4 Months Later

As the sound of footsteps echoed through the abandoned warehouse, the man pushed the rusty door open to meet his prodigy Shigaraki who was sitting at a table alone, his posture slumped and lazy.

His head was casted down in an unreadable expression, staring forward in silent thought at something unsaid and unpredictable. Such hatred, such disgust in his eyes, it was beautiful, and All for One couldn't help but smile at the sight.

Slouching on the other side of the wall were the other members of the league waiting in slight thought as All for One lifted out his arms, proudly gazing at the group. "My wonderful colleagues. It seems the time has come."

At his voice, Shigaraki raised his head, curiosity in his eyes. "What is it Master? Have you finished the final product?"

At that, the man slowly reached into his pocket before pulling out a small vial of liquid, the red crimson swirling around ominously as he chuckled. "Almost my dear child almost. But we must proceed regardless. The girl is still the key to everything. I'm afraid we need more of her DNA in order to create more pets for you."

Narrowing his eyes, Toga's voice echoed into the conversation, a swirling knife appearing in the air. "Ooooh you want more blood? Yes, let's go! I'll cut her up really good!"

Although that's when Dabi pipped in, kicking his feet off the wall in annoyance. "If you needed that idiot to begin with then why did you let her go in the first place? Sounds pretty half assed plan to me."

Shigaraki's eyes turned into a glare only for All for One to chuckle in amusement and quell the mood. "You misunderstand, what you see as kindness is actually a lesson for her. All of that hoping and dreaming, it will soon be a punishment itself."

Lifting the vial of blood a little higher into the air, the man smirked. "I'm sure the little one has realized it in some capacity as well, the fact that she has never been free and never will be.."

The man then moved over to Shigaraki's desk before placing the vial on the surface as the blue haired child spoke. "But Master, she's been avoiding your messages. That little doll has been so disrespectful to you, why do you still desire her?"

Scowling at the idea of the unruly Bakugo Amari, All for One shook his head. "A little rebellion is to be expected for someone of her age. Not to worry though, it will all be over in time. She'll realize who she belongs to soon enough."

Dabi couldn't help but stare at the man, taking in his words silently before crossing his arms over his chest. Just the idea of anyone controlling Amari was comical in itself. "Yeah, and how do you plan on doing that? News flash, that girl is a certified idiot. She won't go easily."

Although that's when All for One chuckled once more, his hands lifting up to purple skinned man in thought. "That's where you're wrong. You see, anyone can break given the right pressure, and I just so happen to know exactly what to use..."

Raising his hand widely Twice then decided to jump into the conversation, fully confident in his answer. "Oh oh oh, I know! It's her brother right? That's who we gotta use! I knew it!"

Yet he was silenced when the villains just put a hand up to silence him. "You are incorrect once more. Bakugo's brother is a trigger for her sure, but that is not the ultimate goal here.."

Glancing at Shigaraki, the man then pulled a single picture out of his pocket before placing it on the table lightly as the other villains circled around the two people in the picture, two very familiar people.

Wait, this was..

Dabi stared at the image as well, soaking up just what All for One meant before scoffing immediately and pushing the image away. "That's it, that's your plan? I thought you'd have something better than this."

Almost immediately, Shigaraki raised out of his seat, hatred in his voice as he readied his quirk. "How dare you disrespect Master like that…"

Yet All for One slowly stepped in front of the two, quelling any chance of an argument. There was something about Dabi's response, something different then usual. "What are your concerns Dabi? You seem unhappy about my choice."

Shoving his hands in his pockets, the man thought for a moment before letting out a frustrated sigh. He didn't know why he had spoken out like that, but it was too late to stop it now, a terrible knot appearing in his chest suddenly. "It's a shitty plan, that's all.."

He expected the man to get angry at the disrespect, at the utter and blatant disgust in his tone but yet that was not the response Dabi received.

Instead, the large man only smiled. "My dear boy, what you don't understand is that the simplest of plans can break even the strongest. You'll see. In fact, I know my little one more than anything. After this, she'll come to us willingly.."

Lifting up the photo of Amari, All of One then covered the other strangers face with his thumb before finishing cruelly. "Besides, why waste the opportunity to kill two birds with one stone?"

