Only a week remained until the Wave would arrive at Shieldfreeden and Fourbrey. The heroes and members of the Three-Way Alliance teleconferenced with each other to discuss strategy on handling the Waves. In the Molkerei Domain's conference room, Team Shield, Team Vassal, and the Spade Mercenaries sat around a conference table with Melty. They were surrounded by holographic images of the other heroes and rulers of the nations which made up the Three-Way Alliance.
"Only a week until the Wave. According to the timers on the hourglasses, the Wave will hit Fourbrey and Shieldfreeden simultaneously. We'll need to defend both areas," said Melty.
"My team is already in Shieldfreeden to protect it," announced Naofumi.
"Fourbrey is my turf, so I'll focus my efforts there," said Tact.
"Our respective armies can help at each Wave, but where will everyone else go?" asked King Rand of Fourbrey, an obese slob of a sovereign.
"Since Shieldfreeden is our host, the Spade Mercenaries will join Naofumi there," replied Abel. "Hmm… Let's send both the remaining Cardinal Heroes and the Vassal Heroes to join Tact in Fourbrey for extra coverage."
"If that's case, I will send aid to Fourbrey," said Queen Mirellia.
"Hmm, that sounds like a good plan," said Rand. "Tact, I'll prepare a squadron of zeppelins to transport my troops. With the heroes on board, they can take you and my army directly to the Wave."
After the meeting, everyone departed to prepare for the arrival of the Wave. As Team Shield readied a series of wagons and filorial-drawn carriages for evacuating civilians, a group of Melromarcan soldiers approached Naofumi at the filorial stables. "Shield Hero! Hey Shield Hero!" cried the young soldier who led the group.
Naofumi looked at the soldier, who was named Ake according to the Shield's interface. He led a squad of soldiers which included a dog-like demihuman mage as a member. "What do you need?" asked Naofumi.
"We'd like to join you in the fight against the Wave," said Ake.
"You don't need to do that. You can go out and fight them without needing me," said Naofumi.
"We never got a chance to say it, but we were touched by your efforts at Lute Village. You see, our unit has family members back in Lute. You helped them when the other heroes wouldn't," said Ake.
"Oh, I remember you guys now. You were with the knights that nearly roasted us. You could've killed your own village militia!" said Naofumi.
"I know. We're very sorry about that, Shield Hero. If we disobeyed our orders, we'd be executed for insubordination," said Ake. "Please allow us this chance to redeem ourselves."
"Very well, but if you stab me in the back, you'll pay for it," said Naofumi.
He passed an invitation to Ake's team to join Team Shield, which Ake accepted. "Thank you Shield Hero!" said Ake.
"Come to think of it, I do have something you can do. We're headed to a Wave in Shieldfreeden. Our wagons will need an escort during the evacuation. You can provide that," said Naofumi.
"Of course, Shield Hero!" said Ake.
Meanwhile, Abel met with the other three Cardinal Heroes at the magic range in the Molkerei Domain. "The Wave is nearly due. It's time to unlock for you to unlock some mythological weapons," said Abel.
"I'm anxious! What kind of weapon will I get?" asked Motoyasu.
"Will we get something like Naofumi?" asked Itsuki.
"Probably not. Naofumi uses the Shield. We're not gonna get an Aegis like he did," said Ren.
Abel presented a tray with a silver crucifix, a burnt twig, and a gold heart. They were for Motoyasu, Ren, and Itsuki respectively. When Motoyasu picked up the crucifix, he noticed that a red "X" mark had been painted on the right side of Jesus, just beneath his ribs. "Spear the crucifix at that mark," Abel told Motoyasu.
"Okay, here goes!" said Motoyasu, who pressed the Spear's tip to the mark.
It transformed into a golden bident which had a guard near where it forked, creating a cross-like appearance. This new Spear radiated a sense of wholesomeness and divinity about it. The Spear told him that he had unlocked the Longinus, also known as the Lance of Longinus, the Spear of Destiny, or the Holy Spear. The Roman soldier Longinus used this weapon to pierce the side of Jesus Christ and end his suffering on the cross. It was the strongest Spear Motoyasu had in his arsenal. It also passively increased his longevity in battle and improved his healing rate.
