I really am sorry guys. Anyway as always read and review please! They motivate me and make me smile so much

Naruto chose to walk back to the village, it would give her the chance to think about all that had happened and process everything before she had to explain. And she knew she would have to explain, Tsunade would want to know that Itachi had been in Konoha, and there was no way in hell that she'd keep her run in with him from Sasuke.

She sighed to herself, making her way down off of the monument and to the streets of Konoha.

The question was, who should she go and speak to first? Technically she should tell Baa-chan first, since she was the Hokage and all, but... Sasuke.

Naruto shook her head. Either way they were probably all at the hospital so that was where she should be headed.

It didn't take her long to reach the hospital, though she got several concerned looks when people noticed the blood on her clothes.

In any case when she reached the hospital she headed straight up to the floor she'd been on before she'd Hirashined away to avoid Tsunade's spirited attempt to murder her.

It was Karin who she ran into first, the red haired girl giving a wide smile as she made her way towards her. "Hey Naruto-chan. I sensed you arriving here. Sasuke is talking to Tsunade-sama right now. She was grumbling something about you."

"I wound her up and Hirashined away."

"Makes sense. If you wanna see them they'd probably let you in. They kicked Sakura-chan and Kakashi-sensei out. Sasuke-kun asked for Rin-san to stay."

"Okay." Naruto nodded, "Which room."

"I'll take you there."

"Thanks." Naruto hesitated, tilting her head, "Did you sense anything out of the ordinary." Karin hadn't said a word about Itachi showing up. That was curious to say the least.

"Uh... no? I was focusing on the area right around the hospital should I not have been?"

"No, no it's fine-"

"I just... I wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything close-that asshole nearly took Sasuke-san right?"

"Right." Naruto gave a wry smile, "You don't hate him really do you-"

"No, no I totally hate him." Karin flushed, "Shut up Naruto-chan."

"Hah, your denial really doesn't help." Naruto grinned widely and shook her head fondly, gently bumping shoulders with the other girl.

"So. I assume I missed something based on your question. Is everything okay?" Karin's brows furrowed in concern.

"It... I should talk to Baa-chan and Sasuke-kun first." Naruto decided, "Not that I don't trust you but..." she gave a small shrug, "But it's more personal."

"Hm." Karin stared at Naruto for a long moment before shrugging herself, "If you say so Naruto-chan." they reached a hospital room that had an Anbu guard stood by the door and Karin pointed. "They're in there."

"Thank's Karin-chan." Naruto waved as the red haired girl spun around and bounced of, then she turned, focusing on the lizard masked Anbu.

"Hello Anbu-san."

"Nohara-sama." the man bowed his head politely, "I assume you wish to speak to Hokage-sama."

"And Sasuke-kun if I can."

"I'll ask if you're allowed in." The man opened the door and peered around it. "Hokage-sama. Nohara-sama is outside she wishes to speak to you."

"Let the brat in then."

The Anbu nodded and opened the door fully, letting the blonde into the room, where Sasuke was sat up in the hospital bed, pale but okay, and Naruto let herself relax slightly at the sight.

Rin was sat in the chair next to the bed and Tsunade was stood, all three of them were looking in Naruto's direction-but Naruto took a moment to let herself just be relief, rushing across the room and scrambling onto the bed, hugging Sasuke tightly.

"You're okay Sasuke-kun!"

"Of course I am dumbass." Sasuke's lips twitched into a smile, "You and Sakura followed my message."

"Of course we did. You were just gone and that's not like you."

"I didn't want to risk Kabuto hurting anyone if I tried to raise the alarm."

"You did the right thing." that was Tsunade, "You probably saved a lot of people from being hurt, Kabuto is a skilled shinobi."

"He made me leave your kunai Naruto-chan. I'm sorry-"

"Not your fault, it was just another sign that something was super wrong." Naruto leaned back so that she was no longer hugging him, but she was still perched on the bed next to him. "You feel okay?"

