Chapter 9: More information and the Book of Mudora

Zero approached Sahasrahla and handed him the Pendant, he hoped this would be worth it. "Oh? You have returned with the pendant!? Then I shall tell you more of the Master Sword and where to find it." Sahasrahla spoke for awhile about the Master Sword and the 'magical' powers it contained before he finally told him about the other two pendants and where to find both them and the Master Sword. "I would offer you an artifact passed down through generations the Pegasus boots, which allow the wearer to run far faster than normal, but it looks like they wont fit you."

"It's fine. My acceleration system is almost repaired." Sahasrahla was not certain what Zero meant by 'acceleration system' but whatever he meant, he was strong and fast that much was clear.

"Before you head to the desert, stop by a cave southeast of here by the lake and the library outside the Kakariko, the cave has a weapon that should help you in the desert and the library has a book that will definitely be of use to you, the Book of Mudora, will help you translate the old Hylian script and may give you some insight into the wizard and his powers." Zero nodded and ran off towards the lake.

He rather quickly found the cave Sahasrahla had mentioned, finding a silver staff with what looked to be a sapphire on the end of it and a carrying sling for it. Scanning the staff yielded some rather odd energy readings that were similar to the ice wielding foes he had battled over the years. He tried charging it up like his Z-buster and a jet of ice shot out the end of the staff. Zero slung the staff over his back and headed back to the village and encountered more guards before entering the library.

The library wasn't very large, in fact it only had six bookcases, and he rather quickly found the Book of Mudora. The book was old and green with golden colored trim, it had yellowed pages and was a fairly thick book. Zero carefully set the book on a table and began to scan the pages, the language section of the book was finished quickly and it was when reading over the stories for information that he found something odd. A sketch of a Cyber-Elf, by itself this would not be weird, what made it so was the accompanying text 'Fairies, whilst often harmless and in some cases helpful healers, these small glowing beings are not to be trifled with as they are capable of bringing mayhem and ruin to all who upset them.' Zero didn't understand how a place so technologically empty could have Cyber-Elves, and why were they being called fairies? Zero gave a puzzled grunt and closed the book before heading into the desert to find the next pendant.
