Walking through the common room into the kitchen of the dorms, Kacchan paused before doubling back after something had caught his eye.
His cousin was sat on the couch next to Hitoshi who was fast asleep. It was however what he was watching on the TV that was of interest to him.
"Deku?..."
"Yeah?"
"What are you watching?"
"Sesame Street."
Kacchan groaned.
"I know it's Sesame Street, moron! I mean why the hell are you watching it?!"
"IT'S HERO WEEK, YAY!" Elmo celebrated on the screen.
"We've had a lot of amazing heroes visit us on the street over the years haven't we, Big Bird?"
"We sure have! And one hero in particular has visited us more than once too."
"Oh yeah, he's your friend, right?!" Elmo exclaimed before he turned to the camera before doing All Might's famous pose. "All Might!"
Big Bird chuckled before the image changed to footage of a very young All Might.
"So what's your name?"
"My name is All Might; it's very nice to be here."
"Thank you, it's very nice to meet you. Now, All Might, would you like to tell all of our friends watching where you live?"
"Of course, I'm from Japan."
The video cut to various Sesame Street characters telling the kids about Japan.
"We haven't even been to half these places." Kacchan commented as he came to take a seat on the other side of Toshi.
"They're all in Tokyo."
"There are other places but there, they know that right?"
"It's an American TV show made like thirty-years ago; do you really think they cared?" Zuku replied.
He smirked.
"True."
"So, Mr. Might." Elmo walked over.
All Might smirked at the name.
"Can I be a hero too?"
Kacchan burst out laughing before nudging his cousin in the ribs.
"Ahah, you and Elmo have more in common than you think."
Zuku scowled before shoving him back which only made him laugh more.
"Of course you can, Elmo."
"Oh oh, I know! It's because even if you don't have a quirk like Elmo, even things like helping people and being nice to others makes you a hero too."
"Exactly." All Might smiled.
"Does America have heroes in the same way we do, you know, with like merch and the hero ranks and stuff?" Kacchan asked.
"I'm not sure, maybe? I think All Might's just more well-known than any of theirs, he wouldn't have been on here twice if he wasn't."
Modern day Elmo and Big Bird appeared back on the screen.
Zuku turned to him.
"For someone who was judging me when you walked in you sure seem interested now." He teased.
"Shut up, nerd!"
His cousin smirked.
"And the last time he came he showed us his super-duper hero costume and taught you about Japan some more!"
"That's right, Elmo, he did."
The footage changed again to a clip of a slightly older All Might.
"So when would that have been?"
"Well it's his Bronze Age costume, you know, the red and black one?" Zuku supplied.
"Oh yeah."
"So 2040, 2041?"
"Woah, Shouza was like one then."
Zuku nodded.
"Big Bird, it's nice to see you again, friend."
"Wow, his English is really good." Kacchan praised.
"I hate English, it's confusing."
"Same."
"Uncle Zashi would cry if he heard that."
Kacchan smirked.
"He already knows we do, and Shouta's English is somehow even worse than ours."
Zuku chuckled.
"True."
"So you have lots of friends who are also heroes in Japan, how about you introduce us to some of them?"
"God, who was even on the go back then?"
"Uhhh… Crimson Riot, Endeavour, Gran Torino, Yoroi Musha, His Purple Highness, Tenya's parents, Godzillo…"
"Godzillo." He smirked. "How very Japanese, I bet they mention him."
"And what about this guy, he looks like a big dinosaur?"
The two cousins burst out laughing.
"Told ya!"
A light groan came from Hitoshi before he stirred, flickering an eye open.
"Shit, sorry, Tosh."
"Our bad." Zuku apologised.
Their cousin shook his head, rubbing a hand over his eyes before he looked around, clearly getting his bearings before shuffling to sit upright between them, leaning back against the couch.
"Sorry."
"No, you're good."
"Yeah, you're only missing Sesame Street." Kacchan smirked.
"What's Sesame Street?" Toshi asked around a yawn.
"This." He motioned to the screen. "Puppets that teach you shit."
"Is that All Might?"
"Yeah."
Kacchan watched the confused expression grow on his cousin's face.
"Okay, am I just really tired, why don't I understand anything he's saying?"
He and Zuku chuckled.
"It's an American programme, he's speaking English, just use the subtitles."
"Ahh, I didn't even see them."
"Well you did just wake up." Kacchan offered.
A doorbell rang.
"I'll get it!"
Big Bird walked to the door and opened it to reveal a very familiar looking All Might.
Zuku and Kacchan's eyes widened.
Hitoshi seemed unfazed by it.
"Oh yeah, he mentioned he'd been to film something."
"What?!"
"Yeah, he told me about it when we were walking to the funeral together, apparently it was supposed to go out the same week they recorded it but then everything with the Shie Hassaikai happened and they decided to push it back."
"All Might, my friend!"
"It's very nice to see you again, old friend."
All Might was dressed in his usual white t-shirt, cargo pants, and signature belt buckle.
Big Bird's hand came to his hair.
"Wow, we've both gotten so fluffy!"
All Might chuckled.
"We have, haven't we?"
"A lot has happened since the last time we met."
"It certainly has, Big Bird."
Hitoshi smiled.
"When he was talking to me about it, he looked so happy. He was worried that no one would want anything to do with him after what happened back at Kamino; he didn't have a quirk, and he knew he wouldn't be the number one for much longer so he just expected to be chucked away and forgotten. Apparently he got a call from them asking if he'd be interested in appearing again. He tried to play it cool but you could tell how much it meant to him." He paused. "To be honest, I think he's lonely, especially after losing Sir."
Zuku sighed.
"Even without a quirk, he'll always be the number one, no one will let him fade away like that, he means too much to so many people. I mean, look at us, Kacchan and I grew up idolising him, he was a massive part of our childhood and we both became heroes to be like him."
Kacchan nodded.
"Just because Endeavour is gonna' take the number one slot doesn't mean he's gonna' have anyone's respect, All Might earnt that; he's Japan's greatest hero for a reason."
"Hey, can we do your super cool catchphrase together, All Might?"
All Might chuckled.
"Of course!"
Big Bird turned to the camera.
"All of our friends should do it too, ready?"
"You too can become a hero!" The three cousins stood up triumphantly from the couch as they joined in before bursting into laughter.
