The planets that the Jaffa People's Republic had conquered as the Goa'uld Empire slowly collapsed were put through hell in the demented methods used for the industrial development of their state. Forests older then the idea of the Jaffa were torn down and used as fuel to power the factories that were springing up across the planets under the control of the Jaffa People's Republic. Mountain ranges that made the Himalayas look minuscule were torn open so that the Jaffa People's Republic could throw the resources in to the flames all for the ability to wage war. The most fertile regions on each planet was cordoned off to be used to feed the rest of the planet forcing the people in those regions to work themselves to death in the industrial scale farms that were created. No stone was left untouched and everything of any value was confiscated and thrown into the fires of industry to arm the army of the revolutionary proletariat. Because that was the entire point of this sadistic drive for development not to improve the life of the people but to arm the mighty legions of the Jaffa People's Republic. The ancient heirlooms and trinkets torn from the people were cast into vats which outfitted the most well-known horror of the Jaffa People's State the Jaffa Liberation Army.

On the other side of the galaxy in an ironic echo the Goa'uld Republic represented a beacon of democracy, freedom, and liberty. The state took cues from the United States and the United Empire, their lower house took cues from the House of Commons while their upper house resembled the American Senate with each planet electing ten representatives to the High Council. The President was a mostly ceremonial position appointed by the High Council with most executive power invested in the Prime Minister. The economy of the Goa'uld Republic was highly tied with humanity with exports flowing through the Stargate and trade conveys under the protection of the allied fleets. The military did have a large role though with a massive part of the annual budget sent off to fund the soldiers marching under the Stars and Flames or the sailors toiling away on the first of the Selmak Class of Light Cruisers. After all the Goa'uld Republic had been born from war they were the first time the Tok'ra had secured a decisive success in millennia and they would defend it. Which is why every world under the control of the Goa'uld Republic is fortified to a ridiculous extent that remanent paranoia that the Goa'uld or some other foe would appear and crush their liberty. Its an idea expressed by the Koreans and Hawaiians when discussing national defence after all they were conquered once they could be conquered again.

The final nation that had been torn free from the collapsing Goa'uld Empire by the 1950's was the Free Jaffa Kingdom founded following the Battle of Earth the state had been developing at a cracking pace with their economy and quality of life skyrocketing under the able guidance of Teal'c. Where once poverty and illiteracy had dominated prosperity and knowledge had triumphed and the first generation knowing only the Free Jaffa Kingdom are a unique breed. They were not raised to respect the First Prime of whichever Goa'uld they had been born under but IIET-1, Teal'c, and others and this was reflected in when the first wave joined the Emperor's Free Jaffa Legion. They marched in with swords strapped to their sides and bagpipes blazing following in the example of 'Mad Jack' Churchill for he was a true warrior one who fought with brains as well as skill. Unlike Tolkien who's love of academic matters did not sit well with the militaristic Jaffa culture 'Mad Jack' represented the pinnacle of what a warrior should be. So, the youth took after him and fought like him charging into battle like madmen for Emperor, Country, and Freedom. The cultural rebuilding of the Jaffa was not just relegated to the military but every facet of Jaffa society the arts flourished, academia was born, and political though diversified massively. Arguably the biggest change in Jaffa culture was how religion shifted instead of shifting to atheism following the discovery of the parasitical nature of the Goa'uld instead turning to the many human faiths mostly Shintoism though a large faction converted to modern Paganism.

When IIET-1 entered the heart of the Dakara Temple they found Anubis on the verge of victory he had worked out how to calibrate the Dakara Superweapon and was on the verge of activating it when 'Mad Jack' burst d through the door and challenged him to a duel. Anubis refused to accept the duel and activated the weapon as the last member of IIET-1 entered the safe zone. The weapon affected everyone equally slaughtering Jaffa as well as allied soldiers and all life across the planet was annihilated save for the Kull, Anubis, and IIET-1. While the majority of the initial force that had landed on Dakara had already evacuated around ten regiments of men were still on the planet when the weapon was activated killing all of them. The battle was an unmitigated disaster forcing the allied fleet in orbit to withdraw from the system with the news.

IIET-1 was stuck in a room with Anubis on a dead planet and they had just heard their friends die over the radio they were not looking to escape they were looking for revenge. 'Mad Jack' began to lash out with his sword forcing Anubis to withdraw abandoning the superweapon allowing the other members of IIET-1 to destroy the console with a series of grenades. Destroying the entire console, the weapon was rendered useless while Churchill rammed his sword through Anubis's chest. The form that Anubis had taken on was destroyed and IIET-1 turned to leave the ruins of Dakara. They managed to rush to the Stargate and dialled out to the nearest Alpha Site where their return was met with much fanfare. The Battle of Dakara was over and no one had won.
