Sam stepped forward; the door closing shut behind him. Bella didn't move, pushing herself back as far as she could into the wall, her hand over her heart. It was fluttering like that of a hummingbird. Her eyes were wide, and she shakily reached out a hand to turn on the lamp.
The soft glow illuminated him, his tan skin glowing under the light like gold. Even in her current state of fear, he was an attractive man. "You shouldn't have looked out the window," He responded, walking forward, but stopping a few feet away.
She looked out the window again, swallowing loudly. "W-what happened to that person? Y-you k-killed them," She stuttered, whipping her head around to look at him again. He closed the distance between them, grabbing her arm. "Let me show you something," He tugged on her arm, and she complied, following behind him out into the cold rain.
She could barely see, but the lightning in the sky provided some light. He led her to the side of the house, and she crouched, searching the ground, her hand reaching out blindly. "Don't touch it," He warned, causing her to pull her hand back. As thunder boomed in the sky, the whole yard was illuminated. She shrieked at the scene before her, her eyes roaming the pieces of body parts.
A hand lied to her left, a leg to her right, and a head right at eye level. She shot up quickly as the head blinked, backing away into Sam's side, burrowing her face in his arm. His arm wove around her waist, pulling her away from the vampire.
He led her back into the house, sitting her in the rocking chair. He grabbed a blanket, wrapping it around her. "He..it blinked! There's no blood! What is that?" She asked, slightly becoming hysterical. "What are you?!"
Sam knelt in front of her, laying a hand on her knee, calming her instantly. She was breathing heavily, her brown eyes staring into his. "You can't tell anyone what you saw. You can't tell anyone about me, about nothing I am about to tell you. Do we have an understanding?"
She nodded, her fingers tightening on the blanket. She looked away as he stood, her body warming at the fact that there was a perfect male specimen right in front of her. He left the room, coming back seconds later in a pair of sweats. "That out there is a vampire. Not like the ones we see in the movies. These are different. Cold One's. They are my enemy, my people's enemy. From the moment I was born, I was destined for this. Cold Ones activate the gene in my blood causing me to turn into a wolf. That is what you saw. We protect the people from Cold Ones. I first turned at 19 due to the presence of The Cullen's," Her brow furrowed. "I went to school with them. They were vampires?"
He nodded. "Yes. I didn't know how to change back to that of a human and lived in the body of a wolf for a month before I somehow managed to change back. I knew of my history and knew my purpose, but by the time I phased back, I decided that I wanted to live alone. I didn't want the other boys in La Push to have the same fate as I did. I also assumed that the people I once loved had since moved on. I've been here ever since. I do my best to stop vampires from entering the land,"
Bella was quiet, searching his eyes for any possibility of a lie. "What happens to the vampire outside? Why did it move?" Sam moved to the window, peering out into the darkness. "They can only be killed if their bodies are burned. Once the rain lets up, I can set a small fire. For now, I keep an eye on it and separate the head. It can't function without it," He turned towards her, eyes raking over her shivering form. "I have a drawer in the bedroom with some clothes. You can probably wear one of my shirts," She nodded jerkily in thanks, standing.
As she made her way past him, he gently grabbed her arm. She looked up at him in question, moving a wet strand of hair from her face. "I'm not going to hurt you. Like I said before, you're safe with me,"
He let go of her arm, and Bella just stared at him for a moment, her eyes zeroing in a bloody patch on the side of his head. She reached up, swiping her thumb along it, frowning as there didn't seem to be a wound.
"I can heal. Kinda indestructible," He explained, letting Bella explore. She eyed a scar on his chest, running her finger along it. His pec twitched under her touch, and she snapped her eyes towards his, her heart once again fluttering, but not out of fear.
She leaned up on her toes, her right hand on his arm, her eyes going to his lips then his face once more, asking silently for permission. His hand laid gently on her waist, pulling her forward so that there was no space in between them. Their lips met halfway, Bella's eyes closing as the taste of him assaulted her mouth.
His lips were soft, caressing hers, his warm tongue swiping across her lips. She obliged, a soft moan escaping her mouth as her left arm wove around his neck, pulling him closer. She gasped softly as he lifted her easily, the two now at eye level. She pulled back, tugging at her shirt, his warm hand sliding deliciously up her back, removing her shirt over her head, tossing it to the side.
Her nipples strained against her bra, feeling the heat from his body. "Why are you so warm?" She mumbled against his mouth, her fingers weaving through his luscious, soft hair. "Wolf thing," He responded, unclasping her bra, and Bella lifted her arms to help remove the garment.
