"Are you sure you're ready for this?"

Fitz held Olivia's legs over his arms. She was trembling and they hadn't started anything yet.

"I'm ready."

"We can wait a few more weeks."

Olivia was cleared to have sex again by her doctor. The surgery was 8 weeks ago. The triplets for 3 months, and their babies were settled into a routine.

Olivia pulled her legs back. "It's been 6 months. I don't want you to think I'm holding out."

"I'm not an insensitive asshole. We don't have to rush anything."

"I can't get pregnant anymore. I didn't think I would care about it. I feel like I lost something important."

"We can still have more kids together. You still have eggs. We can hire a surrogate."

"I didn't think of that."

"Not right now. Let's wait until the triplets start school before we try for another baby."

Olivia laughed. "Hopefully we only get one baby."

"Are you happy Livvie?"

"I am happy."

"I don't know if this is the right time to tell you this."

"What?"

"Mellie called me today. Marcus wants to move to DC. He's not running for re-election. I'm sure you know that already. He wants to be a family with Mellie in DC."

"Wow. Okay."

"There's more. He already bought a house in our neighborhood."

"What?"

"He didn't intentionally plan to live near us. Mellie didn't tell him where we live in DC until after he bought the house."

"So what does that mean for our family?"

"It means a lot. I want you to be prepared for when Karen asks to stay at their house for a weekend."

"Only a weekend?"

"For now, yes. He's trying to convince Mellie to apply for college. She's always wanted to be a nurse."

"I know she wants to be a nurse. It's been her dream job since we were kids."

"I hope she makes it. Do you?"

"Yeah that would be great for her."

"They are moving this weekend. Marcus wants me to come to Virginia to drive his car. He's driving Mellie's car, so she can give Kelly her complete attention while they're on the road. I can take Karen with me."

"I'm okay with that. I am not okay with co-parenting with Mellie."

"Olivia, you adopted Karen because you wanted to help Mellie. Are you really her friend, or is she your competition?"

"Karen is my child."

"I think you need another lesson on sharing. How about another treasure box?"

"This is different. I'm her real mom. Mellie can't take her kid back when she decides she wants to be a mom."

"I'm not asking you to reverse the adoption. I'm asking you to care about your friend."

"You're asking me to give away my child."

"If you were childless, I could understand you being upset. We have three babies Olivia. They only have us. You said you want another baby. How much attention do you really think you will be able to give Karen?"

Olivia didn't answer his question.

"Goodnight Livvie."
