Ya'll, the English dub for Yashahime episode 1 came out this weekend! I'm still not really sure how I feel about the series as a whole, but that first episode makes me so happy.

Anyway, thank you again for reading and all of your reviews. I know this story is super long but hopefully, it feels like you're experiencing their lives with them.

December 16

I meant to continue writing last night, but Inuyasha wanted me to come to bed, and naturally I got very distracted.

There was so much more that happened on our journey home that I want to write down. I'll start with the next day after that wonderful night in the cave.

That day was a lot more of fighting demons on the way home. I was still really surprised by how many there were but it was also still very thrilling to be fighting them with my husband.

We fought one more demon that evening and afterward Inuyasha grabbed my arm.

"Ouch!" I exclaimed as my wrist stung.

He lifted my sleeve and saw the cut on it. "Damn, I knew you'd gotten hurt by that last one."

"It's just a scratch."

"Keh, whatever. Come here so I can put something on that."

"You're hurt too," I said as I followed him to sit on a big rock.

"It'll be healed before the end of the night," he said as he dug through our bag for first aid supplies.

"Wish I healed that fast," I said with a sigh.

"Luckily you've got me to take care of you," he said before kissing me. Then he started to bandage my wrist. I cleaned the blood off his arm as well even though he protested about it.

We found another cave to sleep in tonight as well.

"We've fought so many demons today, I feel like I smell like demon blood," I said.

"Well…" His voice trailed off and I looked at him incredulously.

"Wait, I do?!"

"It's to be expected."

"Oh my god!" I was mortified.

He didn't try to hide the smirk on his face and instead kissed me. "You stay here. I'm going to go find some firewood."

I waited patiently for him to come back still mortified that I smelled like dead demons. With that strong nose of his, there was no way he wasn't bothered by it…

"Hey, baby," he said coming into the cave with the firewood. "There's a hot spring around here."

I immediately got excited and jumped up from where I was sitting. "Really?! Let's go!"

I was ready to run out of the cave but he put his arm around me to stop me. "Don't you want to eat first?"

I realized I was kind of hungry. The hot bath would have to wait. "Alright, dinner first." I then put my arms around his neck and placed a kiss on his lips that was simmering with desire. "But then you're mine," I said as I ran my fingers down his chest. That would surely give him something to think about until we were in the hot spring.

After a very rushed dinner, Inuyasha led me to the hot spring that was around the corner from the cave. It was very cold outside but once we got to the hot spring area, the steam wafting from it made the atmosphere a lot warmer. Yet, I still found myself shivering a little as I started to take my clothes off.

"It's so cold out here," I said.

Inuyasha hadn't wasted any time getting in. "You'll warm up once you're in here. Hurry up."

As I stripped off the rest of my clothes, I noticed him watching me intently so I was intentionally a bit seductive with it giving him a striptease. When I was finally in the water, Yasha pulled me close against him and started to lay kisses along my neck.

"This feels so good," I said softly, talking about both the hot water and his soft kisses.

"I'm going to make you feel even better," he said in a voice dripping with lust.

The moment was so perfect: the hot water steaming around us, his warm skin and the goosebumps he raised everywhere he touched, his delicious lips on mine, his fingers in me pulling moans as they started their exploration, and his heavy breathing at the feeling of my hand massaging his growing erection. The heat nearly became unbearable as he sank into me and we gave it to each other as hard as we could.

The next day of our traveling involved significantly less demon-fighting much to our relief. We were finally able to let our guard down a little bit and just relax and talk as we made our way home.

The evening started to come and I noticed a village up ahead.

"Look Inuyasha! Maybe we can see if they have anywhere for us to stay the night," I suggested.

"Fine by me."

We went up to the village but our greeting was less than warm. A couple of old villagers stopped us when we entered.

"Get away from here!" one man exclaimed.

"We're just passing through on our way home," Inuyasha explained. "We were wondering if you have anywhere for us to stay the night."

"You're not welcome here!"

"Why not?" I said, confused at the hostility.

