Olivia walked out of the bathroom in a towel to see Alex still standing half naked and clothes all over the bed. She saw clothes all over the bed. "Uh babe, I thought you were getting dressed."

Alex came out of the closet, "I am but I don't know what to wear?"

Olivia put on her under garments, "You don't know what to wear on a day you are going to continuously change?" Liv gave Alex a slightly judgemental tone.

Alex was standing in front of the mirror holding clothes against her body. "Screw you." She huffed at Liv not in the mood to joke.

Olivia could see that Alex was stressing out about the day, "OO."

"I didn't mean that. I'm sorry I'm freaking out and I don't know why."

"That's okay." Olivia walked behind the blonde. She still couldn't understand Alex and her mom's relationship. "Will you?" She pushed the soft hair out of the way of the back of Alex's neck. She planted soft kisses on the pale neck.

Alex's eyes rolled back as she melted into Olivia's hands. "Yes," She gasped. She ran her fingers through Olivia's wet hair.

"What do you want to do to me." She whispered in her ear, before she started to nibble on Alex's ear.

"What…" Alex's lip quivered, "Whatever you want." She quickly turned her around diving into Olivia's lip. Her lips devoured Olivia's lips.

A few minutes past they heard a knock on the door. They were in each other's arms and Alex broke the kiss. "I hate you so much right now." Alex rested her forehead against Liv's forehead.

Olivia looked at Alex's chest, "No, you don't" she looked into Alex's eyes. "Do you?"

Alex sighed out a smile, "Of course not. But you know I'm clearly freaking out and you want to cut jokes." She softly exhaled. They heard the knock once again, "That's Trevor." Alex started moving out of the embrace.

Olivia stopped the blonde, "Hey, I love you, but I need you to relax. This is supposed to be a happy day. You are going to look so beautiful and you are going to find that perfect dress. Everyone there is supposed to be supporting you." Olivia needed to get reinsurance from Alex.

Alex held Olivia's hands, "A Lot better said than done."

"Then why do it?"

"Because it's our wedding and I still want it to be that picture perfect thing, even if I still have to parade in front of my mother and listen to her critics it's part of the experience." Alex broke the embrace.

They heard the knocking once again. "I'll get it." Olivia put her robe on. She opened the door, "Justin, where's my key?" She smiled remembering handing him the keys before the coffee run.

"I left it on the counter." He was holding three coffees. "I thought you would be dressed right by now?" He asked walking into the apartment.

"Yeah, I thought so too."

"Where's the nervous bride?"

"She's in the room trying to figure out what to wear after forty-five minutes." Olivia joked letting Justin into their room.

"Alex, Alex, Alex," He saw his half naked cousin freaking out. "Why aren't you dressed?"

"I don't know what to wear."

"You have clothes all over the bed." He smiled.

"That's what I said," Liv smiled as well, "Now I do have to get dressed so can you please help her. With your fashion sense?" She went into the closet to grab her outfit to retreat into the bathroom to get ready.

Justin looked at the bed. "Okay what about this." He grabbed a black pair of pants with a purple button down.

"You think? Maybe it should be more casual?" Alex said.

"Okay wear the jeans." He looked down at his watch. "We have to be at the restaurant in less than an hour. You have to put something on." Justin explained.

"Alex listen to your cousin." Olivia came out of the bathroom wearing her powder blue button down and a pair of black slacks. She went to her side of the bureau.

"Oh look I wanted to dress like your partner. Put it on." Justin smirked. Alex rolled her eyes to finally get dressed. Justin watched Olivia open her drawer, "Is that your gun?"

Olivia was sliding her holder onto her belt. "Yes Justin it is." She fasten her belt.

"Can I hold it?"

Olivia turned to him, "What do you think?" She asked as she placed her badge on her belt.

"I think not a chance in hell."

"Bingo."

"Are you gonna wear it in front of her parents?"

"Yes, Justin. I have to work after breakfast."

Justin always liked the idea of his aunt's buttons to be pressed. "That's awesome. Are you sure you don't want to try on wedding dresses today too?"

