Chapter 75 Dream Come True

(Location: Amity Colosseum above Atlas Solitas continent Kingdom of Atlas Remnant)

The Altesian ship landed on the docking bay as the passengers slowly left the air transport. The group had no idea what they were doing here. General Ironwood hasn't said a word since he returned to them. Winter and Penny were present as the General took the lead heading inside. Team RWBY, JNR, Carding, Velvet and Laphicet were in thought gazing around. They really did one heck of a job rebuilding the Colosseum. It even looked like the original, like every detail was added. It was strange being here, in this place, walking the hallways where the Vytal Festival took place. The last time they were here it was during the tournament before everything went to hell.

Asides from Cardin they were here when it happened. The beginning to what will be known as the Battle of Beacon and eventually, what lead to the Fall of Beacon. Where it was revealed that Cinder Fall was the one behind the infiltration to the CCT and the alliance between Roman Torchwick and the White Fang. Where Velvet confronted the woman and she told the truth of her plan. Back then, they really thought they had her surrounded and it would be a victory. They were so wrong. Apparently the evil woman had the Adam and the White Fang to plant charges on the Colosseum and Beacon Academy. The Colosseum was destroyed as it crash landed in the city of Vale.

The beginning of the battle as they fought hordes of Grimm built up from all the negative emotions of the people after watching the destruction. The Fall Maiden Amber's death, Ozpin's death and of course Pyrrha's. Velvet stood in thought remembering how the red head died fighting by her side, protecting her. Sure she stopped Cinder but at the cost of her ending in a coma and the school and city fell to the dark creatures. The Atlas military retreated and they will return before they could reclaim the kingdom. The Fall was basically where their journey started. The maidens, the relics and Salem. It really felt strange to be back here after a year or more.

Weiss was in deep thought like everyone else. Thinking about that night that forever changed her life. But there was something else bothering her and it just happened earlier after the leaving the abandoned mine. Her eyes were on General Ironwood with some concern but relief and at the same time, some pride at the predicament he has gotten himself into. She was upset with her father for taking advantage of the situation. Not regretting eavesdropping one bit.

Weiss was glad she was able to spot Ironwood and her father at the last second. They went to one of the abandoned buildings in order to get some privacy. Honestly, she had no idea what he wanted to talk with the General. But, she had a bad feeling about it. Two reasons came to her mind, related to the company or the coming election in two months. Curiosity was getting the better of her but she needed to know. Whatever reason, it's not good. The former heiress reached the building, slowly gazing to one of the windows. It was so dirty but she was able to see both men inside. Best of all, the window was broken in the corner so she will be able to listen to their conversation.

"Hm, not the cleanest of places. But it will have to do I suppose."

"What do you want Jacquess?"

"I'm a man that likes doing business. If it's within my power anything can be done. Having a proper conversation can do wonders for communication. Not just we can understand each other but, we can benefit each other as well."

"Get to the point" he rubbed his forehead, why does he has to sugarcoated in his own way.

The older man chuckled at his attitude. Weiss has only gazed at the window once not risking of getting seen. She chose to listen keeping her ears sharp.

"It's time you pay up, James."

"….…."

"I have given you enough time. You owe me and now it's time to fulfill your end of the bargain."

"I don't know what you're talking about."

"Come on James. Let's not go there, you know exactly what I'm talking about. Or could it be that you forgot?"

The General remained silent not looking fazed or intimidated by the SDC President.

"Do I have to remind you who helped you rebuilt Amity Colosseum?"

Weiss's eyes widened at the revelation.

"I remembered as it was yesterday. It was many months ago. You dropped by my office at my company headquarters, so desperate, in need of a helping hand. Me, being a kind man chose to offered you my aid."

Ironwood was getting so annoyed at his farce. Kind, not likely, not even close. He's nothing but an opportunists.

"People like you always want something in return."

"That's how it works. Business goes hand in hand, you scratch my back I scratch yours, it's a fifty fifty thing. What's so wrong of me giving you something and you repay me with something of equal value?"

Weiss rolled her eyes outside in annoyance.

"You needed money to rebuilt the Colosseum for whatever reason I don't care, a large amount. Money, you didn't had it at your disposal and you couldn't possibly ask the council because you knew it will make you look bad. Wouldn't want your reputation as the protector of the kingdom to get tarnished. So you came to me instead."

"I don't have your money" he wanted this over already.

"Eight million lien is quite a lot. I wasn't expecting you will have it with you. It's all right we can negotiate our agreement."

"Can we leave this for another day? I am very busy Jacquess."

"We'll settle this right now. I promise I won't take any more of your time until we make negotiations. You can't expect me to walk out of here empty handed, don't you?"

"Fine. Let's get this over with. If you don't want money then what?"

"If you don't have the money it will be all right with me. Though I could sure need it. My sources have gotten limited lately, no thanks to you."

Weiss wanted to scoff but she didn't, they will hear her for sure. He has to bring the embargo, typical of him.

"But there is something else I want of equal value. A whole lot more of value than eight million lien."

"Stop" Ironwood was now glaring at him not even letting him say the sentence.

"If it has something to do with the election then, you can forget it. I am not your lap dog or tool Jacquess. You don't have money so slipping lien under the table to council members or someone else from the high class is out of your reach. If you so badly want to win that council seat then you will win it fairly like any other politician. Through hard work, campaigning, convincing the people your intentions are true and just for the council. Make them believe you will make a difference if you're elected. Lying to your teeth anything, that isn't bribery. Maybe convincing the people of Atlas won't be so hard and they might even elect you because you will support their side."

"But what about the people of Mantle? You do remember you had to laid off so many employees from your company, so many dust shops have to be closed due to your actions. I bet they're not happy with you, losing their jobs and homes. Do you believe they're going to think twice before voting for you?"

"That's because YOU convinced the council of that infernal dust embargo! I lost a lot of lien and because of it, I had to do what was necessary to keep the company afloat. This is on you, not me. For what reason would you stop the exportation of Dust to the other kingdoms?"

"That's none of your business. We're done here. I'm not paying you anything and I am definitely not giving the good word that you're the savior this kingdom needs for a council man."

The man was about leave from the abandoned building as Jacquess was able to calm himself.

"You don't want to do this, James. I wonder what will they say when I tell them you stole from me in order to rebuild Amity. You threatened me to give you the money or you would have kill me. What will they do? Think carefully of your choice. General of the Atlas military, headmaster of a proud school and council man. Someone like you is not favorable if he gets into a big scandal. Just like that you can lose everything and before you know it, you're on a one way ticket to Atlas Penitentiary."

Outside, Weiss was lividly mad. How dare that idiot tried to blackmail the freaking General of the Atlas Military. Her father was that desperate to stand a chance at winning the election that will be this stupid and careless.

Inside, Ironwood stood still but behind his dark eyes was a powerful anger. He has taken his scroll from his coat pocket. Opening the device, he touched the screen pad and remain silent.

*You don't want to do this, James. Just like that you can lose everything and before you know it, you're on a one way ticket to Atlas Penitentiary.

The older Schnee stood shocked and his skin got even more paler than usual. While his daughter hide the biggest grin she could ever make.

"I have recorded this conversation. Everything you have said, every single word its all in here. I can go to the council right now, let them hear this and you'll be the one on a one way trip to Atlas Penitentiary. Attempting blackmail on a high ranking officer of the Military is either punishable by death or life in prison. So Jacquess, think carefully of your choice."

The man stood speechless at what just happened. How the hell did he turned this around.

"I will hold on to this until the election ends. Our negotiation is done. I will not pay you the money and another warning."

"If you try to cheat your way to the council, I will use this conversation. You either win the election fairly or you don't."

By now, Weiss have left as Ironwood walked out of the building. Jacquess was still baffled but it wasn't long until he got so angry.

"I'm glad father didn't had his way."

Seriously that has to be the dumbest thing her father has ever done. Luckily, Ironwood would never summit to someone like him. Instead, the General has put a leash on him with the recorded conversation only putting his old man into a lot of trouble. Getting thrown to prison was the last thing on his mind. It was better if he doesn't win the election and stick with what he currently has. Being too ambitious can be a bad thing.

They arrived at the arena as Ironwood went to the platform in the middle. The place looks bigger without a crowd or maybe because they haven't been here in a while. In each corner on the hexagonal platform stood the four symbols of the four kingdoms. They remembered the many fights they had during the tournament. Some opponents that were easy others, that were too tough. They were put on a straight line along with the Crowe siblings. While Qrow, Winter and Penny stood on the other side. The General was in front of them. Honestly, this was a strange way for a celebration. Expecting a congratulations and then go back to doing more missions.

"It goes without saying that this arena holds a significance to all of us. It's only fitting that we should be able to reconvene here. Now. When the world needs to be brought together more than ever, the road you traveled from our first meeting hasn't been easy."

Penny couldn't take it anymore as she was bouncing from the excitement holding her open scroll. Why, they had no idea. They have the idea this celebration was a very good thing but why was the orange haired girl bouncing like she was ready to fly off the arena. Winter had to hold her from doing such touching her shoulder. Right, the girl was more excited for everyone else present.

