Summary/Disclaimer: Time for another chapter of When Dusk Falls. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own Destiny, Bungie and Microsoft do.
(House of Dusk flagship Ravager.)
The Dusk fleet approached with a dozen or so Skiffs escorting them. Raksil stood alongside the Kell who reclined on his throne.
"You know the Red Legion will track us down sooner or later." Raksil stated to the Kell as their Ketch traveled through space.
"How will camping at Titan help destroy Ghaul's army?" Raksil questioned while Sam looked at him.
"Because it will allow us to regroup and plan something new." Sam stated to Raksil while relaxing on his throne. "Ghaul is too dangerous to take head on." Sam added with annoyance.
(2 minutes later)
The first Dusk Skiff dropped off a pack of Dregs and a Dusk Captain. Another dropped off several Vandals which chattered among themselves.
Sam descended from the Ravager in Act on Instinct. He was glad the Jumpship had survived the siege. Sam watched as more Dusk Skiffs descended upon the former Golden City.
"We're securing the area, my Kell." Sam heard over the radio. "We're radio within the hour." Sam also heard from the radio.
Sam wondered how long it would be before another battle occurred. There was no way there was nobody on the planet.
"Look after each other in the meantime." Sam stated before teleporting out of the jumpship. He looked at the crew of Dusk Dregs and Vandals who stood around him.
"Let's have a look inside." Sam stated before drawing his hand canon. He gestured the Dusk soldiers inside and followed behind them.
Another Skiff landed behind the Kell. Raksil, Skriviks, Makor and Taksor with 2 Wretches alongside the group.
"Should I point out that there's signals coming from below?" Skriviks questioned Sam who turned to the Baroness.
"Signals?" Sam questioned before one of the Dusk Ketches flew overhead. "Hmm…" Sam stated to himself while sighing.
"Skriviks, set up savage operations and guard the permitter." Sam ordered before cracking his neck. "Raksil? Take Brandaks inside… I know how important a Servitor is to us. Makor? Tikor? Come with me." Sam before taking a breath for a second.
"We're investigate the signal. It isn't like we have much else to do." Sam muttered before beckoning the high-ranking Dusk Captains.
Raksil and Skriviks looked at each other. Both had their opinions on Sam's decision to relocate the house to Titan.
"He is the Kell, Raksil," Skriviks said. Remembering the former choking the Archon gave her before.
"The House of Dusk is devoted to survival." Raksil responded to the Baroness. "I only question the Kell's ideas." Raksil stated which made Skriviks.
"Eliksni do not question the orders of their Kell." Skriviks stated, reminding Raksil of their people's ways. "Besides. Our people will not survive warring with each other. We failed to defeat the Humans." Skriviks added before starting to walk away.
"It is not that I question Sam's orders." Raksil responded to Skriviks. "His victory over Skolas assured me is a good leader. I'm merely worried if he will choose his own people over us." Raksil put in which made Skriviks shake her head.
"Sam would not return to us or order us to retreat if he didn't care." Skriviks said before walking away from the Archon Priest.
(With Sam)
Sam continued to walk through the group of Dusk soldiers. He looked up at the stars.
"The House of Dusk was not an old creation, you know." Thaviks said as he strode up to the Kell.
"I know, Thaviks." Sam said and planted his hands on his hips. "We're not going to die out anytime soon." Sam added and crossed his arms while shaking his head.
He looked at the assassin who clicked his jaws together. He turned back to Sam who looked at the group of Dusk ships which floated in the sky above.
"You have no idea what to do for the future, do you?" Thaviks questioned as Sam shook his head. "Then you are a better Kell then the others… They do not have the modesty to admit their mistakes." Thaviks stated which caused Sam to chuckle with amusement.
"We do need to hit the Cabal soon, however." Thaviks stated and rested his shrapnel launcher on his shoulder. "They will not rest till we are wiped out to the last. You know this, they will strike harder then Skolas and his army." Thaviks stated as he hummed and clicked his jaws together.
Sam knew they would strike them soon enough. The Cabal's empire would rain down on his… And Sam knew they couldn't fight them head on.
He didn't plan it once more. They had made a line in the sand, and they'd had to plan what to do next. Sam sighed and looked to Thaviks before going to supervise his army once more.
He didn't know how this would be down the road. Sam would wonder what happened next.
But the house would endure. It had endured worse then this, and they'd still lived once more.
