I want to put a unique spin on this, so…I'm going with another Omega/Alpha AU!
This chapter mentions: abortions.
Viewer discretion is advised.
It was once falsely believed that Omega's were made to be weak, and Alphas made to be strong. That is simply not the case. Omega's are more used to family work and good empaths, while Alphas pride themselves on doing things on their own, usually breadwinners. Betas were usually somewhere between, and the only way you would know a beta would be by their smell.
KO rubbed his belly again, the positive pregnancy test on his nightstand showing those two lines. "How am I gonna tell her? I mean…she knows that I'm an Omega, I've told her that…but I wouldn't think she's the mommy type." He sighed. "Everytime I want to tell her, I get choked up and worried. But the longer I wait the worse it becomes, huh?" A beat of silence filled the room as KO leaned his head back.
"Okay. Tonight. I'll tell her tonight."
Dendy came home, placing her keys on a hook by the back door.
"Welcome home sweetheart." KO greeted and pulled her into a hug.
She hugged back with a soft smile on her face as KO felt her back.
"Stressful day?"
"Indeed."
"Then…this might be a bit more stressful."
"What is it?"
KO let out a breath and closed his eyes. "I'm pregnant."
Dendy's eyes widened and she took off her goggles to look him in the eye. "KO, are you serious?"
"Yeah…"
"How far along?"
"I took one of those early pregnancy tests. The ones that test six days after? So, probably that far."
"We do not know for certain then, but let's check with the doctors as soon as we can."
"Don't they test for it with blood?"
"Or a urine sample, sweetie. You won't have to deal with needles." She rested his forehead to hers, and they stayed like that for a tiny while, KO catching his breath.
"If…if I am, do you want to have kids or…get an abortion?"
Dendy blinked and looked up to her husband with a gulp. She had never been one who wanted children. At least not yet. They could prepare for a child, certainly, but they had never sat down and talked about it. They should have, definitely, but the thought of having children seemed impossible to the two of them being different species and all.
