"We need speed," Skye said.

"You just want to use the Garage," Jack said.

"That too."

"You paying for gas?" Jack asked. Skye nodded.

"Fine."

The animals walked into the garage.

"Nick, Judy that's yours." Jack pointed at a tarp-covered vehicle. Nick walked over and threw off the tarp, curious.

"Oh, that's beautiful" Nick claimed into the driver's seat of the sleek black utility vehicle Judy climbed into the passenger seat. Nick's hands touched the steering wheel, which flashed. The vehicle turned on and a HUD appeared on the windshield.

"Welcome to the BearMW X5 Experimental Police Pursuit and Takedown Vehicle. My name is VAI, Vehicle Artificial Intelligence." A female voice chimed.

"They sure do love their acronyms," Judy said.

"On the HUD, Jack and Skye's faces appeared.

"The x5 was supposed to be a gift to you two for your 5th anniversary, but it seems like now is a much better time."

A Rhinos Royce pulled out of its parking spot, followed by a Pawche. Nick tapped the gas pedal and pulled up behind them. Jack stopped next to the dolphins and lynxes.

"Pick a car, guys."

The animals smiled. "We've got our own. We'll see you outside."

The three cars drove through a long tunnel and emerged into the parking lot. Nick looked over a saw a large truck with 3 different sections parked a few hundred feet away. On the side, a door opened and a platform with two vehicles that looked like a combination between ATVs and jetskis lowered to the ground. On the vehicles were the dolphins. They gunned their engines and fell in line behind them. Nick heard the chopping of helicopter blades and looked up to see the lynxes in a black military-style chopper.

"VAI get me the camera feeds for the western district." Nick heard Jack say. Images began to fly across the screen.

"There!" Judy yelled. She tapped a picture. It showed the humans turn onto an off-road in a red Racoon Rover.

"Of course. They're headed to their ship." Skye said.

"Come on. Let's step on it." Nick heard Delphin say. Nick pushed his foot down. The vehicles barreled towards the mountain.

The vehicles turned onto the rough path that led to the mountain. The helicopter that carried the lynxes sped through the air. It disappeared behind the trees as it slowly and started to land. They passed through a broken grate that was covered with signs telling people to stay out under the penalty of prosecution or death. All of the sudden, a fireball erupted from the side of the mountain.

"Step on it!" Jack said. The vehicles' engines roared as they climbed. Skye's Pawche was having trouble since it was a lowrider, but she still made good time. It seemed to take forever, but they finally rounded a bend and came up over the crest of a hill. The hanger doors had been blown open and they could see the large elevator shaft that led to the rest of the base inside the mountain. The lynxes helicopter was already empty. Near the door was the burning chassis of a red Raccoon Rover.

The animals ran to through the doors. Jack pressed a large green and a loud groaning could be heard deep in the shaft. After a few minutes, the ginormous cargo elevator appeared. They stepped on and the elevator began to decent. It came to a stop in a large cavern. Multiple experimental aircraft lay scattered in many stages of disassembly. Parked far away at the end of the caver was the humans' ship. Judy didn't like the fact she couldn't see any damage on it.

Multiple bodies of air force members laid on the ground. Red holes peppered their backs.

"Psst!" A voice said. They turned and saw the lynxes crouching down behind some crates.

Jack opened his mouth to say something when an ear-splitting blast shook the room. The lights of the ship turned on, blinding them.

"They're on the launch pad! If we don't stop them, they're going to fly right out of the mountain!" Jack had to shout to be heard over the engines of the ship.

They began to run to the vessel which was slowly tilting upward. Light began to pour down on it as the top of the mountain slid open. Just as they got close, the engine began to power-up. They were blown back by the force and heat.

Delphin pointed his watch at the rocket and pressed the button. A laser fired from the watch and cut into the engine. The rocket abruptly shut off, the ground beneath it red and charred.

They began to run forward and Port was somehow in the lead. Port ran to the ladder that went up the side of the ship and began to climb. Delphin was about to climb on as well when he heard a low hum.

"Port!"

A flash of blue surrounded the entire ship. They had activated the shield. There wasn't even a scream, only a slight sizzle as the dolphin scientist disintegrated before their very eyes.

"Port!" Delphin cried again. They were all blown back as the engines fired again. They had no choice. They ran. They reached the elevator and the primary engines activated. A wave of fire rolled towards them as the elevator rose. At the last second, they disappeared into the shaft. But they quickly noticed the center of the elevator began to glow. When they reached the surface, the glow had spread so they had very little space left. The metal in the center started to swell.

"RUN!" Jack screamed. They ran through the busted hanger doors and took cover behind the cars. Skye's Pawche was too close to the doors so when the metal popped like a bubble, the firestorm that flew forth wholly destroyed the car.

They looked up as the rocket soared up into the air from the top of the mountain peak. delphin gritted his teeth and ran back to the ATV. He opened a compartment and brought out a heavy-duty rocket launcher. He aimed it at the ship and fired.

"Sam, I'm going to check the airlock." Sam nodded as he watched the sky above grow darker. James climbed down the ladder.

"Warning: Object detected. Detected object capable of breaching shields. Object course is deemed to be detrimental to cockpit safety. Activating protection measures."

James lunged back towards the cockpit but it was too late. The blast door sealed shut. James looked out the window at the small shape that had a firey tail coming closer.

"James!" Sam yelled. "Computer! Manual override safety protocols."

"Denied. My programming will not allow the entire crew to die when some might be saved."

"NO! Dammit!" Sam screamed. "JAMES!"

The side of the ship erupted into a fireball. However, it kept flying going farther and farther away until it was just a yellow dot in the sky.

Two men sat in chairs and cried. One for his brother, the other for his lost friend.

Again this scene is an overly exaggerated version of something that happened to me in real life. if you can guess this one, you'll get a special reward. (I highly doubt you guys get this one)