"You fought for your school and your friends at Beacon. You fought for the world and the innocent at Haven Academy and beyond. You faced down terrors people can't even fathom. That's not the behavior of students. It's the behavior...of Huntsmen and Huntresses."

The man gave a nod to Penny as she was more than happy. She went to each one pressing a button on her touch screen. In return, their scrolls beeped as it was confirming something. As they gazed at the opened devices, their eyes widened. Their student license has taken a change as it now says" Huntsman license official rank". They were taken back but this could explain why Penny was so excited in the first place. Velvet's teacher's license has changed to a "Veteran Huntress rank" which took her by surprise. Qrow's license says" Professional Huntsman" Ozpin did told her about it at one time.

Licenses are separated in three ranks. The first being "Official" which is the first rank when a student officially graduates from any of the four schools. Professional is the second rank when a Huntsman has being doing missions for ten years or more and lastly Veteran rank. Which is the highest rank for Huntsman or Huntress that have been doing missions for 20 years or more. Many of the teachers of the four schools have achieved the rank and it was considered a great achievement in their lives. It was hard for her to get the rank specially when she was almost about to turn twenty two and she hasn't done any official missions. More shocking was her brother. Laphicet was at loss for words staring at his official rank license.

Depending on your license rank, you will get missions according to such. The higher the rank, the more dangerous the mission will be. It was a risk everyone who becomes a Huntsman is willing to take. The rank also symbolizes your experience in battle as well as your level of strength.

"Wait, what is this?" Ren was the first to react.

"You are being granted your Huntsmen license, today" spoke Winter.

"I know this is coming a little ahead of schedule, but Brothers know you deserve it. I only regret that I couldn't do something a little more ceremonious for the occasion."

"We're...Honored General Ironwood. We don't-I mean, you didn't have to-" started Ruby.

"Please. With the threat of Salem still out there and tensions rising in our kingdom, I certainly could use more trustworthy fighters by my side. I should be so lucky to have all of you."

The group stood silent while others were still shocked. Mainly, Cardin. The Winchester was having a hard time if this was true. Others found it hard to believe this was happening. After the fall of Beacon, they thought they won't be able to get their Huntsman licenses. Not after leaving Vale and head out for this journey. That their chances were gone forever and they will never become officially such. Not when the fate of Remnant was at stake. Laphicet was in the same boat he wasn't a student of Beacon and he wasn't even a teacher unlike his sister. So, why give him a license too.

"And what better way than to celebrate here? When this tower is ready and communications have been updated for better quality, we'll be ready to tell the world of Salem. After telling the kingdom of Atlas first. Face down whatever comes at us after that, together."

"We all waited for this day. But we never thought it will be like this" said Ruby.

"After everything we've been through, I almost forgot this is what I wanted in the first place" said Yang.

"When Beacon fell, I didn't even think this would even be possible. It almost feel trivial now" followed Blake.

"A lot has happened and it was hard to remember how it all started. It was always on the back of my mind. And I know this is the least how we expected it will go out but, I'm glad it did. It was our dream to become Huntsman and Huntresses. No matter our reasons, we wanted this. We chose to go to Beacon and help those in need. Past tragedies and all" Jaune smiled at Ren as Nora took his hand.

"Whether it was to chose a new path for your family."

Weiss nodded she hasn't regretted being a Huntress.

"Or become a fairy tale hero."

"When you put it that way it does sounds silly" Ruby sheepishly smiled.

"Or to fulfill a vision of equality."

"I will never give up on it. I can make a lot of good for both humans and faunus as a Huntress" said the raven haired girl.

"Or just to have a good time while traveling the world" resumed the Arc.

"I have traveled to Mistral, Argus and now here. I don't regret it, it's been a blast" the blond brawler grinned.

"Or because you wanted to be a show off."

Everyone turned to Cardin who still had his scroll opened. They all knew who he was talking about. The tall teen didn't said another word as he took off not giving a second glance. Guess he wanted to be alone for a while. The Winchester must have taken the news of having their Huntsman license personal. Yang kept her eyes on him she could, try and talk to him but she felt like he would turn her down. Better to give him some time off until he feels better. If he does feel better.

"It's about time. You all earned it through hard work and risking your lives. You didn't got the chance to graduate from Beacon but you all chose to stay on course of the path" spoke Velvet.

"When I wasn't around you all made a choice to go on a journey where so much is at stake. Of course you didn't know the whole thing back then but when you found out, you still chose to go forward and not back down. What matters you all chose to be here and fight for everyone, it wasn't me who brought you to this mission, you did. Making that choice and enduring everything that lead you here is enough proof that you deserve those licenses. You should all be proud of yourselves. I know I am."

Everyone smiled at her words, just exactly what they needed to hear. Nora has suddenly went to the long haired woman pulling her to a bone crushing hug. The older Crowe has actually forgotten how deadly her embraces can be.

"Velvet, you're speeches are getting more emotional each time! I feel like I have to give you a hug!"

"Save it, I can live without one!"

Ren went to the former teacher's rescue taking the ginger head away. A second longer and her lungs would have been crushed. Though the former therion was thinking who was stronger between the Valkyrie and Elm of the Ace Ops. Both ladies have insane brute strength. She recovered trying not to give it too much thought. Why did an arm wrestling match between them suddenly, popped into her head.

"That said. It's all the pomp I have in me. If you'll excuse me-"

"Before we get started on the celebration. I was hoping we could do something to commemorate the moment."

Velvet spoke again cutting off Ironwood, getting everyone's attention.

"Something like what?" asked the General.

"We're in Amity. I was thinking an exhibition match."

The suggestion really caught everyone by surprise. A match in the arena was something exciting to celebrate their well earned Huntsman licenses. The group like the idea depending on who will be competing. Qrow and Winter looked intrigue by the older Crowe's suggestion as Penny seemed to be more excited than the rest. As for Ironwood, he stood in thought. A celebration and an exhibition match doesn't sound like a bad idea.

"Hm...An exhibition match?"

"Following tournament rules. No one gets hurt."

"That would be awesome!" said the hyped Nora.

"I like it. I don't mind watching a traditional bout" replied Qrow.

"I don't have a problem with it. Who will be the competitors?" said the General.

"If it's okay with you, the Ace Ops."

The older Crowe's replied has surprised everyone in the arena. At first they thought she was kidding but Velvet doesn't kid that much.

"You serious?" the Branwen was baffled.

"Exhibition match, nothing serious."

"They're currently on standby except Clover who's on a mission" said Ironwood.

"Four of them will do" Velvet won't take chances considering the leader's semblance.

"Then who will be their opponents?" asked Winter.

"Team RWBY" she gave a slight smile.

The four girls were caught off guard at first. But they seemed to be more than ready. Everyone else was shocked at her recommendation. So four members of the Ace Ops against Ruby, Weiss, Blake and Yang. Winter was in thought at the odds. No matter how good her sister has gotten, her team won't be able to beat them, exhibition match or not. The others were on board along with Penny and Qrow. The General was still in thought. It really didn't sounded like a bad idea, he knew Team RWBY can handle themselves fairly. They're experienced and have gotten skilled during their time in Beacon and after the Fall.

It wouldn't be bad to have a sparring match of the sort. Plus, the Ace Ops are always more than ready for a challenge. This could raise their morale and learn from their allies. All in all, this exhibition match will be a good experience for both parties. If they can learn from each other it will be all right. Besides, a match between them will be something to look forward to. How much can the best of Atlas fare against a group of gifted rookie Huntresses. Well, he wouldn't exactly call them rookies not after everything they've been through.

"I accept. I'll contact the Ace Ops to meet us here. As long as we're following official tournament rules I have no trouble with it."

"All right!" Yang was as hyped as Nora.

"This is going to be interesting" said Qrow.

"They're going to get their butts kicked!" said the hyped Valkyrie.

"Someone's a little confident?" asked the Schnee Specialist.

Minutes later the members of the Ace Ops minus their leader, arrived at the arena. Ironwood explained them the situation as they agreed to be part of the exhibition match. And it got better when he told them they're opponents. They were facing Team RWBY which it got a reaction from Harriet. It was still bothering her what the leader Ruby commented on the friends thing. She and her team weren't friends of the sort, but allies, comrades. Nothing that they will be too close. Then, there were Velvet's words about being close makes them strong to the point that they can be unstoppable. No way, she didn't believe it. This match was a great chance to show the older Crowe she's wrong.

Everyone else has left the platform, leaving the two teams. Ironwood has activated the screens showing everyone's aura meter. Both teams seemed to be ready. They stood facing each other as Harriet was the first drew her weapon Fast Knuckles. The others followed shortly as RWBY did the same. The others were already cheering at the four girls except Velvet. She kept her eyes on both participants. After what she's seen from RWBY and the Ace Ops, this match will be very good. Specially when Ruby reunited her teammates earlier having a meeting them. The former therion hide her smirk knowing the silver eyed girl must have already made a plan to take them down. The only thing she was missing was the pop corn and a cold soda.

