;"Chapter 24

Having literally been chased out of the house by an overly demanding Ariel, Jim was now sitting in a small cafe called Norths village. The waitress coming by every so often to fill his coffee as he stared out the window totally spaced out.

He didn't even realize how much until the waitress came over once more and tapped his shoulder "Hey, you ok?" Blinking out of his thoughts, he looked up into the Doe like brown eyes of the waitress with a nametag that read "Tiana"

"Yeah I'm fine." He lied. though she didn't seem to be buying it she shrugged and walked away leaving him alone with his thoughts again.

His mind immediately going back to Elsa, He wanted to do something to help her be able to walk again but it seemed every time he tried he ended up failing miserably. "What am I gonna do?" He wondered "I have to help her, but how?"

He hit his forehead with his closed fist for a moment before placing his head in his hands and sighing in agitation. After a few minutes he stood up and left the cafe. He was so out of it that he failed to notice a young frail looking girl walking in his direction that is until he literally bumped into her knocking the books in her hands to the ground.

"Oh, No." She quickly got to her knees and started scooping up the books as if they were the most precious things in the world. Feeling like a jerk Jim bent down to help her intending to apologize for being an idiot but when he looked up to hand her back the book she looked up at the same time. He suddenly felt as if he was looking into the eyes of an Angel, a beautiful Doey eyed, brown haired angel.

"S-Sorry" He stammered getting back to his feet. He held out a hand to help her up and she shyly took it.

He easily lifted her back onto her feet and she blushed a bright red "Thank you." She said quietly tucking a strand of loose hair behind her ear.
Jim just shrugged trying to act cool "Nah its my fault I should have been watching where I was going..."

The girl smiled at him, holding her books tightly to her chest "I'm Bell." She said holding out a hand.

Jim" he said taking her hand hoping he was doing it the right way. According to North hand shaking was the most polite way to greet someone.
Before that, Jim had been hitting people on the shoulders which North quickly put a stop to.

"Let me buy you something to eat. Its the least I can do for bumping into you" Smooth Jim, real smooth he thought to himself.

To his surprise the girl accepted "Oh. Ok." They walked side by side into the cafe together jim forgetting all about Elsa for the moment.

"That's it I can't take it anymore! I quit!" Elsa crossed her arms in protest, though Ariel was not quite ready to give up on her yet "I understand your angry..."

"Uh ya think!? Listen Ariel don't think I don't appreciate you trying to help me because I do. It's just that I feel this is all a waste of time. I mean who am I kidding? I'm never gonna be able to walk again..."

"Don't say that!" Ariel interrupted "Of course you will..."

"No! I wont" Elsa shot back, her shoulders slumping "I'll just have to face the fact that I'll be wheel chair bound for the rest of my life..."

"Now you listen here." Ariel was growing increasingly angry at Elsa's constant doubting of herself and was gonna try and make her see that it was because of this that she couldn't walk.

"Day after day. Week after week I was told constantly by my family and even my doctors that I'd never be able to walk again but guess what? I did and do you know why?" Not allowing her to answer she continued "It's because I chose to believe in myself. Sure I could have just accepted that I'd be wheel chair bound for the rest of my life but I didn't. I learned to walk again and you can to. I just can't teach you until you quite doubting yourself."

With those final words Ariel left the room leaving Elsa to her thoughts. She suddenly found herself crying, that's the way Anna found her when she came back in.

"Elsa what happened? Are you ok?"

She tried to put a hand on Elsa's shoulder but she smacked her away "I'm sorry. I need to be alone for a bit." Wheeling herself out of the room, Anna tried to follow "Elsa wait" Anna called.

"Stay away from me." She shot back. "Just stay away" Slamming the door to her room, Anna tried to jiggle the doorknob but it was locked.

"Elsa don't do this! Please talk to me, don't shut me out again!"

No answer. She began to wonder what Ariel had said to her and quickly dialed her number but she didn't answer. She tried 2 more times but it went to voicemail.

She cursed under her breath and dialed a different number.

Jack was busy making lunch for his sister Tabitha when his cellphone began to buzz. "Hello?" The voice on the other end sounded frantic "Jack? It's Anna. Somethings wrong with Elsa," When he heard those words he froze "Anna, what are you talking about? Is she ok..."

"I'm not sure" Anna interrupted "She locked herself in her room, She wont open it or even talk to me but it looked like she was crying.

"Thats its I'm coming over" he was in a panic now, frantically searching for his car keys. "Tab, get your things we're gonna leave for a bit."
Poking her head out from the living room Tabitha who had a bowl full of candy in her hands smiled "Yay, road trip!"

before Jack even had time to blink, she ran past him. Fortunately for Jack he was faster and snatched the bowl of candy from her hands. She didn't protest, merely shooting him a sour look before running up the stairs and into her bedroom.

"Don't take to long or I swear to Odin I'll leave you." Which was a huge bluff considering how Jack was so protective of his sister that he'd never think of leaving her in the house alone. Not on his life. After a few minutes Tabitha came running down the stairs "Kay, I'm ready."

"Finally" jack cried in exasperation "C'mon lets go."

"Me first!" She called running past him and out the front door. Jack rolled his eyes in annoyance but still managed to smile a little.

considering the amount of sugar she'd just had, this would prove to be one wild car ride.