"No!" Alex and Olivia both quickly stated.

"You two are so cute."

"Yes we are but I am not seeing Alex in her dress until she walks down the aisle." Olivia informed the two being very firm on this.

"You know Liv, I don't have anything planned until this weekend I can go shopping with you tomorrow." Justin suggested.

"Thanks Justin but I think I've got this under control." They heard a knock on the door. "Justin can you get that?"

"Yeah," He cleared his throat, to leave the ladies alone for a moment.

Alex was in the bathroom brushing her hair and putting it in a ponytail. Olivia sat on the counter. "I love that blouse on you. That color always looks great on you."

"Thanks." Alex smirked as she started to put on her makeup. "So are you ready for breakfast?"

"I'm always ready for breakfast. Are you ready for a family engagement?"

"No, but it's what we have to do."

"We don't have to." She played with Alex's ponytail.

Alex stepped in between Olivia's legs, "Olivia this is my family and your future family. We have to do this. I need you to be there too." Alex looked into her eyes.

"Why?" Olivia questioned not wanting to deal with her future in laws again.

"Because you are my safe ground and you give me the courage to stand up to my mother." Alex confessed.

"Well with that Confession how could I not be there. I love you and I will always be there for you."

"I love you and I know." Alex loved looking into Olivia's eyes. She got caught in the moment. Her tongue dove into Liv's mouth.

The boys walked into the bedroom to greet the ladies. Trevor watched how aggressive Alex was kissing Olivia. He watched the tongues invade their mouths. Justin looked at Trevor looking in the bathroom. He rolled his eyes, "I leave you two for two minutes and we don't finish getting ready." He joked to announce their presence.

Olivia broke the kiss while holding Alex's cheek, "Justin I'm ready. We are just waiting for Alex to finish her makeup."

"Then can I have you please leave your fiance for like five minutes, Aunt Kathy will be annoyed for the rest of the day, and take it out on me."

Olivia appeased the day planner, "Don't worry Justin. Your aunt hates me. She will blame me for everything." She walked out of the bathroom, "Trevor." She walked past him to retrieve her coffee. She was trying to be nice as Trevor and Alex were trying to work things out.

"You're right… thank you Olivia for taking the pressure off." Justin tapped Liv's shoulder.

Liv finally was able to take a huge gulp out of her coffee. She moaned out a smile with the taste of caffeine, and to appease him, "My pleasure, It's what I do."

"Okay, haters." Alex announced leaving the bathroom. "I'm ready."

"You look great." Trevor informed me.

Alex smirked leaning on the doorframe. "That's because she always looks great." Olivia informed Trevor, handing her the tea. "But let's go."

"Okay." Alex smiled at Olivia starting to feel good. She leaned in to Olivia.

"Okay before you two love birds go at it again. I am telling you two it's time to go." Justin quickly stopped the two.

"Okay let's go."

The four met up with Alex's parents, Abbie, and Casey for breakfast. They were stuck with small talk with the eight of them. Olivia was quiet for the most part to not say anything to Kathy she would regret. Kathy was having issues watching Olivia and Alex interacting with each other during breakfast.

Once breakfast was over they left the restaurant. Everyone was standing around the sidewalk. "Olivia we'll see you tonight at the show?" Jim asked his future daughter in law.

Olivia was in Alex's arms, "Yes, Mr. Cabot." She smiled, "I told Elliot I can't miss family time. But if I'm late please forgive me in the future." She laughed.

Alex couldn't stop looking at Olivia and played with her hair. "Casey, leave Olivia's cases alone today please."

Casey chuckled, "I'm off today so you won't have to worry about it."

"Okay, it's settled." Olivia smiled. "I'll see you guys later." Liv waved off and kissed Alex's hand. "Have fun." She broke the embrace and walked to the police station.

Alex refused to break their hands, and walked with her out of the group for a few steps. "Are you going to keep your phone on?"

"Of course." Olivia faced Alex, "You've got this everyone here is going to support you and give their honest opinion."

"The three mimosas she had didn't help." She looked down at their hands.