Abel had the Domain spawn a set of dummies, which Motoyasu stabbed with the Longinus. A spark of holy power zapped the dummies upon contact. For his next test, Motoyasu activated the "Ein Soph Aur" skill. The Longinus emitted a golden beam from between its prongs which disintegrated all in its path. "Wow!" remarked Motoyasu, upon seeing the devastation left in its wake.
"That's the power of myth for you," said Abel. "Now Ren, take this burnt twig and apply it to the Sword."
Ren did as requested and the Sword transformed into a much larger, black version of itself which required two hands to wield properly. Its blade was wreathed in flame. Ren admired this powerful new weapon. "Laevateinn," said Ren, reading his prompt window.
Laevateinn was the weapon of Surtr, the fire giant from Norse myth. It was an upgrade to his Flame Sword and the most powerful Sword in his arsenal. It improved any fire-based attack Ren employed. Such improvements included increased damage, larger area of effect, and less usage of resources to launch a fire-based attack. Abel restored the dummies so that Ren may test his new weapon on them. Ren swung the Laevateinn at a dummy, slicing it in half while searing the cut. Apparently, Laevateinn burnt whatever it struck as he expected.
He then used the skill "Fan Flames" with a swing of the Sword. That act caused fire to gush out of the blade, washing over the dummies and burning them to ash. "Impressive!" he remarked.
"Last but not least, Itsuki, this golden heart is for you. Install it at the tip of an arrow and ready it in the Bow," said Abel.
Itsuki did so, resulting in the Bow transforming into a golden Bow decorated with hearts, the Cupid Bow. Itsuki nocked the first of its special arrows, the "Charm Arrow," which resembled an arrow with a golden heart for its tip. When fired into a dummy, it turned and started clubbing one of its allies. This act angered its victim and caused it to fight back. Itsuki nocked its second special arrow, the "Aversion Arrow," which had a tip that resembled a broken heart made of lead. When fired into one of the dummies, it started fleeing the area.
"Hmm, both arrows would be amazing for thinning out crowds," remarked Itsuki. "Thank you for unlocking it."
"You're welcome," said Abel. "The Wave is almost here. Use my gifts to drive it away and protect the people."
"We will. Thanks man!" said Motoyasu.

The seconds ticked down on the timer until the next Wave hit the nation of Shieldfreeden. Naofumi consulted his Shield's interface. His party had grown to a large size and included Fohl and Sadeena as new members. It also encompassed entire other groups like the Spade Mercenaries and a few commanders of the Freedenese military. When the timer finally hit zero, pillars of golden light engulfed everyone and brought them all into the middle of an unknown city. The sky had turned red and fissures started to open.
"Where are we?" asked Naofumi as he looked around.
Monsters began to fall out of the fissures into the area below. "My comp is telling us we're in Achtflusse City, capital of the Achtflusse Region in south Shieldfreeden," replied Atsuro.
He entered some commands, which caused his comp to beam information to everyone in the party. Naofumi saw a map of the area encompassed by the Wave. "Thank you Atsuro," said Naofumi.
"There's a town square to the south of our location. We're going to set up an extraction point there," said Abel.
"Okay, I'll go up north and evacuate the suburbs," said Naofumi.
"Good luck!" said Midori. Naofumi boarded Filo's wagon and took the entire convoy up north, along with Ake's team and a small detachment of the Freedenese army.
As Team Shield went away, the Spade Mercenaries took another detachment to the town square of Achtflusse. There, they called in as many demons as they could fit into the area around the square. Inside a local delicatessen, the middle-aged human owner looked outside the window and noticed how oddly red the sky was. "Oh crap!" he remarked.
A second later, Catsy the Cait Sith demon and his mistress entered the shop. "It's an emergency! There's a Wave in Achtflusse! We need to use your store to evacuate people," said Midori.
"Alright, just get me out of here!" said the deli owner.
Catsy shifted the three of them into the Molkerei Domain, joining it to the deli and causing the three to appear south of the colosseum. "Go to the south door of the arena. Our demons are waiting there to assist you," said Midori.
As Midori returned to Achtflusse, the Freedenese soldiers went from door to door and street to street, herding everyone in the city towards the square. One male soldier of the oken race, cat-like humanoids, knocked on a door. "Open up! A Wave has come! You have to evacuate to the square!" said the soldier.
