Hey guys! I hope you enjoy this chapter, thank you all so much for the reviews as usual, and to the person who asked about it, she will still get to meet her mom, I might be wrong but I believe that Naruto unlocked the seal in Cannon before Kushina arrived and she only showed up when he was about to loose so I don't think that removing the seal will remove her Chakra but I am honestly not completely certain on that one. But as I said don't worry she will meet Kushina I have that all planned out.
Anyways as always read and review!
Naruto was famished when she turned her head to Jiraiya, and the old man chuckled, "Shall I sort out some food for us?"
"Please."
"Ooh, one word responses, you must be starved."
"And tired." the blonde yawned as she made her way towards him, grabbing her clothes and pulling them on before dropping down on the ground next to him. "It's not easy focusing like that for so long Ero Sennin."
"Don't I know it." Jiraiya was grabbing his bag and rummaging through it. "I have enough instant ramen to last a few months with some of the extra supplies to spice it up."
"Don't the toads have food Ero Sennin?"
"They do." Jiraiya pulled a face, "But unless you plan on throwing up at all I'd avoid eating it Naruto-chan."
"Right." Naruto pulled a face, "I'll keep that in mind." she watched as he got to work, pulling out two pots of instant ramen and a jug of water and a pan.
"Mind using a fire jutsu to boil the water."
"I can do that."
Less than ten minutes later the ramen was done, steaming hot and Naruto was smiling happily as she let it cool, Jiraiya sat across from her smiling, "Will you test yourself today? Use his chakra."
"Maybe, just for a bit before I get some sleep after I've had some food, if he feels up to it."
"It'd be interesting to see." Jiraiya admitted, eyes flicking to the mark on her arm, "That's new."
"Yeah, a physical representation of our bond. He has the Uzumaki spiral on his right front leg."
"Huh." Jiraiya shook his head, "You're tied together now I suppose."
"Stronger than ever before." she could feel Kurama inside of her, so content that it was incredibly comforting as she pressed her hand over the seal.
"And no longer caged."
"I'm glad." Jiraiya's voice was soft, "I'm glad it worked. I'm glad you managed to do what your mother and Mito-sama never could."
"They never tried." Naruto rolled her eyes, "Not really tried. Sure he's an asshole but... he didn't even want to attack the first time, Uchiha Madara was controlling him. And then he got locked up inside of Mito and he was pinned down by spikes most of the time! And my mom, neither of them should have done that it was unfairly cruel."
"Naruto-chan-"
"No! No don't even think of defending it. I can respect them for their actions but they hurt him. They hurt my best friend and they didn't even try to talk to him or learn more about him. If they did maybe they'd have understood him better."
"We can't change the past Naruto-chan."
"I know. But that doesn't make the past okay."
"Of course." Jiraiya reached out, laying a hand on Naruto's arm. "Now eat your ramen. You can see about practicing using Kurama's Chakra after."
"It'll be fun." Naruto decided as she started on her ramen-it had cooled enough to eat.
It didn't take long of course, Naruto was a ramen fiend, but at least after the meal she felt better, and she could feel Jiraiya eyeing her.
"You wanna see me go full nine tails mode huh?"
"Of course I do." Jiraiya laughed, "No one else has ever managed it before I want to see it."
"Well let's see." Naruto put the pot on the ground and stood up, taking a deep breath.
"Kurama."
"You want to see what we can do?"
"Yeah, yeah I do."
"Then let's have some fun."
Naruto closed her eyes, mentally reaching out, and Kurama pushed his Chakra towards her as she did.
The power flowed into her filling her, warm and fierce. She'd never been filled with so much energy before in all of her life.
Her eyes opened and she saw Jiraiya staring at her, an almost awed look on his face, and Naruto looked down at herself, blinking at the sight of her body coated in a yellowy orange chakra that flickered like flames all over her body.
She wished there was a mirror so that she knew how she looked, but that probably didn't matter that much really.
She could see black lines going down her legs and arms. "Ero Sennin."
"We need to test it." Jiraiya breathed, "Kami Naruto-chan I can feel the power rolling off you."
"How do we test it?"
"We spar."
"I-okay." Naruto nodded, a smile on her lips.
Then Jiraiya was lunging towards her and Naruto dodged. It was almost funny how easy she found it, how much faster she was.
She span as he surged past her, kicking him in the back.
Her eyes widened in shock when the man crashed into the wall hard enough to make it crack, and she released the chakra, swaying from the sudden drain-that would be a problem. She'd need to be able to maintain it despite surprises, and the extreme drain was going to be a real issue.
Still she forced the concerns to the back of her mind, reaching Jiraiya quickly, "Ero Sennin." her voice shook slightly, "Are you okay?"
"Ugh." Jiraiya lifted his head, "You hit harder than Tsunade and you're fast as hell brat."
"Ero Sennin!"
"I'm fine." The old man groaned, "Aching but fine. And that boost Kurama's chakra gives you is gonna put you way above most shinobi."
"I know." Naruto let herself slump forward, "Has it's drawbacks though."
"We'll work on it Naruto-chan." Kurama's voice was soft, "You're still a child and you're not used to that much power, give it time, train like you would anything else and we'll reach a stage where your body can handle it better."
