It didn't take Amber long to find Five and she also heard Luther arguing with him. She followed the voices to his room and she couldn't help but be annoyed at the writings on the wall. She had told Five to make a probability map but she was somewhat kidding. To think he was doing one of this scale both amazed and annoyed her.

"Oh mon dieu not this shit again Five! Really, I was kidding with these maps. What numbers did you pull out of your ass to make these!?" Amber chastised.

Five ignored his wife and simply got his father's rifle case from under his bed. Luther looked at the walls and seemed mortified.

"You can't be serious. Five this is madness?" Luther said.

"Whose Five thinking that their death can stop the end?"

"Milton Greene, a simple gardener for one. You really think Amber that Milton could be the killer?" Luther asked.

Amber looked to Five and that did seem odd. All this time Amber thought they were going after a criminal mastermind that blew up the Earth. From the carnage and rubble, it seemed like it was calculated and intentional. Why would killing seemingly ordinary people stop the end? This didn't make sense and it bothered her.

"Five, the people you wrote down are the possible killers right and not just more Commission like shit that their deaths could change things even though they aren't the direct cause, right?" Amber asked.

Five remained quiet and that only bothered her more.

"Five answer me." Amber coldly asked.

Five groaned as he stopped what he was doing to glare into Amber's eyes. All these years and he hoped she would have understood what they needed to do.

"Look Amber, you know as much as I do. The slightest altercation of events can lead to massive different outcomes in the space time continuum. They might not be the killer's themselves but their deaths..."

"For Christ's sake Five, what's a gardener's death going to do!? Next you might find an error and that tells you I'm the killer? For once I agree with Luther and that this approach is a bit mad even for you." Amber reasoned.

"Well, I don't see you thinking of any ideas my sweet..."

"Uh I did! Make a bloody fake briefcase! I've lingered on this and, well I hate her, we need to have a chat with her. Who knows, with your espionage skills, we can find the actual person and slit their throats. Beats playing Russian Roulette with innocents and hope we stumble on our guy."

Five rolled his eyes.

"I don't understand you. Yes, I know you suggested that idea but that only means we have to face the Handler again and that was something you want to avoid. Now when I find another plan you want to go back to the one that angers you. You make no sense." Five questioned.

Amber sighed and rubbed her head. She really didn't want to get into this as she looked at the map. Five put a lot of work into this and she knows Five had a point about The Handler. However, this wasn't any better.

"Look Five I just want this whole ordeal to be over. I'm not going to aid in mindless violence without a direct cause. I still think the person who does end the world has intent and not this whole 'if I kill them peace is restored'."

Luther looked to Amber and he managed to crack a slight smile.

"So, you agree that this is madness and that Five shouldn't do this." Luther asked her.

Amber didn't answer him and instead looked to see Five getting a rifle ready and that made Luther nervous.

"Where did you get that?" he asked.

"Dad's room. I think he used it to kill a rhinoceros. It's similar to the model I used for work. Nice shoulder fit and highly reliable." Five explained with intense focus on the gun.

"You can't be serious. Milton is an innocent man." Luther expressed.

"It's basic math. His death can spare billions...He would be dead in a couple of days anyway. The apocalypse won't spare anyone." Five defended.

Amber rolled her eyes.

"I still think your math is a bit off... oh, wait no it's just my gut telling me that this isn't how we should do this Five." Amber expressed.

"Amber please just let go of your moral compass. If we do nothing, the world is done, finished, finito and we don't want to die this time." Five argued.

"Look I've followed and stuck my you mon coeur but this is not what we should do. Unless Milton is secretly making nuclear fertilizer rocket bombs to shoot the moon down and send meteors to Earth, his death isn't going to save anyone and just have his family mourn for him before their deaths." Amber argued back.

Luther was relieved that Amber wasn't just blindly going along with Five and hoped maybe she could get through to him. However, with Five continuing to prep his rifle it told him that she wasn't.

"We don't do this kind thing." Luther told him.

"We are not doing anything..."

"To hell we sure aren't Five." Amber told him with her arm crossed.

"Oh yes we are, we are going to hunt these people down and kill them. Then maybe..."

"You see, maybe tells me that maybe we should just..."

"Look if you're taking Luther's side, fine. You two good luck stopping me." Five said as he got his gun ready and started to leave.

"You're not killing anyone!" Luther growled.

He went over to take Delores and hung her out the window. At first, he only expected Five to be pissed as he aimed the gun at his brother. However, Amber's eyes glared at him and she summoned her fire from her wrists.

"Put...her...down!" both of them growled.

"Amber seriously you care for this thing?" Luther asked.

"She's my best friend asshole! Put her down or I will burn your gorilla ass!" she shouted.

"Have your husband put the gun down and I won't toss her." Luther reasoned.

"He should have his gun at you for treating our best friend this poorly. You don't see us trying to go after Allison for you to behave. I know you have the hots for her but be civil with us both. Let her go or you can choose between bullets or fire." Amber angrily told him.

"Well Five isn't killing anyone today and if you can't stop her, I know she can. Now it's her or the gun Five." Luther asked once more.

"If you were planning this shit Luther, you could have warned me asshole! Who knows, maybe you could have used me instead and I would have gone along." Amber told him.