She gasped as her breasts made contact with his warm chest, her moan being swallowed by his lips once more. Using her toes, she pushed down on his sweats, and Sam used a hand to push them down the rest of the way, stepping out of them.
He kicked them to the side, fighting the urge to lay her on the floor and have his way with her. He kissed along her neck, growling softly as her fingernails scraped across his scalp, the sound enticing her more as he could smell her arousal thick in the air.
As he sucked and nibbled, he led them down the hall, pushing open the bedroom door with his foot, laying her down on the bed. She whimpered at the loss of contact, a loud moan escaping her lips as his hands traveled up her body, her D-cup breasts now in the palm of his hands. He squeezed and rubbed, massaging her nipples gently, eliciting sounds of pleasure from her.
She squirmed against him, letting out a surprised squeal as he tugged her down the bed, her lower region making contact with his large cock. She moaned, her pants covered vagina pulsating in need. She moved her hips, creating friction she so desperately needed. Sam growled again, and before Bella could comprehend what was happening, her eyes snapped open in surprise as his warm lips were wrapped around her nipple, his tongue gently lapping at the sensitive bud.
Her hands traveled in his hair, closing her eyes as softly nipped at her flesh, his other hand massaging her other breast. He switched then, showing the other equal attention. "Please," She whimpered. She couldn't believe that she was about to have sex with a man that wasn't even human, and somehow that made it even hotter.
She had never met a man like him, and the way he touched her was pure heaven. There was something about him that despite his true nature, she had to have him. It was like a magnet that she couldn't pull away from. Over the last few nights, she couldn't deny that she had a fantasy or two regarding Sam. I mean, you get lost in the woods and happen upon a man like him. This just simply doesn't happen.
His hands made quick work of her pants, taking her panties along the way. Sam moaned at just the smell, looking down at her with heavy eyes. Bella watched as his head disappeared between her legs, her hands tightening in his hair as she felt his moist tongue gently lap at her folds. "Oh…" She whispered, shuddering as his tongue found her sensitive clit, licking the bud, his moans creating vibrations against her legs.
He popped his head up slowly, and Bella couldn't deny that she saw flecks of gold in his eyes. "So delicious," He purred, his fingers teasing her opening. She groaned as he slipped a finger inside, then two, slowly stretching her. She sighed in bliss as he worked her, his lips on hers once more. She moaned at the taste of herself. "Have you ever felt this good?" He growled in her ear, a low purr like rumble leaving his chest as she gasped, his fingers now moving at a fast pace, making her quiver.
She shook her head frantically, her moans getting louder as he brought her closer and closer to the edge. Before she could cum, he pulled his fingers out, slowly replacing his fingers with his thick shaft. Her hands went to her hair, and she tugged softly, gasping for breath with each slow push.
He grasped her waist, lifting her so that she sat in his lap, her legs automatically wrapping around his waist. They both moaned as he slid all the way in, his fingers tightening on her waist. He kissed her softly, slowly rocking his hips, his cock sliding in and out. She came immediately, pulsating around him in tight, slow bursts.
Bella has had sex before, but not one of them managed to do what Sam did. He played her body like a fiddle. Sam just chuckled against her neck, slowly lifting her until just the tip before slamming her back down, eliciting a shriek from Bella, her head tilting back as he repeated this action.
He found purchase within her breasts, taking a nipple in his mouth rocking into her roughly, their skin slapping with each thrust. Her soft shrieks turned into screams as she climaxed multiple times, his hands tightening along her waist, fingers digging into her flesh. "Oh god," She gasped as he grabbed her hair pulling her head back, leaning forward slightly. With a grunt, he pounded into her relentlessly, swallowing her screams with a kiss, moaning into her mouth as they both peaked over that edge.
He pulled her up to his chest, slowly rocking into her, riding out the last of his wave, humming in content as she shuddered against him, shaking in his hold. She gasped against his neck, both of them groaning as he pulled out of her. They laid in a tangled heap, breathing heavily.
"That…" She whispered breathless, staring up at the ceiling. "I know," He responded. He pulled her close to him, nuzzling his face into her neck. "You make me not want to leave," She hummed, snuggling closer to him. Sam chuckled. "You can always come back," She laughed softly. "Get lost again? Sure."