A family of oken exited the house and ran down the street in the direction of the square. Several other families fled their homes, travelling down the streets while being pointed to the square by Pixies. When they entered the deli in the town square, they were instantly taken into the safety of the Molkerei Domain. A quasit descended upon the fleeing citizens, a creature which resembled a head with bat wings. It swooped down upon a female sakamata citizen, but Tulzcha caught it before it could bite her. Igniting its body, Tulzcha incinerated the creature.
At the suburbs, Naofumi found a large swarm of quasits nipping at the Freedenese soldiers as they evacuated homes. Calling the Aegis, he directed Medusa's Gaze upon the monsters. All of the quasits turned to stone and plummeted from the sky. They hit the ground and shattered into countless fragments. "Thank you, Shield Hero!" said a soldier.
"Hurry! Now's your chance!" Naofumi cried to the soldiers and fleeing citizens.
A quasit descended, but Naofumi blocked its attempt to bite him. In retaliation, he extended Medusa's Hair, which bit into the creature and injected venom into its body, felling it. The Freedenese soldiers continued the evacuation and came face to face with creatures who resembled brown humanoid reptiles clad in armour. These lizardmen traded blows with the soldiers, each side parrying the other's attacks. Sadeena cast Zweite Thunderstorm. The clouds above gathered and down came a bolt of lightning, piercing through a lizardman.
The lightning continued to rain down like blades, felling four more lizardmen. Keel ran to a fifth lizardman and planted a flying kick onto its chin. The lizardman got knocked to the ground, bouncing along it while kicking up dust. A sixth approached from Raphtalia's right, but she intercepted with a deadly slice. She opened a large gash which hemorrhaged blood and felled the creature. Filo kicked a seventh, felling it, then joined Raphtalia's side to confront the eighth.

At the rural areas outside Fouropolis, the capital of Fourbrey, the sky boomed as Tact's zeppelins unloaded ammunition from their cannons. They burst in the sky, destroying dozens of falling monsters before they could even reach the ground. Soon, a new set of foes emerged from the rifts. They were a swarm of fairies, humanoid beings with insect-like wings and colour-coded garb. They came by the hundreds with seemingly no end to them. They were far more organized as they charged at the zeppelins in groups of five to six instead of as a random mob of individuals.
Below, the Vassal Heroes began evacuation of farms and cleared any monsters which slipped past Tact's aerial forces. Guilmon spit Pyro Spheres at a group of marauding lizardmen, blasting three with a well-placed shot each. Sinon's Carcano blazed as it spewed bullets, felling lizardmen one after the other. Arpeggio cast the Fast Meteor Shower spell upon the rest of the crowd. A dozen rocks tumbled down from the sky, crushing and burying the rest of the lizardmen.
One of the fairies, a Sylph, descended and locked weapons with Hikaru. Like all the others of his kind, he was clad in green. Hikaru pushed out of the stalemate, then swung for his belly. Staggering her foe, she followed with a Flame Arrow and blew him to smithereens. Only a green flame remained behind. The second, a Cait Sith, resembled a cat-like demihuman with wings and clad in blue robes. She dove in to stab Takato with knives, which deflected off of his Barrier.
When she backed away to observe him, the Trinket revealed that her name was Silica. "A kid? He's even younger than me!" Silica said to herself mentally.
Takato directed the Balor Gaze, forcing Silica to bank right and evade the beam. He continued firing beams, which she also evaded until Silica moved too far out of range. Her pet, a pale blue feathered dragon named Pina, spit bubbles at him. The Barrier blocked these attacks and Takato countered by giving the Evil Eye to Pina. Her body seized up and she could not move, tumbling to the ground. Silica quickly dove in and spirited Pina away before she could be harmed any further.
"Gotcha!" said Guilmon after he struck Silica in the back with a fatal Pyro Sphere. Upon death, Silica left behind a yellow flame. With nothing left to sustain her, Pina vanished into thin air.
A buxom blonde Sylph descended upon Hikaru. Hikaru quickly turned around and parried her strike, which came from a sword, then pushed the Sylph away. The Sylph charged back in with a flurry of strikes, each of which Hikaru parried. As they separated, Hikaru fired a Flame Arrow to follow, but the Sylph banked left to evade it. The two locked gazes and stared each other down. Both girls could tell by the other's stance and techniques that her foe was an opponent skilled in kendo.
As Hikaru watched the Sylph, the Katana's interface identified the Sylph as Leafa. "You're good," remarked Leafa.
"So are you," complimented Hikaru in return.
