WWE Vengeance was live at the Charlotte Bobcats Arena in Charlotte, North Carolina. In the first televised match, Randy Orton faced Kurt Angle. In the early stages both superstars took the advantage over one another. Angle controlled most of the match, as Orton tried to avoid Angle's assaults. Angle tried to perform a suplex on Orton off the ring apron, but did not perform the move. This was followed by Angle performing a belly to back suplex on Orton on the outside ring floor. Mid-way in the match, Orton attempted to perform an RKO, but he countered by pushing Orton to the turnbuckle. Orton took the padding off the turnbuckle, leaving it exposed. Following this, Angle began performing a series of German suplexes on Orton. Angle then applied the ankle lock hold. Orton, however, flipped over and sent Angle face-first into the exposed turnbuckle. As he turned around, Orton performed the RKO, and covered Angle to gain the pinfall victory.
The next match was between Umaga and Eugene. Before the match got underway, Eugene invited Jim Duggan, Doink the Clown, and Kamala down to ringside. Umaga, who stood at 6 feet 4 inches (1.93 m) and weighed 350 pounds (160 kg), used his body size to his advantage as he squashed, or easily and quickly performed moves on, Eugene. The match concluded with Umaga performing the Samoan Spike to the throat of Eugene. Umaga pinned Eugene to win the match. After the match, Umaga attacked Jim Duggan and Doink the Clown.
In the next match, Mick Foley faced Ric Flair in a 2-Out-of-3 Falls Match. Foley gained the advantage after he executed a Double Underhook DDT. Foley then began to taunt Flair and took out Mr. Socko, a dirty sock puppet, dressed like Flair. Foley controlled most of the match, until he attempted to apply the Figure-Four Leglock, but Flair countered with an inside cradle over Foley to win the first fall. Frustrated, Foley grabbed a trash can from under the ring and brought it to the ring to hit Flair with it. But, Flair avoided the attacked, as he tripped Foley to apply the Figure-Four Leglock. At the end, Foley got disqualified when he hit Flair with the trash can. The referee awarded Flair the win. After the match, Foley attacked Flair with a barb-wired bat, leaving Flair busted open.
The fourth match was a triple threat match, for the WWE Intercontinental Championship, in which champion Shelton Benjamin defended the title against Carlito and Johnny Nitro. The match began with Carlito performing a springboard moonsault from the ring apron hitting both Nitro and Benjamin in the process. A spot in the match saw Carlito set up Nitro in a Tree of Woe. Carlito stood on the turnbuckle, in which Benjamin followed by jumping up with Carlito. Nitro then hit Benjamin with a powerbomb, while Benjamin dropped Carlito, making both men hit the mat. Later in the match, Carlito performed a backcracker on Benjamin. Nitro, who was thrown out of the ring, returned and removed Carlito from making the cover on Benjamin. He instead covered Benjamin for the pinfall victory, thus becoming the new Intercontinental champion.
Next up was the Hell in a Cell match.
In the arena, the Hell in a Cell had lowered to the ring and contained it when Omen in the Sky hits to boos and out comes the Jackal who has his cold eyes on the Hell in a Cell he has only been in once before and that was a match he lost. This was his second time inside Hell in a Cell.
Jackal enters the cell then rolls into the ring and tosses his jacket aside as his theme dies down as he stares at the entrance, waiting for his opponent.
OOOOOOWHOOOOOO!
The Devil's Wolf plays to a loud pop and the lights dim to a blood red and out comes the Bladewolf. The Demon Wolf stops at the doorway of the cell and takes his coat off then tosses his metallic mask aside, revealing the demonic wolf mask underneath. He then enters the cell, grabbing the door behind him and slams it shut without taking his eyes off of Jackal.
Bladewolf enters the ring as his theme dies down and the two former best friends and tag team partners glare each other down before the referee calls for the bell.
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
Bladewolf and Jackal walk forward and go eye to eye, leaning their foreheads against one another, mouthing off before they back up then suddenly rush at each other and go back and fourth with rights before Bladewolf ducks a right and floors Jackal with a hard uppercut that echoed then rebounds off the ropes and dropkicks Jackal in the chest. Bladewolf stomps away on Jackal viciously before backing off as jackal tries to recover. Bladewolf walks over and grabs him from behind before hitting a German Suplex across the ring, sending Jackal rolling out of it. Bladewolf gets to his feet and walks over, exiting the ring as Jackal gets to a knee but Bladewolf grabs him from behind before launching him into the cell wall.