"Remember. This will be an exhibition match following official tournament rules. I expect you will all have a good clean fight. As soon as your aura hits the red you will be out of the match. The same if you're send out of the ring" explained the General.

The ring elevated a little as the other holographic screens appeared. It's started spinning to show the field where they will be fighting.

"You better not go easy on us. Because we won't said Harriet.

"Like we would hold back against you guys" smirked Yang.

"Not after seeing what you're capable of" followed Weiss.

"We're not holding back either kids so, give us a nice workout" smiled Elm probably more hype than the rest.

"It's just an exhibition. No need to take things too serious" said Marrow.

"It should be taken as a real fight as we were risking our lives" replied Vine.

"We're not planning on losing. Not so easily anyway" Ruby readied Crescent Rose.

They field screen slowly stopped. One showed the ice field, other fire, other water and the last one forest. Not bad for their exhibition match as the platforms around the ring opened and it was replaced by the four fields. The others were still cheering as the match was going to begin any second now. Ruby's eyes were on her partner as she gazed back. The same thing happened with Harriet turning to Marrow. The dog faunus replied giving a nod knowing what to do. The screen above them showed the countdown to start the match.

*Three...Two...One.

*FIGHT!

(Music: "War" featuring The Maiden Quartet from the RWBY volume 7 original soundtrack by Jeff Williams)

Weiss immediately acted firing ice dust straight at Marrow's hands. The young Ace Operative was shocked, both his hands were frozen while holding his weapon. Just what he needed as Harriet glared at the white haired girl. Of course they will go at the person with the time freeze semblance first. Vine stretched his arms after the former heiress as she dodged and charged at the dog faunus. Marrow gasped, she was coming after him. The other Operatives were going to help their companion as the rest of RWBY got interfered. Blake fired Gambol Shroud as Vine returned his arms to normal, Ruby fired at Elm as the tall woman barely avoided the fire and Yang was able to land hits against the fast Harriet.

Both teams were ignoring the big cheers that were obviously for RWBY. It was cool and making the four girls to give it their best. But, they were lost I focus knowing their opponents aren't normal opponents. These guys were obviously better than anyone they have faced at the Vytal Festival. They traded blows as they avoided to get hit keeping an eye on their aura level. Ruby knew fighting them together will put them on a disadvantage so she went with her plan to try and weaken them splitting them up. Sure, it could be a bad idea considering these guys are experienced enough but it was a risk they will have to take. The silver eyed petite gave the order to scatter through the many combat fields.

"Predictable" Harriet was that confident they don't stand a chance.

They split up in two teams following them through the fields. Elm with Vine and Harriet with Marrow. They were still cheering on the all girls team as Velvet was the only one who was quiet. She kept on staring at the match calmly having a clue what Ruby has in mind. Splitting up was a doubled edged sword if the Ace Ops are experienced in single combat than on team work. Problem here, it was two versus two now instead of a four on four brawl. Only one way to find out.

Yang and Elm reached the forest field, both were going at it as the heavy hitters of the team facing at a crazy showdown. The brawler punches and fire as the tall woman of the Ace Ops kept her distance while swinging her hammer, trading blows as if this fight was everything. She got assist from Vine to even up the score but the paled man got hit by Blake. Using Gambol Shroud's sickle feature. Both teaming up to gain the upper hand using a series of combo attacks. Elm used her semblance to take the blows and not budged. Vine stretched his arms towards the blond only for the cat faunus to get in the way and get hit. But her body vanished showing it was a clone. Blake released another clone as it charged at the paled Operative. Her partner gave her a push sending her straight at him.

The clone and original were attacking Vine putting him in a corner. Elm still in her semblance, changed her hammer to rocket launcher before she got punched by the brawler. Yang followed with a barrage but her blows got blocked. A hit from those rockets will be more than enough to send their aura to the red. So they couldn't let her fire them. The two Ace Operatives teamed up, showing the two Huntresses what they're all about. Trading blows as their aura decreased, it seemed they were in the same level the same with how good they are working together.

Weiss kept on firing dust at Marrow, not wanting to give him a chance to use his semblance as the two were on the ice field. The dog faunus was doing his hardest dodging, and clashing with the white haired girl. So if she won't let him then he will have no choice but to fight her without using it. Of course he doesn't rely on it all the time, he still has his fighting skills. The former heiress used her glyphs to gained the upper hand with more dust attacks. He will blocked it with his weapon Fetch changing it to rifle mode, firing back. Using glyphs to move faster she went for the attack as Marrow quickly changed his weapon back to boomerang mode, as they went to a clash off.

Not that far Ruby and Harriet were having a race over an actual fight using their semblances. Looks like both were fast enough as the dark skinned woman attempted a couple of punches at the silver eyed girl. She countered flying high firing the rifle feature of her scythe. But the Ace Operative showed she was quick on her feet as her eyes glowed yellow and her body filled with yellow lightning. The red cloak leader used her semblance charging at her, performing some melee attacks that were blocked. Guess she was tougher than she looks alone. She quickly gazed over her white haired partner, she was busy fighting the dog faunus.

Time to get together even, if the fight will get harder fighting them as a team. This time, the reaper ran off from her opponent as Harriet glared. The hell she was thinking running away. It was a sign of desperation and clearly she doesn't stand a chance against her. A sign that she will take to her advantage as she went after her. And of course she caught up with the reaper attacking her relentlessly not giving her a choice but to defend herself.

"Take this fight seriously or you'll lose!"

Ruby saw Weiss landing next to her as her opponent didn't looked happy. Poor Marrow had his hands frozen again. She really didn't wanted him to use his semblance. As the former heiress turned to her silver eyed partner, she nodded with a sly grin. She grinned as she turned dust barrel of Myrtenaster to red dust. Harriet's eyes widened s eyes widened in shock knowing what she was planning. She turned to her faunus comrade.

"Run!"

Weiss used all of the fire dust in her weapon as the wave hit the entire ice field. Having the obvious effect as it melted turning to water. She quickly summoned the Queen Lancer taking her and the red cloak leader from falling. Marrow and Harriet were also quick enough to get away. The dog faunus was almost out of breath and he was shocked. Not believing they were crazy enough to burn an entire field. His hands were all cold as the ice eventually melted, he won't miss this chance to take the leader in the match. His semblance will be enough to use it once if the dark skinned member is with him.

"STAY!"

The Queen Lancer along with the two girls suddenly froze. Leaving them wide opened.

"Hare!"

The woman smirked as she jumped at the faunus and he gave her a push straight at the two. Using her semblance she increased her speed unleashing a barrage of punches causing their aura bar to decreased dramatically.

"Go get them!"

"You can do it!"

"Don't give up!"

Jaune, Nora and Laphicet were still cheering for the all girl team. Though weren't looking good at RWBY as their aura has hit the yellow while the Ace Ops was still in the green. Penny wanted to cheer for them but she also wanted to cheer on the Atlas Operatives, how she hates this. Could she cheer for them both, that's not how it works. It was one team and that's it. Looks like all she could do is watch and believe in Team RWBY. Qrow and Ironwood kept staring at the match while Winter was taken that her sister was able to learned summoning. A smile spread her features feeling so proud for her. They were impressed with the performance of both teams. Doing a pretty good job.

"Not bad, eh?" asked the Branwen.

The General and the Specialist didn't replied as they resumed watching with everyone.

The four regrouped as they stood in the lava field. Ruby has taken a quick glance at the screen showing their aura meter. It wasn't looking good and she knew this was going to happen. What to expect from Atlas elite. The Ace Ops weren't fazed staring at their opponents while Harriet kept her grin. They had this match in the bag no matter what happens. The red cloak girl turned to her team. This was the outcome of fighting alongside their proper partners. Time to mix it up and see if they can get a different result. They have switched as Blake went to Weiss and Yang to her sister catching the Operatives by surprise.

The former heiress went after Elm as the raven haired faunus went after Marrow. Making both defend themselves getting caught in the brawl. The blond went after Harriet and the reaper after Vine. This wasn't enough to lower their guard, facing them without losing focus. Team RWBY wasn't backing down not even when the odds were against them. They were following their leader's plan as they kept their focus on the Aces. Making sure to fight the whole team but to keep it two on two as they were sure they can still turn this around with the right moves.

Weiss kept on using her fast strikes and thrusts but Elm has proven to be tougher than she thought. Her aura was decreasing, she will have to play it safe using her semblance. Blake gave her a hand as she got hit by Marrow's boomerang only to vanished. The dog faunus gasped realizing it was another clone from the cat faunus. She caught him by surprise as he was hit by a flurry of attacks enough, to put his aura on the red. He was the first to be out of the match. Elm gasped when she got hit by something, turning around she saw nothing. Only to be staring at a small knight in white, the former heiress grinned as she made her summon increased in size.

