-CHAPTER 6-

A/ N: Major timeskip, because I don't think anything too important happened in the quest, so sorry not sorry lol. Recap, Arion is now Hazel's and the Amazons agreed to help Camp Jupiter as soon as that Otrera bitch is dead.

THEO

Theo, Frank, and Hazel approached what looked like a copy of Camp Jupiter, but instead of bustling with life, it was cold and barren. Like a wasteland.

"This is it?" Frank asked. Theo looked skeptical, but one look of the chained figure in the middle of the camp assured him.

"Yup, apparently. I can see Thanatos." Theo said. "Right there." He pointed. "Come on, let's go. Get out your weapons, we don't know what this place is hiding."

The three demigods slowly crept towards the god of death. As soon as they came near him, all three gasped.

"You're – you're Cupid!" Frank stuttered.

The god of death looked up from his chains. "Ah, young demigod. You mistake me for the god of love. Alas, it is acceptable. Love and death aren't so different anyway. Now, perhaps you could free me of these chains?"

Theo nodded, and pulled out his sword. He slashed the chains with all his might, but found his sword bouncing off harmlessly off the chains.

"The chains can only be broken by a sacrifice. I think you know what I mean, Frank Zhang." Thanatos said.

Frank's eyes widened, before nodding slowly, and grabbing a piece of wood incased in layers of cloth from his pocket inside his jacket.

"What's that, Frank?" Hazel asked, curious. "A piece of wood?"

Frank took a deep breath, "Hazel, Theo. I'm cursed." He blatantly stated. "This piece of wood is my life. If it burns out, I die. Like, die die. I go to Pluto's realm. But if Thanatos says I have to burn his chains with this, then I'll do it. For Olympus. Pray I'll get Elysium."

"Wait, Frank!" Hazel shouted. She turned to Thanatos. "Are you sure this is the only way to free you, my lord?"

Thanatos sighed. "Try all you want, half-bloods, but you cannot break these chains. If you could, I would've broken free myself. Frank Zhang only has to burn four chains. There is a chance he will live." He turned to face Frank. "If you die, you die a hero's death, child. Remember that. You do not need anyone's prayer to enter Elysium. But, I pray you do not die today, I can sense you have a bigger role to play, son of Mars."

Frank took a deep breath, before taking out his stick from the cloth. Suddenly a giant figure emerged from the shadows.

He cackled evilly, "Welcome, welcome, demigods!"

The giant was at least twenty-five feet tall, perhaps even more, and towered above the demigods. "Oh, excuse me, where are my manners! I am Alcyoneus, the eldest of the giants, born to oppose Pluto! As you can see here, I have his own lieutenant chained to a rock. He hasn't relented to me yet, but someday he will be my lieutenant, whether he likes it or not!"

"Frank." Theo said. "Focus on getting Thanatos out, however you're gonna do it. Hazel, if you don't mind, could you help me with Alcyoneus?"

Hazel nodded determinedly, and Frank replied, "Got it, Theo. Wish me luck."

Frank returned next to Thanatos, and began lighting his stick on fire. Theo pulled out his celestial bronze sword, and Hazel her spatha.

Alcyoneus narrowed his eyes. "Is that Celestial Bronze, boy? How did you get it?"

Theo looked weirded out, and didn't answer. Instead, he charged full on with his sword. Alcyoneus looked stunned for a moment, before recovering and holding his own.

The giant quickly summoned his minions and kept Theo busy.

Alcyoneus turned to Hazel, and grinned.

"Remember me, dear Hazel? You were the one to revive me, remember?" he smirked triumphantly. "And now you will fall by my blade. Come, daughter of Pluto, meet the true master of death!"

FRANK

Frankly, Frank was having a bad day.

He was burning Thanatos' chains with his life-stick. And if that particular stick burned out, he died.

So, yeah, he was having a bad day.

After the fourth chain broke, Frank quickly pulled off the piece of wood and buried it deep in the snow, making sure the fire was put out. After the fire was put out, he safely encased it in cloth, and put it inside his jacket.

Frank turned to Thanatos. "Are you going to help, my lord?" he asked, hopeful.

Thanatos smiled, but shook his head. "I believe another god is supposed to help you, child. I, on the other hand must reap souls."

With that, Thanatos opened his wings and flew off, as Frank racked his brain about who could possibly help them in the middle of an Alaskan glacier.

