They Can't Have You: Forever

Summary: Bella exacts her revenge

Also, for anyone wondering, there will be a part 2 to Bound to You.

Bella narrowed her eyes at the name on the mailbox, turning into the driveway. It was late in the night, and she turned off the truck lights before opening the door, shutting it closed. She eyed the light on in the living room and readied herself. She walked up the few steps, knocking on the wooden door.

She heard the shuffling and stepped back from the door. It opened, revealing a much older man. She paused, rethinking her whole plan. He deserved hell too, but could she bring this old man closer to death?

The man glanced down at her and then the gun. "Where is Billy?" He asked, looking past her shoulder. Bella shoved her way inside, turning to glance at him. "Bleeding out on Sam's floor. Would you like to be next?" The man closed the door, glancing at her. "I foresaw this, a long, long time ago," Bella tilted her head confused. "My demise," He explained, slowly shuffling towards her. "Tea?" He asks, motioning towards the table. Bella shakes her head. "This isn't a social visit. My husband is dead. Because of you. You took him from me," Old Quil nodded slowly, pulling out a flask. "Moonshine?" He offered, to which Bella refused. "I'm not here to kill you," She whispered, setting the gun in her lap. "I know. Which is why I have what you're looking for," He reached over, grabbing a piece of paper. He folded it and handed it to her. "I forged Billy's signature. You need Joshua's. He's the next house down,"

Bella slipped it in her pocket and frowned. "You deserve to rot in hell. You kidnapped Jared, got him killed, tried to kill me, hurt these people. What kind of man are you?" She whispered, shaking her head.

Old Quil sighed. "Power-hungry. You will need this," He tossed something high in the air, and Bella reached up to catch it, catching nothing but an empty vial. She glanced back at him, her eyes widening as he was holding a pistol. "Shit," She mumbled as he pulled the trigger, the bullet hitting her right in the shoulder. She gritted her teeth, rolling to the floor. She kicked the chair he sat in over, knocking him to the floor. She rolled over on top of him, pistol-whipping him in the head.

As he went out cold, Bella stood dusting off her hand. "Fucking bastard," She murmured. She groaned softly, heading outside of the house. She didn't bother with Billy's truck, and walked down the driveway, making a left, seeing the name Uley on the mailbox.

She trudged on, making a mental note not to underestimate anyone this time around. The house looked just the same as Sam's, and she walked up to the screen door, knocking a few times. "Who is it?!" Someone called and Bella gripped the gun in her hand tightly. She needed his signature first. She knocked again, hearing the heavy footsteps coming to the door. The door wrenched open and Bella eyed an almost spitting image of Sam, gulping slightly at his large build. "What do you want?" He snapped, opening the screen door. Bella raised the gun to his chest, stepping forward. "I need you to sign something," He held his hands up and nodded, backing up inside the house.

Bella waved the gun towards the couch, indicating that she wanted him to sit. Using her left hand, she pulled out the paper, sitting it on his lap. Joshua briefly glanced at it, shaking his head. "Well…you must be the wife," He said in disdain. Bella glared, putting the gun to his head. "Widow," She corrected. She took a quick glance around the room, pointing to a pen. "Don't fucking move. I've crippled one of yours and knocked the other out. I'm not afraid to shoot you dead," She threatened. She quickly reached over, grabbing the pen out of the cup. She handed it to Joshua, putting the gun back to his head. "Sign it," She demanded, applying a bit of pressure to his skull.

Joshua sighed, pushing the tip of the pen. "You don't know what you're doing. Without us, this whole place will go to hell," Bella scoffed, watching him closely. "Don't worry, I'll see you there when you die," She snatched the paper away from him, folding it back into place and stuffing it in her back pocket.

"What are you going to do?" He asked calmly. Bella clenched her teeth, sighing. "I want to kill you. I want you to suffer," She admitted. "Why don't you?" He asked, raising his head to look at her. "That would make me no better than you. You won't have anything," Joshua smirked, shaking his head. "Like you. That paper means nothing until it's made official and it looks like only one of us will be leaving this house,"

Bella narrowed her eyes at him, swallowing. "Is that a threat?" She asked. Joshua suddenly stood, knocking the gun out of her hand. "It's a promise," Bella sucked in a quick breath before ducking from his first swing. She kicked at his legs, knocking him to the floor. As he landed on the floor, Bella landed a punch to his nose, feelings his bones cracked underneath.

She quickly rolled over on top of him, banging his head against the floor repeatedly. She reached for the pen on the couch, her fingers wrapping around it. She pushed through the flesh of his hand, relishing in his yell of pain. He growled, pulling it out and tossed it to the side. Using his injured hand, he pressed his thumb into her shoulder wound making her scream. The distraction gave him the advantage to roll over on her.

He wrapped his hands around her neck, squeezing hard. Bella gasped for breath, raking her fingernails down his skin. She flailed her feet about, her arm reaching for anything within arm's reach. She clawed at the floor, her ears ringing, and vision diminishing.

A large force suddenly shoved itself into Joshua, knocking him off her. She turned over gasping for breath. She could hear the struggling of the fight until it suddenly stopped. She watched Joshua's head loll to the side, his face blank. She could see by the flutter of his eyelids that he was still breathing.

The large mass of body turned towards her, and her eyes widened. She sat up slowly, shaking her head. "No…you…I'm dead…" She tried to rationalize what she was seeing, her hand reaching out to touch him. "I told you I wasn't going anywhere ever again," Jared whispered, cupping her face.

"You were dead Jared. You weren't breathing! I watched you take your last breath," She whispered, shying away from his touch. "People don't come back from the dead. Not like this," Jared pulled her forward by her legs until she was right next to him. He leaned over her staring her in the face. "Look at me. Touch me. I'm right here. I'm alive. I'm breathing, because of you. I did die, but something happened. This was a gift I could never truly accept and embrace, so they gave me one I could. The moment you last kissed me was the moment you brought me back to life. The air you breathed was life into my lungs," He raised a finger to her lips, already seeing her questions.

"You don't have to understand. I am right here. This time, I am not going anywhere. Touch me," He whispered, raising her hand to his chest. Bella gasped at the strong heartbeat against her palm. She pulled him down to her, their lips molding together.

Billy, Old Quil, and Joshua Uley were arrested for conspiracy, attempted murder, and assault. The paper sighed by Old Quil and Joshua were the rights to the council. Sam Uley, Jared Cameron, if he wanted, as well as future alpha Jacob black were to be the new council members. Bella decided that she'd move with Jared to LaPush if that's what he wanted. It really was a beautiful place, and without all of the drama, it could be their new home.

Jared accepted the duty, hoping to change some rules for future pack members and generations down the line. He and Bella were still rekindling their love, and you'd barely find them without their hands on the other, but it was beautiful nonetheless. Emily needed counseling after the aftermath with Billy and was slowly coming to embrace the scars on her face.

Bella became a figure of hope and inspiration to young girls on the Rez and accepted a position to teach at the local elementary school. All in all, Jared never left her side again. He would always be there.

He was always there.

Forever he would be.