They fell asleep soundly, the beast inside Sam wanting to covet this little human that stumbled across them. In its eyes, she was now theirs. She smelled like heaven, tasted like sin, and it knew no one else could have her.
For the first time in 5 years, Sam actually ventured out into the open, following behind his human. The day after their passionate night, Sam was able to burn the vampire body, and lead Bella out of the woods, showing her how to get back to his home if she ever ventured back.
To his surprise, she did, almost every week, she was around. He was content with her, and the wolf in him couldn't stand behind away from her for no more than a few days at a time. It wasn't until a few weeks later did Bella come to him in the night. He growled at her for walking in the woods at night, and she countered by explaining that she couldn't stay away from him longer than a few hours. A mini argument became a heated make-out session which turned into a night filled with sex and cuddles.
He concluded that he and Bella had some sort of attachment and that they needed to figure out a way to see each other. Moving in was a big step, and he knew that Bella wasn't ready for that commitment, and where he lived wasn't feasible for her.
So, he decided to go with her back to the town of Forks, get a feel for the area. They decided that maybe he should venture back to La Push. Bella had been doing some snooping and found that not everyone had quite forgotten about Sam as he thought. She a bit saddened that he left a girlfriend behind, but after his assurance that he'd let her go a long time ago, she was put at ease.
She learned that his mother had never forgotten about him, and still asked if people and seen him till this day. She spoke with his mother, and after convincing Sam to see her, did he finally tag along. It felt weird being in a car and riding around. The salt was in the air, and a peace settled over Sam.
She pulled into the driveway of a small rustic home, smiling at him. "She never stopped thinking about or looking for you. Go on, I'll wait here," After kissing her lips, he took a deep breath, stepping out. For the first time, he laid eyes on his mother, and a string of guilt tugged on his heart.
Still knowing her son, she eased his guilt, understanding that he was going through a rough time, and was proud that he had been protecting his tribe. 2 years after Sam's disappearance did she find out that he was destined for greatness, but without any proof, she started to fear the worst.
Sam learned that he in fact was the only boy to phase, his efforts proving successful. There was some concern however that the Cullen's had moved back to Forks. Since many of the humans at the high school had graduated and moved away, it was safe for them to return. Their presence could cause the boys to still shift. Sam made a mental note that if they did phase, he'd stay in order to teach them all he knows. The following evening, a bonfire was thrown in his return. Bella stayed by his side most of the night, and he was content. His human was next to him, and he was finally out in the world again. He didn't like her friend, Jacob. He could smell the lust roll off the boy in waves, and it made him itch, the wolf wanting to show the boy that she was off-limits.
It wasn't until he saw Leah that shit hit the fan. They were cordial, and Leah forgave him for the way he abandoned her, having found someone else, and was now married. It was her cousin, Emily that shook him to his core.
She came up to them, looking to Sam and then Bella. As soon as they met eyes, Sam didn't like the feeling he received. Some force was trying its hardest to pull them together, but his wolf was strong. It had already chosen, and his little human was his, and his only. He wouldn't trade her for anything.
His hand tightened on the beer he had, crushing it in his palm. Bella glanced over at him in surprise. "Is everything alright?" She asked, pulling him to the side. He shook his head. "No," He growled. He was shaking slightly, anger coursing through his body.
Billy wheeled towards him, eyeing Sam in concern. At his questioning, Sam explained what had happened, and Billy informed him of imprinting. Bella was alarmed to know that her wolf was this close to being taken from her. At her teary eyes, and dejected expression, the wolf fought even harder. "How do I break it?" He snapped. Billy shook his head, saddened for the wolf and his lover.
"There is no way," Sam glared down at Billy. "Bullshit," He growled. Before anything could be said, he stalked off into the crowd, heading in Emily's direction. Bella made a move to go after him. Billy stopped her with a hand on her arm. "I wouldn't do that. It might be best you go home. There has never been a time where a wolf fought the imprinting. It is too strong. I'm really sorry for this to have happened,"
She glanced back at the crowd of people finding her Sam nowhere in sight.
Bella waited for an hour before heading back to Forks. She hadn't seen him or Emily the rest of the night, and she feared the worst. She trusted Sam, but if there was some deep-rooted magic involved, he didn't have a choice. She didn't blame him, but she blamed the Supernatural. She was in love with Sam, whether or not they said it.
That night with him changed her world. Now it was gone. The old white home was gloomy. Charlie had left it to her after retirement, deciding he'd like a change of scenery and moved to California. She tried to hold back her cries as she trudged up the stairs, taking her clothes off as she went.