"Kind of achy, Tsunade-sama says that's because of the sedative he used."

"Of course." Naruto let out a breath, shifting and letting her head rest on her brothers shoulder. "I was worried about you asshole."

"Why? I knew without a doubt that you and Sakura-chan would come after me." and the certainty in Sasuke's voice.

"Yeah, and if it wasn't us-" Naruto took a deep breath, it might be a bit blunt but she needed to tell him after all, "Then it would be Itachi-san."

"Wha-" Sasuke's eyes widened and Tsunade straightened up.

"Naruto-chan." her voice was tight, "Are you saying-"

"Am I saying that Itachi-san was in the village? Yeah." Naruto nodded.

"What happened?" Rin frowned softly, "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, he heard that Orochimaru was gonna send someone after Sasuke-kun so he came to make sure he didn't get him."

"He... Itachi-nii came for me?" Sasuke's voice was uncharacteristically small, his eyes wide. "He... is he still here?" he started to try and get up but Naruto grabbed his arm, shaking her head.

"I'm sorry Sasuke-kun. He's gone-"

"Why?"

"I... I was on the monument, he showed up and asked me if you were okay and I told him you were. We talked for a bit.. I told him you wanted him to come home but he said he wasn't coming home until he knew you were safe-"

"I'll be safe with him here!" Sasuke's voice was sharp, "I want him home why would-"

"He wants to try and deal with Orochimaru and Obito."

"Does he know the truth about Obito?" that was Rin.

"I told him... and there's more." Naruto shifted uncomfortably, "It wasn't just Danzo who made Itachi feel he had no choice... he thought Obito was Madara, thought that he was in the village to destroy it or something so he-"

"He offered the man he believed was Madara the chance for revenge on the clan who rejected him in exchange for leaving Konoha alone." Tsunade's voice was tight, to protect the village. Uchiha Obito helped kill the Uchiha clan." that made Sasuke tense and Naruto shifted slightly so that she was closer to him, reassuring him as she nodded.

"Yeah. And he brought up a point that might be useful against Obito."

"What?" Tsunade frowned, "Anything would help at this point. I don't know how we can take on a man who can make himself intangible and just disappear."

"Kakashi-sensei."

"What?" Rin frowned. "What do you mean?"

"The Kamui Obito has is from his Sharingan, his Mangekyou. Everyone with a Mangekyou has unique powers from their Mangekyou according to Itachi. Normally that would mean that no one would be able to counter the Kamui. But-"

"But Obito isn't the only one with that Magekyou." Tsunade breathed out, a stunned look on her face, "Kakashi has Obito's eye-"

"They'll share the Kamui ability." Rin realized. "Oh Kami that..."

"He needs to start training to use his Mangekyou immediately."

"I'll tell him." Rin nodded, "Of course I'll let him know right away Tsunade-sama."

"I want to train too." Sasuke said quickly, "I need to get strong enough to help-"

"As much as I wish you didn't have to worry about it you're right Sasuke-kun." Tsunade nodded, "You'll have special training sessions with Kakashi, both of you will be exempt from missions if it's necessary."

"Thank you Tsunade-sama." Sasuke gave the Hokage a grateful look. "I'll master my Mangekyou I know I will."

"Of course you will Sasuke-kun." Rin's voice was reassuring.

"You'll finally be able to fight me." Naruto elbowed him in the side, "When I get back from my training trip."

"Training trip?"

"Yeah, Ero Sennins taking me somewhere so I can sort out Kurama with a fresh seal and train."

"Huh," Sasuke looked slightly disappointed before he smirked, "We'll see who's stronger at the end of our training I guess."

"Damn straight." Naruto grinned widely at Sasuke. "I bet I'll still kick your ass."

"In your dreams."

"Children children! You're both strong." Rin was laughing brightly, a fond smile on her lips "No need to get competitive yet."

"Especially not since my student is going to be strong enough to punch you both through walls." Tsunade added.

