Rocky Gone Rogue
Hey guys, Charisma here! I know that some of you are probably wondering, 'Why didn't Charisma give a detailed explanation of Eleftherios in chapter 4? We barely know anything about him!' Well, that's because chapter 5 now exists! This chapter will focus pretty heavily on both sides, and might even be my longest chapter yet (not much of a record when your longest chapter to date has only about 1,900 words, but still.) It will have A LOT to do with my first and newest OC, and will hopefully enjoyed and accepted by you guys! You do know that you all mean a lot to me. Writing helps with my anxiety, and when you guys review, it just makes me so happy that I can make at least one person happier out there! Thanks for that, guys! Also, after this chapter is released, I will start working not yet on chapter 6, but chapter 1 of my new short story, 'Ulysses' Lyrical', focusing on Eleftherios' life (obviously it won't be an actual Greek lyric, but the name sounds cool, so, yeah, I'm sticking with it). Oh, and one last thing; All the PAW Patrol members except Ryder (who is 10) are 7 human years old. But, I digress. Let's jump right in, shall we?
Disclaimer: I don't own PAW Patrol, but I do own Eleftherios, so if you wanna use him in your own Fanfic, just ask. Most likely I will agree.
Chapter 5: Hope and Heart
As Rocky and Eleftherios walked down the street, making sure to keep an eye out for humans and other dogs, Rocky forgot to ask why the blue-eyed collie pup had been digging around in an abandoned alleyway dumpster in the first place. "What if he's homeless?" he thought as he tried to find the words, trying not to be awkward. "H-hey, Eleftherios, why were you even digging around in a dumpster? Don't you have a home?"
Eleftherios sighed. "Naí, yes, I have a home, I'm just scared to go back, you know? My owners will be really frightened if they see me. I don't know what I'm gonna- perímene, wait, yesterday was the day I turned into a werepup, and they were packing up to- Yeah! They're going off to see their family in Greece for a couple days! I totally forgot! I don't even have to worry about them seeing me cause they're probably already at the airport by now. We could sleep in my yard, we'll be plenty warm and safe there. Plus, I know where the key is to the back door and how to unlock it, so we will have all the ood we'll need. But we probably shouldn't sleep inside, my owners are sticklers for cleanliness."
Rocky was very happy he now had a safe place to set up camp instead of sleeping in a gang-ruled alleyway, but he was also intrigued about Eleftherios' owners, more so now than before. "What are your owners like?" He asked, a lot more confidently this time, now that he knew that the subject wasn't a sensitive one.
"They're really nice people, an old Greek-immigrant couple who moved here to Chattilan from a small village in rural France." he said cheerfully.
Rocky thought that was pretty neat. "They came from France? Do they know French?"
"Naí, they know fluent French. They met each other there, got married there, and even continued living there for twenty years! They found me on the streets two years before they moved here, so I know both fluent French and Greek, along with a couple other languages like Russian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese,..." He trailed off.
Rocky stood there in shock! This was almost too much to take in! "S-s-so, how'd you get to France in the first place?" He asked.
"I was born there. My mother abandoned me when I was very young, as I was the runt of the litter, and had the colouring of the male she had divorced, whom she hated. I reminded her of him, so she decided to put me in an abandoned metal safe, leaving the door open so someone could find me. Luckily it was summer, so I didn't freeze to death, but I did nearly die of starvation, until Tobias, my owner, found me and brought me to his home. He and his wife Lydia cared for me and nurtured me back to health. During the two years I spent there in France, I learned fluent French and Greek, as my owners loved to travel around Europe and Asia. Eventually Tobias got a job offer here in Chattilan as a travel agent, and as he knew many languages and had a lot of experience traveling, he decided to take the job. Since then I have lived in our little house in the suburbs with them."
"Wow, that's awesome Eleftherios! By the way, is your name Greek too? Did they name you?" Rocky asked inquisitively.
Eleftherios sighed and smiled, but had a hint of sadness etched in his voice. "Yes, they named me, though I did have a name that my biological mother gave me, but I was so young, and as she never really said it to me, I don't remember what it was. I can only ever recall being called Eleftherios."
They continued walking in awkward, sad silence as they rounded the street corner- and came face to face with the Ruff Ruff Pack.
"Well what do we have here?" Hubcap said, chuckling maliciously. "Looks like a couple hairy, hideous, and homeless runts looking for trouble."
"You should talk, smallfry!" growled Eleftherios, glaring at the small bulldog in front of him.
"Ooohhh, ho ho! Feisty, are we? Gasket! Dwayne! Let's give them what for!"
Dwayne and Gasket moved in to pin them down and beat them up, but the two werepups, being werepups, were a whole lot faster. They got around them as they tried to tackle them, pinned the down, and sent them flying with a mighty throw. Hubcap looked on fearfully as his two loyal (and admittedly better) followers were flung high and far into the nearby park across the street. Thankfully, no one else was around to see the humiliation, and as soon as Rocky and Eleftherios turned around to face him, he was already running as fast as his little legs could take him.
Eleftherios began to lunge for him, but Rocky held him back. "Epitrépste mou se aftón! Let me at him!" yelled the collie as he struggled to free himself from Rocky's grasp. "Don't incite the conflict! Just let him go!" Yelled Rocky as he tried to restrain his friend from running off.
"But- but." He sighed, and nodded. "Oh, alright. Let's go. We should hurry to the flower shop before the lunchtime rush. It'll be hectic." And with that, they began running south again. A certain cat, though, sitting atop the city hall, activated his pup tag (or in his case, a cat tag) and said, "Ryder, I think I found him."
Wildcat had been in Chattilan for only about fifteen minutes, wandering around the streets. He had arrived from Sunflower Valley in record time, only taking him about thirty minutes of driving down the windy road, going 120 km/h while calmly listening to his tunes on his supersonic bike. But as soon as he heard the Ruff Ruff Pack, he was there; well, maybe not there there, he climbed on the city hall's bell tower, similar to that of Adventure Bay's, and watched the unfolding chaos, that turned out to be rather hilarious. He saw Rocky and his companion, and, after calling Ryder, thought it best to follow them.
Ryder was ecstatic at the fact that Rocky had been found. "Great job, Wildcat! We're on our way!" He called the rest of the search teams, letting them know that Wildcat spotted Rocky in Chattilan. "Everyone, meet me at the town park in Chattilan as fast as you can."
"Sir, yes sir!" barked Chase, and all the rest of the pups nodded or howled in agreement., and off they drove to Chatillan, to find their long-lost friend.
A/N What do you think? Are Rocky and Eleftherios gonna find a sunflower? Are Ryder and the rest of the team gonna arrive in Chattilan in time? We'll see. Either way, hope you enjoyed, please review (seriously, no one reviewed after I posted chapter 4. Do you guys hate Eleftherios that much!?), and remember to spread the chaos! Peace, brethren.
