All for One's words continued to fill her mind after he gave his conditions to Todoroki's safely. Although Amari couldn't even begin to fully process them. This was just a horrible nightmare. That's all it had to be, right?
There was no way her one light, her one love was ripped away from her so quickly, so instantly and without mercy. Not him, anyone but him. She couldn't even begin to bear the idea of that boy being corrupted as she once was, having his mind twisted into something so broken and unrecognizable with no hope of saving.
Any minute now. Yes, that's right, any minute now and Todoroki would come through that door and apologize for being late at the bakery. Then he would hug her and hold her like he always did, chasing away these nightmares and terrible thoughts until they were only a vivid dream.
Although after a couple devastating moments of silence, Amari fully knew the truth. He wasn't coming back, and it was all because of her.
The only reason All for One had taken him in the first place was because of her selfish desire to keep him close, to want to feel normal and loved. How terrible, how cruel of her to want such things from someone so innocent and pure. Now he would have to suffer for her.
She willed any semblance of words to her lips but only came up dry before the villain continued his horrible mental torture through her ears. "I will take your silence as understanding Little One. It's a pity the boy will have to suffer in the meantime though. You see, for your punishment of being disobedient, I'll make sure to give him a warm welcome while you make your choice.."
Widening her eyes in utter horror, flashes of terrible memories and the past suddenly reached her eyes as her mind replaced them with Todoroki's face instead. His screaming, crying and pleading face plastered with tears. No, please no...
Bakugo could feel her hands start to lose feeling as the pressure itself almost broke the phone in two. She had to say something, something to save him. "D-Don't...he's innocent. I'm the one you want, not him.."
Finally hearing her voice again, the man hummed in response. "You're correct, and that's why I'm being so kind. If you come back to me without any resistance then the boy can go free. Haven't you made him suffer enough, haven't you hurt him enough? Do him a kindness and set him free Bakugo, you know I'm right..."
Amari felt her lips screw shut before shaking her head in devastation. Somewhere in her heart she knew he was right. Even back at the sports festival she knew that getting close to Todoroki may have ruined him, but she didn't care. She still lived in that delusion of a normal life. How foolish that seemed now.
Feeling tears cloud her eyes, Bakugo's response turned into a shaky breath as All for One fully knew that he had ruined her, that he had broken his little pet so easily. "Whatever you decide, don't think about it for too long. The longer you wait, the more Todoroki will have to pay for it.."
His cruel words danced off his tongue before the line went dead, causing Amari to stare blankly ahead as she tried to process his demands word by word before a terrible realization hit.
Thinking back to Sir Nighteye's prediction, Amari still had that small glimmer of hope in her chest that she could cheat the system. That if she just didn't face All for One then her life would be saved. That was the plan, the plan that had fallen apart so easily.
Because now it wasn't just about her. There was only one choice she could make now, and that was to choose between herself or Todoroki.
It was so terribly cruel, Amari knowing fully well that she wasn't going to make it out of this alive if she fought that villain.
It was plain and simple. If she went back to All For One then she would die.
But then again, the other option seemed more heart wrenching then the other, and it was something that the girl couldn't ever bring herself to think about...
Because if she didn't face All for One, then Todoroki was going to be the sacrifice to take her place. That was it, that was Sir Nighteye's prediction. It had to be. This is what he warned her about...
Just then, a voice called out behind her as she recognized her brother immediately.
Although her back was still turned around she could hear his words clear as day. "Amari, what the hell are you doing in here? Come on, that stupid bird wants to take some pictures in order to "remember the day" or some crap..."
His reason for seeing her was so happy, so joyful. Although, the girl couldn't feel any of that right now, only turning around as she met Katsuki's concerned eyes. "K-Katsuki.."
Almost immediately, the boy sensed something wrong as he watched his sisters eyes fill with tears immediately, spilling off the sides in a devastating line. "T-They took him. A-All for One took Shoto..."
Twisting his brow in confusion, the boy took a step closer before Amari's legs completely gave out, causing her to crumble to the floor in unsaid agony. "H-He's gone and it's my fault. He only took him because of me. K-Katsuki, I don't...I don't know what to do..."
Amari's brother quickly tried to piece together her broken sentences before widening his eyes in realization. Icy hot was in the bastards hands? What the hell, that fucking asshole. He only did that to make his sister suffer, didn't he?
