiss, hug and most importantly devour the woman before him.
Judy's smile was warm, soft but radiate as her eyes shined at the sight of the man before her. She would be lying if she said the rough, edgier look on her ex husband didn't do anything for her.
She still until this day could not believe the man her ex husband had become. She's known Russell since they were fifteen years old and to watch him grow even in the dark moments that's broke their family had changed him into someone she couldn't stop herself from wanting even if she tried.
He is strong, independent, understanding, charismatic, generous, kind beyond words, hard working, level headed, confident, wildly handsome but most of all he now knows who he is and is not swayed by anything or anyone to be other than who he is now. Judy has never been more proud to know him.
It's been a very long year and in that year she and Russell have become even better friends than they use to be. It isn't tentative anymore. They aren't trying to avoid the elephant in the room anymore because Quinn is home now. Quinn's alive and well and happy with her own family that she created. So now Judy can breathe easier. She sleeps through the night now without the aid of medication.
She's been doing skype calls with her therapist and seeing her whenever she flies back to Lima on occasion because she still technically lives there but has been staying in New York to give support to Quinn and Rachel as has every one else.
Her therapist and she spoke about everything and over time Russell was asked to sit in on a session and from there he had joined in on a few more sporadically. It helped to clear the air between the two of them. Though it wasn't easy by any means to rehash truths of the past from the time Russell began working for Mr. Dotson to the altercation in the foyer between he and Quinn to the divorce and how Judy crushed under the weight of it all. No, it hasn't be easy. Judy had three melt downs, episodes of built up anger that imploded when certain areas had been dissected and Russell had been the source.
It had been hard, emotional, and revealing but eventually Judy realized she needed it. Because little by little her feelings began to change. Her view of the man before her began to shift into perspective as he began sharing his slow descent into oblivion, sorrow, self hate, reflections, reunion with the Berries to just who he truly is now.
Over time Judy began to not only feel better but she felt more relaxed in his presence. She felt safe when they'd be alone together even for a few minutes. He began to feel familiar to her like he was someone she had known a long time ago but hadn't heard from in ages.
They began having 'coffee meetings' until it changed to lunch than brunch than finally dinner to seeing each other everyday. Going to Yankee or Mets games. Taking in a Broadway show or shopping at the flea markets. It became their thing and it was only for them. It built a bridge of connection that Judy hadn't felt in a long time.
It didn't dawn on her what she was feeling until one day they were going to have dinner did she realize she was fussing over her entire look. It had been what she thought was a 'habit' over the last few months, not that she was actually actively trying to look good for Russell. It was an epiphany that caused her to cancel their dinner for the first time in six months so she could call her therapist who then confirmed what she already knew.
She was falling in love with her ex husband all over again. She burst into tears. It wasn't until Shelby arrived at her apartment because Russell called her to check on Judy because he was worried. He had said Judy sounded a little off.
When Shelby arrived Judy had been a mess. Her emotions were every where because she couldn't understand. Shelby had been her rock in that moment and it felt like old times. They called in take out and had copious amounts of wine only to be interrupted when there was a knock at the door.
It was Jade and Alison. The two were heading back to Alison's after a movie, when Jade received a text from her father saying he had sent Shelby over to her mothers to check on Judy but Shelby hadn't replied to a text he sent two hours ago asking if everything was okay. That he didn't want to bother Rachel about Shelby when she was home enjoying time with her family.
So Jade agreed to check after asking Alison if she didn't mind. The two ended up staying and were given the revelation of a lifetime once they had sat to listen.
Judy had expressed her fear of Quinn hating her for how she was feeling. Jade knew the only way to clear the air was to call Quinn.
Quinn arrived an hour later after Rachel assured her that she and the kids were okay and for Quinn to spend time with her mother.
Judy was drunk by the time Quinn arrived. Bursting into tears at the sight of her Judy pulled her into a tight hug, sobbing how much she missed her. How sorry she was, how she didn't mean to feel the way she does.
Quinn had been fucking confused. It wasn't until she calmed her mother down with god knows how many different ways of assurance, that finally she was told of her mother's fear.
Quinn smiled this adoring thing. She hugged Judy and told her she's happy for her. She's happy that her mother has finally broke through the barrier of what was holding her back.
She gave her mother her blessings for her parents reunion. Stating that she'd want nothing more than her parents working it out and getting back together. Jade also agreed and so did Shelby and Alison. They all agreed that Russell had grown and changed for the better.
Judy cried more as the guilt she felt began to ebb away. That night was full of celebration as they talked, drank, and no one realized that once again Russell was left to stew in his worry over Judy.
It took Judy a month and one week of turning things over in her head and going back forth with Quinn, Jade, Shelby, Alison, and now even Rachel who was given the details by Quinn, that Russell still wanted her. She was terrified that it was one sided and Russell would turn her down.
She finally went to meet Russell for coffee. He arrived before she did. She watched him through the window of the coffee shop fidget nervously. He was clearly anxious. She smiled and took a deep breath to calm her racing heart. She has loved that man since she was fifteen and never wanted to stop.
