Welcome back to Ignitus' Wisdom! Today, we enter a franchise with a representative just about everybody wanted, despite everybody wanting different people, but Nintendo somehow found a way to satisfy most people. Did that sound confusing to anyone else? Well, to clarify, it's The Hero! Let's not waste a moment! Here we go!
Spyro: Wait, who's this guy? And why are there four of them?
Ignitus: They're all listed under one identity, "The Hero".
Spyro: Wait, they're from Dragon Quest! Now I recognize them, or at least Erdrick. No idea about the other three though.
Ignitus: Looks like it's the protagonists of the fourth, eighth, and eleventh games aside from Erdrick.
Spyro: Now that was a clever way to satisfy the request for a Dragon Quest character. Put four protagonists together, including the most recent and the most wanted.
Ignitus: I admit, I was kind of surprised when Nintendo revealed this was how The Hero would get in. A nice tribute to the legacy of the Dragon Quest series.
Spyro: Agreed. Now how do we test that legacy in combat?
Ignitus: The Hero has access to a set of four spells as a Down Special, but the spells are random each time. So don't be surprised if he tries that move multiple times, they're looking for a good set. And be wary of his Final Smash, Gigaslash, where they somehow summon the other seven Dragon Quest protagonists and channel their power into a lightning infused double slash.
Spyro: Time to put this classic RPG to the test!
