"Anakin are you hungry." I turned to the young girl's voice and felt her calm shift as she glanced my way. From this I knew she saw me glowing. She had this tinge of awe and fear directed at me. I looked away as I stood pulling in the Force I had been projecting as the members inside the council were feeling my presence and the first of several initial probes. Searching, feeling, exploring a Jedi always did to another they first met and even after that. However, this was more direct and invasive as I moved into the council chamber. I immediately took stock of the twelve masters matching how the felt in the Force with how they looked.

The first master was a female, human most likely, followed by a Zabrak male. Then a Quermian, I assumed was male though it was hard to tell. A Tholothian female was next followed by a, I am not sure what race this one came from, Thisspiasian, Sluissi? The next master was a Lannik and the master next to him was of Oteg's species but female. An Iktotchi male was right next to a Cerean male. Then the strongest in this room and a male of Oteg's species. The last two, one being human and the last a Kel Dor. He reminded me so much of Master Knost-Dural. I wondered if he would show the same thirst for historical knowledge as he did.

As I inspected them they inspected me. All twelve of them were trying to see what I was thinking to feel what I was feeling to gain some knowledge about without asking a question. My mind was slippery and their probes weak or too tentative. Some pushed harder and only got misdirected to one of their fellows. The two from Oteg's species were the most insistent. I was sure they gained something in the chaos they created. I hardened my mind creating a fortress that brutally tossed them from my mind. I noticed more than one gasp of suppressed surprise.

"Strong you are in the Force. Trained. Shield your mind you have. Impressed I am. Curious as well. Grand Master Yoda I am."

"A bit too forceful, but understandable. I am Mace Windu, Master of the Order. We sensed your interference as we tested the boy."

"I only sent him calm and this allowed him to relax. I would do less for any other youngling."

"I am tempted to deny the request to be trained just on your interference." The Cerean, who I later found out was Ki-Adi-Mundi, challenged.

"The boy is another matter and has no relevance to this inquiry." Master Yaddle looked at the other member before bringing her gaze back to me. "Who are you and who trained.

"Who am I is simple. When is the more important question and why is even harder. My name is Aliora Kimble. I have many titles and all have little meaning now. The one I will not discard is Jedi Battlemaster as this maybe one of the reasons for me being here. In the year 11 ATC I earned the rank of Padawan and began my training under Master Orgus Din. He was a member of the Jedi Council under Grand Master Satele Shan."

"Are you saying you are from the past?"

"3621 years ago according my droids and ships logs."

"The name Satele I am familiar with. Grand Master she was."

"I remember studying that time as well. Horrible what the Sith had done. She disappeared some time after another series of Sith attacks nearly destroyed the Republic. The total war spanned fifty two years, but was not the last conflict. The greatest victory was the death of the Sith Emperor ended that war 23 years after the Treaty of Coruscant."

"Than the history records are missing most of what really happened. Is there no reference to the Eternal Empire?"

"I am unsure."

"Am I not referenced. Should not my be familiar as well?"

"Barsenthor Hintal comes to mind, but I am unsure if he did more than reveal the Children of the Emperor."

"History is written by the victors and those willing to alter it. I have twelve years worth of journals I will gladly share. From the time that the Treaty of Coruscant was broken all the way up to the defeat and final destruction of Tenebrae. To include the death of Master Satele Shan and the rest of my friends and allies."

"Not long for you has it been. Your sorrow you can not hide."

"We have more questions and those logs will be a great addition to the library."

"I will compile them and update my holocron." Then the questions really began. I told them nearly of my entire life from early training all the way to the second I walked into their chamber.

"Master Kimble your accounts have been most enlightening, but I do not see any reason for you to have come to this time." Plo Koon declared.

"None of us have felt a ripple in the Force that your arrival should have caused." Master Adi Gallia added.

"I feel an answer shall come in time. The Force will tell." Eath Koth suggested.

"See the Padawan on the way out. They have been assigned to show you to your quarters and give you a tour of the temple." Master Depa Billaba motioned to the door and I knew when I was dismissed as I bowed my head to them.

