Hello dear readers! and welcome to the last chapter in Repairing a bond. hope you've all been good, and that you enjoyed the last chapter. It's weird to think its been over a year since I started this story. I hope you've all enjoyed this little story of mine. Now without further ado, lets get to the ending.

Something once broken

Ten years later

"Bobby you almost ready? We're supposed to be at my parent's house by noon!" Lori called out as she threw her purse over her shoulder and waited by the front door of their home.

"I'm coming babe! Just a second". Bobby called back as he came around the corner from the hall, making sure his coat was snug against his body. "You got all the stuff in the car last night? Made sure it was all there?" Lori asked, wanting to make sure they didn't forget anything before leaving. "For the fifth time Lori, yes. I remembered all the gifts, didn't leave anything out". Bobby told her as he rolled his eyes.

"Good, alright let's go. Don't wanna be late". Lori said as she walked outside, quickly followed by Bobby who made sure to shut and lock the door.

The two got in the car, Lori as passenger and Bobby driving. "Okay, all set. Let's go spend some quality family time with the Louds". Bobby said with a smile as Lori rolled her eyes in response. "You think Lynn's gonna make things difficult?" Bobby asked as they pulled out of the driveway.

"No, we've been mostly good now for the past few months. Well, from what we've seen of each other. Besides, she wouldn't start anything to ruin Christmas, she'd much rather I start so she'd have the excuse". Lori told him.

"Eh, from the way I see it, you've been let off the hook from all of them. At least enough that they can be all nice and friendly while you're around them now". Bobby said. "I'm just glad that Lincoln's bounced back as well as he has. I just wish it woulda happened sooner". Lori lamented, her voice carrying off a bit. "No use dwelling on it anymore remember? It's all in the past, and everyone's been moving into a brighter future since. Especially us". Bobby assured her as he reached his hand over to rest at her stomach for a moment.

"You're right. Besides, it's Christmas, no point in being sad today is there? Especially once we tell everyone the news". Lori said, taking his hand in hers. "Exactly, so let's just listen to some of that lovely Christmas music that we've heard over a thousand times on the way to your parents". Bobby said as he cranked the radio up and the two continued their drive to the Loud House.

By the time the pair arrived at the Loud home, they had to park on the sidewalk, the driveway being too full with the rest of the various family member's vehicles.

"All right, let's grab the gifts and head inside". Lori said as Bobby put the car in park and the two got out, a chill blowing through them as the cold weather swept around them. Lori grabbed a few small boxes from the backseat while Bobby got the rest from the trunk. "Okay babe, that's everything". The man said as he closed the trunk and followed his wife inside.

Knocking on the door a couple times, the couple waited for someone to answer. "Daddy! I think Aunt Lori's here!" The two heard a young girl's voice call out from inside.

A moment later and a small child with fair skin opened the door, smiling up at the two. "Aunt Lori! Uncle Bobby!" The girl cheered as the pair walked in and set their gifts down so neither dropped anything before the inevitable happened. Sure enough, as soon as they set the boxes and bags down, the girl jumped on the two, bringing them both in for a hug.

"Calm down Darna, don't attack them as soon as they show up". A young woman called out from the side. Lori looked over to see her sister in law Stella walking over to the pair. "Sorry about her, you know how excited she gets whenever she gets to see you". Stella said as she got close for a hug. "Oh it's no problem at all, I love this little munchkin, yes I do". Lori said as she pinched Darna's cheek before giving Stella a quick hug.

"So where's my brother at?" Lori asked as Bobby took the brunt of Darna's affection, playing with the girl while her mother and Lori talked.

"Oh he's in the kitchen right now talking with a couple of your sisters". Stella told her. "Our sisters Stella, you're part of this crazy family too remember". Lori said with a smile as she wrapped her arm around the girl. "Yeah, it's hard to forget sometimes hehe". Stella said before Lori started heading towards the kitchen.

As Lori got closer, she could hear her siblings laughing and smiled to herself. She was glad that they could enjoy times like this again, in spite of everything that's happened. Lori rounded the corner and saw her brother standing by the dining table, chatting with Lynn and Lucy. Leni was standing over by the counter making some more drinks while Luna took two of them for Sam and herself.

Lori didn't know where the rest of her family was but figured they were either outside or upstairs, except for Lola, who she was already assuming was late as usual.

A moment after she entered, Lincoln saw her and smiled warmly at her. "Lori! You guys made, come here". Lincoln cheerfully greeted as he waved her over. The girl walked over to her brother and sisters, glad that everyone was finally together again, happy like they used to be. "Hey guys, sorry we showed up a bit late, Took us a bit to get everything together". Lori said as she walked up and gave Lincoln a hug, Lucy following suit and then a hesitant Lynn. Something that Lori couldn't even imagine just a few years back.

"Lori! I'm totes glad you're finally here. Drink up!" Leni said as she handed her sister a drink, Lori could smell the alcohol in it before it even got close to her face. She was about to take a sip until she remembered one important detail. "Uh actually Leni, maybe later. Think I'll just have a water for now". Lori told the girl.

