March 10

That last snowfall and everything with the snow demons seemed to mark the end of winter here. Ever since the snow melted it's been getting steadily warmer. The river is unfrozen, the sun is shining, and the flowers are starting to bloom. Inuyasha and I have even started planting seeds in our garden again. Winter is fun, but it's nice how refreshing things feel when spring finally comes around.

This afternoon I spent time with Sango and the kids. We took them down to the river and watched them run around. Shinichi was still very unsteady on his feet but he was starting to get the hang of it. With two energetic older sisters, he was becoming very eager to keep up with them. All three of them have grown so much since last year and it's nice to see.

"It's cute to watch Shinichi run around with them now," I said to Sango.

"I know. It's hard to believe my little baby is walking," Sango replied. "It's expected with him around the twins all the time. The day he took his first steps, he wanted to go play with his sisters and he got up and walked over on his own. Miroku and I were so happy. I still wish there was a way I could have captured the moment forever."

I giggled a bit. "That's one of the many things I miss from my era."

Sango looked surprised. "You can do that in your era?"

"We have cameras where all you have to do is press a button and the moment is captured forever."

"Wow, I wish we had those here. I'd take a million of those of my family. They grow up so fast," she said with a sigh.

"Are you and Miroku going to have any more?"

"Maybe," Sango said with a smile. "If it happens, it happens. I do recall that when he proposed to me I agreed to have 10 or 20 babies with him."

"You'll need to build a bigger house," I laughed.

She laughed as well. "That's very true. If we have more babies, each one will be just as loved as these three are. And if we don't have more I don't mind that either."

As I watched the children play, I thought about having a baby with Inuyasha. It crosses my mind every now and then and each time it makes me very happy. I can just imagine the little feet running around our house and the sound of their laughs. I know that Inuyasha will be the most incredible father as well. Whenever that day comes, I'll welcome it.

"Kagome!"

I turned to where I heard his voice calling me. I could see him in the distance running towards us. As he got closer he tried to jump over a passing cart full of hay and missed. Instead, he tripped over it knocking half the hay on the ground, much to the farmer's dismay, and then rolled down the hill until he landed a few feet away from us.

I got up and ran over to him. "Yasha, are you okay?"

"Of course I am," he said as he sat up. Then he held out a bouquet of flowers. "Here. First flowers of the year."

"Inuyasha…" I said in surprise. I took the flowers and smelled them. The bouquet consisted of daisies, roses, lilies, and tulips. "These are so beautiful."

"Beautiful flowers for a beautiful woman." The way he was blushing was so darn cute!

At that moment I couldn't resist anymore. I tackled him back to the ground with deep, passionate kisses. After a few minutes, I sat up on my elbows looking down at him. My heart nearly melted at the sight of his white bangs falling into his gold eyes and fangs slightly sticking out of his smile. Inuyasha is so handsome and sweet and I could never ask for anything more than him.

"Thank you, Yasha."

"You're welcome, sweetheart."

The flowers are now sitting in a vase on my desk. It makes for a beautiful sight while I'm writing.

Also, while Inuyasha and I were talking this evening, we've decided to go on a trip soon. We figured that now would be a perfect time since the weather is getting much nicer. We're going to be going to the mountains and I'm so excited. I can already tell this is going to be fun and romantic.