The tall woman of the Ace Ops used her semblance as she was able to hold the sword of the knight. Both Huntresses charged taking their chance to beat her. Elm was able to pushed back the summon, quickly changing her hammer to rocket launcher. Locked on and fired her mistake, that the two girls were already too closed to her. The explosion caught everyone's attention. When the smoke cleared, the three were downed and their aura were in the red. That was two on two members out leaving four remaining. It was a tie and it was still hard to decide the winner.

Harriet was shocked and angry at how this match was going. There was no room for debate, they have this won. It was impossible for a team of rookie Huntresses to be able to go toe to toe with them or even beat them. They're the Ace Ops, the best of the best of Atlas. And here they were, being put in their place. The woman grew angry as she kept trading blows with the blond brawler of RWBY. They weren't going to win, there was no way they will win. Taking a glance at Vine, he was having trouble trying to land a blow on the red cloak girl and leader of the team. With her aura on the yellow, she couldn't risk use her semblance one more time.

"Vine! Trade places with me!"

The tall paled man nodded but Ruby didn't let him firing and immediately reloading. Yang did the same with her opponent. Not giving the dark skinned woman go after her sister. She got punched a few times as her aura decreased. The young woman ran normally as she teamed up with her comrade. The brawler was following her, she wasn't going to make it. Vine has actually taken his weapon on his back, about to launch an attack on the blond. Ruby acted by instinct avoiding Harriet's punches with her semblance and got in front of Yang, taking the blow from the other Operative. Her aura hit the red getting eliminated.

"Ruby!"

"Go get them sis" she smiled, even in her state.

That was enough, more than enough to motivate the brawler. Risking for her aura to drop she activated her semblance increasing her strength from all the hits she took. One punch as she sent Vine flying outside of the ring as he was out of the match. His aura also was in the red. Her semblance was gone as the brawler panted leaving herself opened. Giving Harriet the chance to attack as she performed a barrage of punches and Yang got caught. Her aura got on the red she was out and team RWBY lost the bout.

(Music end)

Harriet felt satisfied, just as she thought they won. The Ace Ops took this win in the exhibition match. Yet, they were still cheering for them which got her upset. Happy that the team they were cheering lost. The rest of the Operatives as well as the girls got up regrouping as Ironwood used the arena's controls to put the fields away. The others walked over as they were all happy for the four girls and their performance. Velvet gave a smile to them they did better than she thought.

"You were all great" smiled Laphicet.

"Yeah. You guys kicked butt!" said Nora.

"You're making big fuzz over them." Spoke Harriet.

"They fought well. I think they did a good job" replied Jaune being honest.

"They lost" the mohawk woman sounded unhappy.

"Did they?"

Everyone turned to Velvet.

"If you thought the point of this match is who would win or lose, then you're wrong."

"Indeed. The purpose of the exhibition match was to test both team's skills and capabilities during combat. As well as team dynamic. I realized that was Velvet's intention when she suggested it. Team RWBY has shown a solid team work performance not just with their assigned partners but with their other teammates too. You four on the other hand are used to fight with your partners thought your performance was also admirable as expected as Ace Operatives, I believe you should have handled the situation differently. Clearly you weren't expecting when they switched partners" spoke Ironwood.

The four stood in thought while Harriet was doing her best not to get angry. If they were measuring the match from those standards that means. She didn't wanted to think about it. It was true that they rely more on their partners but they still beat team RWBY. They proved to be the better team.

"Just because you're Ace Operatives, doesn't mean you can no longer learn something new. I'm sure you can learn something from each other. All in all, both of you did a great job. It was a very good match."

"A lesson well learned" said Vine.

Harriet gave a nod acknowledging her mistake and felt bad with herself. She should be careful the next time her temper and pride gets the best of her.

"You all were amazing!" Penny finally let it out.

"You all deserve a break and a celebration. You have earned it. Congratulations" James smiled to everyone.

They haven't forgotten that the military has actually brought a cake to celebrate for their newly Huntsman licenses. They weren't going to waste such a threat as the General was ready to leave before stopping. He rubbed his forehead feeling the exhaustion hitting a new level. Qrow and Winter noticed.

"Do you think we have what it takes Cardin?"

"Of course we do, what kind of question is that Russ?"

"Graduating from Beacon is not as easy as they say" said Dove.

"Stop it. I don't want to hear it. We made it here, right? Don't be a negative butt head."

"I hope we can become a strong team like RWBY or JNPR" said Sky Lark.

"Hey! We are a strong team, I don't care what any of you say. We will find a way to get over this crap and graduate. I'm telling you, we will have our Huntsman license."

Russel, Dove and Sky smiled. They weren't perfect, but at least they were together as a team. They made it to Beacon and they wanted to see this journey to the end.

"Now, let's go bully someone. Any school has it's own loser club."

Cardin stood seated in a corner of the Colosseum hallway. Holding onto his scroll that had student ID changed to official Huntsman license. The tears weren't stopping as he kept on thinking of his team. They were the loser club after all but they all wanted to become Huntsman graduating from Beacon. It was their dream even if they weren't the best people in the school. After all their stupid antics and the hell the Winchester went through, his dream finally became a reality. Problem is, he was the only one who fulfilled it. The rest weren't here to see that dream come true. Not that far Yang stood staring at the tall teen. The brawler decided to give him some space her lilac eyes filled with hurt that he was still dealing with this.

Once everything was set for the celebration, the group didn't hesitated. Penny showed them her cutting cake skills using her swords. Everyone had some cake enjoying the sweet taste. Most were talking, while taking pictures. Guess they needed to enjoy themselves for once. Its been too long since they have had a break like this. Penny was so happy finding out they will finally get their licenses. Honestly she wanted to jump the walls and fly all around when she first found out. It was almost impossible to keep it a secret until it was the right time for the big reveal. And she would laughed, talked and take pictures with her friends.

Weiss had a talk with her older sister before she left with General Ironwood. Knowing they're going to be very busy in the coming weeks doing missions. As much as she wanted to help everyone protecting Mantle there was something else. Something she's been wanting to do since she left Atlas for the second time. And it was about her family, the white haired girl wanted to give them a visit. Traveling with Velvet and everyone has really given her time to think things through. By the she came back home, she has made up her mind. Besides, everyone else can handle the missions without her.

Laphicet was still shocked that he, of all people got a Huntsman license. It felt like some kind of weird dream. He never prepared himself for it, he never thought of it, or asked for it. No training except having the powers of an Empyrean and a few lessons from Weiss. He didn't said anything because he didn't wanted to disappoint the General or his sister and friends. Since he can fight and he's good at it might as well accepted and not complain. The teen blushed as Ruby got closed to him taking a selfie with him using her scroll. Her smile was enough to make his heart beat like crazy. Then she offered him some cake and he took it with a red face.

Ironwood and Winter walked the hallway as they were ready to leave the Colosseum. The General knew there was still so much to do and he wasn't out of this yet. The radio tower was far from being done, the same with the rebuilt Colosseum before it can take off. These coming weeks are going to be the busiest of his entire life. The man rubbed his eyes a bit while the white haired woman next to him noticed. It was going to be another day with her superior not getting anything after everything he's been doing for the safety of the kingdom. As they resumed to reached the end, Qrow stood in the way.

"Back to work?"

"I do have other matters to attend."

The Branwen nodded what else to expect from this guy. Workaholic is nowhere near to describe him.

"You've always been loyal to your position James. You swore to fulfill your duties to the people admirable, that's why Oz chose to tell you everything and have you in his circle."

"Not everything" his tone said it all, he was obviously still not happy with knowing the whole truth.

"You weren't the only one he kept the secret. I was more upset at him than you. You need to do everything in your power to keep the kingdom safe, I get it. I'm sure everyone does. But not like this. You think we haven't noticed, your appearance is a dead giveaway?"

"I'm going to bet ever since the Fall of Beacon you haven't had a decent rest or a proper meal?"

"I am too busy for rest. There's so much to do. I thought you would understand."

Winter stood firm while she was sighing mentally. How she wanted to say right into his face.

"I do. I am not questioning if you're busy because everyone knows you are. But there's a limit, James. You have gone over that limit and now it's affecting you in a very bad way. You're not eating or resting and it's been like that for a while. It has taken a big toll on you. The exhaustion must be weighting you down so much. You must know it."

The General stood in thought as he has been able to feel it for who knows how long. His body felt like he could trip any minute collapsing from the exhaustion. He would lie if hasn't noticed. At first, it was easy to ignore it and resume his work. Over time, he got used to it always pushing it. But now, it has gone to the point that it was too hard to shrug it aside. It has gotten so strong it's like he was having an internal battle with it.

"Is there a reason for all of this Qrow?"

"As a matter of fact, yes. It's time to take a break and get some rest. Real rest. And I'm not talking a ten minute sleep or eyes resting thing. Sleep until your body recovers your strength and energy. Your body is not completely that of a machine. Someone who has overworking himself for the sake of everyone deserves it more than you know. Don't deny it and don't argue you know I'm right."

"I'm fine-"

"No you're not. You know it, I know it, heck everyone knows it! Even those that work closely to you. Problem is, they don't have the guts to tell it to your face. They don't want to upset you. Time to put your pride aside and realize the truth. I'm not telling you this as a Huntsman, but as a friend. We've known each other long enough, I know how stubborn you can be. If you won't do it for me then, do it for your men and those that are loyal to you."