Lori grabbed one from the fridge just as Bobby entered with Darna sitting on his shoulders. "Hey, hey Louds! Merry Christmas!" He cheered as he started jogging around the room, bouncing the girl riding him up and down as he did so. "Where's everyone else at?" Bobby asked as he looked around the room and only saw a few of the family standing around.

"Oh, mom and dad are out back watching some of the kids playing around in the snow. Lana, Lily and Clyde are out there with them, Luan just headed fore the bathroom not too long ago. We're still waiting on Lola and Lisa to show up, should've told them an earlier time". Lincoln explained. "Ah gotcha, I'm gonna head out there and say hi, be back in a bit". Bobby said as he set Darna down and ran outside, quickly followed by the young girl.

"Heh, I love that dork". Lori sighed as she watched the two run out. "Yeah, the kids do too. Darna's always asking about the next time she can visit uncle Bobby and you hehe". Lincoln said as he took a sip of his drink. "I'm glad you two gave things another shot. You guys seem really happy together". He added.

"Yeah, I certainly don't deserve him. Very lucky to have him by my side after everything. I'm more glad that we're all a family again though. One that's only getting bigger". Lori happily said, a hand subconsciously going to her belly.

"Wait are you?" Lincoln asked, pointing to her stomach. "What? N-No. No! Why would you say that?" Lori hastily replied. "No way, you are, aren't you dude?" Luna chimed in. "N-No guys, really I'm not". Lori defensively repeated. But by the looks of her siblings, she knew they weren't taking that for an answer. Sighing, Lori hung her head.

"Okay, you got me. I'm pregnant". Lori admitted. "Omg, like, congrats Lori. I'm super excited for you!" Leni nearly shouted. "Shhh, Leni. I wanted it to be a surprise. I was gonna tell everyone later tonight, c-can we keep it quiet until then?" Lori pleaded.

"Of course, Lori. No problem". Lincoln told her. "How um, how far along are you?" Lincoln asked. "Just a few weeks. We found out last week, planned on telling you all tonight". Lori said. "Well once Lola and Lisa show up we'll dole out the gifts and just hang out for a bit before dinner. I'd probably tell everyone then". Lincoln suggested. "Yeah I was thinking the same bro". Lori replied.

The group heard the front door swing open and soon heard the culprit behind it. "Merry Christmas peasants! Your queen has arrived!" The group simultaneously rolled their eyes when they heard Lola's voice echo through the house. "Well, one left now". Lincoln said as he downed the rest of his drink.

Shortly after Lola showed up, Lisa arrived as well. The family gathered in the living room to hand out presents and enjoy the holiday together before everyone had to get back to their usual daily lives the following day.

The Loud parents were just happy to see their kids and grand-kids all together after years of heated tensions between some members. Rita was glad that her family bounced back from what would tear apart normal families forever, she knew now that no matter what happens, her kids would be all right.

Once everyone had settled down for dinner, the Loud parents grabbing a bigger table so everyone could be together, Lincoln gathered everyone's attention for a toast.

"Guys, as I look around the table here, I'm reminded of just how great our family is. No matter how big it gets, no matter how different most of us are, we'll always be there for each other". Lincoln started. "There was a time when I didn't think that our family would ever be the way it is now, everyone together, happy". Lori hung her head slightly at the insinuation of that comment.

"But now, I realize that no matter what, us Louds stick together. We have each other's backs and even as we go off and live our own lives, some of them far away from home, that statement will never be untrue. No matter what happens, no matter how bad we may mess up sometimes, we're a family. And nothing can tear one like ours apart. To family". Lincoln said with a big smile.

"To family" Everyone said in response.

Everyone was about to start eating when Lori cleared her throat, standing up for her own little moment. "Um I actually have some news I wanted to tell everyone. Lori spared a quick look in Bobby's direction before looking around the table. "Bobby and I...we're having a baby!"

Audible gasps were heard around the table as the rest of the family who hadn't already heard, found out the news. "Oh my god! Congratulations honey!" Rita exclaimed, more than ecstatic that her family was getting even bigger.

Everyone else at the table offered their congratulations and cheers as well. "Is it a boy or girl?" Lola asked. "We're not sure yet, we only found out last week. We might just wait till they're born to get that answer". Lori replied.

"Well one things for sure, they're gonna be spoiled as hell with all these aunts and uncles around haha". Lincoln joked as everyone chuckled along with him.

That was something that Lori wasn't going to get tired of hearing again, her brother's laughter. For too long, she went without seeing him properly smile or laugh, and now here they were. Lori was glad that in the end, everything worked out. Lincoln was back to his old self, had started a little family of his own, and their family was stronger than ever. Some of them may not have fully forgiven Lori for her mistake, but that was okay with her, because at least they were all together again.

For all that happened, that was more than enough for her. The bonds she once shared with her family may never be the same again, but Lori was thankful with how things were now.

And there we go, all may never be forgiven, but everyone seems able to leave the past in the past. I hope you all enjoyed the story. I know I said I'd have an update for Come back whole next but I'm putting that one on hold for a bit till I figure some stuff out. Be on the lookout for a new chapter in Heated Waters soon instead though.

Now that this story is done and another is close to it, I'll be doing a couple of the one-shots I had planned. One of them will be the Danny Phantom fic. Also expect an m-rated one-shot set in this story's universe at some point in the future.