Bladewolf then Irish whips jackal into the cell wall, sending him down. Bladewolf grabs Jackal and sends him back into the ring. He rolls in, grabs Jackal and Irish whips him off the ropes but they both meet with shoulder blocks that doesn't take them down. Jackal runs and rebounds off the ropes but Bladewolf got behind Jackal and hits a German Suplex, sending Jackal across the ring.
Bladewolf gets to his feet and walks towards the challenger and stomps on his back before dragging him into the corner where he relentlessly stomps away before backing off. Bladewolf runs and crashes his knee into Jackal's body, pulls him away from the corner and goes for the cover. ONE! TWO! THR-! Jackal kicked out at two.
Bladewolf grabs Jackal in a waist lock before hitting a second German Suplex. He holds on as he then hits another German Suplex, then another, then another, and then another, hitting six in a row. Bladewolf lays on Jackal and drives his knees into Jackal's knees before hooking the leg but Jackal kicks out at two again. Bladewolf rolls out of the ring and looks underneath it, pulling out a steel chair and slides back into the ring, looking to hit Jackal...BUT JACKAL HITS A SPINEBUSTER OUT OF NOWHERE!
Jackal hooks the leg but Bladewolf kicks out at two. Jackal gets to his feet and stomps away on Bladewolf, dropping his knee to Bladewolf's gut. Jackal then picks up the steel chair and begins using it on Bladewolf, smacking the chair off his arms, legs, chest, back, anywhere he can hit to injure his opponent. Jackal then tosses the chair aside before picking Bladewolf up and gets him onto his shoulders but Bladewolf rights back with elbows to Jackal's head and then gets off before hitting a DDT out of nowhere.
Bladewolf sits up quickly and gets to his feet. He runs and hits an elbow drop on Jackal's chest before hammering away at Jackal's skull violently until Jackal is busted open! Bladewolf smirks at the blood before continuing the assault and the referee pulls him away to check on Jackal who says he wants to go ahead.
Bladewolf paces as Jackal slowly gets to his feet and runs at him, only to be taking down in a MMA style to gain the upper hand, punching anywhere on Jackal's body. Bladewolf knees Jackal in the side of the ribs before headbutting him multiple times, getting blood across his forehead. Bladewolf wipes it off before standing up, pulls Jackal to his feet and onto his shoulders... WHERE HE HITS THE WOLF'S HOWL! HE HOOKS THE LEG! ONE! TWO! THRE-! JACKAL KICKS OUT BEFORE THREE!
Bladewolf looked wide eyed at Jackal before he shakes his head then gets to his feet and grabs Jackal, tossing him out of the ring and follows him. Bladewolf grabs Jackal and then tosses him into the steel steps, causing Jackal to hold his shoulder. Bladewolf picks Jackal up and looks at the steel ring post, looking to bash Jackal's head off it...BUT JACKAL PUSHES BLADEWOLF HEAD FIRST INTO THE STEEL POST!
Bladewolf fell to a knee and Jackal takes advantage by picking up another steel chair...AND WHACKS IT OFF BLADEWOLF'S BACK!
Bladewolf falls onto his hands and knees and Jackal uses this chance to lull a sledgehammer out from underneath the ring...AND DRIVES IT INTO BLADEWOLF'S GUT!
Jackal tosses the hammer aside and grabs Bladewolf before bouncing his head off the steel cell then tosses him into it. Jackal then places Bladewolf's head against the cell wall and grinds it against the steel, causing Bladewolf to yell in pain as he can feel the steel ripping his flesh and blood beginning to flow out. Jackal bounces Bladewolf's face off the cell wall then picks up a steel chair, waits until Bladewolf turns around...AND CRACKS HIM IN THE FACE WITH THE STEEL CHAIR!
