Hey guys! The chaos begins I hope you all enjoy lol, I enjoyed writing this chapter, Naruto loses her shit completely and she does act a bit assholish because she's panicked and upset and angry, just warning you. Also Kurama's protective too so yay.

Naruto landed in an unfamiliar building-and she looked around frantically, her eyes sliding to a photograph on a shelf.

It was a picture of two people, younger, perhaps eleven or so, one was familiar, with her mint hair and orange eyes, and the other was a boy with long straight dark hair.

This was Fu's home then. Naruto looked away from the photo, paling at the sight of her Hirashin kunai embedded in the wooden floor, it was pinning a scrap of paper to the floor, and Naruto surged forward, yanking the kunai from the floor and picking up the paper with shaking fingers.

She dropped to her knees, eyes scanning over the words.

Hello Naruto,

Oh, and congratulations on your happy news, I hope Rin-chan is happy. I'll be seeing you both very very soon to take what I need. Tell her not to worry. She doesn't understand yet but when the time comes she will. I will make the perfect world, one of peace. Then I'll have her again, we'll be happy again.

I am sorry for not being here, I'm afraid I had to take your little friend, she has something that I need, though I admit I was surprised how easy it was too, she put up quite the fight and yet not one person even heard. Truly my heart breaks for the fate of Jinchuriki who aren't as lucky as you and Rin-chan.

If you want her back then come to the Valley of the End once you're finished with Gaara-kun.

You should be grateful Naruto-chan, I was kind enough to send a team I know you could stop.

There was no name, but there was a familiar symbol stamped at the bottom of the note.

A Uchiha.

Naruto's fingers curled into the note as she staggered to her feet, heart pounding in her chest, blood roaring in her ears.

"Where are they Kurama."

"I don't know."

There was panic in Kurama's voice, "He's got her somewhere I can't sense Naruto-"

"That's not possible."

"Naruto-chan I can't sense them."

And Naruto knew Kurama wasn't lying, she knew it, but she hated it. She needed to find them, needed to save Fu. Kami how had Obito even gotten to her? Surely she shouldn't have been alone with the Akatsuki around?

"Brat you know you're not being rational-"

"She should have been being guarded."

"You're not being guarded-"

"That's different!"

"Brat you need to calm down."

"No!"

Naruto stormed out of the little house, uncaring of the looks of shock and fear she got from people who'd been walking past.

"Where's your leader?" she demanded, "Where?"

"You-w-who are you?" it was a woman who answered, dark hair, with dark eyes and a pale face, looking very nervous.

"Where is your leader? Why was Fu left alone?"

"T-the freak?" the woman stuttered, "Why would anyone want to be with her-"

"She's been taken." Naruto snarled the words, "She's been taken-" she heard one villager, an old man mutter;

"Good riddance-"

"What did you just say?" Naruto demanded hotly, whirling on him.

"She was dangerous." the man's voice was firm, "Shibuki-sama should have never kept her in the village." and Naruto looked around-there were a few people nodding at the mans words, agreeing with him, and not a single one of them was speaking up in Fu's defense.

She thought about Fu, the bright bubbly girl, she was even more of motormouth than Naruto could be, desperate for friends, for connections.
Naruto might have been like that had things been different, might have clung to every shred of affection like a lifeline.

Fu was in danger, she could already be having Chomei extracted and not a single person around her cared.

Naruto could feel the rage flooding through her, feel the fury and she reached out for Kurama's chakra-only to find that Kurama was pulling back, pulling away, blocking her from grabbing it.

"Kurama what the fuck are you doing?"

"Brat you need to calm down. Now."

"No, no I need to make them pay-"

"Naruto you're upset and angry-"

"Kurama give me your chakra! I'll make them pay and then I'll go to the Valley of the End!"

"No!"

And then Kurama did something he'd never done before. He seized control of Naruto's body, Hirashining them both to Konoha, to the monument, and Naruto snarled as she stumbled when Kurama released control.

"How dare you!"

"I'm stopping you from making a terrible mistake brat-"

"They don't care! Fu-chan is gone and they don't care! I need to go back and make them care and then I need to rescue her!"

Naruto was yanked into their mindscape, and Kurama's tail curled around her tightly, trapping her arms to her side and holding her in place.

"Brat stop it!"

"No! No they-I won't!"

"Naruto-"

"She's my friend! She's my friend and she's gone and they don't care! Give me your Chakra and let me go back there!"

"No! No you are angry and hurting and I don't want you to do anything that you regret later-"

"Oh I won't regret it-"

"You're angry! We agreed when you were younger that anger and my chakra aren't a good combination, you need to calm down brat!"

"This coming from you Mr let's tear down Konoha."

"You're not going to make me angry enough to let you use my chakra!" Kurama's voice was infuriatingly reasonable, "You're hurt and angry and I understand but I am not letting you do this! I don't want to lose you, not to your own guilt over wiping out a bunch of idiots or to that bastard of a Uchiha! He's trying to trick you, you have to know that!"

"Maybe I should just take your chakra if you're not going to help me!" Naruto reached out for it, and Kurama growled lowly.

