Thank you all again for reading this far into the story. I have to say, these next few months of chapters are some of my favorites because a lot happens. I hope you enjoy and please remember to review, I love to hear what all of you think.

January 10

It was a chilly morning but we didn't bother to turn the fire on. The heat between us was enough to warm us up.

I woke up to the feeling of my husband's lips on my shoulder. "What are you doing?" I said with a happy sigh.

"Letting you know how much I love you," he whispered. His arm snaked around my waist and his hand trailed up my stomach until he was cupping my breast.

I moaned as he kissed my neck. "I already know, Yasha."

I felt his lips morphe into a smile against my skin. "Good."

I turned to face him and crushed my lips to his. It was such a cozy way to start the morning being under the covers with him like this, our bodies aching for each other as every desperate kiss and touch brought us closer to becoming one.

Once our clothes were off, Inuyasha was on top of me. He went from sucking each of my breasts to laying kisses up my chest, my throat, and finally my lips again. Things were so hot between us there was practically steam rising.

Our eyes locked after such a delicious kiss. My legs were open and ready for him. With my hands on his hips I pulled him towards me. The look on his face showed that he wanted to devour me and it set my heart aflame. I threw my head back and moaned his name as he sank into me.

"Yasha…"

The new year has started off well. For one thing the big new year celebration in the village was such a blast. Back home, we would always count down to the new year and people would toast and share a kiss with their lover at the new year. I'd always wanted someone to kiss at midnight and during the three years I was gone, I always imagined kissing Inuyasha. This year, my wish was finally a reality.

The celebrations didn't stop there though. Miroku's birthday was a couple of days ago. We celebrated with a small party at his and Sango's house and joked that he's becoming an old man.

Other than that I've been doing my usual miko activities, providing herbs for the village, and doing rituals at the shrine. For months I've been saying a prayer for my family each time I'm there. I miss them so much. It's hard to believe I've been living here for over six months without them. Sometimes I think about how they must feel about me being gone and it makes me sad but then I remember what my mom told me last time I was there. Whenever I see the stars at night, I feel so comforted.

It's been really cold outside lately. I'm pretty sure it's going to snow soon. I'm super excited about the first snow of the season. I definitely plan on making the most out of it and building the biggest snowman I can.

This morning when I was out on the back porch I noticed the cutest little kitten in our yard. It was small and black with white paws and a white belly. I'd never seen it around here before. I supposed it was just going on a little adventure and would return to its family soon.

Either way I wanted to make sure it had enough to eat for whatever journey it was on. So I put together a plate of leftover chicken for it.

The cat looked at me curiously when I came outside and put the plate on the ground for it.

"Come on, little guy," I said gently. "Aren't you hungry?"

Cautiously, it came over and once it got its first taste of the food it started to dig in. I giggled and patted its head. "Enjoy and get home safely."