After months of planning and training, the day had finally arrived. It was one that many had dreamed about as a child, finally getting the chance to prove themselves as a true hero. Even just a mention of provisional exams seemed to have everyone on edge all year.

Hundreds of hopeful students from various hero schools gathered in the lobby, all mumbling and muttering about the obstacles ahead. They had gotten word that this exam was going to be far different then the others they faced but that's about it.

The Hero Public Safety Commission seemed very secretive about the whole thing for some reason which was odd. Usually they were very transparent with that kind of thing but not this year. Perhaps they were trying a new method?

Many students were silently praying in the corner or talking to their friends in order to take some of the pressure off when the doors opened to their left, causing everything to freeze.

Everyone collectively turned as a loud voice made their way into the crowd, the man's tone immediately noticeable. In fact some of the students gasped in awe as Hawks waved towards the groups of kids. "Heyo everyone! Just wanna wish you all a great exam!"

Just then he ushered behind him as two blonde haired kids appeared from behind his wings, serious expressions on their face. "Alright, let's go you two! I gotta give ya some of my famous words of wisdom before you head out and show everyone what you've got!"

The two remained silent as they mulled through the crowds, the other students gawking as they went as they knew immediately who they were, U.A's. infamous problem children, the Bakugo's.

The grand entrance couldn't help but make some of the students stop and stare, now looking at their fellow competition for the day.

Katsuki's lips were turned down into a scow as he eyed his opponents, his very presence shocking some of his competition into utter silence. He would be a hard one to beat, they could already tell. There was something about him, just his very being was intensely scary.

Although that's when they eyed his twin, Bakugo Amari walking beside him. She also wore a serious expression, eyes casted down as she proudly walked through the crowds.

Although while Bakugo was looking straight at the other kids, his sister only stared at the floor for some reason. How odd.

After all of the rumors about the girl through the last year, it was hard to know what to make of her. Some believed in her power but others still casted suspicion given her short stature and supposed quirk defect. Amari was a wildcard in their eyes.

Although right now, looking at her besides Hawks, this girl looked so powerful and strong, like nothing could stand in her way, despite her obvious height disadvantage. Perhaps they shouldn't underestimate her either.

Moving towards the floor, Hawks then chuckled under his breath at the reaction of one of the girls, hearing her whispers through his feathers. "Those are the Bakugo twins? Damn."

The hero couldn't help but smile and that before releasing one of his feathers from his wings and slamming it onto Amari's back, causing the girl to immediately trip and tumble to the ground in an ungraceful fashion.

Groaning at the hit, the girl rubbed her back before glaring back at the hero, fully knowing what he had done. That asshole, he did that on purpose.

Just then the whispers changed, giving the three exactly what they wanted, criticism and gossip that would surely spread across the competition in no time.

Did you see that, what a total klutz. I was worried for nothing

She'll be easy to beat. In fact when the exam starts it would be good to go after her first

I don't know what Endeavor and Hawks see in her.

Amari grumbled to herself as the rumors poured in, ones she'd heard over on repeat whenever she passed by a certain group of people. This plan was stupid, Hawks was stupid for making her do this..

Feeling a hand on her arm, the hero pulled her back to her feet as Amari secretly jammed her elbow in his chest in the process, causing the man to groan. "Ow...Whoa, you okay there kid? Nerves getting the best of you? Come on let's go get you off your feet."

Nodding back half heartedly, the two then lead her away as Amari closed her eyes at the gossip swirling around.

This was going to be one long day.

Soon they found themselves in a small waiting room as Hawks closed the door behind them, giving an immediate thumbs up "Great job you two! Now that's the reaction we wanted. All according to plan!"

Katsuki only responded by crossing his arms against his chest though, huffing back. "I don't get it. Why do we have to care about what those damn extras think? I already know I'm gonna be the best."

Shaking his head, the hero responded. "I already told ya kid, it's important for the public. You two wanna have your own agency then you need to make an impact today. Besides, you know why we had to make up that little stunt, right?"

That's when Hawks thought about Amari and her serious nature through the crowds. If he didn't trip her then the people might've actually taken her seriously. How unusual for her. The bird didn't plan for that so he had to take matters into his own hands.

For his plan to work, the other kids had to look down on her.

Although trying to make it up to her girl, Hawks chuckled, trying to give her a compliment. "I mean, look at chickadee, she was radiating confidence to those kids already. I bet she's not even nervous at all..