"Demons aren't welcome in our village," he said pointing to Inuyasha. "And any priestess who associates with a half-demon has to be evil so you're not welcome either."

I was absolutely shocked that they would be so mean. "What?! I don't believe this. We would never cause any harm. We just need a place to stay."

Inuyasha, however, took my arm and started to lead me away. "Come on, baby."

"But, Yasha.."

"We don't need to associate with people like that anyway. We'll find somewhere else to stay for the night." There was anger in his voice, but his mind was made up. I didn't blame him. As much as I wanted to lay down and rest, I didn't want to spend another second there either.

"Wait!" another voice called to us.

We turned to find a younger man in about his 30s coming after us.

"Please don't leave so hastily," he said. "Not all of our people are like this. I am the headman of this village and I'd like to make a request of you."

Inuyasha crossed his arms. "What kind of request?"

"There have been some demons terrorizing this village for weeks. Surely the powers of a priestess and a half-demon can get rid of them. If you help us, I am prepared to offer you our finest lodging and payment for your time."

"Well…" It did seem like a nice offer.

I looked at Inuyasha who still had a scowl on his face. "Kagome, you can't really be considering this."

"It could be a good idea, honey. After all, it is getting late."

After a moment he sighed. "Fine. But I'm only doing it for the payment."

We went off to where the headman said the demons were last seen at the edge of the village. Inuyasha had his sword drawn and I had my bow and arrow drawn. We didn't see the demons but we could sense that they were nearby. Soon we could even hear their voices taunting us but we couldn't see them.

"Damn it, show yourself you stupid demons!" Inuyasha exclaimed out of frustration.

I realized something. Anana had taught me about how some very rare demons have the ability to appear invisible and there was a spell to reveal them. I could sense the demons just above us and I shot my arrow in that direction. "Reveal yourself!" I said.

The blue and red demons were finally revealed and they looked at me shocked at what I had done.

"Good job, sweetheart," Inuyasha said.

"Thanks, baby!"

"Aww, aren't you two cute?" the red demon taunted. "Too bad it's time for you to die!"

All of a sudden they released this black smoke over us. I couldn't see even a foot in front of me. "Inuyasha, where are you?!"

"I'm over here!"

His voice was close but I still couldn't see him. I couldn't see the demons either. All of a sudden I felt a cold hand around my neck and I screamed.

"Kagome, what's wrong?!" Inuyasha exclaimed.

The red demon had its hand on me and spoke into my ear. "You can't defeat us, priestess, and how you're going to die for even trying."

"Get...off...me…" I put my hand on the cold red hand that was around my neck and concentrated on sending my purification energy through it. Sure enough, the demon was burned and immediately let go of me. It was horrified and dissolved into a beam of light which also cleared the smoke.

"There you are!" Inuyasha said, sounding relieved. Now that he could see, the blue demon was still left. It charged at Inuyasha, but he shot his wind scar at it and destroyed it.

He sheathed his sword and I went over and hugged him. "Nice work, Yasha."

He placed a kiss on my lips. "Let's go back to the village. I'm starving."

We went back to tell the headman that the demons were destroyed. He was extremely grateful and let us stay at their inn. The room we were given was very nice and the food was equally as good. Also, the pay we were given was generous. Despite how nice the room was, Inuyasha and I didn't get much time to enjoy it. I guess we were more tired from our trip than we realized. After dinner and hot baths, we immediately fell asleep.

We left early the next day and started another day of traveling. We stayed at another village that night although this one didn't come with the stipulation that we kill demons for them.

By this time, I was really starting to miss our home. It had been weeks since we'd been there and I missed our cozy fireplace and our warm bed.

Luckily we didn't have much farther to go. We got home this afternoon and just spent the rest of the evening here relaxing. I know our friends are probably worried sick; the last they'd heard from us I had passed out and was probably about to die and Inuyasha had run off with me to get help. But we'll go see them tomorrow.

For now, Inuyasha is in bed and I'm about to go join him now that all of the excitement of the past few weeks is over.