"Let's see how you do against this," said Leafa. "Ek skýt tuttugu smár striða!"
A volley of air needles shot out from her hands. Hikaru quickly fled to evade the volley, then hopped onto the roof of a farmhouse. She lobbed three Flame Arrows, which Leafa zigzagged around. Even as Hikaru continued to shoot Flame Arrows at her, Leafa evaded them as before. Leafa then flew forward to close the gap between them. Hikaru parried her initial strike, then continued to exchange more strikes with her. Hikaru leapt off of the roof of the farmhouse with Leafa following her.
After a few more rounds of strikes and parries, the two separated. "You're not the only one who can control air," said Hikaru.
Hikaru swung the Kusanagi, which generated a blast of wind. It swept over Leafa and carried her back, right through the wall of the farmhouse with a boom. She landed on the rubble inside the den, taking damage to her wings and losing her ability to fly. "Crap!" cursed Leafa, upon realizing that Hikaru had denied her of her primary advantage.
Suddenly, several Air Strike Katanas flew Leafa's way! She tried to dodge and deflect them as she best she could, but one nicked her right cheek as it flew by. Another Air Strike Katana flew at Leafa and slashed her left biceps, despite an attempt to evade it. When Leafa regained her composure, she could not see Hikaru anywhere. Suddenly, Hikaru sent Ruby Lightning through the window behind her! Leafa got struck before she could escape, convulsing in agony before collapsing into unconsciousness.
Hikaru came by and shackled Leafa's hands together. She then saw Growlmon pass by through the opening Leafa had created from being smashed into the farmhouse. "Hey Growlmon! I've caught a prisoner!" Hikaru called to her ally, waving for the Digimon to come closer.
Takato and Growlmon came over and examined Leafa on the ground, unconscious and bound by the magic shackles. "Let's take her home. We might be able to learn something from her," said Takato.
"Okie dokie!" said Growlmon, who then picked up the unconscious Leafa.

Meanwhile at Achtflusse, dozens of civilians ran past the Spade Mercenaries and their demons as they fled to the city centre. Scarlet looked up and saw a horde of fairies blotting out the sky. When the Spade Mercenaries examined them, the fairies appeared to be under the effects of a magic spell, as they had a darkly violet glow surrounding their bodies. "Those fairies are under the influence of demonic magic," announced Abel.
"What kind?" asked Yuzu.
"It looks like they are connected to the Wave. Once it ends, they will be sent back to wherever they came from," replied Abel.
"Look sharp 'cuz they're coming our way!" said Midori.
The fairies descended upon the city of Achtflusse, attacking any guards and civilians they encountered. As the Spade Mercs' demons advanced to meet the enemy, other fairies stayed back to chant spells as support. Abel emitted a snow white wave. It rippled through the spell casters and snuffed their spells, preventing them from casting. He then started a blizzard above the city. Snow blasted into the fairies' eyes, blinding them. The sheer cold also froze their wings solid and several started to lose altitude.
One of the male Cait Sith had been forced into an emergency landing. Atsuro charged at him and punched him in the chin. The Cait Sith got smashed down the street, bouncing all along the way until hitting a lamp post and leaving it bent. The Cait Sith managed to get up, but had lost more than two thirds of his health. "Ow!" he groaned, barely able to stand.
Yet, stand the Cait Sith did. He charged at Atsuro, who suddenly vanished, leaving the fairy confounded. Atsuro's fist flew towards his foe's chin in an uppercut, launching the Cait Sith a kilometre into the sky. He never returned to the ground, for he had perished in the air and left behind a yellow flame. His friends saw his demise and swarmed Atsuro, yet he evaded all of their strikes. He unleashed a flurry of blows as he went from foe to foe, all of whom were knocked to the ground or into storefronts.
Tulzcha spit dozens of verdigris fireballs, hitting a few Cait Sith while others evaded them. Tulzcha converted his attack to a stream, fanning it about to catch more Cait Sith by the dozen. Despite being grounded, the Cait Sith were not dead yet and started to rise. Viola raced over and cut them down one after the other. Orochi joined her advance and snapped at one, biting the woman to death. His other heads chased a male Cait Sith who flew around him. He snapped at the fairy, who banked downward to escape.
Elsewhere, the Sylph and Cait Sith leaders scanned the action below from the sky. Their interface depicted each member of the Spade Mercs and their demons as having health and mana of "?," far too high for someone of their level to comprehend. "Those must be the main bosses!" said Alicia Rue, a blonde Cait Sith dressed in tan.