Although just as he said that, the hero watched the very same girl slam her head into the wall behind her, groaning and muttering to herself. "I think I'm gonna throw up.."

Feeling his own face fall as all of his positive encouragement shattered into pieces, Hawks gasped before racing other to her and enthusiastically patting her back in the process, not helping her nausea at all. "Whaaa? Come on chickadee, you were great out there!"

Amari felt herself slouch to her knees in anxiety before turning and glaring at the bird that had made her an utter embarrassment. "Yeah, until you tripped me and I had to look at everyone! You know I don't do crowds Hawks…"

The hero couldn't help but give her sympathetic eyes as he replied. "I know, but I had to improvise. You were looking mighty scary chickadee. The whole plan was to make you look weak so that they'll think you're an easy target remember?

Ah yes, the Hawks plan. It was one that the man was very proud of. Basically, his idea was to use all of the swirling rumors and gossip about her to their advantage, feeding into the lies so that they will think she is weaker than she actually is.

It wasn't the worst plan in the world but Amari still hated being in the center of the rumors, and having purposely start them was even worse. But if that's what it took to win then the girl would use everything she had.

Also the only reason she actually looked scary to those kids in the first place was because she had bored her eyes into the floor in an attempt to try not to freak out with the large crowd. Ah yes, very scary indeed.

Scoffing loudly, Katsuki recalled the harsh whispers before replying. "Those extras are so stupid if they think you're an easy target. I can't wait to see the look on their faces when we kick their asses."

This would usually cause his sister to calm down but unfortunately that was not the case right now, Amari only closing her eyes as she leaned against the doorframe with unsaid depression.

She wasn't stupid, this was such a big test, something that would determine the rest of her life and her respect from the fellow hero community.

Amari really didn't want to let anyone down, not Endeavor for taking her under his wing, not Hawks for training both her and her brother, not Katsuki for trusting her to succeed, and not Shoto for his blinded faith. Everything was so incredibly nerve racking even without having to follow through with Hawks' plan.

Also something in her own mind told her that this was the only chance she was going to get, that somehow she wouldn't make it to the next exam. It was now or never and she didn't want to take any chances.

Shaking her head, the girl managed to stumble out her next words in a small mumble "Hawks, what if I fail, what if I disappoint all of you?"

At that, the hero widening his eyes before lifting his hand from her back slowly. Even he knew she was really putting pressure on herself. "Chickadee, you know you could never disappoint me. Just go out there and do the best you can do, alright?"

His voice was gentle, causing Amari to lower her head even further into her knees. She just wanted this to be over quickly so she didn't have to stress anymore, for her or her brother.

Just then, the door she was leaning on opened, causing the girl to almost lose her balance completely and staring up at the new presence. "What do you think you're doing Bakugo?"

Forcing her eyes open, Amari blinked only to find her mentor Endeavor glaring down at her with his arms crossed. He was probably wondering what the hell she was doing sitting by the door frame on her knees. oops.

In an unsuccessful attempt at a lame joke, the girl then began to pat the floor as she tried to calm her own erratic heartbeat from the nerves. "Oh nothing, just uhhh checking the floor for any cracks, don't wanna break your mothers back, am I right? Ha ha ha…"

At her very awful joke, the man frowned before replying. "You've been around Hawks for too long. His idioticy is starting rub off on you. Now get off the floor, this is not the time for your foolish nature."

Frowning to herself, Amari sighed before hearing another voice quickly run up to her in worry. He must have been standing behind the man. "Amari, why are you on the floor? Are you okay, are you feeling sick?"

His voice immediately brought a sense of calm over the girl, one she didn't know she needed until now as she gave a half hearted smile. "Yeah Shoto, I'm okay. Sorry, I didn't mean to worry you. I guess I'm just uhh you know..."

Hawks registered her change in emotion really quickly, smirking at the sight. She was always like a completely different person around that boy, more nervous and cute. It was very interesting to watch to say the least.

Reaching out his hand, the boy hoisted Amari up before dusting off her shoulders carefully and respectfully. "That's understandable, I'm also feeling a little strange. It's a big day for us."

The girl nodded back before Endeavor quickly cut into their conversation, pride in his rough voice. "If you're nervous there's no need Shoto, it's a proven fact that all Todoroki's will always crush their competition."