"Thank you for hearing my history." I turned and walked out. I sighed as the doors closed and nearly leaned against them, but there were several Jedi in the waiting area. To include one young boy.

"Nice to meet you again, Anakin." I smiled as they got closer. Anakin Lit up with the largest smile I had seen on the boy. The younger male frowned as the older Jedi showed no reaction.

"Master Jedi... um I didn't get your name." The boy acted passive, but his feelings were not that of how a slave acted. It was different.

"Master Aliora Kimble, and who is this, your master?" He brighten as he looked at both of the Jedi he was with. The older of the two answered before he could.

"I am Master Qui Gon Jinn and this is my Padawan Obi Wan Kenobi. Anakin is in my charge." I felt his probing, but had ignored it as he was not getting anything. This mostly accounted for the frown Kenobi was giving me.

"Well met. I hope they do not keep you in there as long as they did me." I reached out my arm, while I shrugged back my cloak revealing the armored body suit. Qui Gon slowly took it and released the grasp and I could feel it bothered the young Jedi. He did quickly gain control over his reaction as we quickly grasped arms.

"This should not take long as we do not have much time, but we do need to eat before we go. Perhaps we shall see you there." Ah there it was. I had gained his attention and his master's curiosity.

"I will look forward to it. Though if you fail to find me I will be at my ship that is docked outside." I moved around them allowing my cloak to billow as if in a wind from many sides.

"That is your ship?"

"Yes." I saw a brief hint of surprise from Qui Gon before turning away.

"Master Jinn they are ready for you."

"Goodbye." Anakin blurted out. I spun as I replied.

"Goodbye." Those three were a swirl of Force. The older Jedi was heading to darkness which was not bad or good, but having seen such a mark in the Force before I knew he was headed for danger. The Padawan was more balanced, but again he had some darkness ahead. The boy was still a mystery as his aura was in complete flux. Padawan Keto had joined me without my notice in the turbolift.

"Playing tour guide Padawan Serra?"

"Yes." I giggled at her frown which turned into surprise as I winked at her.

"Good. Nearest sustenance room please. I could eat a whole Uxibeast." I got a strange look from her and then she mentally shrugged. I could feel her curiosity, but her reserve held her back from asking. She pointed out a few things along the way and gave me the channel to access the Temple map. Once I had access several messages popped up concerning my identification codes being updated. That drew my interest more than what she was showing me, but not enough that I could not follow. IU had a basic description of my past. Nothing more than a mixture of missions I am sure came from other Padawan, knight, and Master's histories. They at least got my age right though I had a feeling they just assigned that age. Gone were all my titles and ranks except the title of Paladin of House Organa.

The other thing they could not change was all my access codes as they just added on new codes. I studied the changes while we ate and I learned a bit about Padawan Keto and the daily activities here at the temple. The food was edible with at least a bit more spice to it than the bland food I had expected. I sensed when Anakin and his guardians enter the room and glanced over as they got their meals. I made eye contact with Qui Gon, but they did not sit near us, but I found this was planned as after a few minutes Master Jinn came over alone.

"Padawan Keto can you excuse us for a moment."

"Yes Master Jedi, I was finished anyways. Master Kimble meet me at the location I sent you and I will show you your quarters." I nodded as she went and Jinn sat.

"I find it interesting that you interfered with Anakin's evaluation. The council was not very pleased that you did."

"I felt that it helped, but they had already made up their mind before the youngling was tested. However, I feel that you are not here to complain."

"I could, but it would not change his outcome. I came over here as the council thinks you would be most useful if you joined me on my mission." It was an honest request though something was off and as I briefly closed my eyes I could feel the Force tell me not all was true. I was quite certain they would keep me here to fully evaluate me and my skills. Plus I am sure they would want to better research my past and look over my journals and holocron. This master was not interested in any of that.

"I would think the council would need time to trust me?"

"The council can do that later. I heard your name and I remember studying the Great Galactic War and your name was in many of the key records. My mind is telling me you can not be the same, but the Force says you are."

"Than count me aboard or shall we travel with my ship?"