Judy entered the coffee shop and she saw the moment he spotted her. His eyes did this thing that she'd seen when they first met. His eyes looked as if they were seeing her in this other worldly light. As if she weren't real or from this universe.
It was in that moment that she knew she had nothing to fear. Russell stood up immediately when she approach. He became a babbling, bumbling fool as he accidently knocked the edge of the table with his knee and stumbled through his worry and apologizing profusely if he had in anyway offended her. All the while Judy stared in silence. She couldn't speak even if she wanted to. She was enamoured by him. Taking in his every feature that made him, him.
She couldn't help it even if she tried. Judy reached up clasping a hand to the back of his neck, the other cupping his cheek and pulling him into a deep passionate, toe curling kiss that left them both breathless. The moment Russell's brain registered what was going on his lips caressed hers back as he whimpered in desperation to have just a little more of her for a little longer.
Russell felt his eyes moistening below his lids and slowly tears began slipping from his closed eyes. The kiss slowed down to soft pecks until finally the two released each other but neither had opened their eyes yet. Judy blindly lowered her head to his chest where she heard his heart beating just as rapidly as hers. She smiled as she realized the rhythm matched her own.
It was silent to them even as the bustle of the New York coffee shop ricocheted around them. It wasn't until she heard a sniffle did Judy look up and noticed Russell was crying. His arms around her waist weren't possessive but they were firm as if to say if he let go this would all be a figment of his imagination. Judy pulled back and cupped his cheek with worry etched across her features.
'Russell what's wrong? Did you not want to? If I over stepped your boundaries I-'
'No.. No, you didn't-just.." Russell swallowed thickly as he stared into the eyes of the only woman he's ever loved. 'I missed you.'
It was spoken softly but full of absolution. It was the moment Judy saw in his eyes just how much her leaving him had hurt him. She saw the love he had for her clear as day. It was grounding and invasive but in a good way. It pushed into her with all it's might and she gasped the moment it hit where it was meant to. Her heart, the very crevices of her soul.
'God I've missed you more than I can ever say, Judy. I'm so sorry for all that I've done. I'm so sorry that no matter what I do, I don't think I could ever live with out you in my in any capacity you'd let me have you. I don't think I could ever truly stop loving you.'
Judy felt her own tears spill over at the proclamation. She kissed him again. She couldn't even respond in other way other than that. How? How would any one be able to say anything in response.
She was overwhelmed with joy, feeling that last piece within her shift into place. It was like her life was being revived and all she needed was Russell to give her the final breath to wake her.
They have been dating for seven months before Russell asked her to be his girlfriend. He did it in the sweetest way. Which brings her to now. Her eyes raked his broad strong form and she salivated. She felt her insides coil and her panties moistened. They were definitely going to be late to dinner.
SANTANA, BRITNEY, AND SEBASTIAN.
Britney can tell you a lot of things she expected to happen last year. She could tell you how last year her family was struggling. How her wife worked herself to the bone to make sure she brought enough home to help support them.
Britney herself works hard but not as hard as she believes her wife does. Which is what makes today that much sweeter. Today she and her wife are finally getting their license to be private investigators for Sebastian Smythe's firm.
Though Santana and herself have associate degrees they're not for private investigation. However; Sebastian didn't care. He had sent them to a friend of his to not only be trained but had them studying the field of investigation through him this entire year.
They were given an Exam thanks to Sebastian's many strings of help to cut through the crap they would have had to go through like getting an associates in criminal investigation or have two years in law enforcement, etc. No. Sebastian assured them it's his investigation firm that he started on his own with his own money and merit and if he says their hired than they're hired. All they had to do was train under Terrance Leeks for a year, take the exam and if they passed they were in.
So after taking the year to train with Terrance and a lot of course work and study given by Terrance and his education team they took the exam and right now. This moment watching her wife fight to hold in her tears as Sebastian walks her into her own office has Britney in a mess of happy tears.
They passed. They studied hard, trained hard and they passed. They are now legally private investigators in Sebastian's firm in new jersey and nothing, absolutely nothing could possibly be better than this!
Working for Sebastian they would be making $65,980 a year. That's $2,010 more than the average high end state investigator makes for New Jersey but Sebastian says they've earned it. Especially since they're testifying in the case against Alex, Angela, Danielle, And their lawyer Patrick. They also get full benefits, that alone had them losing their wits. Paying for medical, dental coverage for an entire family with low income is hell.
After they settle into their jobs here and start getting paid they planned to start looking for a house. Rachel and Quinn were allowing them to live in the apartment in Soho since Quinn, Beth and Asher were finally moved home with Rachel.
When they brought they're kids to New York Britney and Santana were full of smiles and happiness. Their kids never having been on a vacation. They were awestruck. They squealed in delight and ran to the rooms to pick which one they wanted to stay in.
Britney and Santana had thanked Quinn and Rachel profusely but they wouldn't hear it. Santana and Britney had done more than that for them in their eyes so they were assured they could stay living there however long they want or needed no charge.
It was an emotional conversation but in the end they couldn't be any happier and now this. They were being given a tour of their work place. It's crazy how life could change so drastically in a year.