Katsuki then shook his head in disbelief before touching Amari's arm lightly as he watched her falling apart before his very eyes. "Icyhot? No way, you've gotta be fucking kidding me.."
And on the normal day that's exactly what the boy would've done, just written it off as a stupid prank or commnet. He may not have liked Todoroki but he knew the boy wasn't weak. So hearing that he was taken by All for One was kinda unbelievable to him.
Yet Amari quickly disapproved of that theory as she quickly buried herself in her brother's arms, wishing for any kind of comfort right now. "O-Oh god. He's going to torture him, he's going to make him like me...No no, this is all my fault. He's going to be ruined because of me...I can't...I can't..."
Feeling herself choke on her own air, the girl weakly began to grab onto Katsuki's jacket as his eyes rose in terror, recognizing her going into one of her episodes of panic. "H-Hey, Hey Hey, Amari look at me.. You gotta breathe, you idiot. C-Come on..."
Although the girl was far too gone for that, the terror reaching into her eyes as her whole body began to shake. Katsuki then saw as her Nomu blood rose to her surface before stopping just before her neck. "I..I...I'm sorry...I'm sorry I made him suffer...I didn't mean to...I love him...I love him so much.. he's going to be ruined..everyone always gets ruined by me..like Kazumi..."
Quickly gathered his sister in his arms, Bakugo's heart broke all over again as he gently rubbed her back in a desperate attempt to calm her down. He had only seen her have an attack like this a couple times and it still terrified him to no end.
He felt so helpless, so worthless because he couldn't do anything. He couldn't help her. "Shit, she's doing it again. Amari, H-Hey look at me, look at me and stop fucking scaring me. You're okay, you just can't think straight right now..."
Yet once again he received no response as the sound of her own tears and hyperventilating filled the air. It's like she wasn't even registering what she was saying. "I'm so scared, I don't wanna die...I don't want to leave everyone..why...why...why am I so selfish?!"
Covering her face with her numb hands, Amari's mind began to race in every direction possible, tearing her apart as her own despair, All for One's voice and the gravity of the situation suffocated her with every breath.
Although that's when that man's horrible words played over in her head and the girl wanted nothing but to move her stuff body, to go back to Todoroki and bring him home, to apologize and drag him out of this mess that she had so unknowingly created.
The longer she waited, the more he suffered. That's exactly what All for One said. And because of that, she forced her body to move, to shove any semblance of warm off her as her own insanity pushed her forward.
Just then her legs seemingly moved on their own as Amari stumbled to her feet only for her brother to catch her when she slipped. "Whoa whoa, what the hell do you think you're doing?"
Yet when she realized he was holding her back, the girl growled at Katsuki before he watched her eyes darken, fear and desire taking up their entire. "I have to save him...I have to go..."
She tried to move again although her brother was faster, quickly gripping onto her arms before roughly replying. "Are you an idiot? You can't just go in there alone without a plan! Think for a goddamn second, would you..?!"
Although what he didn't know is that any logical thought process had already completely gone out the window for the girl, crushed and decayed as soon as she found out the terrible news.
Growling once again in utter frustration, Katsuki watched as the Nomu blood crept even further up her face, only to snake around her eyes. A sign of her fully losing control. "No! Let me go! You don't understand. The longer I wait...the longer Shoto will be like me...that's not happening...I can't let that happen..."
She began to push against her brother as Bakugo stubbornly held onto her thin arm, trying to bring her sanity back to no avail. "I'm not letting you go off to that bastard alone, I'm not letting you torture yourself just for icyhot! Think of what that bastard would want, he wouldn't what you to fucking kill yourself over him..!"
Katsuki didn't fully understand the meaning of his own words but Amari sure did. Sure he didn't know about Sir Nighteye's prediction but his last sentence hit just as hard.
Because the thing was, Amari had already made her choice. If the only options were to save herself or Todoroki, then she would gladly die for him.
He was everything to her, he was her savior, her first love. He had selflessly taken her hand and held it through every nightmare inducing terrible fate that she had experienced. He was the constant light in her life, the one that had to survive, no matter what.
Digging her hands into Katsuki's arms, in order to scratch him, a flash of Todoroki's tortured face entered her mind as the girl fought him even harder. "I don't care...I don't care what happens to me...just let me go and save him...!"
Bakugo could tell her thinking was illogical because if she really wanted to, then the girl couldn't easily use her Nomu blood to break free of his hold. That meant there was still something in her mind that didn't want to let go, that did care what happened to her.
