July 1
We've been back home for a few days now but that doesn't mean Inuyasha and I have stopped being horny for each other. It's like we're still on vacation but we're actually at home.
Despite this, I managed to pry myself away from him long enough to do some things at the shrine today. Unfortunately, while I was lighting a candle I ended up burning myself. I usually try to keep my mind clear of distractions while I'm there, but I guess I was too distracted thinking about Inuyasha and about the baby.
When I got home, Inuyasha was still there and he must have missed me very much because he almost immediately pulled me into his arms to kiss me. Then he noticed my burned finger.
"When did this happen?"
"At the shrine," I replied. "I guess I just wasn't paying attention."
"Damn, woman. You need to be more careful, especially with the baby."
"Yasha, burning my finger isn't going to hurt the baby."
"No, but it could have been worse. Sit down."
I sat on the couch as he said. He disappeared for a moment and then came back into the room with a bandage for my finger. Once he was done he kissed it. "Better?"
I couldn't help but giggle a bit at how protective he was. He'd save me from monstrous demons and also something as small as a burn from a candle. "Yes, thank you." Then I put my arms around his neck and pressed a loving kiss to his lips. "Now that that's done, what should we do now, my love?"
"There's some work to be done in the garden…"
My face fell. That wasn't what I was expecting. "Well...if that's what you want to do…"
All of a sudden he started laughing. "I'm kidding, Kagome! Geez!"
As I was laughing he kissed me again. Then a second later, I was on my back while he started to kiss me harder.
"You jerk," I said as he kissed my neck.
He looked into my eyes and there was a devious smirk on my face. "You know you love me, baby."
"Just shut up and kiss me, Yasha." I pulled him back to me and our deep, passionate kisses resumed. We were quickly becoming aroused and were on the verge of removing our clothes when there was a knock on the door.
"This had better be good," Inuyasha growled.
We both went to the door and found Shippo there. At least he knocked this time.
"Hey, you guys," he said cheerfully.
"Hey, Shippo. What's up?" I said.
"I just wanted to say hi and see how your trip went."
"That's nice of you. It was really nice. You want to come in?"
"Sure. Hey Inuyasha, why do you look so mad?" Shippo said as he came into the house.
"No reason," Inuyasha said even though he still looked incredibly mad about being interrupted. I gave him a kiss and a look that said we'll finish what we started later.
Instead, we made lunch and sat around the table with Shippo eating and talking.
"So how are things going with your new girlfriend?" Inuyasha asked.
"Me and Michiko broke up," Shippo said, causally.
Inuyasha and I were very surprised.
"What happened?" I asked.
"We just decided that we wanted different things in life," Shippo replied. "The breakup was mutual."
"You're 11, what different things could you possibly want?" Inuyasha asked.
"Adult things."
Inuyasha and I exchanged a glance. That was vague but we decided to go with it.
"Well, I'm sorry things didn't work out," I said.
"It's alright. There are plenty of other women out there. I'm keeping my options open for now."
We were surprised by how well Shippo was taking this. Surely we would have expected him to be beside himself with the whole thing and to be completely heartbroken considering the way he talked about Michiko before. But I guess it's part of Shippo growing up that we still need to get used to.
