CH 95 – MOM
*** Wayne's narrative (voice-over) ***
What is it…? The 1st world you pronounce? The person you grow, admiring? The person who makes your world a better place just by being in it. Everyone has a special person in their hearts and for most of the people, that person is the same as me…
"MOM!"
Wayne is waiting for Emily at the entry of the house.
"I'm coming!"
"Hurry up, MOM! Or we will be late for practice!"
The brunette is not the kind of a person who likes to get late or make one of her kids waiting. But, each time she tries to get out of bed, a strong force pulls her back. A blonde who's crazy in love with her.
"Ali, stop it! I've to go!"
The beautiful mermaid giggles when she struggles to get out of bed. She fails miserably because the dear Queen Bee is hugging her from the waist, refusing to let her go as she maps the neck of Emily with kisses.
"Em, why do you want to leave when there are so many things I want to do to you…"
The brunette bites her bottom lip, letting the kisses go to her head and for a second she completely forgets why she was struggling to get out of this kiss attack.
"What kind of things do you want to do?"
The blonde doesn't reply, she loves to tease and Emily gets a strong thunder of desire running all over her skin when her dear wife licks her ear and whispers into her ear with a very sexy voice…
"I prefer to show you…"
Emily moans, she's so wet now. Let it to Alison to make her feel so horny on a Saturday morning after a long week of work. Looking into their day-to-day activities, they should have no energy to do anything at all. But, their love is stronger than any tiredness, and their desire is a powerful motivation that always makes their morning something to remember but not today…
"MOM!"
"No, Ali. I've to go…"
The brunette jumps out of bed when she hears the calling of their son. She has to stay strong, especially when Alison pouts.
"Em, don't go. We haven't done it in a long time!"
"Ali, don't be dramatic, we had sex two days ago"
"No, Em, we didn't. Or, do I've to remind you that when we were starting it, Alice got a tummy ache and she almost caught us in the act when she opened our door!"
The brunette chuckles, they were in the middle of a heated make-out that was supposed to lead to something more when one of the twins interrupted them. Like most of the time, something always comes in the middle of their intimacy. And, that something is always their kids. Do not get it wrong, they love their family and their kids more than anything else in this world. But, with 5 kids in the house, it's hard to find a moment for themselves.
"I'm sorry Ali, but, I've to go. The finals are close and I promised Wayne to help him to improve his time"
The brunette rushes to dress and Alison just drops her horny body against the bed. The blonde is smart enough to understand that once again, she will not get lucky. Looking at the cute pout of her wife, Emily leans forwards for one last kiss before leaving.
"We will make the time for us, I promise…"
"But, when?"
"Tonight?"
"I can't. I'm flying to San Diego for the conference next week"
"You cannot fly on Sunday?"
"I guess I could change my flight. But, what if we get interrupted again?"
Emily chuckles when she sees the pretty pout of her wife who cannot wait to get some action. And, the mermaid would do anything to make her Queen happy. Maybe that's why she comes with a plan.
"MOM!"
"I'm coming Wayne!"
Wayne is constantly looking at his watch. As his dear mother, he's a very dedicated athlete. Following her steps since very little, he's also an as on the pool. There was not a day when Emily didn't bring him to the pool with her. The pressure in the shoulders to not disappoint her mother and coach was high, but, he wouldn't change it for anything else in this world, after all, it's thanks to swimming that he has the chance to spend more time with his favorite person in this world.
Do not take it wrong, he loves his blonde mother too. With Alison, the bond is different. While Emily brings the adventure of the sports, Alison brings another kind of adventure, the one that comes reading books. The blonde has always seen her love for the books as her most precious virtue, That's why she shares her passion with her kids as much as she can.
From enchanted forests to the love stories of Shakespeare. Wayne is sure that he has read more books than anyone else in his class. The love of the books came from very little because there were no better bed stories than those told by Alison DiLaurentis. The theatrical performance of her mother brought to life so many characters: pirates, princesses, warriors. Wayne can recall each one of those stories as if it was yesterday when Alison read it to them. Those moments before falling asleep, it will always be one of the most precious memories of Wayne and his siblings.