Shaking his head in exasperation, the boy sighed before noticing the slight shake to Amari's arms. She seemed really anxious about this whole thing, and it's not like he could blame her. After so much struggle now she could finally prove herself as a real hero.

That's when the boy came up with an idea, taking Amari's hand lightly before turning to Hawks and his father. "Would you mind if I take Amari for a moment? I have something I have to tell her.."

Looking between each other, Hawks couldn't help but smirk before giving them a thumbs up in response, his eyebrows wiggling in interest. "Of course, of course, you two take all the time you need you little love birds!"

At that, Amari's face immediately grew red, earning the bird a slap on the shoulder as he enjoyed her torment. "H-Hawks, cut it out..!"

The hero put his hands up at that as Endeavor cut in a moment after. "Don't take too long, the exam is set to start in twenty minutes. If you are just one minute late then you will…"

Although the female Bakugo only waved her hand away, already knowing what he was going to say. "Yeah yeah I know, I'll disgrace the Todoroki line. To be honest I'm surprised I haven't already done that in your eyes old man."

She laughed at her own joke as Endeavor's eyes softened. He didn't think that girl would ever know how much she impressed him, and he wasn't ever going to tell her either.

Knowing she wasn't going to her response, Todoroki began to drag Amari away as the girl gave one last look towards her brother before the exam.

Following Todoroki through the halls of the arena, the two passed by a couple kids as they stared silently. Amari and him tended to stand out after all, so they much of recognized them from a certain magazine or article in the past.

Yet the boy didn't seem to notice, pulling her towards a small backdoor overlooking the parking lot. Unlike the bustling halls, there was no one in sight which made the girl breathe a little easier.

The sky was a clear assortment of blue as the boy took in a breath in order to seemingly calm himself down as well. "I felt like you needed to get away from the pressure for a moment."

Smiling at his kind gesture, Amari replied. "Thank you. It seems you always know what I need Shoto. I was really freaking out back there."

She then watched his own lips curve up into a small smile. "I noticed."

Rolling her eyes at his signature phrase for her, the girl laughed. "Aww what gave it away? I thought I was doing pretty good."

Although that boy only answered plain. "You were sitting on the floor."

Feeling slightly embarrassed for that display, Amari scoffed. "Whaa? Come on, I always sit on the floor. What are you talking about? It's good for back support."

She laughed to herself before sighing in exasperation. "Alright you got me. I am kinda nervous. This is a big deal, you know? I just need to calm down I guess."

Just then she felt his hands reach around her waist from behind her, pulling the girl's back against his chest as she stumbled backwards.

The move was so unexpected, causing Amari to blush. "Whaaa are you doing?"

Twisting his brow in concern, Todoroki loosened his hold in fear of her discomfort. "I am trying to calm you down. Was that incorrect? I'm sorry."

Although just as she felt his grip begin to leave her body, Amari quickly grabbed his hands before replacing them around her middle. "No no no, it's okay. I was just surprised that's all. It feels nice."

And it really did, Amari now feeling Todoroki's warmth flowing into her as she rested against his back quietly. She could feel his breath now.

Then she realized that what she said was kind of weird, immediately backtracking. "Uhhh I mean, it's really nice, you're really nice, you feel really nice, I mean.. It's nice to feel you.. I mean no that still sounds weird never mind...…"

Covering her face with her hands, Bakugo groaned in response as Todoroki pushed a piece of hair from her eyes. "Amari, we've almost been together for a year. I believe I've gotten used to your habits by now."

And although that was true, the girl couldn't help but groan. "Still, you think I would have gotten better by now. I'm sorry you have to deal with me all the time Shoto. It must be exhausting."

This caused Todoroki to frown though, pushing another hair from her face. "I wouldn't call it "dealing with at all."

Smirking in confusion, the girl then lifted her head up to look at the boy in the eyes. "Then what would you call it? Suffering, managing?"

Although he only shook his head before leaning down and kissing the top of her head lightly. "Not at all. I would love it "loving".

Widening her eyes, she let the boy continue. "Every part of you, even with your flaws, I don't "deal with them"...I love them."

Bakugo felt her face immediately turn pink before turning to look at the floor in order to calm her heart beat. He hadn't expected him to say that. "Whaaaaaa you can't just do that!"