"Brat you're out of control-"

"She's gone! She's gone and she could be dying!" Naruto screamed the words, struggling in Kurama's grip, the tail tightening around her.
"And tearing down her village will help how? And going straight into his trap will help how?" Kurama paused, pulling a face, "Ugh, I can't believe you're forcing me to be the reasonable one right now."

"I don't want you to be reasonable I want you to let me-"

"NO!" the roar was loud, and Naruto's mouth snapped shut at the force of it, stunned into silence.

"No." the word was softer this time, and Kurama's tight grip on her softened somewhat, turned less constricting and more comforting. "Naruto-chan I am sorry, I really am but we both know you'll regret it if you use my Chakra and go on a rampage in Taki, even if they have failed Fu-san."

Naruto lashed out quickly, taking advantage of the way Kurama had softened somewhat.

She knew deep down that she'd thrown rationality out of the window, that she'd feel guilty as hell when this was over, but she snatched at Kurama's chakra, and she felt his shock as she started pull, and he let out an angry rumble.

"Naruto don't you dare." he was pulling too, trying to pull his Chakra away from her, "I'm not going to let you do anything stupid!"

"I won't go after Taki then! But I need to go to the Valley of the End!"

"Do you want to step right into his trap?" Kurama demanded furiously, "I don't want to lose you!"

"I won't let him take you but I need to try and rescue Fu."

"Naruto-chan I know you're upset and I'm not going to get angry at you because I get it but you need to think-"

"No! No I need to be there! I need to be there because she's in danger and I promised I'd come for her! I promised I'd come I can't abandon her now-"

"Naruto-chan!" Kurama and Naruto were both pulling at his Chakra, Kurama bracing himself, leaning backwards, pulling as hard as he could, and Naruto was pulling two, gripping the glowing red chakra that she was pulling.

She did feel guilty-she'd owe Kurama an apology after this, but she had to. She had to try and save Fu. What else was she supposed to do?

"Just give me your chakra! We're supposed to be a team!" Naruto was almost screaming the words, her eyes filling with furious tears, "Do you want
Fu to die?"

"Naruto you can't honestly think he'll be there with her?" Kurama demanded, "You're not stupid! Please think kit!"

"He has her! He has her I have to help her!" Naruto was outright screaming now, tugging harder and harder but Kurama wasn't budging, one of his tails were lashing out, swiping her legs out from under her, though somehow she did manage to keep her grip on the Chakra, even if it loosened slightly.

"STOP IT!" Kurama roared the words, "Naruto listen to me for Kami's sake just listen!"

"NO!" Naruto felt the tears streaming down her cheeks, "PLEASE! PLEASE Kurama!" she was sobbing, "Help me! Please I need to help her!"

"It's a trap! Kit it's a trap he won't have her there you know that." there was pain in Kurama's voice, pain at seeing Naruto so distraught. He might not always be open about his emotions but he did love Naruto, he didn't enjoy her suffering as he might have Mito or Kushina. She was the first Jinchuriki who had cared for him, who treated him as a sentient being rather than a weapon, he knew her better than almost anyone, which was probably the sole reason he wasn't more angry, because he knew that it was fear and guilt and terror spurring her rather than a selfish desire for power.

"I hate you! I hate you just help me please!" the screaming was even louder, and she was sobbing violently, her vision going blurry.

"I am helping you." Kurama's voice was achingly gentle, even though he was still struggling, still pulling in their tug of war for his chakra.

"No! No you're not letting me save Fu-"

"She won't be there Naruto-chan you know that! You know she won't! Obito is trying to lure you in to hurt you!"

"I have to try! I have to-"

"Going there won't help!"
"I HAVE TO!" Naruto screamed, screwing her eyes shut as she did, which was why she didn't see the sudden new arrival, though she sensed the sudden flare of chakra, new and unfamiliar, and yet... there was something about it that was familiar at the same time.

"Kyubi-" the voice was female, loud and annoyed, and Kurama's voice was slightly panicked when he responded.

"Wait! Uzumaki don't interfere!"

"I'm going to help my dau-"

"I'm stopping her from getting herself killed!"

"Wait what?"

And Naruto released Kurama's chakra in the shock. Uzumaki. And the voice had been about to say daughter hadn't it?

Naruto wiped the tears from her eyes frantically as Kurama spoke again.

"Your daughter was about to run head first into an obvious trap! Honestly I'm beginning to think that reckless stupidity is a trait she inherited from you and the Namikaze idiot, rushing out right after I was extracted from you to try and help your fool of a husband seal me again."

"That's not fair." Naruto managed to forced the words out, blinking rapidly until her vision was cleared, and her gaze focused on the woman stood between her and Kurama.

She was beautiful, her hair was as straight as Naruto knew her own was, and long too, but it was a brilliant shade of red that reminded the blonde of Karin. She was paler than Naruto too, with violet eyes, but the shapes of their faces were the same.

There wasn't even a question, Naruto knew who the woman was without even having to voice it, would know her anywhere, and Naruto had to stop herself from bursting into tears again as those eyes turned to focus on her, and she saw the womans expression go incredibly soft, concerned and gentle.

"Hello Naruto-chan."

Naruto's throat felt dry, but she managed to swallow hard and force out the words.

"Hi mom."
