-Blitz League Broadcast Booth-

"Good evening ladies and gentleman. I'm Chris Benson, and I'm here for your week three Blitz League game-day recap." Chris said as the footage quickly brought up the first game of the evening to discuss. "We start off in Division 3, where the Hounds where barking today with a win at San Diego." Chris said as the footage now showed highlights of the Hounds offense. "Division 3 MVP candidate Conrad Damon had himself a rough outing against Cyclones star rookie linebacker, Robert McNeill. McNeill had two interceptions and a sack against Damon who barely had any time to throw in the face of relentless pressure. Good news for Damon and the hounds was that Cyclones backup quarterback Billy Batch played about as bad as you could play." Chris said as the highlights showed Billy fumbling the snap, getting sacked and knocked down multiple times, and throwing six interceptions. "Despite the heroic efforts of the Cyclones defense, the Hounds win it 20-9." Chris informed the audience.

"Shut up." Marty hissed as he quickly changed the channel away from the Blitz League Network. "Our defense is ranked in the top 10, problem is our offense is ranked last in yards, points, and scoring. It's bad when your kicker leads your offense in points." Marty sighed as he took a swig from his glass of water. "What do you think, Clint?" Marty asked his General Manager.

"Our defense is playing like a Division 2 contending team, while our offense is playing worse than the Baltimore Bearcats passing attack–"

"That's harsh." Marty interrupted.

"Sadly it's true though. We bet out future on Grant being healthy this season. Turns out we lost the bet. We're 1-2, our backup quarterbacks had more interceptions than completions, and our running game is piss poor. Put bluntly, me might need a complete overhaul come this off-season. New coach–"

"I'm not firing Paul." Marty interrupted. "He's a highly respected coach, and the players really like him. He's won in the past, we just need to build a championship team not only around our coach, but also Robert, and Grant, when he's healthy again." Marty quickly added.

"I just got off the phone with Marco before this meeting, and he's saying the fan-base is starting to turn sour after two straight ugly losses–"

"Every fan base is like that when the teams losing. Remember, Tampa Bay barely had a loyal fan-base until 'Franchise' snubbed the L.A. Riot and decided to play for Tampa Bay. Gotta admit, 'Franchise' had a lot of balls in snubbing that bastard Hanson by refusing to play for the Riot, and instead playing for his hometown team. To get back on point, look at the Hurricanes fan-base now that the team not only the Division One Championship, but has become a winning football team. The fans went from bitching every year, to not complaining at all. Put simply, we win games, they'll stop complaining, in the meantime we're just going to have to hear their complaints until we start winning again..."

"This just in from our sources in New York. Nightmare veteran receiver Carter Langford is out for the remainder of the season with a torn ACL, ouch." Chris said in a sympathetic tone as Carters picture flashed across the screen. "Langford was already behind the eight ball so to say. This is his fifth injury in seven seasons in the league, and almost all of them more serious than the last. With him being in the last year of his contract, will the Nightmare take a risk and re-sign the injury prone veteran?" Chris asked into the camera as he paused to take a breath.

"Let's move on and unto the subject of players who will be Free Agents in the coming off-season." Chris said as the screen now showed a list of the top players who would become Free Agents. "Top defensive Free Agent will me Aces linebacker Amos Newell. I'd expect the Aces to do everything they can to resign their star captain, or else Amos, who's expressed interest in joining the Hammerheads, will find a new home in South Beach, that being Miami." Chris said in an optimistic tone.

"My top offensive Free Agent is Grizzlies running back Tyler Neal. Don't expect him to be on the market for long at all though. Since Neal is the fastest runner in the league, I expect him to draw much interest the moment he becomes available. Until next time, I'm Chris Benson, and your watching the Blitz League Network."