And for that reason, Katsuki held on even tighter as another pair of footsteps entered the space, stopping in front of the scene in devastation. "A-Amari?"
Turning to look at the face, Amari continued to struggle weakly as Katsuki met the eyes of her friend Shinso who was completely stunned.
He may have not liked the boy but Katsuki quickly threw that out of the window for his sisters safely, crying back roughly as she punched him in the stomach. "Don't just stand there, help me you asshole!"
This seemed to wake the purple haired boy up, quickly racing up to the two before saddening his eyes. Amari seemed completely gone, with a dullness in her eyes he had only seen once before, and that was during the school festival. "Amari, oh god, what happened?"
She growled back at them as Katsuki cursed. "She's losing control of herself. Hurry and fucking do something before her god damn Nomu blood takes her over. I won't be able to stop her after that..."
Looking at his hands, Shinso breathed out a moment of terror, watching the girl he loved utterly broken and falling apart in her brother's arms. He was right, he had to do something for her.
He then ran up to her before gazing at her tear stained face before calling out to her. "Amari, answer me. What's going on, talk to me..."
Touching her face with two light fingers, the girl immediately turned her head away before hissing and struggling more. "No..."
Although that was enough, as Katsuki watched his sisters eyes turn lifeless a moment later, a clear sign that Shinso used his quirk on her.
Turning his head in a sigh of relief, the purple haired boy slowly pushed a strand of hair from her face before his eyes crumbled in unsaid heartbreak. He didn't even know what had caused her to get this unhinged but it broke him all the same.
He then cleared a couple more tears before speaking to her sadly. "Sleep."
All at once, Bakugo's body went limp as Shinso caught her small form, staring at her silently before turning back to her brother silently. He had so many questions, so many fears with the display he just saw.
Blinking in surprise at the now resting Amari, the boy shook his head once before sighing in exasperation and opened his mouth to answer...
Although he was quickly stopped when the pair of wings appeared in the corner of his vision, Hawks staring down at the three kids in unsaid confusion, unaware of the horrors that had just occurred. "W-What happened?"
Groaning to himself, Todoroki lulled his head to the side only to feel slightly nauseous and out of sorts. Although just when he tried to rub his face in order to quell that feeling, the boy found his movements immediately restricted by two metal cuffs holding him in place.
Just then, everything came rushing back as the boy quickly looked around in order to take in his surroundings. Why did Amari..
Wait, that wasn't Amari, that was someone else that drugged him, wasn't it? All of the weird little details he has explained away, the out of place mannerisms of the girl, he should've listened to them instead of just brushing them off.
Just then, a voice shocked him out of his own thoughts, heckling him as the man sat only a few feet away. He seemed to be watching him with absolute intent, covered by the shadows next to him. "Ah, little Todoroki. May I say it's wonderful to finally meet you properly this time. Son of the number one hero Endeavor and object of my little one's desire..."
Twisting his head up at the voice, Todoroki's eyes immediately hollowed as All For One stepped out of the darkness, causing the boy to breathe in an intake of pure shock and horror.
This was him, this was the man that has tortured the one he loved and made her believe such terrible lies and desires. It was all his fault, and he was standing before him right now. "You.."
Chuckling in response, the man coaxed back. "Yes, it's me, and may I just say I've been waiting for this day for such a long time. But you know how it is, having to bide my time until that girl was completely consumed by foolish hope. It does make the fall so much more meaningful, don't you think?"
He strolled up to the boy as Todoroki began to pull at his chains with a glare. "You're wrong. Amari is much stronger than you think she is. I've seen it firsthand. She's not the same child you twisted anymore.."
Yet All for One only continued walking until he was just a couple feet from the boy. "Such care, such devotion for her. How sweet. Although that is simply not the case. She believes she is strong but that girl knows who she belongs to..."
Twisting his lips into a tight smirk, the man then placed two fingers onto Todoroki's jaw before forcing him to look at him. "You should've heard it. Just a couple words about you and she was already begging to take your place."
He didn't want to show any reaction but the boy couldn't help but widen his eyes at All for One's claims. He knew Amari more than anything, what she would do in order to save him, but then again that thought terrified him even more.
Because he knew that if she willingly faced All for One, then Sir Nighteye's prediction was going to come true, and that was something he just couldn't face.