After letting the water warm up, she showered, no longer able to contain her cries, her chest heaving with sobs. Her heart ached, and her soul hurt. Was she giving up on him? Yes. Although she didn't want to, after Billy's explanation, there was truly nothing she or Sam could do. Would she stand in the way of happiness? Of course not, but it was unfair. She wanted her Sam.
After washing, she grabbed her towel, and made her way into her bedroom, glancing at her bed, and then her clothes. She wanted to curl in it, crying till she couldn't shed a tear. On the other hand, she wanted to fight for her love. She growled to herself, snatching the clothes off the chair.
As she dropped her towel, a slight noise made her freeze, and she looked around the dark room. "Well, well, well. What do we have here?" She shrieked at the voice, bending down for her towel. She swiveled around, holding it across her body. Standing in the hall was a man with dirty blonde hair in a ponytail. He had on a dark brown jacket, a dirty white shirt, jeans, and brown boots.
She took a step back, eyes widening at his eyes. They were a deep red, and fear coursed through her veins. She backed against the wall, clutching her towel close to her. "G-Get out!" She snapped, eyeing him warily. He tsked, tilting his head. "You humans are so dumb," In a flash he was in front of her, his ice-cold fingers caressing her cheek. She whimpered, closing her eyes tightly.
This was how'd she die.
With a force so strong, she found herself flung out into the hall, the force causing her to roll down the stairs. She screamed with each passing step, thankful nothing broke. She stood quickly, shaking her head of any disorienting, and making a beeline for the front door.
She gasped as the vampire was blocking her path, his smile sending shivers down her spine. With another hit, she smashed into the dining room table, groaning in pain. She rolled to the side, tears rolling down her cheeks.
She found herself being lifted by the hair, her grip on her towel loosening. She weakly pulled at his clothes, only hurting herself in the process as his body was like stone. He opened the back door, tossing her out into the cold, night air. She hit the ground hard, gasping silently in pain.
She sobbed, rolling over, her hands covering her body as best as she could. The rain started to fall, drowning out the sound of her crying. "I smelled you the moment you strolled into town. God…." He hummed, bending down to grip her chin. "I'm going to have fun with you,"
Bella recoiled, and took a chance, kicking him where the sun didn't shine. Apparently even as a vampire, those were the most sensitive to a man.
He growled, dropping to his knees, and Bella turned over, standing shakily. She started for the woods, unable to make it far, but it was far enough. Emerged from the trees was a large wolf, teeth bared. In relief, Bella dropped to her knees, those eyes following her, the hair rising on the beast, a loud growl permeating the air.
Keeping his eyes on the vampire, Sam circled Bella, bushing against her side. She grasped his fur, a small whine leaving her throat. He purred, nuzzling his head against her back, a way of soothing her. He stopped in front of her, hiding her from view, his body set and ready. He shot forward; the vampire unable to counteract. Sam opened his mouth, his teeth sinking into the hard flesh, ripping the head from the body.
Tearing the rest of the vampire to pieces, he growled in satisfaction, turning his attention back to his human. She would always be his human. He was able to scatter the body parts. Burring them in places no human or vampire would come across. He'd come back and burn the pieces.
Sam was too angry to phase back, but he went back to her side, nuzzling against her. He laid, an indication that he wanted her to hop on. She did so, clinging onto him. His rumbling soothed her, and in turn, soothed him. He ran back to his little cottage in the woods, gently laying her down in the grass. Finally, able to phase, he lifted her body, nuzzling her face. She clung to him, and he whispered in her ear, calming all her fears. After getting both of them cleaned, he assessed her injuries, surprised nothing was broken, but she had a sprained ankle and wrist.
He took care of those wounds, wrapping them, and applied his handmade herbal ointment to some cuts. They didn't say a word, but Sam needed to complete an urge deep within his soul. His wolf was very antsy and needed to make his point clear. He didn't know how to break his imprinting with Emily, but there was enough hatred for him to fight it.
She fell asleep within minutes, her head pressed against his chest, her neck exposed. On instinct, and maybe defiance, Sam nuzzled her neck, licking her skin before sinking his teeth into her flesh like butter. He let his saliva drip down his teeth, licking the wound.
She didn't stir awake, but she shifted a bit, wincing. He licked the wound more, placing a kiss on it as started to close, leaving the impression of his teeth.
That pull to Emily disappeared, and all that stood in his world was his human.