"You've gone pale." Jiraiya's voice was suddenly concerned, and he reached out in time to stop Naruto from hitting the floor as she toppled. "Woah.. woah okay, okay so there's some definite draw backs."
"Need to train with it so I don't lose focus and lose my grasp of his chakra... and so I don't get so exhausted afterwards."
"Of course." Jiraiya shifted his grip on her, "But you've done enough for today brat. Let yourself rest. You can sleep here, it's safe and I'll look after you."
"Of course." Naruto closed her eyes, letting out a slow breath, and then she was asleep almost instantly, her breathing evening out.
When she next woke she was warm, wrapped in thick green blankets on a bed and her whole body ached as if she'd went ten rounds with Kurama.
Naruto let out a breath, groaning to herself as she forced herself to sit up, yawning as she swung her legs over the edge of the bed and stood, looking around the room. There was a small wooden bedside table and her bag was at the bottom of the bed.
There was a door across the room and Naruto stood up, padding across to it, noticing the fact that her shoes had been taken off.
She shrugged off that thought, carefully making her way to the door and opening it, stepping out into a hall and padding her way into a bigger room, and Jiraiya was sat at a table with two toads wearing black cloaks, one had bushy white eyebrows, a beard and a shock of white hair and the other had purple markings over her.
They weren't as big as some of the toads Naruto had seen, but she knew instinctively not to underestimate them.
All three heads turned to look at Naruto, who flushed slightly under the gazes. "Uh. Hi?"
"How do you feel Naruto-chan?" Jiraiya's voice was soft.
"Uh, I feel okay I think, I ache a lot but I did use a lot of Chakra."
"Of course she aches Jiraiya-chan." that was the white haired toad, "The girl accomplished an amazing feat."
"Uh.. no offence but... who are you guys?" Naruto's voice was hesitant.
"My name is Fukasaku. This is my wife Shima." the toad smiled reassuringly, "We've been looking forward to meeting you young Naruto-chan."
"You have?"
"Of course." that was Shima, who moved towards her, "Just look at you. Minato-chan's daughter all grown up. We knew you'd be a summoner for us Toads some day. I only wish it had been your father who gave you the scroll to sign when the time came."
"He'd be proud of you. And even prouder still if he knew what you'll be training in."
"Training in?" Naruto blinked, "I mean, I know I'll be training with Kurama's Chakra, that's the main thing isn't it?"
"Not quite." Jiraiya grinned, "You will be training to control his chakra, but after I asked for permission to bring you here so you could do so Fukasaku-sama suggested something else."
"Has Jiraiya-chan told you about the prophecy?"
"Prophecy?" Naruto frowned, "What prophecy? Ero Sennin what is it?"
"When I was younger, when I first came here." Jiraiya spoke slowly, softly, "I was brought to see the Great Toad Sage. He can foresee the future, and he told me that a student of mine would bring a great revolution to the Shinobi world. And that my actions would determine if it would be for salvation or destruction."
"I.." Naruto blinked slowly, "That... but I'm..."
"At first I thought it was an orphan I met in Ame. I trained him and two others. I cared for them but I had to return home and they belonged in Ame... and being with one of the Sannin would have made them targets." Jiraiya explained slowly, "I heard years later that they all died-"
"Ero Sennin-"
"Then I thought it was your father." Jiraiya continued, "He was brilliant and I could imagine it so clearly. I thought for sure that it was him. I told him as much though he always disagreed. But then he died Naruto-chan, and I knew there would only ever be one more child I would train."
"Me." Naruto's voice was soft as she stared at the old man, his expression was one of heart wrenching grief.
"I almost lost hope kid, when you disappeared. Because o way was I going to train anyone else. You were the only one I'd even consider training, Minato's daughter. And then you came back home and you were more than I ever imagined you'd be." there was a fondness in his expression now. You're brave, and strong, so strong Naruto-chan. It's almost terrifying how strong you are. It would be terrifying if it wasn't for how good hearted you are, you change people kid." he stood up and moved towards Naruto, ruffling her hair, "I truly believe that you're the child that I was told of. You're everything I could ever wish for in a student."
"I... it's... that's a lot of pressure." Naruto whispered.
"Kid... once you've learned to maintain your chakra cloak you'll be Kage level. You're incredible kid. And we want you to be even stronger."
"Stronger than a Perfect Jinchuriki? How?"
"Well." Jiraiya grinned, "You know that I'm a Sage."
"Yeah."
"Do you understand what that means?"
"That you can use Senjutsu right?"
"That's right kid. I learned how to use Senjutsu. What do you know about Senjutsu?"
"It's to do with using Nature chakra right?"
"It's different than using your normal Chakra because you have to gather it from the world around you." Fukasaku explained, "But those who learn to use it can achieve a state called Sage mode, in which the users skills and strength is boosted, along with their sensory ability."
Naruto glanced between Jiraiya and the two toads, blinking slowly, "You want to teach me Sage mode?" her voice was hopeful and eager."
"Well even once you've gotten more used to using Kurama's Chakra cloak I figured it would be best for you to leave it as a last resort brat, and Sage mode seems like the sort of thing you'd be pretty good at."
"Alright!" Naruto grinned brilliantly. "By the time this training trip is over I am gonna be so badass!"
Jiraiya laughed loudly, shaking his head fondly as the two toads chuckled, "That's right kid. You're going to be the best of us all."