Fighting against his restraints in slight fear and anger, the boy found he couldn't activate his quirk as the man chuckled once more. "My, and full of passion and anger as well, just like her. I can see why she chose you. It's a shame those quirk suppression restraints will make it quite difficult for you."
Todoroki cursed internally before realizing the situation around him. He didn't have a quirk or any idea where he was which meant escaping would be ten times more difficult. But even so he had to try before Amari willingly signed her life away.
Glaring back at the man, the two tone boy replied plainly. "I won't let you lay a hand on her. No matter what you may think, Amari will not be your pet or your masterpiece."
He then watched as All for One's lips twitched down before letting go of Todoroki's face and moving away. "I suppose we shall see. I don't know why you defend the girl so much as she's the one that put you into this situation. Do you not realize that?"
His words made the boy twist his face in disgust before immediately shaking his head. That may have been true, he may have only been a lure in order to draw the girl out but he would never blame her for it.
Letting his voice echo back in disdain, Todoroki replied. "It doesn't matter. I love her, something that you wouldn't ever understand. Her pain is my pain, her suffering is mine as well..."
All for One only shook his head in response. "It seems that the stubborn attitude of hers has carried onto you as well. Let's hope you keep that until the end my dear boy."
Suddenly, two men appeared besides Todoroki as they lifted him up from his seat, grabbing roughly onto his arms in order to make him stand up. "What are you.."
Moving up to him, All For One only hummed at his displeasure. "It's a shame you're so kind little Todoroki, but because of Bakugo's disobedience I have to punish her rebellion. I'm sure you understand, given that you're the one she loves so very much.."
Todoroki's eyes widened at his words before immediately trying to push against the men with no avail. It was useless, without a quirk he couldn't do anything. "What does that mean?"
Then the men forced him to walk closer as All for One looked down at the confused boy. "You should thank me, I'm going to give you a first hand experience and make you stronger because of it, just like Bakugo.."
Although that didn't wash away any of his fear, knowing fully well the kinds of things this man was capable of, the things that woke Amari up at night screaming for help. He didn't want to know, he didn't want to see what she went through.
Yet it seemed like the boy didn't have a choice as the men pushed him out of the door into a solid white room before throwing him down and releasing his restraints.
Quickly turning around, the boy activated his quirk only for the doors to shut with a heavy slam, leaving Todoroki in absolute silence and confusion. What were they going to do to him?
Suddenly a booming thud was overheard as four giant Nomu ripped their way from the flimsy doors causing the boy to take a step back in shock.
Wait, he wanted him to fight these things? It was impossible, he didn't have the skill to take down four Nomu..
Although that's when All for One's voice came back into his mind, the small speaker on the left talking smooth and calm. "This is your test young Todoroki. You can't rest until you kill these Nomu or they kill you. It's as simple as that. You want to go back to your love? Then prove it to me... "
The Nomu roared in warning as they began to circle the boy, causing Todoroki's quirk to twitch on instinct. He was really going to let him die if he didn't follow his orders. The pressure was mind numbing and the boy wondered if this is how Amari felt every day, constantly living in fear of not surviving to the next day.
Before he had time to think, one of the monster's claws came down as Todoroki threw a sheet of ice across in it's direction, causing the Nomu to cry out in pain. This wasn't good, he needed to think of a plan and fast.
Yet he was suddenly brought out of his thoughts when another's hand slammed into his chest as it knocked the life out of him almost instantly.
Hiding the side of the wall, Todoroki groaned as All for One's voice echoed back a moment later. "Get up little Todoroki. Don't you want to go back to your love? She's waiting for you and you're letting her down.."
A hot ball of rage echoed in his throat before the boy ignited his fireside, burning the two Nomu closest to him as he stumbled to his feet. As much as he hated it, the villain was right. Amari was waiting for him, he couldn't give up now.
Quickly switching to ice, the boy then slipped past one of it's outstretched claws before freezing its entire body into a moving statue as it shone in the heat of the bright lights. That was one down..
Although he was quickly taken out as the Nomu seemingly broke through the ice like nothing, causing Todoroki's face to hollow. His ice wouldn't even hold it, what was he going to do?
Another approached him quickly as the boy burned it's leg only for a hidden Nomu to reach out behind him before grabbing his entire body in a suffocating embrace as he gasped for air.
He then felt his side burst in pain as it's sharp claws started to dig into his skin, causing the boy to gasp at the contact before the Nomu brought his hand to the floor with immense force.