"Sir…." Winter finally spoke" he's right. You know it is impossible I would EVER agree with Qrow on something. But, there is always a first time and I highly agreed with him. With all due respect General Ironwood, you really need rest. You have pushed yourself too much for far too long. You can't continue working like this. For once forget any businesses you have for the time being and focus on getting a good sleep. I'm aware of my selfish request I know I had disobeyed you before, you don't deserve to hear this from me. You're too important to be in such a state. If the kingdom sees you in exhaustion they might lose faith in you as the one that can assure them with security and safety."

"You should take the advice of your right hand. You're in no condition to even act properly. Bet you can't defend yourself. I can attack you right now…."

The Branwen has suddenly charged at the General taking his weapon as the older Schnee gasped. She couldn't react on time to reached for her saber as the sharp blade of Harbinger was inches from Ironwood's neck. The man couldn't react, he couldn't even think to try and take Due Process from its sheath. He actually left himself wide opened for an attack. Was he this weak, never. But the fact that he was indeed tired, exhausted beyond reason must be it.

"What is wrong with you!?" shouted the angry Specialist to the Huntsman.

"Just making a point" he sheathed the bladed weapon back.

"If you were fighting an enemy, you would have been dead. The James I know would have already been pointing his gun right at my head. Yet, you didn't even took it. Being tired has left you weak and vulnerable and the Kingdom of Atlas can't have a weak General leading them. You think you're being strong by not getting enough rest and not eating a healthy meal, but you're wrong. You're only making it worse leaving yourself exposed like this. Get some rest and eat something. I don't care if you have to sleep three days, just get better."

"The council meeting is in four days…." he rubbed his forehead feeling that tired.

"But I suppose that should be enough to rest and feel refreshed."

Qrow and Winter thought they heard wrong. Was he really taking the advice to take a damn long break.

"It's been too long and I feel like I can't go on anymore. I don't want to fail anyone. There's so much at stake."

"You continue down this path and you will fail" the Branwen felt bad saying it but he had to.

Ironwood nodded rubbing his forehead. Having the urge to go to his chambers and embraced his comfy bed.

"Winter."

"Sir?"

"I'll be taking a few days off. Until then, you'll be in charge."

"Yes sir" she smiled so relief to finally hear that.

"You're doing the right thing, you will feel a whole lot better. A good rest can do wonders."

"I will head out to handle some matters and after, I will get some sleep."

"Works for me. Glad that my way worked" smiled the Branwen.

"Your way?"

"Either it was my way, talking you into it and there was Velvet's way. She wanted to beat you up until you were unconscious."

"I see. I should be lucky."

"Very" Qrow gave a smirk.

The General finally excused himself passing next to the scythe master. Winter got closed to him making him feel embarrassed, what was she doing.

"Thank you" she muttered.

He nodded as she followed him. Guess something good came out from this celebration. Asides her nieces and everyone finally getting their Huntsman licenses. That was one burden removed from his shoulders. Maybe now, James will be taking it easy and getting more rest from now on.

Weiss stood in the family limousine after Winter dropped her off at the school. She has made the call at the manor that her younger sister wanted to return home. It was still hard for the older Schnee why does she want to returned. Not after running away again, she wanted to go back. A bird going back to a cage, not recommendable. But the white haired girl insisted she wanted to visit the rest of her family so she didn't argued with her choice. The former heiress didn't know what to say, after how she just left last time without a word. And because of her actions, Klein got fired. She wasn't sure of her mother and Whitley will probably hide his smirk as she will get scolded by her father. Specially how things went back at the entrance to the mine.

The elegant automatic fence with the Schnee family symbol opened, arriving at the manor. Weiss was getting more nervous, she hated whenever this happens. It felt stupid but she actually misses them and she wanted to make things right. At least, try her best. The vehicle parked near the front of the large house. The white haired girl took a breath, trying to put a smile. Her father better be in a better mood than last time and he better not take his anger on her or she won't hesitate to use her Paladin summon. The door opened as one of the manor's servant stood on the other side.

"Welcome home Miss Schnee."

"Thank you."

Usually, this was also part of Klein's job to receive her home. It wasn't the same without him. He was the family butler the one who will look after her the most. The servant opened the front door as the former heiress glance at the entrance hallway. To her surprise Whitley stood near the stairs to the second floor. Honestly, she wasn't expecting to see her younger brother waiting for her. His smile, that smile he will always give her. It was always fake, probably to hide his anger towards her and Winter. Could she really blame him. His reasons must be just, that's what she thought. So, she did her best giving an equal smile. Not just fake but a real one.

"Welcome back, dear sister."

"Whitley…." she kept staring upstairs if they were planning to receive her but, she doubted it.

"In case you're wondering father isn't home. He's busy working on his campaign."

Of course that was it. Jacquess was doing whatever it takes to win the election. Even blackmailing the General of the Atlas military. Though with Ironwood's warning, she doubted he would try something that is consider illegal. Her father may be greedy and a bastard but he was most of all, a coward. At least she won't have to see him for the time being.

"So glad to see you again after you ran off, again."

The former heiress was trying to figure out how to approach him. She has so much to make up and she didn't know how to start.

"I know you have every right to be upset with me. I haven't been fair with you, for so long. I feel like I owe you enough."

The white haired boy was now staring at her in surprise. Just what was she talking about. She was sounding so different from her usual self.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry for not being a good sister. I was so focused on myself, forgetting about everyone. Including you."

Whitley's eyes widened.

"I should have given you more attention, I should have been there for you. For that I'm sorry. I'm not asking for your forgiveness, I only want a second chance. I know it's late but give me this chance to prove to you I care."

He stood silent for a couple of seconds. Then he chuckled as Weiss sighed. Sure, pretty obvious he wasn't going to believe her words. She didn't blamed him considering the kind of life he has left. Exactly the same as hers, full of solitude. She wasn't there because she was too caught up on her own life being dictated by her father.

"Oh sister, I never thought you will ever have a sense of humor."

"I'm serious. I know you had it rough like me, or worse than me. I can't take those years back but I can still try. All I'm asking is that you give me one chance."

"It's not funny the second time. It wasn't even the funny the first time."

"I'm not kidding. I want to be there for you now. We never had the best relationship. I want to try and fix what we have."

The white haired teen turned to leave.

"Whitley?" she caught up to him only to be faced with a cold gaze that stopped the girl on her tracks.

"Enough. Your humor isn't humor. Don't try to play the Good Samaritan now. You're too late."

He finally left as Weiss gave a sigh, she didn't even got the chance to ask him where their mother could be. Not like she was expecting it was going to be easy. She had a long way to go before she can make a difference. Good thing she has the time because she was planning to stay for a while. Sure, the others have everything under control no need to get worried. She was only worried for herself, knowing she has a lot of work to do. Time to make the best of it.

Ironwood stood on his personal ship and he couldn't have feel any better. In fact, he has never felt so much better in a long time. Guess that rest really did the trick. But to think he has slept for almost four days, he was that tired. He has really pushed himself beyond his limit and it was no wonder why he was fighting with exhaustion every day. He also had quite the meal before heading out because he sure needed it. Now he knew to get some rest and food when necessary even when he already knew. No person can work under such conditions, it was impossible. At least, he was able to wake up just in time for the council meeting.

The General gazed at the person that was sitting in front of him. Oscar stood looking calm, hiding that he was very nervous. It surprised the man when the teen came to him, telling him he wanted to accompany him to the meeting. The boy wanted to testify and approve on everything he will be telling the council as truth. It was still a mystery if Ozpin will interfere and take over the boy to speak on his behalf. His presence and words will be more than enough to convince them. But relying on the former headmaster when he couldn't trust him anymore. Ironwood still upset with him for keeping information from him.

"Are you nervous?"

"Heh I, I guess. I've never spoken before so many people."

"You've been in worse situations than this. This will be...A walk in the park."

"Yeah, when you put it like that. I'm not used to being the center of attention that's all" he chuckled considering he was now Ozpin's vessel, it's an understatement.

"I want to thank you for volunteering Oscar. It will surely made things easier for me."

"I did a lot of thinking and realized the others are doing so much for you and the kingdom. I want to be useful too, in any way possible."

"Speaking like a true Huntsman. You'll do fine just, remember to be calm and be yourself."

"I hope they can believe me. It feels crazy."

"Telling them everything that is considered impossible, I understand. It will not be easy but we have to, we must convince them of Salem's existence and the threat she represents to Remnant."

"General...Are you still angry with me?"

"No, I'm not. I'm only upset with Oz, not you Oscar. I haven't thought of forgiving him for what he did yet. We trusted him, myself, Qrow and Glynda. We swore our loyalty to him, we put our trust and faith in him. And this is how he repaid us. Keeping a secret that would have changed everything if only…."

"Maybe that's why he chose to kept it. He knew you would all be upset but most importantly, afraid. That you might lose hope because she's immortal. That it could be a fight with no good outcome."