He glanced at Theo, who was in his personal hurricane, fending off against Alcyoneus' minios, and Hazel, who was holding her own against a giant.

"Alcyoneus." A cold voice said from behind him. "Still the same, I see. Fighting demigods where you are truly immortal. In the lands beyond the gods, no less. Do you even have any amount of dignity?"

A hooded man walked out of the shadows, and Alcyoneus stopped bashing Hazel, and narrowed his eyes.

"Show your face, fool." Alyconeus said.

The man took off his hood, and revealed an eerily-similar face to that of Theo's, who was currently fighting Alcyoneus' minions. The man was about 6'4", had neatly trimmed jet-black hair and sea-green eyes. He had a slight tan and, though not that bulging, had quite visible muscles on his arms. He looked to be around 30 years old, possible older. He wore some light armor over a classic roman tunic, and had a laurel wreath worn on his head. Kind of like a black-haired, green-eyed Apollo.

Alcyoneus gasped, "YOU! YOU WILL PAY TO WHAT YOU DID IN TARTARUS!" he bellowed, before charging the man, completely ignoring Hazel.

The man unsheathed a gleaming sword, and sparks flew as the two fought. Frank rushed towards Hazel, who was panting heavily.

"You know who that guy is?" Frank asked his friend. Hazel took a short glance at the man, and her eyes went wide.

"How do you not know him?" Hazel asked in disbelief. "Do you even pay attention at the Roman History classes?"

When she received no answer, and just a rather sheepish smile from Frank, who was rubbing his neck, she rolled her eyes. "That's Lord Tempus. The newly-restored Olympian. Bane of Jupiter. Wielder of Cogitatio, practically the most powerful sword in existence. He's the god of time and heroes."

"Wait a second." Frank put up a 'T' sign with his hands. "I though the bane of Jupiter was Porphyrion, the king of the giants?"

Hazel rolled her eyes again at this. "He was the bane of Jupiter, all until a couple of years ago, when Tempus returned from Tartarus, and killed Jupiter. This is why you pay attention in class, Frank."

"OI HALF BLOODS!" Tempus yelled from the battlefield. "You done making out yet? Here, attach these chains to him. He's unconscious, but bang your shield on his head a couple of times, just for good measure. Then call your crazy sailor-horse and take him to the Canadian border. I'll meet you there."

With that, Tempus flashed away, only to be seen flashing behind Theo, helping him clear out the minions. They weren't strong, sure, but there were a lot of them, and a demigod could only take so much. It was clear that Theo was tired, since the super-hurricane that he conjured up a few minutes ago was only a bare circle-pattern of wind.

A shocked Hazel and Frank quickly went to work, both blushing uncontrollably. Frank chained Alcyoneus, while Hazel called for Arion and banged her shield on his head a couple of times, just as Tempus instructed.

Arion came, and a couple of seconds later, they were at the Canadian border. Surprisingly, Alcyoneus had only set up camp within a few miles of the Canadian border. Tempus flashed beside the two, but Theo was nowhere to be seen.

Frank cautiously approached the god. "Erm, my lord? Where is Theo?"

"He'll be fine. He's somewhere below the glacier." Tempus answered.

Hazel's eyes widened at the thought of her friend below the freezing Alaskan glacier. "Um, my lord? Is he going to okay?" she asked, rather carefully, not to anger the god.

"Of course he'll be okay, daughter of Pluto." He said. "He's a son of Neptune, remember? I'd thought you'd be smarter than this, erm, no offense."

Hazel's cheeks reddened a bit, and she nodded. "Sorry, my lord. I'm just worried, is all."

"That's understandable. Now, let us finish the deed I have come here to help you with." He said. The three walked over to Alcyoneus, just as he was opening his eyes, groggy after being bashed with a shield, repeatedly.

He sat up slowly, scanning his surroundings. He glanced at the three and smirked. "Fools." He said. "You cannot kill me in my homeland."

Tempus cracked a grin at that. "You're not in your homeland, Al."

"Welcome to Canada." Hazel said, before thrusting her sword right up Alcyoneus' stomach.

The giant roared in pain. "IMPOSSIBLE!"

"Next time, set up your camp a bit further from the Canadian border, bud." Tempus grinned scarily. "See you in Tartarus."

Tempus banged the flat of Cogitatio on the giant's head, and he disappeared, leaving back golden dust. Tempus turned to face the half-bloods, and he gave them a small smile. "You did well, half-bloods. I am sure we will meet again. Till next time."

