Mellie walked Karen to Olivia's car with the baby on her hip.

"Hi, did you have fun?"

"Yeah, can I stay here the whole week?"

"You have school."

"Mellie can take me to school."

"I can?"

Olivia smiled at Mellie "I guess you can."

A whole week of not getting up early, getting the babies fed and in the car before the bell rang at Karen's school.

Mellie was not smiling. "I have a lot of work this week. Marcus is in New York. I can't balance you and Kelly and my classes."

Karen wrapped her arms around Mellie's waist and looked up at her. "I want to stay with you this week. Let Kelly stay with mom."

"What?" Olivia said.

Mellie smiled. A week without a baby. She could study. "Okay, we can do that."

Mellie opened the car door and put Kelly in the middle car seat.

"Karen can you get the diaper bag?"

"Okay."

"I'm not keeping Kelly a whole week."

"Yes you are." Mellie said, closing the car door.

"Kelly is your responsibility."

"And Karen is your responsibility. You want a break from getting up early, and I need to study without a baby on my hip."

"I don't like this." Olivia said.

"Karen or Kelly. I'm not keeping both."

Olivia turned around and looked at Kelly in her baby's car seat. She took her pacifier out and offered it to Olivia.

"Fine, I'll keep Kelly."

"Here's the diaper bag. I'll call you later mom."

Olivia made sure Kelly was secure in the car seat before leaving the driveway. Fitz looked at her confused when he didn't see Karen. The babies were in their playpen. Olivia put Kelly down next to them.

"Where's Karen?"

"She's staying with Mellie this week. I'm keeping Kelly."

"Okay."

"Is that all you have to say?"

"I'm not getting in the middle of it."

"Fine, let's get the babies to sleep, so we can sleep."

"Okay Livvie."