"If you need to call me, call me." Olivia squeezed Alex her hand. "But just ignore her. This is your day." She wanted Alex to be confident about her happiness.

Alex nodded to agree with her, "Yeah."

"Also here some other advice about your dress I recommend."

Alex looked into Olivia's eyes, "Oh what's that?"

"When you are in your dresses, just imagine my hands on it, and imagine which one you want me to take off." Olivia gave a half serious advice about her dress.

"That's an important advice, I have to think about my bride." She smiled at her Olivia before starting a passionate kiss.

Kathy scoffed as she saw her daughter start the kiss with Olivia. Olivia finally broke the embrace to leave once again. Alex smiled with stars in her eyes as she walked back to the group. "People were watching." Kathy hissed.

Alex rolled her eyes. "Let them." She firmly snapped at her mom.

They seven enter the bridal shop. They had their room champagne ready for the Cabots. Alex and Justin were paired to look at the dresses. The clerk Stacy that Adam recommended helped the two out in the dress style that Alex wants.

Everyone sat and drank while they were waiting for Alex to start the fashion show. Alex came out with a ball gown type dress that her mother picked out, alot of lace and beading. Alex stood in front of everyone.

"That looks amazing on you." Kathy stated taking a sip of the champagne.

Alex quickly looked at Justin, and turned to look at her bridal party. "What do you think?"

"This isn't you." Trevor quickly spoke against her mother.

"Yeah, I don't like it." Abbie shook her head.

"Okay great." Alex sighed out, and quickly walked into the changing room with Justin.

"Remember we have a lot of people to impress, this event isn't about you." Kathy commented.

"We have already started." Alex spoke under breath.

Justin zipped up the second dress, "The champagne isn't helping."

Alex rolled her eyes before walking out of the room, "Mom, we are having a small wedding. The guest list is about fifty to seventy people." Alex stood in front of the mirror in the newest dress. The bodice looked like a see through corset, with a simple skirt.

"That is too small of a list." Alex cupped her face, trying to keep her cool to her mother. "We have at least a hundred or two people to entertain for work." Kathy interjected.

"This is not a work event, it's my wedding. And Liv doesn't really have a family so we are having a small wedding."

"So you are not having a large wedding because your friend doesn't know how important a large wedding is in this family."

Trevor couldn't believe how cruel Kathy was being to Alex. "Olivia is Alex's fiancé." He corrected Kathy because he didn't like seeing Alex on the verge of tears.

"This wasn't Olivia's choice, this was mine. I want a small simple wedding." Alex calmly stated, "Also you don't want your associates to come to my wedding anyways."

"Alex, I love this dress you look hot." Casey tried to change the subject.

"Absolutely not. You look naked you need something modest." Kathy interjected. "Jim?"

Jim didn't want to be put in the middle. "Um, I don't know. I like it better than the other one, but I don't think this says you. Do you?" He tried to be kind to his daughter about not liking the dress.

Alex turned to the mirror once again and played with the dress, "No this isn't it. Sorry Justin."

"I tried." He smiled sticking out his hand to help Alex off the runway.

"So Olivia has no family, she works long hours, and wants children. How does she raise that child properly." Kathy started a fresh glass of champagne.

"She will have OUR child, YOUR grandchild." Alex started and clenched her fists.

"Ms Cabot, with all due respect they have the support of friends and family." Abbie explained. "And…"

" Alex already said she doesn't have family, and Jim and I won't share the same DNA with her child, we won't help her." Everyone got quiet with that statement. Alex quickly walked away from the group.

"Katherine, STOP this. right now." Jim's jaw dropped and took away the glass from his wife. He followed the cousins. He knocked on the dressing room door.

"Uncle Jim can give us a moment?" Justin didn't open the door all the way.

"Justin, move out of the way." He commanded his nephew. Justin didn't want to argue with his uncle and let him into the dressing room. Jim saw his daughter sitting on a chair in the dress. Alex refused to look at her father. "Hey kiddo."

"I'm sorry Daddy, I can't go back out there." Alex was fighting her tears back.

Jim knelt down to look to gain eye contact with his daughter. "Sure you can. Your mom and friends are waiting for you to find your dress."

