September 22
My second trimester is coming to a close. It's hard to believe I've come this far in my pregnancy. Every time I look in the mirror and see that my stomach is getting bigger, it makes me so happy knowing that it won't be long now until we can hold our baby.
Even though I'm so far along in my pregnancy, Inuyasha and I are still having fun. We went on a date this evening. We've been trying to have as many of these as possible lately. Miroku and Sango have told us that once the baby is born, date nights will be few and far between so we're trying to make the most of it now.
As always, I like to get dressed up for our dates. It's nice to look extra pretty for Inuyasha sometimes. Sango and I had gotten some new maternity clothes for me a while ago and tonight I decided to wear the pink robe with a light blue skirt. I also pulled my hair back with a blue ribbon and was wearing my favorite bracelet that he got me.
When I came out of the room, Inuyasha was sitting on the floor petting Nico. "She takes forever to get ready, Nico. I don't understand it. Who really needs to take that long to get ready?"
I put my hands on my hips. "So that's what you think about me?"
"Only because it's true. Nico agrees with me."
"Nico is on my side."
"No, he's not."
Nico then went over to me and started rubbing against my legs. I smirked at Inuyasha. "What do you call that?"
"Keh, he's just a kiss-up."
"Well, I'm ready to go if you're done complaining," I said.
Inuyasha got off the floor and to my surprise he pulled me in for a kiss. "You look beautiful as always, baby."
"Are you trying to make it up to me now?"
"Maybe."
I laughed and kissed him back. "I love you. Let's go."
So we went on our dinner date where we ate at a nice table outside. The place was close to the lake so we took a walk by it afterward. On the way back, there were people selling some things in town and one of them was a woman selling dreamcatchers which I got excited by.
"Ooh, I've always loved these!" I said as I looked at all of them.
"They'll catch all your bad dreams and bring peace to your house," the woman said. "Care to buy one?"
I turned to Inuyasha. "Would you mind?"
"Clearly you're excited about it so get whatever you want," he said.
I picked out a really pretty one with feathers and beads hanging from it. We thanked the seller and I admired my new dreamcatcher as we made our way home.
"You really like these things, huh?" Inuyasha said with amusement.
"They're just so pretty," I replied. "I used to have one at home a long time ago."
When we got home, I hung up the dreamcatcher above our bed. It's such a nice decoration and hopefully, it gives us good dreams from now on.