Bladewolf goes down onto his back before Jackal tosses Bladewolf back into the ring and then looks underneath it for something, pulling out a table and slides it into the ring, rolling into the ring after it. He picks the table up and sets it up into the middle of the ring. He then delivers a hard right to Bladewolf's skull and goes to pick him up, but Bladewolf suddenly lifts him into a Fireman's Carry...AND HITS THE WOLF'S HOWL THROUGH THE TABLE! HE GETS AN ARM OVER JACKAL! ONE! TWO! THRE-! NO! JACKAL KICKED OUT! THAT WAS A CLOSE 3 COUNT THOUGH!
Bladewolf struggles to get to his feet, wiping the blood through his hair that was already stained blood red by the dried blood now. Bladewolf gets to his feet and waks over to Jackal, picking him up and Irish whips him into the corner before hitting a turnbuckle clothesline then rolls out the ring, looks underneath and pulls out two tables and tosses them back into the ring.
Sliding back in, Bladewolf sets the two tables up, stacking one on top of the other and turns around only to be booted in the gut then lifted up into the powerbomb position by Jackal...WHO HITS THE JACKAL BOMB THROUGH THE TWO TABLES! HE HOOKS THE LEG! ONE! TWO! THRE-! BLADEWOLF KICKS OUT!
Jackal growls in anger and annoyance before he gets to his feet, picks Bladewolf up and tosses him out of the ring. Jackal follows, lifts Bladewolf up and tosses him into the cell wall before taking a few steps back. He sprints...AND SPEARS BLADEWOLF THROUGH THE CELL WALL!
The crowd were cheering like crazy! 'Holy Shit! Holy Shit! Holy Shit!
Jackal was the the first to his feet and grabbed Bladewolf before lifting him up...AND SLAMS HIM THROUGH THE ANNOUNCE TABLE! Jackal leans against the cell wall before he grabs Bladewolf and began beating him down real bad before he stops then looks up at the top of the cell and smirks before he begins climbing it to cheers from the fans.
Bladewolf struggles to get to his feet after all the pain he's gone through and see Jackal climbing the cell so he follows him. Jackal reaches the top and sees Bladewolf climbing as well so he backs away, gesturing for Bladewolf to bring it. Bladewolf reaches the top and stands up, staring daggers at Jackal who returns the same look. They run at each other and throw fists on top of the cell, going back and fourth with a fist for fist exchange.
Jackal boots Bladewolf in the gut and goes for a suplex off the cell but Bladewolf wiggles out, reverses it and hits his own suplex on top of the cell! Bladewolf gets to his feet, grabs Jackal and lifts him onto his shoulders, looking for a third Wolf's Howl but Jackal gets out of it, boots Bladewolf in the stomach then lifts him up...AND HITS THE JACKAL BOMB ON THE CELL!
Jackal falls onto his side, just dead tired and the blood loss wasn't helping, same with Bladewolf. Both men were exhausted but were not going to stop until one of them comes out the winner.
Jackal gets to his feet and walks over, grabbing Bladewolf and prepares to end this as he gets Bladewolf ready for another Jackal Bomb but Bladewolf falls to his knees...AND HITS A LOW BLOW!
Jackal yells as he falls down onto his back, coughing and groaning in pain. Both men were down. Bladewolf gets to his feet first, flipping his hair back before he grabs Jackal by the throat, lifts him up...AND CHOKESLAMS HIM THROUGH THE TOP OF THE CELL! JACKAL CRASHES INTO THE MAT BELOW!
Bladewolf climbs down through the top of the cell and grabs Jackal, scoops him up and holds him upside down in front of him...THEN HITS THE TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER! HE HOOKS THE LEGS! ONE! TWO! THREE! THE BLADEWOLF BEATS THE JACKAL!
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
The Devil's Wolf plays as Bladewolf rolls onto his back and breaths heavily a few times before he sits up and starts to laugh as he looks at the knocked out Jackal before getting to his feet, raises his arms and throws them down which makes fire shoot out the turnbuckles with an explosion, similar to Kane's turnbuckle pyro.
The cell is lifted and Bladewolf exits the ring, heading to the back as Jackal is tended to by EMTs. Bladewolf remains undefeated inside Hell in a Cell...
If you've noticed, Bladewolf has not lost inside Hell in a Cell at all! He's been in six Hell in a Cell matches throughout his career from 1997-2006 and has won all six, so he's undefeated inside Hell in a Cell.