"The fact she's immortal still hasn't sink in. She may have eternal life but I'm not planning in calling it a quits. Oz might have given up but not me. I if do, it will all be over. Stand and do nothing while Salem wrecks havoc on the world. I can't do that."

"The others are not giving up either. They have made their choice to fight until the end. No matter if the odds are against them."

"And you? Are you willing to follow them too?"

"I am. I will stood by their side until the end."

Ironwood nodded pleased with his response. Guess Ozpin chose a good candidate to be his vessel. It was a shame too. He will eventually take over his mind body fully and Oscar will cease to exists like all the vessels from his past lives. It sounded like a cruel fate but it must be harder on the person that keeps getting reincarnated every time he dies.

They left the ship as it arrived at their destination. Oscar took a long look at the building before him. Pretty big, almost as big as Atlas Academy. The General told him this was the government building where the council reunites for their meeting. They walked to the entrance as it was guarded by two military personnel, saluting to the General. The doubled doors slide opened as they entered the building. The place was bigger inside than outside. This was the building where court cases will be held too as well as the history archives. Ironwood told him where council chamber is, being in the fourth floor.

Taking the elevator to reach the designated floor, Oscar was getting worse. More like he was getting more nervous at how the hearing will go out. How could he be calm at the bombshell they were about to dropped on the council. How will they even take it, not going to believe them a word at first. The farm hand tried to contact Ozpin earlier but there was still no answer from him. Looks like it was up to him to help Ironwood convince them of this threat and everything else. It's like telling people fairy tales are real, magic exists, the Gods are real. Might as well get send to a mental hospital and get treated like crazy people.

They left the elevator as it reached the floor. Approaching the entrance to the council chamber there were two talking. One was an older man with pale complexion with black, slicked back, graying hair, light blue eyes with glasses. Wearing a suit with a gray-blue vest and dark blue tie. The second was an older woman with dark skin and dark eyes. Her gray hair was tied on a curly style with purple eyed shadow. Wearing a black shirt with a wine-red coat over the top. A golden necklace around her neck with matching earrings, black pants and a black belt with a golden circular buckle. Oscar immediately thought they must be members of the council if they're here.

"Council man Sleet and Camila" the General greeted with a cordial smile.

"James, always early. The others will be arriving shortly."

Both men gave a handshake as the council woman with dark skinned was staring at the teen with the General.

"And who might this young man be?"

"This is Oscar Pine. He will be participating in the meeting's hearing as my aide."

"Nice to meet you" greeted the farm boy.

Both council members stared at each other not seeing this coming. It was the first time someone so young will be taking part of this event.

"Well, I see no problem with it. You have our attention as to why you ask for this meeting. Usually meetings are three months after the last one. This one, is a month after."

"I assure you this meeting is very important as well, as Oscar's participation in it. The fate of all of Remnant is at stake."

That was enough to get their attention for the second time. While the teen was doing his hardest to remain calm and kill his nervousness.

Minutes later the rest of the members arrived as they greeted each other before, entering the council chamber. They took their seats as Oscar remained standing. The chamber was circular as all the seats were occupant except, for one. The empty one that should be won in the coming election. Each desk had a device for a holographic screen as well as an opening to insert their scroll. Sleet and Camilla were seated on the other side. The rest of the council men were all dressed the same way, with suits of all kind of colors. The woman were also dressed in a similar fashion as the dark skinned woman. All of these people were from the high wealthy class of the kingdom. The farm hand stood next to Ironwood's seat, his stomach must be filled with butterflies. How will he keep a calm face without getting nervous. Gather some strength and courage to get through this.

"Thank you all for coming to attend this meeting. I know this is quite early considering, our last meeting was a month ago. My reasons for ordering one ASAP are just and as I said to council members Sleet and Camilla earlier. This is a very urgent matter that needs to be discussed with everyone in this room. The very fate of this kingdom and the others are at risk."

Well, that was more than enough to get all of the council members' attention. They really wanted to know the reason for this meeting. Oscar remained silent, as he noticed many of the people were staring at him. Wondering who is he and what was he doing here. At least Sleet and Camilla knew, that's two out of a hundred, or two hundred.

"Now, before I introduced the young man next to me. I will get straight to the point for calling all of you here" The General stood firm as his resolve was strong, ready to finally tell them the truth.

And that's what he did. Almost an hour of explaining the events of the past that took place thousands of years ago. Oscar maintain his cool as he watched the council members' expression changed as the time went by. From deep focus, to shocked and baffled. Yeah, that's was exactly the kind of reaction he was expecting to see. Not like they weren't going to react at all. It was indeed one crazy story impossible to believe. Ironwood finally finished telling the story returning to the present. Once he was done, there was a long silence in the room. Sure, they were all processing what they just heard. And ready to call them out as insane, or mentally ill.

"General...We're all aware it's been rough, these past months. And anyone can clearly see you've been pushing yourself to your limit. Admirable, but careless. Letting exhaustion take over is simply not a wise choice. We've been wanting to discuss the matter for some time."

"I appreciate it council man Wallace. I am fine now, after resting for enough days. I'm not delusional. Everything I have said is true, whether you want to believe me or not it is entirely up to you. But we must prepare the kingdom for when Salem attacks. The Fall of Beacon, the attack on Haven, it was all her doing. Atlas may be next, we must be ready for the worse."

There was a lot of murmuring within the room as Oscar was getting more nervous. It's just as he thought, they don't believe squat.

"You really expect us to believe this?" said a female council member.

"Agreed. This is beyond ludicrous, it is simply pure madness."

"With all due respect General Ironwood. Everyone in this room has heard enough legends that will last a life time. However, we're not here to discuss fairy tales. Old stories our fore fathers spoke of and our parents told us at one time. This is not the time for such trivial things."

"If this was the reason for this meeting, I am disappointed at you James. When there are important matters we must address such as the current state of Mantle" spoke Camilla.

"The Gods exist. The brothers of Light and Darkness are real, the birth of magic, Salem, the four maidens as well as the relics are very much real. I would never say false testament specially, not to any of you. I have enough evidence to proof my claim. For starters the current Winter Maiden is being treated at the military's private hospital. You all know her as Fria."

"Impossible…." Wallace was in shock.

"Former General Nightingale's mother?" followed Sleet.

"The very same. The Atlas relic, the Staff of Creation is currently secured at the Vault underground of my school. Unfortunately, I cannot show you the relic because I would like for the staff to remain locked for safety. However, you're all more than welcome to visit Fria under my supervision. She can give you a taste of her maiden powers even, at her condition she should be able to present a short demonstration. Only the Winter Maiden can open the Vault meaning, Fria's the only one who has access to the staff."

More murmuring filled the room as the sound of a gavel shut them up immediately. Ironwood gazed at the seat before him at the man responsible. The older man was bold with dark eyes and a white mustache with a monocle, wearing a black suit. This was Gerald Copper the president of the council and first seat. He was the one in charge and the one with the power to decide how the kingdom will be run. Basically, he's the head that composes the government body. The man has put the gave down as he stood in thought.

"That is enough. Everyone will maintain order in this room. Now, this is quite the tale you have brought upon us James. I can't say I was expecting something less complicated. You surely outdone yourself this time."

"I can assure you I am not joking. This is a very serious matter that needs immediate attention. The fate of our kingdom, the fate of Remnant is at stake. This is a threat that existed for thousands of years and if we don't do something now it will be too late. It is why we must make a stand and fight."

"Hm...I have known you for years James. Way before you attended military school and before you earned the rank of General. You're one who would never lie because it goes against your morals. If everything you have said is true then, does this also apply to this being you mentioned, this...Salem?"

"Yes. Due to the many years she has existed Salem has mastered her magical powers as well as controlling the creatures of Grimm. In which they were originally creations of the God of Darkness. Her goal is to gather the four relics, for what purpose, I don't know. But I do know it's nothing good. If she was willing to attacked Beacon and Haven to obtain them it means, she's willing to do anything even if it means taking the lives of millions of innocent people. She will stop at nothing until she gets what she wants."

"If you still choose not to believe me, that is all right. I have more evidence to add."

And he turned to Oscar as he gasped. The council's eyes were on him and by now, the poor teen was probably the size of an ant that wanted to crawl back to his ant hill. The whole time he was silent he was scared beyond his mind. And when they started talking, it got worse. Now suddenly, he become the center of attention. So he did his best not to make himself look like a fool in front of these important people. It was time to prove himself to the General he was going to be useful in this meeting.

"I'm certain you have all been asking what is he doing here, who is he and why did I brought him here. He's going to be testifying in my favor" Ironwood chose to let him take the stand.

"Hello. My name is Oscar, Oscar Pine. I'm a farm hand from Anima."

"Are you from Mistral?" asked a female council member.

"Uh, no. But the farm where I lived is not that far from the capital of the kingdom."

The woman nodded as the teen resumed to gather some confidence and courage.

"The reason I'm here before you all today, is because I can certify that everything General Ironwood has said is true. I'm proof of it. I have a connection with Ozpin."

