Prompt from MagicAlpha: Stuck in another time period, Nick and Judy encounter the legendary Robin Hood.

…..

Robin sighed in relief as the morning sun hit his face, arm in arm with Maid Marian as they walked through the streets.

Ever since the fall of Prince John, the streets were how they should be.

Full of life.

No-one hiding as the Sheriff and the guards came round.

It was perfect.

And then they heard the screaming.

"Stay here." Robin gently ordered his wife, before rushing off in the direction of the screams. On the edge of the forest, he stopped in his tracks.

Lying in a heap on the ground, was another fox and a rabbit, their limbs entangled as they growled at each other.

Their clothing was… strange as well.

"I told you not to press the button Nick!"

"I know! I know!"

"Several times, I told you!"

"I know!"

Aside from him and Maid Marian, it had been quite some time since he'd seen another fox, Prince John having driven the majority off early on in his temporary reign.

Nervously, he cleared his throat, as both turned to look at him.

"Is that- it can't be- "

"- Robin Hood." The fox whispered, "That's Robin Hood." His eyes were wide in amazement, "That's THE Robin Hood!"

Robin couldn't help but preen slightly at the awe. "I see my reputation precedes me." He frowned as they got to their feet, "What are you wearing?"

The pair glanced down at their clothing, before wincing.

"It's- it's- "

"- When is this?" The Fox glanced around, not seeming to notice that the bunny was glaring at him, "Like, have you already defeated Prince John? Are you married to Maid Marion yet? Did you- "

"- NICK!" The rabbit slapped the fox on the arm, before turning back to Robin, "I'm so sorry about him."

Robin felt very lost.

"Why don't we… head back to mine." He eventually sighed, "Try and get this all straightened out."

As he led them back towards the town, he pretended not to hear this… Nick's excited squealing.

He had to admit… usually his fanboys were a little younger.