HAZEL

With that, the god flashed away, and Theo was shot out of the water. Hazel and Frank quickly came over their shock, and rushed towards the son of Neptune.

"Theo! Are you okay?" Hazel said.

To both of their surprise, the young demigod began laughing. "Damn!" he said between laughs. "That was cool!"

Hazel rolled her eyes. "I take it you're okay?"

"Yeah." He nodded. "Thanks for worrying though. But I'm okay, and guess what! I found the legion's lost eagle down there! And also a bunch of imperial gold! Reyna's gonna be super happy, that's for sure."

"The first thing that comes in mind when you find the long-lost eagle of the legion is Reyna?" Hazel said slyly. "That's so sweet."

Theo's cheeks reddened, "Shut up and make out with your boyfriend, Levesque."

"Hey, don't drag me into this!" Frank yelled indignantly.

"Never said you were her girlfriend, did I now, Frankie?" Theo smirked.

"Shut up Jackson." He grumbled.

The three of them laughed, and called for Arion. There was an unused chariot nearby Alcyoneus' camp, and they used it to load the eagle and the imperial gold items.

And with that, the three questers headed for Camp Jupiter.

PERCY

Percy – no, Tempus – flashed into the hunter's camp. They were currently in New Jersey.

As soon as Tempus stepped into the camp, the hunters bowed, careful not to anger to Roman god. Tempus hadn't actually met the hunters yet, since he was never roman before his banishment, and had developed his roman aspect slowly in Tartarus. Tempus was born in around the medieval times, so to speak. Around the years 900 – 1100.

"Lord Tempus." Zoe greeted respectfully. The hunters didn't actually know how to greet the god, since this was technically their first meeting. Zoe decided it was better to be safe than sorry.

Tempus looked at her weirdly. "It's me, Zo. Are you Zoe? Why so respectful suddenly?"

"Percy?" Phoebe tried.

Tempus' form shifted. His hair grew longer, and more untamed, his wreath disappeared, and his 6'4" frame shortened a bit to around 6'1". His armor and tunic disappeared, replaced by a green T-shirt and knee-length jeans.

"Percy!" the hunters chorused, and hugged the god.

"So it seems I have some competition, don't I Percy?" a melodious voice said from behind.

"Oh, don't be so hard on him, milady." Phoebe chided. "He just fought with a bunch of romans. He's probably in a bad mood."

Percy's form shifted again, reverting back to Tempus for a moment.

Tempus glowered at Phoebe. "And what makes you think fighting alongside heroic roman soldiers turns me into a bad mood, girl? Do not test my patience."

Phoebe paled and bowed. "Of course, Lord Tempus. I was – I was merely c-concerned." He stuttered, a rare sight to see.

Tempus just smirked triumphantly and turned into Percy. "Ha! I was just kidding, Pheebs."

He and Artemis, joined with a bunch of hunters, cracked a grin and laughed. Phoebe's pale face started to have some color back, before turning red in anger and embarrassment.

"DO NOT DO THAT TO ME AGAIN, PERCY!" she yelled furiously, punching him in the shoulder.

"Ouch." Percy rubbed his shoulder. "That hurt, Pheebs. Both my heart and my body." He said dramatically.

"Drama Queen." Zoe teased, adding another punch on to his shoulder.

"Ow! Seriously, what has gotten into you girls? You're a lot more violent than I remember you being. Did a spirit of Ares influence you or something?" Percy complained.

"Shut up, you big baby. Enjoy the pain." Artemis said smugly, before kissing him on the cheek."

REVIEWS

Outis02: Oh yeah, I'll try to fix it. Thanks, Outis02 :)

Mando: Sorry to disappoint, Mando. I'll be trying my best to do chapters. Thanks :)

Baby yoda: Oops. You caught me red handed, Baby yoda. I'll just be straightforward, I don't have an updating schedule. Or if I have, it's a fucking messy one lol. Cool nickname though, wish I'd thought about it.

A/N

I KNOW

I'm a dick.

Cuss at me all you want in the reviews lol.

I know, I said I wouldn't abandon this book, and then I just ignore it for more or less two weeks.

Sorry, sorry.

But, I did say that I am also not that into the PJO fandom anymore, and I gave out a disclaimer at the end of the previous chapter.

I guess I still have some PJO fandom in me, it's just decreased a lot.

Thanks to those who've stuck around :)