So, yeah, he's lucky, very lucky to have the opportunity to do so many different things with his two mothers. And, maybe that's why his mothers are everything to him, his entire world. But, they don't share everything with him because…
"Mom is having an affair!"
"WHAT?!"
All the DiLaurentis kids are shocked by what Wayne is saying after coming back from practice.
"You're insane, Wayne! There's no way that our Mom Emily would ever cheat on our mamma"
Just like Wayne, Enzo adores their brunette mother. Her integrity, her compassion, her tenderness and mostly her love for her family… that and more are the reason why Enzo thinks so high of Emily. And, that's why he will defend her against the accusations of his brother. He refuses to believe that the dear mermaid would do anything that could damage their family.
"Why are you saying such a thing, Wayne?"
Like always is Oliver the one who tries to not judge before hearing the whole story. That quality, he got it from Alison. Assuming the worst of everyone. Misunderstanding before asking, it has always been an Achilles heel that the blonde didn't want in her kids. And, it's easier said than done, but somehow, the blonde was able to at least, instill that good quality in Oliver.
"C'mon, Ollie, you cannot even considerate that what he's saying is true?!"
"Enzo, calm down, let him talk…"
The twins don't say a word, They just stay quiet and wait to hear the whole story because as impossible as it can be, there's no perfect marriage. Do not believe me? Just ask the Hastings, who are having a very atypical family reunion at the Brew.
"So, how is school?"
Veronica and Robin shrugs, not willing to share more than that. Spencer deeply sighs, she knew their 1st encounter, after the break between Blair & her, wouldn't be easier, but she was expecting at least that her daughter would look more happy to see her.
"Don't you miss me?"
It was supposed to be a mental question, but, her lips moved, her voice talked before Spencer could register what she was saying. The two teenage girls look at each other, not sure of what to say besides the fact that…
"How can we miss you if you were never present…?"
Spencer gasps, shocked, feeling offended, but when she tries to find an argument to defend herself and shut down those accusations, she finds none. While Blair always made time to be there for their recitals, their school events. For Spencer, Politics always came first.
How many birthdays did she miss because she was on a political mission far away from home? How much does she know about her daughter besides the fact they liked to watch Barney when they were 5. Yeah, before going to Washington, Spencer was a real mother, someone who took good care of her family. So, what changed then? Why couldn't she continue to be the same lovely mother?
Spencer doesn't know how or when she lost her way to be there for her daughters. She cannot change the past, but she can do something for their present and future and that's why she settles a meeting with Mona, her campaign manager, she announces her resolution.
"Spencer! You cannot step back now! We are a few weeks away from the elections! You cannot quit now that I'm so close to winning!"
"You? You mean 'we' are so close to win, right…?"
"Yeah, right. Yes, of course. We… we're so close to win so why are you quitting now, at the last minute?!"
"Because there's something more important than winning, Mona"
"What could be more important than winning the elections for governor?"
"Being a mom"
Mona looks shocked, from all the people she knows, she never expected this kind of answer from someone like Spencer Hasting. The calculating, smart ass that Spencer is, it's putting aside her own ambitions to be a better mother. Because, let's face it, at this point, even someone as Hanna Marin is a better mom than her…
(At the Rivers' house)
"Mom, I'm taking your coat!"
"Wait! Let me see you… no, I've a better option for you..."
Hanna looks up and down at her daughter. The teen is looking amazing, she has the same revel look than her parents and that's why Hanna tells her to grab her leather jacket.
"Damn! I've good taste!"
Hayley chuckles when she hears her mother, Hanna, complimenting herself for the choice of clothes.
"You even put perfume on you. That's unusual. Where are you going, Hayley?"