Alicia Rue pointed out Abel teleporting across city rooftops to battle Sylph and Cait Sith invaders. "Let's get him!" said Sakuya, a buxom Sylph in green, Japanese-styled clothing who carried a sheathed katana. "All forces, focus on Abel!" she broadcast over chat.
The Sylphs and Cait Sith converged on Abel, who sprayed a massive torrent of ice and snow their way. The fairies were caught in the blizzard and blinded by the snow biting their eyes. The cold sapped their bodies of heat until some could not endure and were frozen instantly. The Cait Sith's mages cast protective, anti-ice spells over their army, enabling them to withstand the cold better than before. Abel soon realized that his spell had lost effectiveness and ceased the ice.
He then formed a basketball-sized orb of violet energy in the sky. The almighty orb throbbed unstably, then exploded violently. In its wake, the fairies were disintegrated en masse in explosions of golden light. Death reports flashed by on Sakuya's interface, numbering more than a thousand players killed by that single spell. "Holy crap!" said Sakuya, seeing how nearly every member of the raiding team had been wiped out.
Abel formed the Seal of Bel in the sky, which then began to radiate a darkly violet light. "Arrrggh!" groaned Alicia as its power took hold of her, causing her to feel drained.
"What happened?" asked Sakuya. The power then took hold of Sakuya, causing her strength to erode. "Arrgggh!"
Both leaders had several debilitating effects applied to them according to their interface. "What was that? I just got several debuffs put on me!" said Alicia.
"It's that sigil. It's making us weaker!" said Sakuya.
"Arrrrgh!" groaned Alicia as the Seal of Bel triggered again, adding another stack of debilitation to her, which eroded her overall strength even further.

Back at Fouropolis, a fairy swordsman in black, the Spriggan Kirito, called a friend over his interface. "Leafa, can you hear me? Answer me!" cried Kirito over the voice chat system, but getting no response.
"I'm not getting any response from her either," said Asuna, a blue-haired Undine girl dressed in white and blue garb. "We'd better go look for her."
"Yeah," said Kirito.
The duo flew around looking for Leafa, Kirito's sister, among the chaos and evacuation efforts. They eventually found Motoyasu in battle with their friend Klein, a goateed Salamander fairy with brown hair who was dressed in red, samurai-style attire. Motoyasu fired Ein Soph Aur at Klein, who got blasted to the ground, barely surviving the attack. "Crap!" said Klein.
"Klein!" cried Kirito.
"Thank goodness you're here, Kirito! This guy's been giving me fits!" said Klein.
Asuna handed Klein a blue healing crystal. "We'll take it from here. Stay back and recover," said Asuna.
As the duo charged Motoyasu, he fired Ein Soph Aur back at them. The duo quickly banked away to dodge the attack, letting it sail past into the sky harmlessly. Kirito moved in and swung for Motoyasu's body, but he blocked with the Longinus. He threw a few more slashes, but Motoyasu blocked them all. Asuna came in from his rear left, but Motoyasu noticed and quickly parried her attempt to stab him. He swung back in retaliation, forcing her to move back to avoid the arc of the Longinus. He fired Ein Soph Aur at her, which she evaded by quickly ascending.
Kirito saw his chance and charged in, where he made a quick slash below Motoyasu's exposed ribs, opening a bleeding cut there. Before he could follow, Kirito took a quick, but weakened Ein Soph Aur to the chest, getting blown back by the force. "Crap!" remarked Kirito, debilitated by his wound.
Seeing Motoyasu doubled over in pain, Growlmon charged into the scene, spitting Pyro Blasters at Asuna and Klein. The two scattered to evade Growlmon's attacks. "That big dinosaur has Leafa!" said Klein, seeing her slung on his shoulder.
"Watch your attack!" said Asuna.
Before they could do anything more, both of them felt their bodies seize up within an aura of violet. Takato had paralyzed them with the Evil Eye. Unable to flap their wings, they were forced to land on the ground. "Stop right there!" demanded a girl as she approached Kirito from behind. "Drop your weapon and put your hands up!" Kirito complied. "Now turn around, slowly."
Kirito complied once again and saw a familiar face looking back at him from behind a Carcano. "Sinon? How?" he asked incredulously.
