"So I got some gossip for you." Punk nodded, standing in the kitchen whilst AJ was sat reading her book with a cup of coffee and a cookie, having been waiting on her husband getting home from his chat with his father.

"Go on." AJ smiled, intrigued, sitting her book down as she drew one of her knees up to her chest.

"I think I know why Hamilton always bugged me and Dean so much." Punk nodded to her.

"Why?" AJ questioned.

"He dated my mom first." Punk nodded as AJ gasped.

"No." AJ looked at him as he nodded.

"Yes." Punk said, "Yeah, they dated for a while and then… she obviously met my dad through him and hit it off better with him."

"No kidding." AJ raised her eyebrows, "So that's why he was always so bitter?"

"Probably, yeah." Punk said, "He didn't get the girl. Blamed my dad for how my mom ended up turning out." He nodded.

"Man, it's hard to imagine that man caring about anything." AJ shook her head as Punk nodded, "What else did you find out?"

"Nothing too revealing. I got into a little bit of detail about Rio with him. Sort of gave him the history." Punk said as AJ nodded, "It wasn't so bad. I don't know why I was freaking out so much about it."

"I told you." AJ smiled, "And I bet it felt kinda good to hear that stuff that you've never known before."

"It did actually. It helps hearing that my dad actually cared about my mom. I think he misses her." Punk nodded.

"Well yeah, I bet." AJ sighed, "I'm proud of you." She smiled, reaching out and squeezing his hand, "My brave boy." She smiled as he rolled his eyes.

"I was thinking we could invite him to the Halloween party." Punk nodded.

"Yeah, well as long as he dresses up." AJ nodded.

"He won't dress up." Punk scoffed.

"Hey, you know the rules. You were the one who made them. No costume, no entry." AJ shrugged as Punk rolled his eyes.

"What the hell is he gonna dress up as?" Punk shook his head.

"I'm sure he'll come up with something." AJ said, "Thea said she's gonna invite Lucia and her husband." She nodded.

"That's a good idea." Punk said, "We're talking about my dad not having a costume, I don't even have one." Punk shook his head.

"You got some time." AJ assured him.

"I think Jude grilled Cassie the other day on the phone." Punk nodded as AJ looked at him.

"For what?" AJ shook her head.

"Well I think when I said to Jude that Thea and Cassie were busy the other day and that I couldn't talk to them, I think she got mad and told Cassie off." Punk said.

"Well that's not very fair. Thea was working and… Theo's mother had just broken her hip. It wasn't their fault." AJ shrugged.

"I know that but… you know Jude can be a little paranoid sometimes." Punk said, "Anyway, Cassie spoke with me tonight about it. She was also doing a terrible job of hiding a horrific hangover." He nodded as AJ chuckled.

"Jude is just a worrier. She was probably just worried that you didn't get a chance to talk to someone." AJ said as Punk nodded.

"Is she coming at Halloween?" Punk asked her.

"As far as I know." AJ nodded, watching as he sat down at the table across from her.

"Can I have a bit of that?" Punk asked, eyeing up some of the cookie on the plate as AJ smiled a little.

"Go on." AJ nodded as he smiled happily, taking some of the cookie.

"Ok, pyjamas on and teeth brushed, please." Thea called to her children as she walked upstairs with a laundry basket, reaching her own bedroom to begin folding as she heard Sofia running into the room.

"Mommy, can I show you what I learned at gymnastics?" Sofia asked as Thea looked over.

"Yeah, go on then." Thea nodded, watching as Sofia done a cartwheel and forward roll, "Wow, baby. That's so good." She smiled as Sofia nodded, proud of herself as she stood back up.

"Thanks." Sofia smiled.

"Ok, pyjamas on and teeth brushed." Thea nodded to her.

"Ok." Sofia ran off out of the room to go get her pyjamas on and brush her teeth.

Thea continued folding laundry up, watching as Dominic came into the room.

"Hey, I'll do that." Dominic said, moving her over by the hips as she smiled.

"I don't mind." Thea assured him.

"Sit." Dominic nodded as she smiled.

"I'll lie, actually." Thea groaned, lying down on their bed on top of the covers, "I don't know what's wrong with me today. I just feel totally wiped out." She said tiredly, "Normally I feel good on my days off."

"It's the weeks work catching up to you." Dominic nodded, folding up the laundry into the different piles, "How's the kids been today?" He asked her.

"Yeah, they were fine. Sofia went to gymnastics and James had a birthday party so mama got a few hours to herself." She nodded.

"Nice." Dominic smiled.

"Finally found that dress I was looking for to give back to Cassie, so I dropped that off to her. She had what looked like the worst hangover ever. And I know hangovers." Thea nodded.

"Yeah? She out last night?" Dominic asked.

"Yeah, with Theo's brother I think." Thea said, "After I picked the kids up I just… I felt like I'd just done a shift at the hospital. I'm just so tired." She shook her head tiredly, massaging her temple.

"Take an early night." Dominic nodded, "I'll sort the kids."

"You're just home from work." Thea shook her head, "I can get them."

"No, you stay there, or run yourself a bath and take the night to yourself." He encouraged as Thea smiled, watching as he left the bedroom to go put the kids to bed. It didn't take long before she fell asleep.

"Don't stop." AJ whispered, lying in bed, legs wrapped around her husband as he thrust into her on top, kissing her neck as she pulled on his hair at the back of his head, biting her lip as she let herself go with him.

"Fuck." Punk moaned in her ear, continuing to thrust into her, beginning to hear a knock at their door which slowed Punk down, "What was that?" He asked her.

"What was what?" AJ gasped, "What are you doing?" She scoffed, "Don't stop." She pleaded as Punk smiled, thrusting back into her as there was another knock at the door.