Todoroki turned just head at that. "Do what?"

Pushing her lips together in a pout, the girl then looked up again and Todoroki could see the very present hue on her face. "You can't be that smooth, that's illegal!"

The boy seemed clueless though, wondering how such a thing could be illegal. "But it is the truth. You know I love every part of you Amari."

Taking a breath to calm herself, Bakugo immediately casted her eyes to the right. "Y-Yeah, I know. I just wasn't expecting you to say it like that. Give me some warning next time before you make my heart jump out of my chest."

Todoroki watched her stumble over her words before smiling softly, gazing at the girl with utter admiration and love. "Apologies."

Pouting her lips out even further, Amari quickly went to change the conversion in hopes of quelling her heart. "R-Right, so how is it with your father, training I mean?"

He took in the change of conversation before sighing roughly and removing his hands from her waist in order to explain. "My father, is a difficult man. Training has been challenging to say the least, but I can't deny that I've also learned a lot from him over these months."

Amari turned to face him at his words, taking in his face before asking. "Do you regret your decision at all?"

Todoroki's eyes turned thoughtful before he smiled in response, something that made Amari's heart jump. He seemed hopeful. "No, I don't think I do."

Leaping inside her own chest, Bakugo couldn't help but beam at that, knowing that Todoroki was finally starting to listen to his father, if only a little. "That's good. Maybe one day you guys can actually be a family again."

Although then she thought about their still recurring problems, a slight hint of bitter doubt seeping in. "Although, that might be wishful thinking at this point.."

She expected him to completely turn down his idea, to sternly tell her off just like he always did when the topic came up. Although this time was different, this time he mulled the word over in his mind. "Family again…"

Yet just as quickly as his thoughtful expression appeared, it quickly disappeared as he turned to her and grasped her hands. "I want to thank you Amari. If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have given my old man a chance with this. I would've missed out on my training…"

Bakugo couldn't help but shake her head though, giving his hands a little squeeze. "Nah, I didn't do much. I just want you to be happy, I want you to succeed, no matter what."

The boy's expression saddened at that, lifting her hands before bringing them up to his face quietly. This girl had done so much for him, loved him every step of the way. "I don't deserve you."

Widening her eyes, Amari quickly replied. "What are you talking about Shoto? If anything, I don't deserve you..."

Yet the boy only shook his head, letting go of her hand only to cup her face lightly. "I still don't understand how you came into my life. I am from a broken family with a scared face and a torn childhood. You could have had anyone, and yet you continue to do so much, to stay by my side. It's unbelievable to me…"

His words caused a lump of emotion to course in the back of her throat, Amari reaching up to place her own hand onto his own. "Shoto, there could never be anyone else. You found me, you picked me up and showed me that I could be loved. You gave the hope I never knew I needed, you saved me…"

Closing his eyes against her warm palm, Todoroki took in a breath before answering. "As did you."

Smiling back, Amari nodded. "That's why nothing is too big for you. You don't just deserve me, you deserve the world Shoto, and I'm going to give it to you. Just like you saved me, I will always save you. Remember that."

Bakugo began to trail her hand up before landing on his scar and running a couple fingers over it as he internally hummed. "Amari, I know the future is scary right now but I want to have a future with you, I want to live the rest of my life with you someday..."

At that, the girl's heart began to drop in her chest as she recalled Sir Nighteye's prophecy. Who knows if she'd even make it that long, if she could have that wonderful future?

Noticing her silence, the boy immediately tried to backtrack, afraid that he had upset her. "Was that too forward? I apologize.."

Amari heard his distress and immediately shook her head, answering a moment later. "Oh, no it's not that. I do want to have a future with you Shoto, I want it more than anything.."

Her small silence seemed to cause Todoroki to agree, now recognizing the somber tone around the area. He knew she was thinking about her possible death. "Amari.."

Shaking her head, the girl smiled sadly. "Yeah, I know. I'll think positive. Besides, I don't think your brother and sister will wanna let me go that easily anyways."

Bakugo laughed at her own joke as Todoroki stared back silently, feeling her distress immediately and wanting to quell it.

That's when he leaned forward to kiss her quickly before pulling away, his eyes gazing at her intensity. "Amari, I love you."