Murmurs were followed, all eyes were once more on the farm boy. He took a quick glance at the General who nodded in return as he went back to the people.

"Ozpin, the headmaster of Beacon Academy?" asked Sleet.

"We heard he tragically lost his life during the Fall of Beacon" followed President Copper.

"That is true. But as stated by the General, Ozpin's ability to reincarnate every time he dies activated. This time, his soul reincarnated into...Me."

Murmurs of shock and wonder echoed the room as Copper hit his gavel to calm them.

"Care to repeat that son?" asked the President of the council.

"I'm Ozpin's next vessel in his reincarnation cycle. His soul is with me and eventually my body and soul will merge with his soul, creating his new life. I basically have some of his memories as of now. It's a lot to take in, I still find it hard to believe everything. Once he was the righteous and courageous warrior Osma until he was given with a very important task by the God of Light. I've seen it."

The council members stood silent as their expressions of shock and awe were visible. Mainly Sleet, Camilla, Wallace and President Copper.

"I know it's hard to believe some farm kid but I wouldn't be here if the information I'm providing is false."

There was a short silence as Copper gazed at the youth.

"Can you show us your claim?"

"What…?"

"Can you prove to us what you say is true? James said that Ozpin will usually take over his vessels, gaining complete control over their bodies. Can he take over your body as well?"

"Yes…." it was true but he wasn't sure if he will do it, because he hasn't heard from the former headmaster in days.

Not since, he told Ironwood the truth of Salem and the General got so angry with him. The General stood silent, he was concerned this was going to happen. The council wants this kind of evidence and he didn't know if they will be fully convince if their request isn't fulfilled.

"Show them, Oscar" he was putting his confidence in him.

"I…."

"What should I do? I...I know you can hear me I need your help. They're asking for proof. You're the only one that can convince them. I know you want to give me more freedom but right now, you have to take over and tell them. If I fail then so does Ironwood. If we can't make the council believe Salem's real then, how are we going to succeed to tell the rest of the world?"

"Velvet is believing in me, the General is believing in me. If you don't want to let anyone down again, now's the time! Ozpin...Please...We need you. Just this once."

Ironwood had a feeling this wasn't going to work. As much as he wanted to deny it, Oscar isn't enough. They needed Ozpin to confirm everything he has said. If the council listens to him, there will be enough evidence that it's all true. And suddenly, the teen's eyes glowed as he seemed to have lost conscious. His head slowly rose as he gazed at the group of people in circular room. The General was surprised as they stared that the farm hand's expression was more mature, more experience and older. As he has lived forever.

("Greetings, members of the Atlas council.")

"What is going on?" Sleet was shocked like the rest.

"You're looking at Ozpin. He has taken over Oscar's body to communicate with you" explained the General.

"Impossible…." said Camilla.

"Is this some kind of sick joke?" followed Wallace.

"Everyone, order. Let's hear what he has to say. If you truly are who James claims you to be" replied Copper.

("Thank you council President. I am Ozpin at least, that is my name in this life. What James and my vessel Oscar has said is all correct. I was given the mission to unite humanity while fighting Salem by the God of Light. Until the day comes for unity he and his younger brother the God of Darkness, must not be summon to Remnant. With her threat, it is impossible for humans as well as faunus to be together.")

"Can it ever be achieved?" asked Copper.

("It's hard to say. There's so much violence, death, conflict, discrimination all over the world. It's as if that day of union will never arrive. But is there one thing I have learned in the many years I have been living, in my many lives. Humanity is a very strong species with determination and a resolve to try and defy the impossible odds. Not alone, but together. There is a greater power that we possessed.")

The room was silent while Ironwood felt a little relief Ozpin chose to come right on the nick of time to help them. But the bigger issue regarding Salem hasn't been touched yet. It has to be brought, he was counting on it.

"If everything that has been said by the General, your vessel and you true. Then Salem being immortal also true?" spoke council member Wallace.

And the former headmaster stood quiet in deep thought. Remembering how Ruby's teammates and Qrow took it. How James took it that he completely lost trust in him. He promised himself, no more secrets, no more lies, no more half truths. Just the truth and nothing but the truth. Though the results of it will never be a good one expecting the council members will grow upset and will panicked.

"If she has eternal life then she can't be killed. How do we stop something like that?"

The President along with the rest of the council turned to the possessed teen.

("Salem can't be stopped. I know better than anyone. I once asked Jinn the celestial being the resides in the Lamp of Knowledge a long time ago if there was a way to stop her. She said, you can't.")

Many gasps filled the room along with shocked expressions. As expected of their reaction.

"Is this for real?" spoke Sleet.

("I wish I was lying but it is the truth council man. It's a truth that I have been living in all past lives.")

"Then what do we do?!" said a panicked Wallace.

"Are we just to do nothing while this threat comes to attack us?" said Camilla.

"This fight is meaningless. If this evil can't be defeated it's over, we have nowhere to hide. We're done for."

"This is madness!"

"Order, order!" Copper was using his gavel.

"Might as well give up!"

"We can't win!"

"Everyone please! Try to remain calm!" argued Ironwood.

The entire room was now filled with so much loud talking of them panicking and losing any hope. Ozpin knew this would happen and without another word, he left giving Oscar control of his body again. The farm hand was shocked seeing the council losing it after the revelation. He really picks the wrong time to bring him back.

"I said ORDER!" The council President has hit the gavel as loud as he could.

It worked, as the whole room was dead silent once more. But the fear in their eyes was still present. Oscar turned to the General as he realized the boy has returned. It only made him angrier at Ozpin for leaving at the worse time. Sure give the details and then leave so they sort out the mess he made giving those details.

"I'm sorry" spoke the farm boy lowering his head.

"Not the exact news you guys wanted to hear. A lot of people weren't happy with the news either. I feel the worse because I know it's true, his memories are becoming one with mine. I wish I could tell you everything will be all right but I will be lying. I can only say not to give up. Yeah, sounds ridiculous after everything you just found out but we can't let it end like this! We have to fight, four our sake, for the sake of the four kingdoms. This is a threat that it doesn't just endanger Atlas and Mantle but everything. Remnant is in danger. Salem wants to divide humanity while she's trying to take the relics. Even if the odds are against us that doesn't we should just give up."

"We must fight, because there will be no point in living if we lose so easily. If she wants a war, we will give her one! Sticking together, where you're rich or poor, human, faunus it doesn't matter status or species. We're all the same, people, humans. I don't want to see this world getting harm or worse, destroyed. Sure, I'm scared too, more than you know and even sharing my body and soul with a guy that has lived for too long. This is a choice that needs time to think it through. Either we fight or we don't and let Salem have her way without any effort. I'm not giving up and neither is the General or any of my friends that came here to fight her."

"The safety of everyone is in your hands. I just know you will make the right choice, if you look deep in your hearts. And, that's all I have to say…Thank you."

"…."

The silence that fell on the council room was very different from previous ones. At least now, their expressions didn't had that hint of fear and panic. Its as it was erased. Ironwood smiled at Oscar, he has said exactly what she should have said. Copper was the first to recovered. It was truly a speech that would lift anyone's spirits.

"We will take a ten minute break before resuming with the meeting. Um..Make it twenty. When we return we will discuss the matter regarding the current situation in Mantle. As per your request James."

The General gave a nod. Good thing they were finally moving on from the topic.

"You did a great job back there."

Both the farm hand and Ironwood stood near a couple of bending machines in a corner of the same floor. There was a coffee machine too where both had a cup of it to calm their nerves. After what happened back at the council room, they sure needed it. The teen took a sip of the hot beverage, that really hit the spot. The President did the right increasing the time for the break. They just found out everything that has been kept a secret from the rest of Remnant. Anyone would want a break to let all the crazy information sink in.

"I didn't thought I will ever had it in me. I was so nervous the entire time, I could barely think at all. All I could think was to find a way to make them believe."

"Your speech was enough to inspired them. I was more inspired never, have I ever been more determined to fight for this kingdom. It's all thanks to you Oscar."

"It was Ozpin who was able to convinced the council otherwise, it would have all be for nothing."

"I won't deny Oz's involvement helped. But I will not deny your words and your courage to get the message out. He gave you the motivation you needed to face them."

"You're still angry at him aren't you?"

"I might for a while. But the anger won't blind me. You made the right choice in accompanying me to the meeting. I'd say you might have learned a thing or two from Velvet. Everyone that have been traveling with her and everyone she meets, they're influenced by her way and ideals. There's no hesitation, they're ready to fall in line with her."

"She uses common sense, must be why everyone follows her. Her brother Laphicet is like that too. Only difference, he's more quiet about it. You get to know them well when you've been traveling with them for a while" the farm hand took another sip of his coffee.

"It's no wonder why Oz chose her to be a teacher at Beacon. I might have my issues with him at the moment but he's a wise man. Either way, I'm glad things turned out for the better. Perhaps I might be at ease now."

"Do you think, they truly believed everything we said?"