"I would rather you left your ship here. The queen's ship is large enough to include another being."

"My ship is combat ready and if I know anything about missions that include more than a pair of Jedi than it will come in need."

"Our mission to get there will be one of stealth. Having your ship along will make it more likely to be discovered."

"I understand, but I will be uncomfortable in leaving it here as it is I feel something the Jedi Order can not utilize at the moment and I need to change."

"Then we do not have a moment to spare." We put our trays away and followed them out of the temple and out to my ship. They gave me several channels and a ship link just before I entered my ship.

"Master welcome home."

"Get the ship ready we are lifting off for the Naboo System in the Chommell Sector." I sent the droids my new codes and clearances.

"Yes master." I rushed to my cabin and used the Force to speed up changing. I wanted to be on the bridge as we lifted off. My combat armor attached to the body suit I currently wore and had valiantly protected me on nearly ever mission. Had I only worn it the day I encountered Arcann. That battle would have gone much differently. I put my hair up in the coif and tested the collapsible helm. The display came on and the pretest ran as I moved to the bridge.

"Do we have clearance to lift off?"

"We did until we linked into the Nubian Diplomatic channel a Master Qui Gon Jinn sent us the codes linking us to their flight plan."

"Good lift off so we can link up with their ship." The Jedi Defender rose in the air as a dozen Jedi were running to the ship. It was not long before we pulled in behind the Nubian cruiser. Several Jedi fighters were fast approaching but soon veered away as the fighters that were escorting the Nubian craft faced the Jedi craft. I could feel the tension in the pilots for several minutes as we continued to rise. Once we broke the atmosphere the Jedi fighters retreated.

"The other ship is contacting us."

"Put them through."

"Seems I under estimated your restrictions."

"Not that they really posed a threat to this vessel."

"Do not under estimate their skill."

"I don't doubt their skill, but this ship was designed to face capital ships and survive. Plus I shoot back."

"I feel that you would. The pilot has informed that your ship hyperdrive in link with ours and we will match speeds. Will sent coordinates as soon as the route is calculated."

"We can leave my ship in the outer orbit of the system if it is not needed and we can jump over."

"We?"

"I have several droids. Full combat upgrades."

"I would prefer you leave your droids behind. We will be facing a droid army. Best not to get them confused if combat breaks out."

"Understood."

"Then see you soon." The star field stretched out as soon as his image vanished. The clock showed the time to arrival and I felt a bit silly being in full combat gear. Even with the newest star charts and a hyperspace route calculated by the Coruscant hypercomp it was still going to take seven days. Strange that this was one of her first thoughts before knowing the distance being traveled. I had to laugh as I remember the first time I traveled from Coruscant to Tatooine. I had been in full armor the entire trip. I went and changed into my ship suit and started my daily routines. All the time wondering why I did not just go with them. This ship was a large attachment and carried so many memories that hurt as much as they comforted. Would it not have been better to leave it behind? The only reason I did not was I did not want the current Jedi Order to claim it and remove it from my list of options. The time blended together as the Force slowly hinted of the danger to come. Such a hint I took for granted normally as slight as it was, but with the Force being shrouded it could be hinting at a much larger conflict.

"Master we are several minutes from normal space."

"Good I want a full system scan passive so as to not warn any hostiles of our arrival. Then I want a close location where you can have the ship lie low."

"Objection: I find you going alone to be a high risk."

"Noted, but necessary." Several minutes later I jumped out of the airlock and over to the Nubian ship. I could feel the surprise and thoughts of respect that I had done so without a line. In space the Force was the best jet pack. Lacking mass and capable of ignoring many of the laws of motion. My helm retracting as I left the airlock garnered several surprised reactions.

"You can change in here to store you space suit, Master Jedi." The crewman pointed to a small closet.

"This is my combat suit." I replied as I pulled my cloak out of the carry all. I tossed the bag in the small closet before tossing it over my shoulders.

"Without the covering cloak you look like a mercenary."

"That has been said before."

"Again welcome aboard and right this way." I was lead in to the next hold and I smiled as I saw Anakin.

