Ann had been ready waiting for the escort to pick her up at the house and with it cold. She was feeling cold slightly throughout her bones. It was moments there was a knock on the front door as she jump slightly making her heart race.

She moves over to the front door to see a young female security officer. "Mrs. Mann my name is Sergeant Jane Alcott I am here to bring you to the airport and with the helicopter waiting for you." she said calmly.

"Thank you for coming to pick me up. I guess it would be easier to fly this way instead of a commercial airplane?" she replied with the Sergeant grabbing her things and including her laptop to keep her sane while waiting .

Ann turned out the lights in the house before leaving and with locking the front door with the keys and throwing them into her blue purse. It was cold and it was a really good thing that she was wearing her heavy wool black coat as with the matching gloves and hat.

Getting into the front seat with the blue security vehicle from NCIS with help from Director Leon Vance. "This is not going to take long with no traffic at this late hour." she said to Ann settling in to her seat...

"I hope not Sergeant!" she commented...

Doctor Goodman and his daughter had finished up with the patient with removing the bullet and fragment from an area of his stomach not hitting any organs or intestinal tract to cause any issues with his bowels especially with eating.

His daughter Sarah had the job of finishing with sewing it up with the special threat. While she had keep asking the team to keep her updated with the Colonel's vitals. They had already pumped in three bags of blood of AB Negative with more in case of any later internal bleeding inside his stomach.

Anything can happened like with a stroke, more internal bleeding, infection to be the biggest key for any surgery like this with the wound.

Her father had left her alone while heading for the waiting the group in the waiting room. Julies and Madden had come back from downstairs having something to eat when the doors opens of the waiting room to be Doctor Goodman.

"Doctor how is Colonel Mann?" Lt. Jackson had to asked with getting up from his seat.

"He's going to be alright since we were able to remove the bullet and fragments. Has his wife arrive yet?" he asked with concern...

"She is on the way with a helicopter to bring her to the rooftop of this hospital. When will we be able to see him for a shot visit?"

"Colonel Mann currently is being cleaned up before heading on over to recovery and than ICU to be another hour. I will say that he's a lucky guy to survive this with anything that can happened. We are going to be watching him carefully for any further issues like with infection. Anyway I will send someone to let you know for when it's possible to visit the colonel." he walked out to head back to the operating room area.

He had met his daughter in the scrubbing room ..."Are you alright?" He asked his daughter drying her hands.

"Sure I am find dad. I love you for letting me in on the surgery?" she commented with removing her mask, cap and dirty green gown into the pale to be cleaned...

"No problem. We need to be sure that we keep an eye out on the Colonel on this type of wound. His wife is going to be here soon to stay with her husband along with his friends." he responded with kissing his daughter onto her brow with the both of them to head downstairs for something to eat.

Meanwhile Colonel Mann was being set up in his private room making all of the machinery hooked up was working correctly. Supervisory nurse Rose Marie Cerley working at the hospital for the past 11 years. She asked to have the medical handed over her by one of the younger nurses removing it from the table left by the transport technician. "Thank you." she said with writing some notes on the first page making sure that Colonel Mann medications is checked every couple of hours especially for when it comes to the pain levels.

Placing it into the slot of his door for anyone needs it to look it. She left the room to head back to the nurses station.

Mrs. Ann Mann had been relaxed throughout the ride on board the helicopter. As the pilot was extremely nice making sure she wasn't scared at all. "We will be arriving at the hospital in five minutes." he commented with his words to have Ann relaxed even further that she was going to be with her husband.

"How long have been flying these type of helicopters?" she needed to asked...

"15 years Mrs. Mann for NCIS. Hopefully I will be able to continued on for another ten years before my retirement." he quipped with his comment smiling through the glasses.

"I sure can understand that with my husband to retire in 15 plus years. That's if he lives long enough to enjoy it for the most part?" she says...

Moments later with an escort waiting on the rooftop with the wind moving from Southwest making it a little tricky for the pilot to land on the rooftop. Otherwise he was used to these type of conditions.

Landing down with the first try using the landing lights and with turning off the blades in order for Ann and the personal belongings to be taken off with the escort to take her down to the eighth floor waiting room.

"Mrs. Mann I am security officer Jack Wills Jr. I am here to take you down to the waiting room with your husband in his own private room right now." he says with walking inside first with the pilot of the helicopter to be taking off to head back to the Naval Yards to have the flight crews to be refueling again in case it's needed.

"I appreciate this greatly." she followed him inside feeling the heat making her feel warmer from the chill of the flight.
