Perma PKO was requested by jalenparker2005
PKO panted as he re-entered the world. "I'm…you're…we…I'm still here. Is this my wish…?" He closed his eyes. Soon everything would be just fine. As he opened his eyes again, he stared at the ceiling above him. He was back in the bodega.
"KO? You…okay?" Enid asked. "Er…PKO I mean?"
He sat up, panting. "ENID!" He gripped her tight.
"Gah! KO! You're on my neck!"
"Woah bro. You alright?" Rad asked as Dendy looked over and tilted her head.
"I'm…I'm…" PKO began to tear up a bit, while laughing and letting go of Enid.
"Are you alright?" Dendy asked again.
"Yeah. Everything's perfect." PKO nodded
Okay, maybe not everything was perfect. "Enid! Why do you have to go?" PKO cried. Despite him trying to reassure Enid that he was fine, enough prodding made him and Rad break down.
"Aw, KO. I…need to find out who I am. Staying stagnant will make me only wish I went out. If I go out now, I'll have less regrets."
"But I'll have regrets missing you!"
"Aww, little buddy…one final hug okay?" Enid gave PKO a tight squeeze, and PKO didn't want to let go, but he did sniffling as Enid waved goodbye. PKO wiped his eyes and did the same.
"So, you just staying like that?" Rad asked again.
"Yes Rad."
"You sure? Because the last few times you were PKO you had a bit of trouble with energy."
"Rad, I promise I'm fine."
"…okay little buddy."
"You know, you spend a lot of time with Dendy." A kid, Bobo, from KO's class remarked.
"She's my friend."
"Yeah, quite the big relationship there." He smirked.
PKO gave a glare to the werebear, causing him to flee. PKO then let out a sigh. He knew of old stories where heroes working side-by-side fell in love, but Dendy wasn't one for romance. He shook his head. No what he meant was he wasn't in love with her. …right?
PKO watched as Dendy worked in her lab. Despite the fact that TKO would try to dissociate from PKO while in here, it became less frequent as PKO simply watched her tinker away. He shook his head again.
"Is there something wrong, PKO?"
PKO smiled at her. She immediately began calling him by his new name. Even faster than his mommy. And she didn't leave, like Rad or Enid. "Dendy, I…I like you."
"You are a good friend as well, PKO."
PKO looked back to the ground and got off of the table he was sitting on. "Is your new machine ready?"
"Dendy, I really like you." PKO told his girlfriend.
"I know." She blushed, getting ready for the embarrassing story to be told again.
"Remember back in middle-school how you totally friendzoned me?"
"Do you have to remind me every time?"
"You were the one who asked me out later that month!" PKO laughed and hugged her.