"Honestly, I don't. It was too much information that can easily be seen as fake. Yes they got the message loud and clear but it will take time before they can actually acknowledge it as truth. What you and Oz did was enough to opened their eyes. That's one part of the meeting that resulted in a success."

"Right. There's still the part of Mantle. I hope everything turns out okay."

"I admit the council isn't perfect. There's distrust between high and middle class as well as the usual prejudice with the faunus. But at the end of the day, they will come true. They know the situation at Mantle is dire and it needs fixing so it can return to it's original state."

Oscar stood in thought as Ironwood has taken a sip of his coffee. Well, that was some troubles out of the way. They will be solved and hopefully, Mantle will prosper before any move by Salem is made. Or he could be jinxing it and she has already made her move. Will everyone be ready, will he be ready.

"Something else troubling you?" the General noticed the teen's expression.

"I'm glad everything worked out so far. I'm worried at my training. Ozping helped me, gave me some tips with my aura but I feel like I have a long way to go."

"You do. Oscar you recently started your training to become a Huntsman. You have no experience in any of the requirement fields. It will take time that will need lots of patience. You really do have a long way to go."

"Yeah. Because if that wasn't the case you would have given me my Huntsman license" he chuckled.

"That will be too careless on my part. I have no doubt you will get strong and become a reliable Huntsman. If Oz isn't enough for your training perhaps, I can be of some assistance. If it's all right with you, I won't mind aiding you in your training."

"Really, you would do that?" that sure took him by surprise.

"Just don't expect me to go easy on you. The training won't be no easy task. Do you accept?"

"I do" he smiled feeling this is what he needs.

"Will make time for it" Ironwood gave a smile.

"Thank you, General sir."

To be continued

-This chapter was more focused on Ironwood and Oscar than the rest during the half part. I wanted to give them both some depth and confirmed their training. I like when Ironwood started sparring with him in canon. That was enough to give me the idea that he should give him some pointers to get better at fighting. I can say Oscar will get stronger in time.

-I loved writing when Jacquess tried to bribed Ironwood because he's the kind of person that will go that low. He did let Watts helped him win the election after all. Now his bad deed is going to come back to bite him in the ass.

-Yes there was an Ace Ops vs RWBY fight in this story. Under different circumstances and a lot sooner than you think. I thought it from the start that they should fight in Amity after getting the Huntsmen license. Though they lost because I wasn't going to nerf the Ace Ops, RWBY got close for their level. Harriet as usual didn't took it well finding out the true purpose of the match. After this they will think it over and would want to teach them a few things. A better motivation to train RWBY from the one in canon.

-I decided for Weiss to spend more time with her family for the very reason to what happened in ch5 of the new volume. Also I've been wanting her to attempt to be there for them since returning to Atlas. I think it's the right thing to do that she tries to be there for them and maybe try to fix it. You can bet there will be some changes to the Schnee family in this volume.

-The President of the council Gerald Copper's appearance is based on the Monopoly guy lol. I only thought of him being older, bald with a monocle can't forget the top hat and yes he does have one.

-Sorry for the long delay chapter and sadly the next chapter will also be delayed until next week I think. That's all I can say.

-Replying to reviews:

*Shadow Joestar- thank you as always.

*TheEmeraldMage- glad that you like the outfits and the story's direction. True I was upset with that part of Yang randomly thinking of Blake and of course the shippers were defending it because they belong together bla bla. But it shows that CRWBY is just throwing bones at the shippers so they continue to watch the show. Meaning that many of those so called" fans" are into watching RWBY because of Bumblebee. I thought it was ridiculous at first but twitter proved me wrong. Thanks again for the constant support.

*Sweetdesire2002- still thinking about it. The thing is if I do go for it. It's going to bring questions what gifts they got during past birthdays. Too many details and also it hasn't been confirmed when is Velvet and Laphi's BD. Thanks for the suggestion but it's hard to say if I will do it.

*TPoynt- true and thanks. But Watts will eventually no longer hack the surveillance cameras and drones and Tyrian will be exposed. That's why he's wearing the military guard outfit. They see the murderer is part of the Atlas military they will hate Ironwood more causing his reputation to plunge further down. Tensions will rise and riots are inevitable. There's also faunus discrimination that will play a part in this version of the volume. In addition that killing both supporters and those that are against Ironwood will stirred more hatred.

*calderoneric758- if you have seen the latest episode then you know you were wrong. Thanks again for the review as always.

*Saint Saber Fang- RWBY/Cuberpunk crossover with Jaune in it hmm...Dude don't give me ideas but I think it's too late. Stay tune to what the future holds lol. Specially when I'm hooked on the game too haha.

-SPOILERS discussion from v8 chapters:

*Ch5 titled" Amity"- this episode was better than previous and I actually like it. Penny was definitely the star of the episode and also the star of this volume. Using the explosion from the dust of the mine the group cleared the Grimm back in v7 was careless IMO. The Colosseum could have gotten caught getting destroyed. Cinder arriving to spoil the party and getting owned AGAIN no surprise there. Neo getting owned by Maria okay that was cool but why did they have to show she can fight now in her age? It was still cool and then Neo getting blasted by Maiden Penny epic. Emerald did good too with her semblance. Oscar being Hazel's punching bag was painful to see and I still find his reason for joining Salem weak compare to others. Its pretty obvious he can be redeemed asides the rest. I don't like the broadcast Ruby's idea is just dumb and it can put all of Remnant in danger. I did like seeing old faces like Taiyang, Goodwitch since we last saw her back in v3, Neptune and Sun, Ilia etc. Finally Penny getting hacked that she fell off but we all know she's alive. The more I see it the more I'm sure this volume is the Infinity War of RWBY. Finally Watts takes something from behind the scenes as. What didn't like has to be how they have destroyed Weiss's character showing she could care less about her brother and mother. Whitley being alone in his room looking depressed while she was with Blake and Ruby. Way to go CRWBY in killing best girl's character. Winter and the Ace Ops go where Penny landed. All in all a good episode I enjoyed it 8/10.

*Ch6 titled" Midnight"- we had a glimpse at what could be Cinder's backstory in the first episode and this one finally shows it. So it turns out Cinder is based on" Cinderella" (there goes the fan theories that she's based on the Greek hero Hector I never believed it because it's supposed to be characters from fairy tales not from actual history lol). It's basically a dark version of the fairy tale with a few questionable details. First why was Cinder being picked on at the orphanage where she was at? I know kids can be cruel and mean but this doesn't make sense. CRWBY trying to make the fans sympathize with her is the only reason. I would understand if she was a faunus but nope. She got adopted by the wicked stepmother that owns a hotel in Atlas along with the step sisters. Got a collar like she was a pet and the collar is electric in which every time she does something wrong she will get zapped. Along the way she met a Huntsman that caught her attention when she was using her semblance at one of the annoying bitches. Trained her for a couple of years and then she kills the stepmother and step sister and kills the Huntsman Rhodes is his name BTW and that's it. I'm surprised she was able to killed her own teacher with just a few years of training. The guy must have been really weak or nerfed as fuck. CRWBY has a history with nerfing characters in the story. Also Cinder kills everyone and NOT a single drop of blood. She stabbed Rhodes and no blood comes out what's going on CRWBY? Are they trything to make this show for kids because they're that desperate for money.

*Cont- I'm sorry I didn't like it I find her backstory lackluster. I was hoping for more and also I no longer care for Cinder at all. You know after learning of her backstory I'm actually glad I killed her off in this story because she's not interesting. Why did she became evil in the first place, why does she want to be powerful? Sorry but being abused like a dog isn't enough reason for those two things mentioned. It would have been a different story if she went mad like Tyrian becoming complete psychotic. IMO they should have brought her backstory in v4 when she was hurt from the Fall of Beacon, she was vulnerable and looked more human it was the perfect time to bring the backstory but no. But then again I'm pretty sure they thought of her backstory while writing v8 so it debunks the argument that "everything was planned" from the start of the show.

*Cont- the rest of the episode Mercury owned Cinder telling her" I don't take orders from you anymore bitch because I'm one of Salem's top dogs now". Something similar like that. Then I rubbed my forehead from the incoming headache. Salem punished her with the Grimm arm cool whatever. But then she tells her to go after the Winter Maiden? I thought I heard wrong. So after you told her no at first, that she disobeyed you and got owned again, now you tell her that she can go after Penny. What the fuck is this? This has to be the most retarded writing I have ever seen in the volume so far, what is CRWBY thinking? Better yet what are they smoking? Anyway I was hoping to see Salem used her whale to ram the shields of Atlas down but she used the Grimm goo along with some Centinels to take it down? The whale lands in the middle of Atlas and she said" it's time" in a very villain way. I will go with my theory that Cinder is going to die before the end of the volume and Emerald will end up becoming the new Fall Maiden. There are hints of that scenario. Going to give it a 4/10 because of Cinder's lame backstory and Salem letting her do what she wanted in the first place which is to take Penny's powers. The previous episode was way better. Next episode will be the last one before RT goes on the two month break.

-As always thank you very much for all the favs, follows and reviews I really appreciate it.