"Tsunade-sama!" Rin was laughing, her eyes wide, "Don't encourage them!"

That made the two kids burst out laughing.

"Baa-chan!"

"What?" Tsunade was grinning, "Nothing wrong with someone having pride in their student."

"Yeah mom." Naruto grinned, "Nothing wrong in Baa-chan having pride in Sakura-chan."

"You-I don't know why I bother." Rin shook her head, smiling, "Honestly. I really don't."

"You wouldn't be nearly so happy if we weren't like this."

"Maybe not." Rin admitted, "Tsunade-sama, do you need to know anything else."

"I don't believe so." Tsunade shook her head, "I know about the events with Kabuto and now we have some valuable information from Itachi, and we know he will return home someday."

"I don't want to have to wait for him to... I'd be safest if he was with me surely. He could teach me-"

"I think a part of him probably sees taking out any threats towards you as redemption of a kind." Rin's voice was gentle, "As hard as it may be for you put up with Itachi-san is clearly trying to do what's best for you."

"Why don't I get any say in what's best for me?" Sasuke's voice was bitter, "It's not fair. I spent years without my brother because of Danzo's actions and now he's staying away from me because he thinks that's the only way to redeem himself? Our clan was wrong and he did the best he could he doesn't need to redeem himself."

"But he feels like he needs to." Rin's voice was gentle, "It might seem ridiculous to you and I, but Itachi has a lot of guilt to work though. You should let him do what he feels he needs to. He's going to come how to you Sasuke-kun you know that."

"He loves you." Naruto added quickly, "He really does Sasuke-kun. I know it's very hard to have to wait but-"

"Ugh. If you're telling me to be patient then I guess I really should listen because you're really not patient. You hate the three minutes it takes to cook instant ramen-"

"I just think that if the pack says instant it should be instant!"

"Naruto-chan there's more to life than instant ramen-"

"Baa-chan how could you say that?" Naruto gasped out, her eyes wide, "I mean really! Instant ramen is the most important thing ever!"

"Tsunade-sama I wouldn't bother." Rin shook her head fondly, "I mean, really, she's always been like this."

"Just as long as she doesn't make a national ramen day-"

"That's a great idea!" Naruto grinned playfully, it was fun to tease Tsunade, who was twitching slightly.

"I begin to wonder if Sensei was right in his decision to promise you the hat-"

"I'll be the best Hokage ever!"

"And I'll be the best-" Sasuke paused, "Hn. Anbu or Jounin Captain ever. I haven't decided which yet-"

"You have your future planned out then Sasuke-kun." Rin laughed.

"Of course I do. I'll also be one of Naruto-chan's advisors and the head of the Uchiha clan." he paused, "Well, Itachi will probably be the head of the clan actually. If he wants to be."

"He might not want to be." Naruto pointed out.

"Either way, I'll be helping you."

"And Sakura-chan will be one of my advisors and the head medic."

"I look forward to being able to retire from both of those responsibilities." Tsunade admitted, "Although actually-" her gaze swung to Rin, "I wanted to discus that with you Rin-chan. I can't handle both as Hokage. Shizune-chan is very skilled but I need her to help me with my responsibilities. I need someone I can trust to take over. I'll still deal with severe cases but-"

"You want me to become the new head medic?" Rin's eyes widened, "Really?"

"Of course, I can think of no one more capable and trustworthy for the position."

"It would be an honor. I was thinking I'd need to pick up more responsibilities at the hospital with Naruto-chan away and Sasuke-kun and Karin-chan training more often. The house is far too empty."

"You need to get back to work properly Rin-chan. Not just shifts here and there."

"I know." Rin laughed, "It'll just be strange, for the past twelve years my whole life has revolved around Naruto-chan."

"You'll get used to it."

"I will, and I'll enjoy it I'm sure." Rin chuckled, "A bit of freedom at last-"

"Well that's just mean mom!" and the laughter filled the air of the hospital room, and just for a little bit they allowed themselves to forget their concerns.
