Wendy brings Maj another cup of coffee as the two of them wrap up as many things as they can before what has been termed to be a two week lockdown. The partners decided to simply shut down operations for the two weeks and see how it goes. The courthouses are closed along with every other agency they need so it is really not a choice. "So Rex, huh." Wendy offhandedly mentions as she flips through the latest Huntzberger file. "So it bothers you too." Maj sits back in her chair with her fingers pyramided in front of her lips. "Did you do the title search on Rex?" Maj asks not quite remembering if that thought had only manifested in her head or if she had actually asked Wendy to do the search. Wendy smiles, Maj did not actually ask but she has been with Majestic Fairchild long enough to anticipate where her head goes before it goes there.
"Colin McCrae but I have a feeling you already knew that." Wendy has to smile from the black book file. "Isn't he the one that Finn was with when he and the Bush twins got kicked out of Argentina." Maj rolls her eyes at that blast from the past. It is not often you are called into service for your country. "I still remember those secret service guys." Wendy offers with a hubba hubba wink. With the thought of that trip swirling around Maj's head, Finn pops through the door bearing coffee and a cheeky smile. "Hello Ladies, I come baring refreshments." Finn smiles at Wendy has he hands off a cup. Maj's is delivered with a kiss to the cheek before Finn pops into the empty chair in front of Maj's desk. Wendy offers a salacious smile in Maj's direction regarding the obviously new dynamic between her and Finn. Maj decides to mask any visible tell by sipping form the offered coffee.
"Finn, when Colin bought Rex, did you go to the opening party?" Maj asks as a curious look crosses her feature which intrigues Finn as he recalls his conversation with Logan from the morning. Finn assumes a thoughtful pose in the chair. "You know, love, I believe I was with you in Prague." Finn locks eyes with Maj with a wicked wink with a quick thought of that long weekend in Prague flits on the fringes of his mind. "But Logan went." Maj offers to pull Finn back to the moment. "Yes, he went. Actually, it is where he met Odette."
Maj and Wendy exchange a look. "Find out who Colin bought that club from." Finn weighs into the conversation. "Let me guess where that pretty little head of yours is going..." Maj offers a side eye. "Damian Moreau." Maj taps her nose at Finn's revelation. "Any reason Damian would be interested in Logan?" Maj adds as Finn stands to pace a bit which has always been his habit when he is thinking some thing through. "Perhaps he was interested in someone else... like say the Dark Lord." Finn knows he is right as some thoughts align in his head. Finn's words click into Wendy's head as she heads to her desk for a few minutes. She had a theory about Mitchum Huntzberger and she just might be right.
Another contemplative look passes over Finn's features as Maj's spidey senses start to tingle. "Do you think Mitchum offered Logan up as a pawn?" Finn smirks. "Or a ritual sacrifice?" Maj smiles at Finn's candor on his witty retort that may just be closer to the truth that Maj is comfortable with. "Did your father know Epstein?" A curious look crosses Finn's face. Finn knows full well that Maj knew the answer before she asked the question. "Well, Love, everyone knows everyone in my father's circles but the islands were not exactly his thing, if you know what I mean." Maj leans back in her chair watching Finn work out her real question in his head. "But" Finn turns toward Maj as it unfolds in his brain. "But Mitchum..." Maj smiles. "Went with frequency and vigor. Any chance Odette is a relative?" With that revelation, Wendy materializes back into the room. As Finn and Maj turn towards her. "What, the intercom was on." Wendy returns to her chair, eager to hear more.
Logan smiles at Rory as he forms his next thoughts carefully, this is a delicate situation. "Rory, I did plan this so I would have some time to figure this out and I did come to you." Logan moves closer to Rory on the couch. "Because this matters, this situation is important. I care for Odette. I care for her a great deal but I love you, Rory. I have never hid that fact or ever denied it." Rory wants to resist Logan's charms but this is hard. "I need to know. I deserve to know what you want to do, other than for me not to get married." Logan gets up and paces in front of Rory. "I won't be strung along again, Rory. Not when my child is involved." Logan's tone changes with the addition of an unexpectedly sharp edge.
"Logan." Rory's words stop Logan from his next cross of the room. She momentarily panics, she had not formed a complete thought quite yet and Logan has a less that pleased expression. "What the hell were we doing?" Logan offers now on a roll. "Seriously Rory, why the affair? Why didn't we just get back together?" At this point, Rory realizes that Logan is unloading what has been on his mind for what is obviously a long time. "We created this situation and I am not talking about the baby." Rory again, calls Logan's name motioning for him to sit. "Logan, I know." Logan again turns towards Rory. "Why can't you just love me?" Logan walks out of the room to gather his thoughts before he says any thing more or a least anything he would regret.
