The Beginnings of a new life

Chapter 103th

Alicia locking the front door of Gibbs house headed for the vehicle parked in front after all of the ruckus earlier with the entire neighborhood. Placing her go bag into the back of her before moving off to head for the safe house on the outskirts of Alexandria, Virginia.

One thing for sure it had gotten colder with the winter season and hopefully there won't be any big winter snow storms?

Special Agent Gibbs had been moved to ICU private room after being operated on by Doctor Taft and Doctor Gilbert having used once again with the laser to be a big hit with the gallery up above. The nurses had been checking their patient were hooked up with the wires to keep track of his heart, blood pressure and oxygen levels up above his bed.

Doctor Came in after cleaning up in the scrub room to see if everything was set. Looking up at the computer screen. His blood pressure was still a little low to be expected for the most part.

"Yes, Doctor." Supervisory nurse Judith Anderson needed to say with asking on how much does he want the morphine levels to be.

"Maximum levels for now Judith until I decide either way. Understand?" he said with rubbing the back of his neck from the stress of being tired.

"I will let everyone else know as well Doctor Taft." she responded with writing a note on the patient's medical chart.

Taft looking over at his friend. He began to shake his head once again having to be pissed with his friend getting injured. "If you need me I will be in my office trying to get some rest. My wife called wanting to know on what exactly happened with Gibbs."

"Good luck with that Doctor." she says with watching the screen...

He walked out to walk down the hall to the elevator for his office.

Alicia finally arrived at the safe house after being escorted by the security guard this time since he was now off duty. She had thanked him gracefully for bringing her over to the quarters. She knocked on the door with Loreile opening it with Alicia handing her back the keys so that she is able to stay by her husband's side once again.

"Anything I should know about Loreile?" she needed to know...

"Whatever you do Alicia? Please don't tell the boys about their father having been shot. Since they had spoken with him earlier via WEBCAM?" She pleaded for the most part...

"I will be sure not to. Just tell them that I needed to stay with daddy for something important until we are ready to tell them the truth." Alicia brought in her go bag in order to check on the boys before sleeping herself. "Good luck Loreile. I do hope that all is well with one Leroy Jethro Gibbs?"

"Thanks." She had placed on her black coat, hat and gloves to be really cold as hell. She had made sure that she had grabbed her purple purse with all of the essentials.

Sometime later reaching the hospital underground parking lot. Loreile needed to get closer to the elevator so not to be able to walk too far. She was exhausted and her entire body felt like she was ready to fall down...

Reaching the eighth floor heading for the security area to have the guard to give her a pass in order to visit her husband. She needed to stop off at the nurses station to find out which room her husband is in at this time. However as it worked out Doctor Cyril Taft having come from his room after making sure all was in order.

He sees Gibbs arriving from down the hall. He smiled briefly to greet her with a hug before breaking it off. "Cyril how is my husband doing?" she asked with grave concern with her nervous demeanor.

"Jethro is going to be fine with removing the bullet fragments using the laser. He's going to be in pain when he wakes soon. And why I am now giving him the maximum dosage of morphine for now."

"Thank you doctor for taking care of my husband once again?"Loreile needed to say. Though she knows that he was trying to be slightly sarcasm with his tone of voice. However nothing came forward out of his mouth for now. She had noticed on just how tired he was looking as with herself. "Can I see him Cyril?"

"Go ahead. Though I did mention that he was going to be waking soon. So when he does get him talking with you?" Doc said...

"Always." she says with walking away to head for his room.

Moments later...

She walked into his room as she looks up at the computer terminal giving her the vitals of her husband. Everything had looked good accept for his blood pressure to be slightly lower.

Walking over to the bed she begins to talk with him to help with bringing him awake. Doctor Taft had mention that it was going to be soon.

"Jethro I am here with you. It's Loreile I am to keep you company once more. Why is it always that I am the one to come and see you in the hospital? She says as part of a joke.

She pulled up one of those ugly green chairs to sit down with her feet swelling on her.

She stayed quiet for a few moments watching his sleeping form. She closed her eyes for a moment trying to relax slightly. When all of a sudden she heard a moan escaping from her husband's mouth. "Jethro come on you can do it again. Wake up those beautiful crystal blue eyes of yours that I love so much?" she smiled with looking up at the vitals once more...She thought about giving him a kiss on his lips to wake him sooner than later...