Slamming his body into the ground, the area began to crack around him as Todoroki gritted his teeth, already feeling the frost bite from his quirk overuse start to creep in. There were just too many for him to control alone.
The boy choked out a breath before All for One's voice entered again, making fun of him for not completing the task fast enough. "Don't tell me you're giving up little Todoroki? My how weak you are. If only Bakugo could see you now, how disappointed she'd be.."
Gritting his teeth at the words, Todoroki quickly grabbed onto the Nomu's hand before pulling upwards in an attempt to break free as the villain continued. "If you die here then you are useless to me, you are useless to Bakugo and your father. Don't you know, giving up is the same as dying? Show me how you want to survive, show me how you fight...!"
Somehow the words slammed into the boy before shaking his head in absolute fury. He didn't want to die, he didn't want to be useless to Amari. She had done so much, she had already beaten these things so why couldn't he?
He couldn't give up, because he did then he would be dead. It was very clear that All for One didn't need him so if he couldn't succeed then it would be all over.
Suddenly, some of Amari's past behaviors and mannerisms made sense. Her need to keep going, her desire to fight until she destroyed herself. Todoroki could see how something like this could change a person's mind into those beliefs, and he absolutely hated it.
He hated that he was now feeling the same sort of emotions, the internal drive as that villains words twisted around him in order to keep fighting. This is how he broke her, this is how Amari grew up.
But even just the same, he was forced to listen to those words, to those awful things as desire filled his entire body. He had to make it out of here, for Amari and for himself. It didn't matter if he pushed himself past his own limits, he needed to see that she was safe.
And because of that, Todoroki felt his left palm light up in absolute fury before shoving his hand onto the Nomu's face and burning it with the most incense fire he had ever produced.
It scared him, overwhelmed by the consuming anger on his own face, the desire to destroy if it meant he lived.
He knew All for One forced this on him but it wasn't enough to stop it, for the boy was too far gone in the moment to care.
The Nomu screamed in agony before it's entire body went numb, falling to the floor in a lifeless thud as Todoroki wordlessly stumbled back to his feet with dead eyes at his prey. Now was not the time to think about that, he had to keep fighting.
Almost immediately, his palms activated his quirk without warning and his body robotically moved forward with only one single desire in his mind, the same desire that All for One had instilled into Amari's mind as a child over and over again.
To survive.
Feeling on the verge of death, Todoroki's eyes lulled closed as he suddenly felt two strong arms lift his body off the floor before carrying him to a darkened room and shutting the door behind him.
His quirk had made him both seemingly on the verge of hypothermia while burning up as both of his sides fought each other in silent agony. It took literally everything he had to destroy those Nomu and now the cost of the fight was slowly sinking in.
Even with his fathers training, the boy had never experienced this level of exhaustion before. It was like if he closed his eyes for a moment then he would never wake up.
He silently wondered if this is what Amari felt like after her training sessions as well. He hoped that wasn't the case, now picturing a small blonde haired girl in agony as she cried herself to sleep in this dark silent room. Todoroki didn't really want to think about that.
Groaning, the boy forced himself to sit up as a wave of nausea punched him in the stomach, causing Todoroki to lean over and empty the contents with terrible deja vu. It reminded him of his childhood.
Todoroki then re-foused his eyes only to find himself in a small barren room with only a small bed in the corner and a single picture on the wall.
He forced himself to move towards the photo only gasping at the two very familiar figures on the wall, recognizing them immediately.
It displayed a very small Amari, maybe kindergarten age in the hospital with tubes and wires all around her skin as she grinned happily. Her skin was incredibly pale with her incredibly thin arms holding up a peace sign as her brother frowned towards the camera, almost like he was forced to be there.
Todoroki took his shaking hands before carefully unsticking the picture, looking closer and the slightly burned edges on the side. It was like someone tried to burn off Amari's side of the photo although they didn't make it past the corner.
Although that's when the boy recognized the familiar burns and widened his eyes. These burns, they were from Amari's quirk. Had she tried to to burn her half of the photo before? Why did she do that, and why did she leave her brother's side alone?
Twisting his brow in confusion, Todoroki then realized that this room must have been where Amari lived as a kid. That's why the picture was there.
But as he quickly looked around, the boy took in the blank walls before saddening. The only thing in this room was that picture. It was as if it was the only personal thing she had. How many times had she looked at it, how many times had she cried next to it? It hurt him to even think about these things.
