June 27

Today is the last day of our vacation. Even though it's almost over and we're going to head home tomorrow, it doesn't mean things won't be exciting. My first trimester is over and now it's time to definitely start getting everything ready for the baby to arrive. The next few months will certainly be interesting for us.

But until then, we're making the most of our time here. We spent a romantic night in the hot spring last night and we'll likely go back tonight. This morning we went for a walk on the beach. It was fun to walk along the water with the waves splashing over our feet. At one point during our walk, a really pretty pink seashell washed up. I'm going to take it home.

Something really strange happened today. Inuyasha went to get us some fish for dinner. I stayed behind at the house but decided to sit out on the front porch to get some fresh air. That's when I noticed a figure in a velvet cloak starting to approach the house.

I stood up defensively when I noticed them coming towards me. "Who are you?"

When they were a couple of feet in front of me they stopped and lowered their hood revealing a beautiful pale woman with long black hair and red lips. "I am a sage."

"Oh," I said, a bit relieved.

"And you are the woman who shares this house with the half-demon?"

I nodded slowly wondering how she knew that. "Yes, I am."

She lifted her hand towards me and a menacing smirk crossed her face. "A curse has been put on you."

"What?!"

"I have put a curse on you." She pointed to my stomach. "Something terrible will happen to that child you are carrying when they are born."

Upon hearing that, I became very nervous and protectively put my hand on my stomach as if I could shield the baby from whatever this sage had done. "What do you mean?"

"Something very, very terrible."

"Leave her alone!" Inuyasha said as he approached us. He already had his sword drawn and he was poised to attack if the sage made the wrong move.

The sage turned and hissed at him. Then it turned out she wasn't a sage at all. She transformed into some kind of bat demon and lunged at Inuyasha. He jumped over her and landed in front of me. "Stay behind me, baby."

The demon came for him again and he swiped at it with his sword. However, the tetsusaiga passed straight through the demon as it seemed to dissolve in thin air.

"Damn it, where did you go?!" Inuyasha growled. He likely would have gone to find the demon but he became concerned for me when he heard me sob.

It was gone but I still couldn't stop thinking about what she said. Was the curse real? Was something really going to happen to our baby? The thought of anything bad happening to our baby was so unbearable to me and I started to cry.

Inuyasha immediately rushed over to me and held me. "Shh, don't cry, love. What did that demon do to you?"

"She said she was a sage and she put a curse on me," I said as I dried my tears. "She said something terrible would happen when our baby is born."

"Keh, some kind of crackpot sage that was." He brushed away my tears and kissed me. "Our baby will be fine. She was probably just trying to trick you to make you give her something."

"Are you sure?"

"Of course." With the way he hugged me and kissed me, I instantly felt better. "Come inside I know you're hungry."

Dinner is almost ready as I'm writing this. I don't know whether what the sage said is true or not. I certainly didn't feel anything out of the ordinary when she said she had put the curse on me. But I don't want to take any chances. I'm going to take extra good care of the baby until my pregnancy is over.

I also can't let this get me down because it's the last day of our vacation. We're supposed to be having fun, not worrying about evil curses. After dinner, I'm going to make sure we end our vacation on a very romantic note.
