"Mellie, you left a newborn baby with a six year old."

"Karen will be seven next week."

"Are you trying to be funny?"

"I'll come get the baby next week."

"No, you're coming to get your baby today."

"What are you going to do if I don't show up."

"Mellie, do you think this is a game? How old is that baby?"

"Six days old."

"Where is Jake?"

"I don't know."

"Come back here today, or Karen will be taking care of your baby."

Mellie laughed, "You are not serious."

"You left the baby in Karen's care. She is responsible for your baby until you come get her and take her home."

"Your jokes are not funny Fitz."

"I'm not joking."

Fitz pressed the button for a video call and asked Mellie to accept.

"Karen, come downstairs!"

"Can I have my baby now?"

"You sure can. Say hello to Mellie."

Karen looked over the railing and walked fast down the steps. Olivia was still sitting on the floor with the baby on her shoulder. Fitz followed Karen downstairs.

"Livvie, give Karen the baby." Fitz said, holding the phone towards the baby so Mellie could see her newborn.

"What?"

"The baby is Karen's responsibility. Let's go upstairs and take care of our babies."

"Are you out of your mind Fitz?" Olivia asked.

Mellie looked at Olivia and Fitz arguing. She was calling his bluff. He wouldn't leave Karen with the baby or would he to get her to turn around and come back to DC?

"Give me the baby!" Karen said, trying to snatch the baby from Olivia.

The baby cried and Olivia tapped her back. "It's okay. Your safe with me."

"Fitz, this is a real baby. I'm not giving her to Karen."

Fitz leaned down and took the baby from Olivia. He told Karen to sit on the floor. He carefully put the baby on her shoulder. Karen squeezed the baby to hold her in place and the newborn whined.

"Fitz!" Olivia yelled at him.

"Okay Fitz, give the baby to Olivia."

"No, we have our own babies. That is Karen's baby."

Mellie didn't want to let him win the argument. She hung up the phone.

"I'm going to take my baby upstairs, and she can play with my reborn doll."

"Give me the baby Karen." Fitz said, sitting on the floor.

"You said she's my baby." Karen whined.

"I'll give grandma some money and ask her to take you to build a bear today if you're good."

"Okay!"

Fitz reached over in time to get the baby. Karen was getting ready to stand up and run upstairs to her playroom. The baby cried.

"I'm sorry. I know you're scared. I have to teach Mellie a lesson."

"You cannot leave the baby with Karen."

"Livvie, Mellie is coming back to get the baby."

"I hope so. She can't leave us with her newborn."