Blinking in surprise, the girl felt her cheeks grow warm as she smiled back a moment later. "I love you too Shoto."

Todoroki then reached down before grabbing her hands on his own and lifting them up so she could see. "This exam, you're going to pass, get your license, and then you are going to open that agency with your brother. I fully believe that."

He was trying to reassure her, to make her disprove Sir Nighteye's prophecy with his sweet kind words. It almost made her want to believe them for a moment.

So much so that Amari squeezed his hands in response before lifting them up again so she could speak. "And you Shoto, are going to pass this exam, be with your family and become the best hero the world has ever seen. I fully believe that as well."

Hearing the faith that she put in him, Todoroki could help but feel his own cheeks warm just slightly as he nodded back while averting his eyes. "It's a promise then."

Amari nodded in response as a loud voice from inside the building signaled that it was almost time to start the exam. They supposed it was time to make those dreams a reality now.

Although just as they were about to leave, the door opened for them as they watched Hawks shuffle through with a gloved hand over his eyes. "If you two are making out, hurry up and finish. It's almost time to go.."

A wave of embarrassment crashed into the two at that, Amari immediately removing the pro's hands away in order to show him that they were being wholesome. "What the hell Hawks, it's not like that! We were just talking…"

Yet the bird couldn't help but smirk at that, pushing the girl further. "Oh okay sure sure, if that's what you wanna call it. Hey, I don't judge chickadee."

And seeing her turn another shade of red entirely was enough for the bird, his wings stretching out in reply. "Anywaysssss, they are looking for ya. I can't be in the exam but I can walk you to the waiting room."

Trying to get over his rude comments, Amari half heartedly nodded her head before turning to Todoroki and giving him a small smile. "Well, I guess I'll see you out there. Good luck Shoto."

Todoroki nodded as well before recalling the last time she told him good luck. It was back when she accidentally called his eyes pretty out loud. Back when he really didn't know what he was getting into did her? "You too."

Giving him a small wave, the girl then followed Hawks out before stealing one last look at the boy and smiled.

Man, she really loved him.

After that interaction, Amari couldn't help herself from smiling like an idiot down the hallways, just overwhelmed with happiness and love. So much so that it caused Hawks to raise an eye. "What's got you all giggly kid? You seem like you're in a better mood."

Slightly skipping in her next step, Amari hummed back. "Nothing, just happy I guess."

At that, the man only smirked, knowing fully well who changed her attitude. "That Todoroki boy really is something to you, huh? You always act so differently when it comes to him."

This got the girl to stop in her steps, turning away immediately. "W-What, I do not.."

Yet Hawks only chuckled back. "See? You get all nervous and cute. Aww young love is really something. Although, I don't really think I get it kid, that boy sure is different."

It was a mystery that the man hadn't uncovered yet. He had only talked to Endeavor's son a couple times in the last couple months but every time he had, the boy answered very plainly. He seemed like a complete contrast to Amari's loud personality and Hawks was curious to know just how those two got together in the first place.

Subconsciously touching the gold bracelet that Todoroki had given her, Amari frowned. "And is different bad? I don't know if you noticed Hawks but I'm different also."

Staring down at her small form, the bird couldn't help but smirk. "Ya got a point there. Aww look at you, defending your man. Don't worry, I don't mean anything bad by it. I really like him kid, he makes you happy."

Amari couldn't help but scoff at that. "I mean I don't need your approval but thank you?"

Ignoring her sarcasm, the hero beamed. "You're welcome!"

Rolling eyes, Bakugo then began to open her mouth when a very familiar voice stopped her in her track, now looking over to see the commission president just a couple feet from them.

She frowned at the woman as Hawks immediately started to walk faster, his wings blocking the girl all at once. "Shit, I didn't think she'd be here. Just be quiet kid. You don't wanna mess with her again."

Although Amari was far from intimated, now hearing the woman strolling up to Hawks with her usual downcast attitude. "Hawks, what are you doing here? You aren't authorized backstage. Get to your seat immediately."

She saw his feathers twitch in anxiety from behind his wings as the man tucked them further behind his body in an attempt to hide Amari from her. "Oh, don't be like that prez, I was just giving the kids a little pep talk! It's a big day for them, you know?"