As any mother, she has a hint of why her dear daughter is putting so much attention on her look. Hayley is like Hanna, very transparent when it's about liking a boy. And, it's not a secret that from when she was very little, her crush on Enzo DiLaurentis has just gotten stronger over the years. That's why, the moment Enzo asked her to come as soon as possible, she didn't hesitate to dress nicely to meet him. So, yeah, she wants to look pretty for Enzo, there's no shame on that right? Hayley had no intentions to lie to her mother where she's going, but before she could say a word. Her little brother, who overheard her entire conversation on the phone, spills the beans.
"She has a date with Enzo, mom."
"Tobby! You little monster with a big mouth! I'm gonna catch you!"
The little Tobby Rivers run fast, he knows that if his big sister catches him, he will laugh himself to death with all the tickling that Hayley will do to him. The pursuit starts and Hanna just chuckles looking at her kids. It's funny till she hears the sound of broken glass.
"MOM?!"
"Oh, craps…"
Says Hanna as she has no idea of what her kids broke now. Yeah, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. And, if Hanna was a magnet for troubles, her kids got the same gene from her. And, talking about similarities, another liar has something in common with her kids. Ava & Selina Kahn are very similar to their mother Aria. They are a hopeless romantic.
Selina might be very little to understand what 'Love' really means, but that's not an obstacle to get into the field at her young age because when they are having a meal together in their house, she drops the news that…
"I've a boyfriend!"
Aria seems enchanted with the news while Noel is trying to digest the news.
"You have barely 10! How can you have a boyfriend before me, your big sis!"
Selina giggles as Ava looks more shocked with the fact that she has been left behind by her little sister. To be honest, it's not like she doesn't have options. She's beautiful and more than one boy has tried to win her heart. Sadly for all the boys of her class, her heart belongs to someone else. To the boy who makes her touch the stars with the most beautiful melodies that the piano could create.
That's right, Oliver DiLaurentis-Fields has more than a big fan on Ava, he has a girl in love with his music, his smile, his eyes and big heart. Oliver loves to play lovely songs and Ava would do anything to be his inspiration… only if he could be less dense and notice her. She doesn't lose hope that one day he will be able to look at her the same way she looks at him. So, she waits, she stays around and waits to be noticed for her crush. And, while she does that, her little sister is already getting her 1st boyfriend before her.
"I can't believe she has a boyfriend before me…"
"Oh honey, do not worry, I'm sure Ollie will fall for you before you notice it…"
Flushed by the acknowledgement that her feelings for Oliver are public information, Ava buries her face on her plate, trying to think of something else while her dear father almost choke for the second time in a row because he's just finding out that his two princesses are in love. He has nothing against Oliver, he likes the boy, as well as his family. But, like the doting father he's, he refuses to give his princesses to anyone.
"You're too little to think about having a boyfriend!"
"Noel, there's no age to fall in love. I recall that my first crush was when I was a baby"
Yeah, how she will ever forget her 1st love, Tommy, the boy who kindly picked up her pacifier.
"Oh, it's a big deal, Aria! We're talking about my babies!"
Aria chuckles, she cannot believe that the bad boy of Noel Kahn became a softy when it's about their kids. He's a doting parent, especially towards his daughters and maybe that's why he decides to tell a story to prove his point.
"So, you see, girls. Boys are wolves, so you need to keep your distance with them, and that's why you shouldn't have a boyfriend… maybe forever…"
"Noel, do not put wrong ideas on their heads"
Noel protests and says that he's just trying to protect his little girls. Ava is old enough to not buy the idea. But, Selina has a more impressive mind and If he wanted to scare her, his plan worked… maybe too well for his taste...
"Daddy, If boys are wolves... then you are a wolf too?"
"Huh?"
"You are a boy, Daddy. So, you were only raising me to eat us? Like Red Riding Hood?"
The little Seline is pouting, scared and Noel has no idea of how making it better. Especially when his little boy, Landon has the great idea of making wolf noises and scares even more Seline.
"Landon, stop it! You're scaring your sister!"
"But, it's funny"
It might be funny for the little boy, but not for Selina who starts crying.
"Wait, Selina, no, I…"
"You're terrible…"
Aria scolds Noel and then she calms down their daughter, explaining to her that Noel is just worried about her.