"Fucking hell." Punk said angrily as AJ lifted her head.

"Who the hell is that?" AJ shook her head as Punk pulled out of her, getting off the bed and walking over to the window.

"I don't know. I can't see." Punk said, "Can you go check?" He asked her as she nodded, getting out of bed, putting on some shorts and t-shirt along with her bathrobe.

She walked down the stairs, approaching the door and opening it up slowly where she saw Dean standing.

"Oh, what?" AJ rolled her eyes, watching him walk into the house.

"Is it a bad time?" Dean asked her.

"Little bit, yeah." AJ nodded honestly, "What's up?"

"I just wanted to talk to Phil about our dad." Dean nodded to her.

"Right now? It's like 2am." AJ scoffed.

"I know, I was out at Rico's and… had a couple drinks, got me thinking." Dean nodded to her, "By the way, your daughter was drunk as hell last night apparently. Rico's words not mine." He put his hands up.

"Yeah, she was out with Theo. Night off." AJ nodded, "Could you maybe come back in the morning or something?"

"Oh, was I interrupting?" Dean asked.

"Yeah, kinda." AJ nodded discretely.

"Can I go make a sandwich first?" Dean nodded, walking past her and into the kitchen as AJ rolled her eyes.

She took off running up the stairs, bursting into the bedroom, "Your brother is drunk downstairs." She nodded as Punk lay on the bed, rolling his eyes.

"Alright alright. Let me sort myself out first." Punk shook his head, getting off the bed and going into the bathroom as AJ sat down on the edge of the bed.

"He wants to talk about Dan." AJ said as Punk eventually came out of the bathroom with some clothes on.

"Of course he wants to talk about him when he's drunk." Punk shook his head, "This could take a while." He nodded to her.

"It's fine. I'll take care of myself." She shrugged as Punk just smiled, shaking his head as he left their bedroom, closing the door over and heading downstairs, walking into the kitchen where Dean was standing making a sandwich.

He wasn't sure if it was down to the way they had grown up. At times being the only person the other had, but home was wherever the other was.

"Pit stop before you go home?" Punk asked as Dean nodded.

"Yeah, I'm hungry as hell." Dean said, "Making my stoner sandwich."

"Where you put everything that's in the fridge onto the sandwich?" Punk remembered.

"Yup." Dean smiled proudly, "Renee loses her mind when I do it."

"So you come here and make it?" Punk said as Dean nodded, "April said you wanted to talk about dad." He said, "Wish you'd pick a reasonable time to have these conversations. I got work in the morning."

"Oh, cause I interrupted your sleep?" Dean raised a brow as Punk scoffed.

"That's… not the point." Punk waved his hand, taking a seat at the table, "What's up?" He asked.

"How did it go with him? I know you were planning to speak with him tonight." Dean said.

"You know… it wasn't so bad." Punk assured him, "Actually I think it was less awkward just talking to him one and one than what it is when everyone else is around. I felt like I could just… ask him what I wanted to know and not feel guilty or weird about it."

"What'd you ask him?" Dean wondered, sitting down across from him.

It was how their relationship always worked. Punk would test the waters and report back to Dean. It'd been that way since they were children. Dean would force Punk to go check on their mother, to make sure it was safe to go see her or ask for her help for something. Their dynamic had carried over into adult life and never really left them.

"Just stuff about him as a person. And he asked me things too." Punk nodded, "You wanna hear something kinda scandalous? April popped at it." He nodded.

"Always." Dean nodded, intrigued.

"Think I found out why Hamilton gave us such a hard time growing up." Punk said, "He dated mom first and dad stole her off him." He nodded.

"Shut the fuck up." Dean scoffed.

"I'm serious." Punk laughed.

"Our crazy ass mother and that… boring wet mop?" Dean questioned.

"Well obviously they were younger and… it didn't work out." Punk said, "Dad won her over and lone behold… the bitter brother takes out his frustrations on everyone around him." He nodded.

"Damn." Dean nodded to himself, "That's juicy."

"I know." Punk said, "He also talked to me about being on drugs and… how he actually can't remember me being born because he was so out of it." Punk nodded, "And that mom more or less sent him away if he couldn't get his shit together."

"So weird finding all of this out." Dean said, "Growing up and thinking that we just had a junkie mom and a deadbeat dad. And that's all I thought of it."

"Well they both never got round to telling us the truth, not until later on in life." Punk shrugged, "And I know it can be hard trying to understand it. Overwhelming even. But I'm already feeling a million times better just by talking to dad."

"I don't know." Dean shook his head.

"He gave me this." Punk said, standing up and taking a picture from under some mail, walking back over to the table and sitting down, sliding it along as Dean took the picture.

"Looks like…" Dean looked at the picture.

"A family?" Punk nodded as Dean looked at the picture of the four of them. He was only a baby, Punk just one with Sam and Dan in the picture too.

"Yeah." Dean said quietly.

"I think April is right. Story of my life, I know." Punk nodded, "But life is really short, and I know we might never have a deep bond with dad but… I never thought I had any kind of deep bond with mom and then she died and it kinda… hurt, I guess." Punk looked at him, "I don't know about you-"

"Yeah, I get it." Dean nodded, "I guess we've just never had to deal with something like this. Our backs were always up against the wall. I kinda forgot how to be… nice to people." He shook his head.

"You got a wife and two girls. You know how to be nice." Punk smiled a little.

"They're different. Whole other level they are." Dean nodded to himself as Punk smiled.

"It's ok if it takes a bit of time for you. It's still taking some time for me too." Punk nodded to him, "And you know I'm always here for you. That… won't ever change." He said as Dean nodded.

"Yeah, never has." Dean nodded to him as Punk smiled.