It was dark by the time Jim arrived home and already he could sense something was wrong. Sure enough he found Anna pacing back and forth in the living room.

"Oh, its just you" She said sourly, Jim shot her a funny look "Yup, Just me." looking around he couldn't help but notice Elsa was missing "Is Elsa sleeping already?"

"No." Anna said quickly "She's not sleeping at all. If you must know, she's locked herself in her room and wont come out. I tried everything but she wont answer me and I'm starting to worry..."
Dropping his bag onto the counter, his gaze went towards the stairs "You want me to try talking to her? I think she'll listen to me"

"Whats that suppose to mean" Anna cried angrily, Jim lifted his hands in defense "Nothing I'm just saying..." Suddenly without warning Annas fist tightened and she swung punching Jim straight in the jaw. This took him completely by surprise and he reeled back in shock his hand shooting to his stinging cheek.

"What the hell was that for!?"

"For being an idiot!" She shot back "Now do us all a favor and just drop dead!" She whirled around and that was the end of that. She refused to talk to Jim after that and spent the next few minutes pacing back and forth until finally she heard a car pull up front.

Ignoring Jims question on who it was she pushed past him and headed out the door to greet Jack and his hyper then usual little sister Tabitha.

"Auntie Anna!" the little girl ran straight into Anna's arms. Anna let out a small oomph but returned the hug "Hey Kiddo how ya been?"

"Good, Hey auntie anna..."

"Tab, stop calling her that. she's not your aunt." Jack tried to say but Tabitha ignored him.

"Auntie Anna, is it true what Jack says about you being a..."

Before she could finish, Jack bolted and grabbed her from behind, as she struggled he covered her mouth and chuckled nervously "Anyway, I'd really like to know about Elsa."

"She's up in her room" anna said ushering for them to follow her "C'mon" Feeling something wet Jack pulled his hand back from his sisters mouth and realized she'd slimmed him.

he tried to grab a hold of her but she just giggled and ran into the house. He'd have to deal with her later for now there were more important things to worry about.

While Tabitha switched on the TV in the other room he headed down the hallway towards Elsa's room. When he got there the doorknob was frozen solid.

"That's not good..." He started banging on the door "Elsa, open the door!" He called but he got No answer, Jim ran down the hallway towards the commotion blinking in surprise as the entire door began to freeze over.

"Oh No, Elsa!"

Jack and Anna began calling her name. He had no choice, without thinking he began banging his entire body into the door trying frantically to get it open. at one point he heard a crack rip thru his left arm but refused to quit despite the tremendous amount of pain he was in.

Finally after what seemed like minutes, he broke the door open. The entire room was covered in Ice, snowflakes falling down all around. He found Elsa sprawled on the floor just a few feet from the door. She was curled up in the fetal position. "Elsa, its ok" He said gently as he got to his knees and placed a hand on her shoulder "Please don't cry anymore. She blinked in surprise as she felt his touch and stopped crying for the moment. She said his name so softly it tugged at his heart strings "Jack?" she said it again this time a little louder "What are you doing here?"

"Your sister called me,"

Elsa turned away from him as he helped her sit up but Jack wasn't having any of that. He cupped her face in his hands and made her look his way "She shouldn't have done that. Don't you get it I just wanna be alone..."

Jack let out a tiny laugh "Never gonna happen." Placing her head on his chest she felt him kiss the top of her head "Not in a million years." he told her softly as he wrapped his arms around her.

No one noticed but Jim was looking away during all this. His heart torn in two, just then there came a knock at the door. anna who was in tears herself from being happy went to answer it.

She never expected who would be standing there when she opened that door. her mouth hung open as Hiccup stood in the doorway "Hey Hiccup whats..."

"I came to speak with Elsa" He said pushing past her, "Can't this wait?" Anna asked.

"No it can't, she's gotta hear this. You all do."

"What about?"

""I'll tell you when I see your sister..."

Jim having had enough stood in front of Hiccup not allowing him access into the hallway "Alright you've gone far enough dragon boy now I suggest you get to the point before your ass ends up getting thrown across the floor."
Hiccup's face looked as if someone had slapped him. He quickly recomposed himself "The last guy who talked to me like that ended up having to pick his teeth up off the ground now I suggest you get the fuck out of my face before I show you what Real pain is."

"Bring it on!" Jim challenged, both boys eye to eye now "Guys stop it!" Anna cried "This isn't the time or place for this so I suggest you both stop your bickering and act like civil adults."

After both boys got quiet Anna ordered Jim to move and let Hiccup see Elsa which he did with a bit of reluctance. Hiccup smiled at this and brushed past him.

When he entered the room Jack was helping Elsa back into her wheel chair. Jack's smile vanished when he looked up and saw who was standing in the doorway "what the hell do you want?" He snarled angrily, Hiccup lifted a hand "Save it I'm here to talk to Elsa."

"Over my dead body!" Jack hissed placing himself in front of her, acting as a shield. "jack it's alright." Elsa said softly "Really it is."

They locked eyes for a moment before Hiccup stepped up "I came here to tell you something about your boyfriend here and I don't think your gonna like it."