"So, boys are not wolves?"
"No, sweetie. And, your father might be a complete idiot most of the time, but, he loves you and he's not a wolf who will eat you... he's just being overprotective"
Selina smiles when she understands that his father is not bad, she's so happy that she wasted no time on jumping out of her chair to rush and hug him. Noel mumbles a 'thank you' to his wife, for saving the situation as always. And, Aria smiles, happy to see that she was a good mother. Who would have thought that she could be such a good mother? Definitely not her own mother who's right now reunited with the mothers of the other liars, for their book club.
Today, the meeting was hosted by Pam and all the old ladies arrived earlier, not because they were eager to talk about the book, but because they couldn't wait to taste the snacks that Pam Fields would offer today.
"OMG! Pam, these little Cranberry Brie Bites are delicious!"
Pam smiles when she receives so many compliments from Ella Montgomery. Even someone as snooty as Ashley Marin was amazed by the sophisticated snacks they got for their evening.
"You did all this by yourself, Pam. Or, Emily gave you a hand?"
"I'm her mother. I love my daughter and I'll always be on her side. But, Jesus! After all these years, how is she still so clueless in the kitchen?! So, no, Ashley, to answer your question, Emily didn't help me. It was Alison who happily gave me a hand to prepare everything"
Pam smiles, feeling so proud of her daughter in law who has become like a real daughter to her and Wayne. The blonde might have lost her parents at a young age, but she got two lovely parents when she married Emily. They love her so much that Pam doesn't stop warning Emily to improve her skills in the kitchen or someone might steal the blonde from her. But, the dear mermaid is still the same, unable to even cook an egg.
"Talking about skills, I propose a toast to our daughters, who unbelievably have exceeded our expectations as mothers!"
"Amen to that, Ella!"
Ashley raises her glass to what Ella Montgomery is saying. She's the 1st one to be surprised to see Hanna as a mother, and a good one to be honest. She didn't see that coming, just like Pam, who was nervous to never get grandchildren by Emily's preferences. But, look at her now, she has 5 wonderful grandkids and she couldn't be more happy.
All the moms of the liars seem very happy about the outcome of their lives and the way their daughters act as moms, all of them except for one…
"Please, speak for yourselves. I've no reason to toast. Spencer is far to win the trophy of mom of the year"
The old Hastings drinks her entire glass of wine in one shot. The mood changes, and, she apologizes for it, but, she has no idea of what she did wrong so Spencer would end like this.
"Veronica, easy there, we don't want to repeat the basement's event, right?"
All of them remember very well that day, when they drank too much and got stuck in the basement. Today, there's no -A tormenting their lives, but that doesn't mean that they are free of drama. Especially when Veronica asks them if they will really let her drink alone.
Ella, Pam and Ashley look at each other, if they have learned something from their kids, it's the importance of solidarity and sisterhood. So, no, they will not let Veronica drink alone, they will drink with her so much wine than when Wayne gets into the house, he finds 4 very tipsy moms.
"There you're husband!"
"Pam, you're drunk?"
"She's not drunk, Wayne! We're drunk! And, you should ask: are you drunk? And, the answer is: yes, we are pretty, pretty drunk!"
Wayne rolls his eyes when Ella tries to be the English teacher now. The last thing he was expecting when he arrived home was to deal with 4 drunk moms. And, just like he's not ready to deal with what is happening in his home, his grandchildren are also not ready to deal with the drama in their own house.
"Why would mom make a reservation at a hotel?"
"Because she's having an affair!"
Wayne Jr. is exasperated to have to repeat over and over what he witnesses during practice. He was just getting out of the showers when he overheard his mom, Emily, speaking on the phone with someone, looking very happy and mysterious as she was talking about a romantic getaway, away from home tonight. They all know that Alison is flying to San Diego, so the only logical conclusion is that the faithful mermaid is doing the nasty with someone else.
"I can't believe this is happening! Does this mean they will get a divorce and we will not be a happy family anymore?!"
