It was still dark when Fitz opened his eyes. Her leg was still over his. Going without sex for six months and too much scotch made him act without thinking. She was going to slap him or beg him to keep going. Fitz raised her leg higher and slipped inside his wife. Olivia gasped and opened her eyes. She put a hand on his stomach.
"Does it hurt?"
"Too deep."
"I thought having babies would make you wider."
"I had a c-section. I didn't push out any babies."
He moaned, "Are you going to make me wait a few more weeks?"
"No, you don't have to pull out."
"I know that. You can't have any unplanned pregnancies anymore."
Olivia looked at him and laughed, "You should have seen your face when I told you I was pregnant."
"You're laughing at me?" Fitz said, going deeper.
"Are you trying to hurt me?"
Fitz held her leg over his arm. They were both on their side. She wasn't going anywhere.
"We should have all of our conversations like this." He said, kissing her.
"You're drunk. We can't have a serious conversation."
"I'm going to start seeing a therapist again. I want you to come with me."
"You think I need therapy? I had a psychologist when you left. I don't need a mental health professional."
Fitz kissed her again and tried to hold back his orgasm.
"We need therapy."
Olivia pressed her forehead to his and bit her lip. She was getting close. Her voice trembled when she spoke.
"Okay, I'll go with you."
He couldn't hold back any longer when Olivia clenched him and moaned into his lips. He took a few seconds to slow his breathing.
"Thank you."
"Goodnight Fitz."
He let go of her leg and pulled the sheets back. He was very hot. The air conditioner was still on. He couldn't lower the temperature because he didn't want the babies and Karen to be cold. Olivia closed her eyes.
A few hours later, Olivia sat Savannah and Sabastian on either side of Fitz pillow. They toppled over laughing. Their faces pressed against his. Saliva dripped from their chins and onto Fitz cheeks. Olivia lifted Serenity over his nose. She needed a diaper change.
"Livvie you stink." He said, without opening his eyes. "Is that your breath?"
Olivia sat Serenity on his nose. He coughed and opened his eyes. Olivia laughed and pulled the baby back.
"That is a cure for a hangover."
He wiped his wet cheeks. There was a baby on each side. Little wet hands hit his mouth and saliva fell on his nose.
"Baby attack!" Olivia said, putting Serenity on his face again. "Say change my diaper daddy!" Olivia cooed.
Fitz moved Serenity and covered his face with his hands. Olivia put the babies in their stroller. It was the easiest way to move all of them at the same time.
"I'm going to drop them off in the nursery and then I'm cooking breakfast."
Fitz groaned. He wasn't ready to watch the babies.
Olivia thought about their conversation. "Do you want to go for a walk?"
"Yeah."
"Okay, Karen is already downstairs. Change Serenity, and we can go for a walk."
