Fate Finds a Way: Forever

Summary: This is an epilogue of sorts. What happens now?

AN: I wanted to include the ages. This mini-story has taken place during Twilight, a few minor changes: Bella went to school with the Cullen's as she did in Twilight. Sam was just 17. Only thing is that Bella and Edward never got together, and Bella lived her own life. At 19, Sam phased, by which Bella was just 18, 5 years later and boom.

Jacob and the rest of the pack were much younger at that time. They were just about to enter high school when Sam phased. Making what's happening now, the boys are the age they were in New Moon and so forth, just the timeline is different. Bella and Sam are the oldest, 23 and 24.

Okay, enjoy.

"It is your destiny to stay here in LaPush. You're home now, we have already prepared Emily so that this won't come as a shock to her. We will see to it that Bella gets the proper care here. After all, she did bring you home," Billy Black smiled in thanks. How stupid were they? Did they think that I just brought Bella along for the ride?

I raised a brow, turning to glance at my little mate. I could see that she was fighting a smile, her face blank. Her finger twitched at her side, and I grasped her hand, smirking at the looks of surprise. "I'm afraid telling Emily would do no such good, and you just told our secret. Emily is not my imprint,"

One of the elders, I believe Old Quil as they called him, looked to me in exasperation. "My heart goes out to you wolf, but you cannot deny your calling! A wolf doesn't refuse what the gods have laid out for him! You can fight this all you want, but that…woman…is not your mate,"

Bella's hand on my chest kept me in place, knowing all I wanted to do was beat the old man senseless. "You're wrong. Sam no longer feels a connection to her. He broke the imprint," Bella moved her hair to the side, showcasing my mark on display.

"May I?" Billy asked, and I shook my head, pulling Bella to my side. "You see it. No point in touching it," Maybe I'm a territorial jackass, but ever since that whole vampire situation and this imprinting, I've been keeping her close to me. She's connected to me, and me to her. Ever since the marking, I can feel her physically, and emotionally. There's nothing on this Earth-like this connection, and I'd never give it up.

"If you want me to live here and help this upcoming pack, she comes, or I go. No negotiation. She's my mate, and you'll respect that. If I stayed, things would probably be different, but I didn't stay," Nothing but silence greeted me and looked down at Bella. I ran my thumb across her neck, feeling her strong pulse.

She melted against me like glue, and at this moment I wanted nothing more than to have my way with her, but I knew it would be rather inappropriate in front of an audience. "Well?" I asked, looking back at Billy. He looked at the others before nodding.

"Yes. Can we discuss living arrangements and maybe income?" Bella stood, kissing my cheek. "I have to make a call, and I'll wait outside while you talk," I nodded in response, running my hand along her arm in passing.

I told them of my skill in building houses and Billy said he had someone who was in need of a contractor. In turn, I could have assistance with building my own place for Bella and I. Temporarily we'd stay in an abandoned little cottage. I could always spruce it up, but I liked the idea of having my own, and that way whatever Bella wants, she gets.

I perked up at a slight commotion from outside, listening for Bella's voice. "You don't know what you're talking about!" I sighed in annoyance. Just the mere sound of Emily's voice grated my nerves. I didn't know anything about the woman, sure, but my wolf hated her so much, that I had no likeness of her either. She stood between me and my happiness, and once you do that, it's over. Billy looked at me apologetically. I stood, making my way outside, confused at the scene before me. Bella was leaning against our truck, her arms crossed over her chest, glaring at Emily.

Emily had just tossed her coffee on the ground, her face slightly red. "Everything alright?" I asked, making my way over to Bella. Her nose wrinkled, and I almost choked on the smell of Emily's perfume. "Dumbo here doesn't get the message. She still thinks you and she belong together," I playfully pinched her side. Bella wasn't one for insults, but I know it annoyed her as much as it annoyed me.

She turned her head into my chest, taking a deep breath. I glanced at Emily before turning my attention back on Bella. I didn't have to ask, and she already knew my question. "Just the smell turns my stomach,"

With a slight frown, I ushered her into the truck, turning on the air conditioner. "We'll keep in touch Billy," He nodded in my direction, a worried expression on his face. I went around to the driver's side, opening the truck door.

Before getting in, I looked at Emily. I did feel bad for her, she didn't ask for this, but she had to accept it. "There is nothing between us, nor will there ever be. This isn't some fairytale life," Before she could say anything, I was already closing the door, and speeding off.

Over the next few days, we gathered some items, moving them to this little cottage that sat by the beach making it as homey as possible, and Bella worked on selling the house in Forks. Emily was still iffy, and had this delusion that she should have her "happily ever after".

A month later I found out that Bella was pregnant, and I've learned the hard way not to go against my little mate. A frying pan still hurts like hell. The saltwater calmed her a lot. Resident and whom I used to see as a mother, Sue Clearwater, helped a lot when it came to Bella and our unborn child.

Since the baby was only half-human, she'd experience things at a higher rate than normal, also taking on certain abilities that her body naturally adapted to. Marking her and carrying the baby heightened her senses like smell and eyesight, but just barely.

It made me work even harder to get our home up and running. When she hit two months, two boys phased, Paul and Jared. I thought I was an ass before them, but I was even worse. Their temper had to constantly be in check, and I only allowed them over to help build. With what pay I earned, and what Bella had saved, we paid the boys, and I felt a sense of unity and parenthood in a sense towards them.

Paul's temper was the worst, and while it really wasn't a laughing matter, he got it in check quickly when Bella threw a cast-iron WOK at him for breaking her favorite vase. He also broke a few of my chairs and a table.

I only knew that it wasn't over. With The Cullen's in town, their stay had been extended due to the fact that a local teenager was dating the youngest one. That shortly went to shit three months later when I had to search for the poor girl. She was freezing to death in the woods right behind Newton's Outfitters.

She came around a lot, spending lots of time with the boys like Quil and Jacob. I knew that friendship was soon going to burn when Jacob phased. I advised it was best to stay away, and of course, he didn't listen.

While she never knew our secret, she couldn't be trusted. He got heartbroken. She returned to the vampires when they moved back into town, their arrival once again adding an addition to my pack. Seth, Leah's younger brother was just 15, two younger boys, Brady and Collin, along with Quil. After some time, they disappeared, that human girl with them.

We knew when there was a funeral held for her that she had joined the enemy. Bella was now 7 months pregnant and could pop at any time. I finally had our house done, my pack at the dinner table, all of us having a good old time. I didn't know if any more vampires would come around, but I made sure my pack was ready.

Jacob was still too young to take up Alpha, so I assumed the position. I fingered the ring in my pocket, glancing to my left. She was beautiful. Her face had gotten a bit fuller, her hair a glowing, chocolate brown. Her brown eyes were light with joy. Her laughter was beautiful. Smile wide as the ocean. I drowned out the noise of my pack, my eyes, and ears trained on just one thing.

My forever.

AN 2: To go into a bit more detail, The Cullen's came back a few times, but most of the original people Bella went to school with were already gone. By this time, new kids were rolling into high school and so forth. The original students of Twilight were already off and living lives by the time the Cullen's returned.