"K... Kirito? What are you doing here?" asked Sinon, lowering her weapon in shock.
Both VR game players were too in shock to say another word. Kirito was especially in disbelief as he remembered seeing Sinon, or Shino Asada, lying in the coffin at her funeral. Everyone was dressed in black and many people were in tears from her passing. She was the final victim of Death Gun, before they were put behind bars for good. That Death Gun included player killers from Sword Art Online reopened many wounds for the general public, who hoped that such events would be over and done with.
"I'm sorry for your loss," Kirito told her grief-stricken mother, dressed in black and a veil.
"I don't blame you. You did the best you could for my girl," said Shino's mother.
"Let's offer a prayer for her. Hopefully, she's gone to a better place than this world," said Kirito.
Suddenly, the skies cleared and returned to their normal blue colour. It snapped Kirito out of his reminiscing. All of the fairies started to fade with the ending of the Wave, including Kirito himself. "Kirito!" cried Sinon, but it was too late, for he was already gone.
))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
Back at Team Shield's battle, Naofumi brought Medusa's Gaze upon the fairies. Medusa had petrified numerous Sylphs and Cait Sith instantly, many falling from the sky as stone statues. With a few well-placed blows from Filo, Fohl, and Keel, they had been shattered and left behind flames as remnants of their life force. Suddenly, several men and women in masks and cloaks appeared in puffs of smoke. "Who are these guys?" asked Raphtalia.
They drew knives and rushed at Team Shield. Naofumi blocked one targeting him and noticed a faint violet liquid seep from his foe's weapon. "Poison!" he remarked, then extended Medusa's Hair to snap at his attacker. The assassin swung his dagger to cut the snakes, but one slipped past and injected its own poison into his arm. The poison took hold and felled him after only a few seconds. "Watch out! These guys have poisoned weapons! Don't let them nick you!" warned Naofumi.
Fohl evaded a thrust, then darted in and chopped his foe's elbow. A crack signalled the assassin's arm breaking and him dropping his weapon. Fohl then unloaded a flurry of haymakers into the stomach. The assassin shuddered uncontrollably from the onslaught, unable to move, let alone retaliate. Fohl had broken the assassin's ribs, which caused the killer to double over. After a mighty right hook to the head, he had floored the assassin. Another tried to pounce on him from behind, but Fohl sidestepped right, then swept his legs from under him. That killer fell and hit his head on the ground.
Filo sidestepped a dagger, then punted the assassin several metres away. Sadeena cast the Zweite Chain Lightning spell. Lightning arced from her harpoon, linking five assassins together in an electrocuting arc. They all collapsed, leaving the smell of charred flesh lingering in the air. Keel disappeared from an assassin's sight, who then found his weapon getting kicked out of his hand. Keel unloaded kicks and punches, then flattened the assassin with an Air Strike Glove formed to palm strike him from range.
With the assassins all lying on the ground dead, Team Shield pulled out potions to restore his team's stamina. "Who were those guys?" asked Keel as he looked over the bodies.
Sadeena removed the mask of one of the assassins. "Aotatsu," replied Sadeena. She removed more masks and found the faces of more blue dragonewts behind them.
Naofumi then remembered the warning Hiru had given him about the Aotatsu and the tensions they were causing in Shieldfreeden. "So it begins," he remarked.
Meanwhile at Shieldheim, President Gunther Bauer of Shieldfreeden sat in his office, listening to a subordinate's latest report about the events during the Wave. Suddenly, several masked individuals in cloaks smashed down his door and rushed in. The President's underling turned around to look while Bauer stood up. The attackers shot Bauer's underling with a crossbow, leaving him sprawled on the ground, bleeding to death. They shot the grey-haired president soon after, sending him to the floor to join his underling.
At the senate of Shieldfreeden, the regional leaders had met and were preparing to talk about how to handle the aftermath of the current Wave. Suddenly, one of the guards at the door took a crossbow bolt to the chest, collapsing onto the ground bleeding. Several armed men and women rushed into the senate. Another guard moved to stop them, but a mage zapped him with lightning, hurling him over a desk where he got sprawled on the ground with electricity arcing over his body.
The attackers herded the politicians together. The leader of the attackers took the podium and spoke into a special orb which amplified the voice. "Only our people are fit to rule! Shieldfreeden will now belong to the Aotatsu, its rightful owners!" announced the leader.
END OF CHAPTER