"No she isn't." Alex snapped. Her watery eyes finally looked at her dad's eyes. "She hasn't said anything nice to me since we got here."

"I'll talk to her." Jim stated.

"No, I don't want to make a scene. I just want to go home and take Olivia's suggestion and elope."

"Is that what you want?" He asked his daughter.

"I want to marry Olivia, and I want my mother's support. BUT I will marry her without her there." She stood up to gather her clothes.

"Al, this is the dress you specifically wanted to see." Justin held her choice in his hands. "Are you sure you don't want to try it on?"

Alex looked at the dress she fell in love with in one of the magazines she has been looking through. She smiled as she touched the dress.

Jim saw the light in Alex's with the white gown. "Can you try it on for me?" Jim asked, he rubbed her back.

She looked at her dad. "Yeah. Give us a moment."

Jim stepped out of the room. Alex and Justin heard Alex's parents started to bicker outside of the room. They heard Jim make a 'It's not our wedding' comment to Katherine. Justin helped zipped the new dress on Alex. "Breathe. You've got this." Justin stated.

"I'm not so sure." She held her ponytail up as the collard was being clasped.

"I love this, simplicity works great." He said stepping back.

"No, don't move. I don't want to see it until I'm on the catwalk." She gave a half smile to her supportive cousin.

"Okay then close your eyes." He knocked on the door. "Uncle Jim."

"Katherine go back to the room or you won't see the dress. Now." Jim commanded his buzzed wife. He was trying to be a peacemaker between the two.

Jim and Justin watched Katherine walk into the room with the others before they walked into the dressing room. "My baby girl." Jim smiled as he saw Alex standing in a high lace collar white dress. The dress had a form fitting halter, and the skirt gradually grew into a full dress that had a small train.

"Does it look okay?" She asked her father to open her eyes, avoiding the mirror.

"You're getting married and this is perfect. But it's not my dress, are you ready to show the others?" Alex nodded to her father. "This is your dress nobody else's. It's your choice." Jim reminded his daughter. "Let's go." Jim stuck out his arm to walk Alex down the hallway.

Alex walked on to the catwalk, Stacy put the lighting to the proper volume. Alex looked at herself in the mirror. Butterflies immediately hit her stomach. Goosebumps formed all over and she knew that this was the dress she wanted. She put her hands on her stomach. Her smile went larger when she imagined Liv's hands on her. She turned around to see her completely open back. She continued to look at herself. "Thoughts?" She choked out and wiped away her tears of joy.

"I think you found it." Abbie smiled

"You look fantastic, Olivia is going to fall in love with you all over again." Trevor stated.

"It's so simple, are you sure you don't want anything amazing, no beading, no rhinestones." Kathy asked.

"Mom!" Alex finally snapped at her mother who was ruining her day. "Do you like the dress that I am wearing or not? Actually. No."

"No? No what?" Kathy questioned.

"No, I'm not taking your opinion, this is my dress."

"Alexandra, your father and I are paying for this and your event our opinions matter."

"Wedding, not event, not gathering, wedding. And this is mine and Olivia's wedding. And I don't want your money." Alex stepped off the catwalk to get changed and to get away from her mother.

"Of course you want it, we have been saving for this since you were a little girl." Kathy followed her daughter.

"No! You have been saving for my picture perfect wedding for me to marry a guy like Trevor. Well that's not going to happen. I'm married to an amazing woman who is so caring and that's not going to change. So no, I don't want your money and I don't want you there." Alex blurted out.

"You don't mean that." Katherine was taking back with her daughter uninviting her to the biggest day of her daughter's life.

"You have been nothing but cruel to Olivia since you met her. You won't give her a chance." Jim stood next to her daughter and held her hand. He didn't want to calm her down. He wanted to support her. "If you can't accept my family then don't come. Don't come to my wedding or to the birth of MY children, or being in their lives." Alex walked away from her mother into the dressing room.

Kathy tried to follow the duo. Jim stepped in front of his wife. "Stop this right now. I'm not losing our daughter because of your pettiness."