Trying to erase the idea from his mind, Todoroki then laid himself on the bed before leaning back on the pillow in order to quell some of his aching muscles.
Although as soon as his head hit the mattress, the boy felt something underneath his head, reaching behind him only to pull out a dozen small letters, folded up rather sloppily and quickly. What was this?
Quickly unfolding the edges, Todoroki then opened the first paper before his eyes widened at the small child's handwriting that filled the page.
Katsuki,
I know you won't read this but I just wanted to say that I miss you. Everything hurts, I'm hungry, it's dark and I want to go home, but the man says I can't. Is it really true that you didn't want me? Not even Mommy or Daddy? I'm sorry, I wish I was strong like you, then you could smile more. I want to be your sister but I know it makes you sad. I don't want to make you sad anymore.
If you had another sister would you not be sad? The man says that you'll love me if I become stronger. I'm scared brother, I'm scared when they hurt me and make me do bad things. I don't want to do bad things but I don't want you and Mommy and Daddy to cry anymore because of me. I want you to be happy.
So to do that I will listen to the man, I will get stronger so that you won't be upset anymore. He says it will be hard but I know I can do it, I have to do it. For you and Mommy and Daddy and everyone that didn't want me.
I'll change for you.
Bakugo Amari
Touching the sides of the paper, Todoroki found dried up tears stained which meant that the girls were crying while writing this letter, a letter she knew that brother would never see, a letter that was filled with the sorrowful words of a child's loneliness.
It was too much, too much devastation and pain that the boy had to close the paper before placing it up to his face as tears lined his own eyes.
Now he fully understood what she went through
Katsuki had ascended the stairs to the dorms as he rubbed his face in unsaid exhaustion. After telling Hawks about the situation, the boy carried his sister back to his dorm room where she could relax and hopefully calm down.
He hoped that when she woke up that girl would have a more rational brain, enough for them to have an actual conversation about what to do about Todoroki.
Turning his head, the boy rounded the corner only to find Deku standing outside of his room, worry clear across his face. "How's Mari-chan doing?"
Bakugo really didn't want to answer him but he also knew this was about more than him right now. Whether he liked it or not, Deku and his sister were friends. "Still passed out."
Nodding back, the greened haired boy then looked at his hands before frowning. "She must be really upset about Todoroki. I wish I knew what was happening, I could've done something.."
Although the boy only groaned before reaching his hand for the handle to his door. "That idiot doesn't listen to anyone when she's like this. It's pointless to even talk any sense into her until she's calmed down."
Nodding back sadly, Deku replied plainly. "Sounds kind of like you Kacchan."
This caused Bakugo to scoff before rolling his eyes, already over this conversation with the green haired nerd. Just because he was right didn't mean Katsuki had to give him the satisfaction. "Shut up, now get out of my way."
Deku immediately complied before Katsuki pushed open the door to his room, stepping into the darkness as he called out to his sleeping sister. "Did you finally calm down yet..?"
Although his breath quickly caught in his throat as he was met with silence, now staring into a quiet, empty room.
Rushing forward in panic, Deku and Katsuki then caught the sight of his window hanging open as the breeze hit their face in absolute horror before they realized something terrifying.
She was gone.
Moving to get a drink from his cupboard, Hawks sighed heavily when he heard a hard knock on his door, causing the bird to immediately move over to the surface. "Coming.."
Although when he pulled open the door, he was met with shock, now seeing Amari drenched by the newly fallen rain as she stared forward with absolute intent. "Chickadee? What are you doing here...?
Her eyes were focused and fierce with fire in the edges, something that the hero had never seen before, even with Kazumi. Last he heard Amari had been taken back to the dorms after breaking down. He expected her to be crying, to be distraught but it seemed the girl was way past that.
Instead she was serious, so serious that the bird felt the threatening air around them as she hissed back in malicious intent . "Tell me where to find Dabi."
Amari's about to have some words with Dabi. Oh boy. She knows he let this happen and she's pissedddddd.
Also we have full understanding and descriptions of how Amari was treated as a child, what she went through and how her mindset was twisted into what we see from the beginning of the book. Todoroki see's first hand just how All for One broke her. Let's hope she saves him before he falls to the same traps.
Also I don't know if you caught the reason why Amari tried to burn her half of the photo but it's because at one point in her training, she hated herself so much that she thought it would be better if she was gone. Although as you can see she never went through with actually burning the photo. It just shows how dark her mind was back then.
Next chapter: Amari has some words.