Yet from the sound of her voice, the president did not seem pleased, her tone full of distaste. "I see. You would do well to stay in line Hawks. The press doesn't want to see such a scared little boy.."

His wings flitched again and Amari balled her fists in response. This woman was tearing down her friend right before her eyes, using the same techniques as All for One and she hated it.

And because of that, the girl stepped back out from behind Hawks' wings, her voice laced with disgust. "Funny, cause I don't think the press wants to see a villain masquerading as a hero either."

Hawks widened his eyes at that, turning to Amari with panic as the president scoffed. "It's you again. Do you plan to make a mockery of this exam just like you did with that press conference?"

Amari couldn't only smirk though, stepping forward in challenge. "I don't know, are you going to give me a reason to?"

Frowning back, the woman narrowed her eyes. "If you honestly think you will get anywhere in the hero world by speaking to me like that then you would surely be mistaken. Your brother is going to suffer for your unruly tongue."

Her words were meant to be a threat, although the girl couldn't help but scoff at them. "Honestly lady, you're lucky it's me you're facing cause I can assure you my brothers unruly tongue is far worse than mine.."

Hawks could feel the atmosphere increase by the moment, now stepping forward in order to quell the argument. "Now now, why don't we all take a moment to calm down and.."

Although he was quickly cut off as the president hissed back. "Don't interrupt Hawks."

He immediately shut his mouth at that, causing Amari to go livid, her finger raised slightly to point at the woman. "No no, Hawks can interrupt all he wants. Stop telling him what to do, he's not your damn pet."

The woman only raised an eye at that. "What are you saying? I raised him, I can speak to him anyway I want. He's my agent. A child like yourself would never understand."

Shaking her head, Bakugo let out a frustrated sigh. "Yeah, well you're wrong about that. I understand plenty, and I'm fucking sick of it. I'm sick of people like us getting used by you assholes just because you see an easy target."

Seeing her getting more angry, Hawks quickly tried to grab her arm and pull her away from the president. This was going to be bad if she kept spilling information. "Chickadee, come on.."

The woman only casted her eyes down at her words though. "People like us? How quant, you sympathize with him. Unfortunately though, you have no power to tell me what to do."

Playing with the words on her own tongue, Amari crossed her arms. "I don't know. It seems to me like you just want to control him because you know he good he is, how good he could be without you…"

Lifting her arms, the woman smiled cruelly before turning to the man. "Nonsense, Hawks is one of our most promising agents. In fact, he was even sent to kill All for One's masterpiece.."

Widening her eyes, Amari immediately turned to the bird as the woman continued. "Why does that make you afraid Bakugo? Is it because you know something about All for One's masterpiece.."

The girl's mind began to spin at her words. Wait, why was she saying this to her, did she know that she was All for One's masterpiece, did she know she killed Kazumi, and did Hawks really want to kill her? Why hadn't he then, he had plenty of chances in the last four months…

Hawks himself didn't have to process it either, not fully registering the president's words in utter shock. Wait, why was she revealing this information, to shake Bakugo up? But then that meant she suspected her, she was planning a lead.

Becoming speechless, the girl took in a shaky breath before replying. "N-No, I already said I don't know anything. He kidnapped me and I heard him talk about it once, that's all…"

The president bore into the small girl's eyes for an agonizing moment before pushing her lips together and humming. "We'll see if your answer is still the same after the exam."

Feeling the mouth run dry, Amari spoke. "What the hell does that mean?"

Yet the woman only smirked, a knowing look in her eyes. "You'll find out soon enough. I made a few modifications to the exam this year, one's I know you're going to like."

Although her tone was anything but kind, Amari now seeing her turn her hand before moving away. "Like for instance, I know about your love for crowds, so I was generous enough to allow an audience for this year's exam…"

Widening her eyes in utter terror at the thought of a thousand eyes on her, the woman continued darkly. "The entire world will be watching you Bakugo Amari. Let's hope you don't make a mistake…"

And then without another word, she was gone, leaving Amari staring in utter silence at all the unsaid information.

Hawks was sent to kill her, the president suspected she was All for One's masterpiece, and now there would be thousands of people watching her exam in order for her to fail. It was too much, too much to think about, too much to process..

Feeling her breath shorten, Amari took in shaky breath as she silently turned to Hawks with a terrified expression. "Keigo, what are we going to do?"
