Maj packs her suitcase with excitement at the thought of actually having two weeks of uninterrupted time with Finn. A wave of contentment comes of her, how amusing that it takes a lockdown to earn her a bit of freedom from her life. For now, the woes of Mitchum Huntzberger will be in purgatory for at least two weeks buying Maj and her faithful sidekick a bit of time to play catchup on the research of the new theories that have emerged in the last few days. Maj is thrilled that Wendy is all in on the research with the enthusiasm of the Nancy Drew Mysteries, after all the Huntzbergers are Wendy's favorite topics. Maj plans to catch up on some work but the biggest advantage of being a named partner is that she has the benefit of the associates, lots of associates. On the advice of her trusted sidekick and Wong, Maj decided to enjoy the fruits of her labor, she has already paid her dues in spades.

As she winds down the packing effort with the click of the lock on her suitcase, Maj can hear Rory pacing talking to her mother on the phone. Needless to say, for Maj to hear this conversation in her room, it is not the quietest of conversations. Maj moves her suitcase down to the kitchen, deciding to make some coffee. She is lost in the debate in her head whether to leave now or in the morning. Smelling the coffee, Rory wanders down to the kitchen. As Rory enters the kitchen, Maj can see the tearstained puffy face of someone who has had a hell of a day. A quick chat with Finn had revealed that Logan was currently with Finn. The cold bravado that serves Majestic well in the courtroom fades upon the recognition of someone who is at a low point. Rory appears to have fallen from her pedestal and is in pieces.

Maj finds herself unable to simply just walk away from this situation. Rory is very pregnant and with so many nieces and nephews, Maj knows that her conscience will not allow her to leave Rory in this state. In a gesture of kindness, Maj offers Rory a seat while she pours coffee and gathers a snack to serve with it. Rory is a bit astonished by Maj's gesture as she takes a seat at the breakfast nook. After placing a cup and plate in front of Rory, Maj takes the seat across from her.

"So spill, what is going on with you and Logan, Rory? I know how extensive that affair was and I honestly believe that you believe this child to be his, so why did you push him away?" Maj can see Rory teeing up a lie to tell her so she may have no choice but to literally cross-examine Rory. "Maj, you could not possibly know the details of my as you term it affair with Logan." Maj offers a coy smile. "Rory, all that took was one 5 minute call to the Huntzberger's accountants." The realization hits Rory, Logan always used family assets, that was never hidden. Anyone with any kind of access could align her flights and passport to where Logan was in the world. Perhaps they were quite as clandestine as they had believed and Maj has an overwhelming level of access into that particular world. Rory takes an indirect route into this conversation, to get answers, Maj is going to have to give them.

"Do you love Finn?" Rory sips her coffee as she banks on the fact that Maj knows she is friends with Finn. Maj realizes what Rory is doing but she is in a good mood and has no issue discussing Finn. "Rory, I have known Finn for a long time, our relationship has been evolving for a while. I guess you could describe it as love." Rory continues to make this about Maj as she again asks. "Have you been in love before?" The words had slipped out of her mouth before the recollection that Maj had lost a Fiance. "Rory, you know the answer to that question but yes, I have been in love before. I loved and lost Mark, I have had other relationships but ironically, Finn was always there. Now, we can make this conversation all about me or we can talk about you." Maj gets up to refill her cup offering a refill to Rory.

Rory realizes that Maj may be in a unique situation to help her, relenting her questions to ones that align to help. "Maj, I screwed up, I pushed him away." Maj is pleased that the conversation is no longer circling on her. "Rory, what do you want for yourself. If this baby is Logan's, it will be provided for, lavishly provided for but the baby is not you and you do not necessarily need to be tied to Logan." Rory realizes that Maj is speaking the truth. She and the baby are not part and parcel but separate entities. She had never really thought about it that way before. "Is Logan really in love with Odette? I mean you met Odette, what did you see?"

Maj realizes this is a slippery slope. What Maj saw that night was not a grand love affair like Josh and Honor. The way that Odette and Logan interacted was not at a level of intimacy that should be on display with the excitement of a wedding looming. She and Finn looked more of a couple and they were just dinner mates at the time. Maj considers her response since it will have weight, she was there. "Rory, off the record, I think Logan and Odette are a fine society match but answer me this, why did you turn down Logan's proposals?"

Maj's answer offers a glimmer of hope but Rory considers how to answer that question. "I wanted more, I wanted to make ago of my own career. Marrying Logan would have meant putting myself second and I was not ready to do that." Rory's answer rings of truthfulness. Over a decade as a defense attorney had taught Maj how to recognize the truth when she hears it. "You know Rory, you broke his heart when you said no. Logan's coping mechanism is to..." Rory interrupts Maj. "to go on a bender." Maj nods to acknowledge. "But Rory, that was a bender that wore out my passport to fix." Maj offers a little glimpse into the lost years for Rory.

A contemplative expression crosses over Rory's features. "Do you know where Logan is?" This is quite the loaded question coming back at Maj. To reveal or not to reveal becomes the question.