"Well hello young one." His optimism was nearly gone and his feelings fluctuated between longing, most likely for his mother and fear of the unknown.

"Hello." I sat down near him as the crewman signaled me to move with him.

"I am sure whatever plan they come up with will be just fine. I think I am better needed here."

"I will let them know, but the queen will want to meet you."

"She I am sure has enough Jedi to babysit at the moment." The man pauses for a second looking confused and then smiles seeing my smirk before nodding as the hatch closes.

"So tell me all about it." Anakin told me how he was questioned and tested and how he would not be a trained as a Jedi.

"So which Master Jedi said you would not be trained?"

"Master Windu."

"What did Master Yoda say?"

"Train him not. Take him with you, but train him not." The tears started again as he fell into my arms. I wished I had taken my armor off. Hard armor is not the most comfortable when trying to comfort. Though it really showed how uncomfortable this was, but I could not ignore the Force telling me he was very vulnerable at this moment. Then a smile threaten to emerge as a thought came to my head.

"Then I will train you."

"But they said..." He took a second to wipe his eyes. His tear redden eyes searched mine for the truth. I let the smile show as I nodded.

"They can say a lot of things but know this they did not forbid me to train you. They Forbid Master Qui Gon correct?"

"Yes."

"Because he has a Padawan?"

"Obi Wan."

"I do not have a Padawan and I really need one right now."

"You do."

"Yes I do. Anakin would you become my Padawan. I promise I will teach you everything I know." I saw a dozen different emotions cross his mind and collide with the dozen emotions. Almost if he was weighing all the different outcomes. However, it stopped before I could feel any decision being made.

"Master Jedi..."

"Aliora."

"Master, Aliora, I... I can't?"

"You can not. I understand. The offer will remain open and later I will ask again. I might even get the scary council to agree." I felt half his fears vanish as he giggled. He had rejected me, but I had not rejected him. However, it did make me wonder why he refused. He was so lost and I knew that after this event he would be passed off to another department in the Jedi Order and with how strong he was it would slowly eat away at him that he could not be a Jedi. Maybe it would be better this way, but the Force was against it, or was it that I was not ready for a Padawan that was still a youngling?

Our time alone ends as I feel the ship's motion as the dampeners disengage. The main door opens and Captain Panaka, some troops, and handmaidens enter. Anakin jumps up and this smile grows as everything else vanishes from his thoughts.

"Hi, Where have you been?"

"Annie! What are you doing here? His disappointment shadow the smile he just had.

"I'm with Qui Gon... But, they're not going to let me be a Jedi. I'm too old." I nearly gasp as I hear this and I could not believe it. This youngling being too old. I started my training as early as I remembered, but I did not leave my parents home until I was twelve. How much has the Order really changed?

"This is going to be dangerous, Annie."

"Is it? I can help. Where are we going?"

"To war, I'm afraid. The Queen has had to make the most difficult decision of her life. She doesn't believe in fighting, We are a peaceful people..." Her words felt like hammers in the Force and queen sounded more as her name than a title. Her mind and her emotions could mark as no other than the Queen.

"Sometimes the only way to ensure that you remain peaceful is that some sacrifice their peace to ensure the rest don't have to."

"And you are?"

"Oh this is Aliora. She is also a Master Jedi."

"I know we stopped for another, but you barely look old enough to be a master."

"And you barely look old enough to be a..." I saw a flash of fear. No, she did not want me to say what I knew. "I am older than you see. Position can not be judged by age do you not agree?"

"I see." She watched me as I stood at the same time the ship landed. As soon as the door was open I was out and several meters away from the ship. As I moved I opened myself fully to the Force to feel the area. Only to startle the local birds. I looked back as the rest exited the ship and a small squad came out of the bushes to greet them. I moved back to the group and smiled seeing Anakin's shock at how fast I had moved. I forget not everyone has seen a Jedi move.

"That was some entry. I nearly shot you myself just appearing like that."

"You would have only injured yourself." I moved to raise my hood as my helm assembled itself around my head.

"I would have been sad to have injured our contact team." I felt his apprehension as he visibly swallowed his fear.