Alice bursts into tears, she's happy with the family she got, even if she and her twin doesn't tag alone, it breaks her heart to think this is over, just like the marriage of their moms. Oliver hugs Alice, trying to calm down. Betty doesn't say a thing, it's not like she doesn't have an opinion, but she finds it hard to believe that her lovely mother would be able to do such a scheme. Normally, it's her the one scheming in the family.
Just like Betty is still refusing to believe Emily's betrayal, Enzo is very determined to show Wayne how wrong he's. And, that's why he asked Hayley to come to see him immediately, because just like she got the tacky language of her mother, Hanna. She got the hacker skills from her father too.
What a disappointment Hayley Rivers gets when she realizes that the calling, it wasn't a date. She tries to hide it, but it's obvious she looks sad.
"Hayley, are you okay? If, what I'm asking you to do, it makes you uncomfortable, you don't have to do it, I will understand"
The blonde appreciates the concern of Enzo, she ensures him that she's okay, even if she's not because she was really thrilled with the idea of Enzo finally asking her out. Trying to think of something else, she puts her skills on motion, so they can track the dear mermaid.
*** Wayne's narrative (voice-over) ***
Assumptions are dangerous things. Nothing is what it seems to be. And, jumping to conclusions might cause you more traumas than what you think…
"Are we sure we want to do this?"
Oliver asks as they arrive at Lost Woods Resort. This place looks like the perfect place for secret encounters, what just makes them believe more that Emily is really being unfaithful.
"Hayley got us the exact coordinates and with the GPS on my phone, we will know exactly in what room she's"
Enzo was the 1st one to defend the brunette but when Hayley tracked Emily here, he's more than ready to confront her and ask her why she should do such a thing. The triplets are hesitating to move, they are afraid of what they will find, especially because they know how much Alison loves their mom. This will kill her, they are sure of that and they don't know if they will be ready for that. Enzo, Wayne and Oliver are exchanging looks, waiting to see who decides to lead when…
"OMG! For lord sake! Are we going to do this or what?!"
Betty has no patience at all and she has never been good at following others' lead, she prefers always to be the one going first, so she steps out of the car, pushing the others to move behind her.
"Betty! Wait for us!"
They quietly sneak into the hotel without being noticed. Neither of them was sure what they would do once they would get close to the room, but when they hear the loud moans coming from the room. A big outrage overwhelmed their senses and without thinking it, they tore down the door.
"WHAT THE HELL?!"
Yells Alison when she sees all her kids there. As the blonde is shocked to see them here, Wayne is more shocked to find her here, too.
"Mamma?! OMG! My eyes!"
The kids were ready to face anything except for seeing their moms, completely naked in a very, very challenging position.
"Wow, mom is really flexible!"
"OMG! Ollie, shut up!"
As their children are covering their eyes, trying to find a way to erase their memories so they could forget what they just saw, Emily & Alison do their best to put clothes on.
"How did you find us?!"
The mermaid asks and the kids tell the entire story...
"Hahaha! I can't believe you thought your mom was cheating on me! I mean, c'mon! Don't you see how gorgeous I'm?!"
Everyone rolls their eyes when the blonde brags about her beauty. Her comment might sound cocky and arrogant, but, there's no doubt that she's the most beautiful woman that Emily has ever seen. No one compares to Alison, no one! So, Emily doesn't understand how their kids would ever think she had eyes for someone else.
"Anyway, Ali. The point is not if you're hot or not. The point is that our kids infringed a line when they decided to track my phone!"
Emily has never liked to be the bad cop, but she's really pissed that their own kids went this far. She didn't raise them to do this kind of act, jumping to conclusions without directly asking is what brought so many problems to her & her friends. So, yeah, she doesn't want her kids to make the same mistakes.
"We are grounded, isn't it?"
Both moms don't reply, they just raise an eyebrow and, the kids know it's silly to ask when they know already the answer.
*** Wayne's narrative (voice-over) ***
Yeah, moms are really something, always teaching us a lesson. And from all the lessons I'll get from them, the one me and my siblings will never forget, it's the one about True Love...
