Friendship in Jeopardy

Melemele Island: Abandoned warehouse

At the villains' lair, the villains were arguing about the best way to defeat the heroes when a video call from a Zachbot came up.

"Hmm, what did my Zachbot find out this time?" Zach said as he stopped arguing to see the Zachbot's video which showed the kids getting along and having fun with each other.

"Ugh, those twerps getting along with each other, I don't wanna see that. Turn it off!" Zach ordered, but then, he had an idea. "Wait! That's it! If those kids didn't get along and argued with each other like we were, then we can take advantage of that and beat them and the Wild Ratts!"

"Wrecking their friendship. I like that." Gourmand said.

"We break their trust. We break their bond." Paisley said.

"That, we can agree on," Donita said.

Meanwhile, as the villains plotted, they were being spied on by Shock Rock.

"Interesting plan. I'll pitch in a little." Shock Rock said, then she sent six crystal bombs in the directions of the kids' homes.

The bombs landed near the front of the kids' homes, as each stepped out to head for school.

The crystal bomb went off, releasing yellow dust.

Melemele Island: Pokémon School

As the kids started arriving in the classroom, the villains made their move.

"First, we start off small, then things get bigger," Zach said.

Then, a Spybot sneaked past a desk and hid as Lillie came in.

"Alola, everyone!" Lillie said, then she took a seat at a desk, letting out a loud raspberry sound.

Lillie turned red from embarrassment and stood up in to see that it was just a whoopee cushion.

"Oh, I thought I broke wind for real," Lillie said as she removed the whoopee cushion from her chair.

Then, Lillie turned towards her friends.

"I'd like whoever did it to admit themselves. It's only a joke so I'm not mad." Lillie said.

"I didn't do it," Ash said.

"Don't look at me," Sophocles said.

"That's not my kind of joke," Lana said.

"Me too," Kiawe said.

"Okay, if you say so," Lillie said.

"Oh, this isn't over yet," Zach said as he had the Spybot prepare another trick.

Then, Mallow came in.

"Alola!" Mallow greeted, then she went to take a seat.

But when Mallow sat down on her chair, she felt a sharp pain.

"Aaahhhh! Owowow!" Mallow screamed as she stood up while holding her rear in pain.

Mallow's friends looked to see a thumbtack poking into her butt.

"A thumbtack!" Lillie said.

"Hold still. I'll get it." Lana said, and she got the tack out. "Does it still hurt?"

"Kind of. Ow." Mallow said.

"Here, you should go to the infirmary," Professor Kukui suggested.

"Okay, I will," Mallow said as she walked out of the classroom.

"So who put that tack there?" Professor Kukui asked as he turned to the other kids. "It couldn't have been Lillie because she just got here before Mallow."

Ash, Kiawe, Lana, and Sophocles all denied being the culprit.

Later, after Mallow returned, the class got underway.

Then, the Spybot hiding in Kiawe's desk, dropped a box of tacks, causing a sound.

"Huh?" Kiawe said as he looked to see the box. "Tacks?"

"It was you?!" Mallow asked as she noticed Kiawe holding the box.

"I have no idea where this came from and it wasn't me!" Kiawe said.

"And now you're trying to deny it even after you've been exposed! How low!" Mallow yelled.

"Oh yeah?! Well, I don't like you accusing me of something I didn't do!" Kiawe shot back.

Then, contempt from both Kiawe and Mallow grew as the villains continued to relish in their dirty work.

The day went on with various antics by the villains such as Sophocles's lunch going missing, Ash's battle being interfered with, Lana's fishing rod being damaged, etc.

By the end of the day, the kids had nothing but contempt for each other except Lillie, who instead seemed worried about her friends.

"Oh look. Class is over." Kiawe said.

"I guess it's time to go home," Sophocles said.

"Good. Because I wanna go home, away from you guys." Lana said.

"What a coincidence. I feel the same." Mallow said.

"That's the only thing that we agree on," Ash said, and everyone began leaving.

"Everyone, wait!" Lillie tried to stop her friends, to no avail. "It's strange. All these incidents kept happening today and now they're blaming each other for it, though I believe there's a reasonable explanation."

Meanwhile, the villains celebrated the success of their plot.

"That was easy, and fun!" Zach asked.

"So, why don't we attack, now that their friendship's history?" Gourmand suggested.

"Now on that, we all agree," Donita said.

Meanwhile, Shock Rock observed the situation.

"It's going nicely so far, despite the white girl failing to be affected by my crystal dust." Shock Rock said. "That girl got into her car before the bomb went off, so the dust didn't get her, but the other five are now at each other's throats. However, if they learn who were really responsible, then the affliction would break and their camaraderie would be restored."

Back with the villains, they arrived at the Pokémon School with a new giant robot.

"Ugh, what a time for a villain attack," Chris said.

"Right when there's an argument," Martin said.

Lillie and the Kratt bros went out to confront the villains.

"Oh, what's this? It's just you this time?" Zach asked.

"Having a little disagreement, perhaps?" Paisley asked.

"Huh? How do they know that?" Lillie asked.

"Yeah, and I'm sure that a bunch of incidents happened that made you unable to stand one another!" Donita said.

"Wait a minute. I'm starting to see what's going on here." Martin said.

"Me too. You're the ones who set up those incidents and blamed them on the other kids to ruin their friendship!" Chris said.

"Exactly! It was us all along!" Zach admitted. "And proud of it!"

"You're gonna pay for that, villains!" Martin said.

Martin and Chris got their Creature Power Suits ready and activated Orangutan and Harpy Eagle Powers.

Lillie sent out Magearna and used Burst to combine with it.

"Fleur Cannon!" Lillie opened her hands and fired a pink beam at the robot which it dodged.

Martin tried to move the robot with his orangutan strength, but the robot was stronger and grabbed Martin before throwing him at Chris.

Then, the robot swung its arm at Lillie.

"Iron Defense!" Lillie folded herself up into a ball to defend against the robot but failed.

"Haha! This is so easy!" Zach said, but then the robot was hit by a combination of Flamethrower, Dragon Pulse, Pin MIssile, Thunderbolt, and Hyper Voice.

"What was that?" Gourmand asked.

It was Kiawe, Mallow, Sophocles, Ash, and Lana in their Charizard, Serperior, Togedemaru, Pikachu, and Primarina Burst forms respectively.

"Hey what's going on? I thought you were fighting!" Zach said.

"Yeah, until they realized what was going on!" Aviva said as she exited the Tortuga. "The moment you started revealing how it was you, I recorded you and sent it to the kids, showing them who the real culprits were!"

"Yeah, and thanks to that, we already made up!" Ash said.

"Now, we're about to get back at you twofold for trying to ruin our friendship!" Mallow said.

"This could be bad," Paisley said.

"Flamethrower! Pin Missile! Thunderbolt! Sparkling Aria! Fleur Cannon! Frenzy Plant!" the kids unleashed their moves at the robot, trashing it and sending the villains blasting off.

"They got what they deserved," Sophocles said.

"I can't believe we almost let the villains ruin our friendship," Kiawe said.

"But Lillie didn't get angry with us," Lana said.

"I guess that means her trust in us was greater than any of ours," Ash said. "You're a good friend, Lillie."

"Thanks," Lillie said.

"But ironically, thanks to them, I think our friendship is even stronger than before," Mallow said, and the others agreed.

Meanwhile, Shock Rock observed the villains' defeat.

"Pitiful. Those 'villains' said too much when they should've been fighting." Shock Rock said. "But they're still useful as unwitting pawns."