Five shot a warning glance at her and responded with,

"Oh, please you wouldn't go against me Amber. Plus, you could burn his ass and I would have seen through the ruse. However, Luther put her down and don't make me say it again." Five hissed.

"Like I said, it's her or the gun. You decide." Luther warned.

Five's hands trembled with the gun and Amber glared at Luther. What a filthy underhanded trick. Delores was a friend and innocent to Five's endeavors and yet her life hung in the balance. She couldn't shoot fire at Luther yet since an attack could have Luther drop her. Luther did end up releasing his grip on her and Five dropped the gun to blip to save her. Luther made his way and grabbed the gun as Five grabbed Delores.

"I can keep doing this all day." Luther said with a smug smile.

"To hell you will asshole!" Amber yelled as she shot a fire orb at him in the chest. Luther winced in pain and saw a burn mark on his jacket. He took the gun in hand and ran out of the room with Amber chasing after him.

"Get back here asshole!" Amber yelled going after him.

Five chuckled slightly but he was still shaken at what had happened. He clung to Delores and sighed.

"I'm so sorry about that. We didn't mean for you to go through that." Five apologized.

Meanwhile Amber shot a few more fireballs at Luther's back and feet until she calmed down. Luther got down on his knees to show he surrendered, causing Amber to calm down. Her eyes were still angered by what Luther did and he asked,

"She's really a friend, best friend of yours. I thought..."

"What, that when Five and I fought she was like a sex doll? No, she wasn't, she's far from a simple object. She was our only other friend in the world back when we were both scared teens. Without her, we would have just lived as two people, not as husband and wife. Your stupid plan worked Luther, but you need to know Five is only doing this since he thinks there's no other way. I may not have liked the plan either but you were no better than him risking our friend's life. Now get back in and see if you can work on making a fake case. I need to calm down in the car before we go meet with Hazel and Cha Cha." Amber said as she walked past him.

"Amber..."

"You know Luther, Five's right about one thing. We aren't children anymore yet you're still acting like one. Maybe you should grow up and not see things as black and white. I'm finally starting to see that myself in my old age so please learn that lesson soon. The sooner you do, the better you'll be."

Amber waited in the car for Luther and Five to come down so they could meet up with Hazel and Cha Cha. She sighed deeply as she hung her back on the car seat. This wasn't what Amber had imagined when she decided to join Five to stop the end. Then again, she didn't expect her life to turn out anything like it did. She looked back on her family, Maude, and life with Five and wondered if mistakes were made in her choices. It's hard to imagine a life other than what she had and she couldn't also imagine her life in the circus improving with age. If she did in fact had just ran away and not the fire temporal jump...no Amber thought and pushed that idea back. This wasn't the time to doubt her life, she only felt that way since she and Five were fighting again. Once this whole thing blows over and they kill the bitch or bastard, Five will return to be the romantic, sweet, doting, and protective husband.

Amber listened to the songs on the radio for what seemed like hours until Five and Luther finally came out with a fake briefcase. Amber got out of the passenger side door and went in the back since she didn't feel like sitting with Five. Luther got up front and Five checked on his wife in the backseat. She simply laid on her back and closed her eyes, causing Five to sigh.

"I'm sorry Amber...you're right...I just thought the briefcase idea was even more impossible." Five expressed.

Amber ignored him and Five shifted his focus to driving to the rendezvous point to meet Hazel and Cha Cha. It took some time but they made it and Five sighed while they waited.

"I never did enjoy killing people Luther. I was just good at what I did and it never gave me pleasure. I had to think about what would help to support Amber and myself since it was only us. Even though it seemed like it took me a while before I wanted to settle down with Amber...the truth is that it was a miracle Amber and I met and against all odds, it was love at first sight." Five recounted.

Amber pretended to be asleep so she could hear more and her heart fluttered passionately. Luther chuckled at him since Five always seemed to scoff at that notion. Five glared at him and that prompted Luther to stop.

"Those two years alone crushed me. I had to live with the fact I failed to be there for everyone when they needed me most. I had given up hope on a normal existence until Amber emerged from an inferno in her time jump. We both spent many years in the apocalypse and we had our fights sure, but what couple doesn't. If it weren't for Amber, I can't imagine what kind of person I would be."

"I know a similar feeling when I almost died on a mission and disappointed dad. I spent four years on the moon and that was more than enough time. Being alone can break you. Did you ever feel alone despite Amber being with you?" Luther asked.

"Rarely...only when we argued and fought since it feels we aren't on the same page. It brings me back to when I had no one, which is why I want to kill the man responsible for the end of the world. That way, Amber and I can live in peace while I figure out perhaps how to age our bodies back. I love her and maybe at times she does deserve better than me and I robbed her from a man she should have belonged to if I wasn't..."

"There is no better man for me than you Five." Amber interrupted as she got up and glanced at the case Luther was holding.

"Looks nice, almost like an actual case."

"You think they will buy it?" Luther asked.

"Well, I know they are desperate. They are like cops without a gun, if the Commission finds out, they're in deep shit." Five expressed.

"Plus, they will be stuck here until they get it back and I rather they piss off since I would rather live in this world without them thank you." Amber added.

Luther nodded and glanced at the case.

"I should hold on to it in case they go after the two of you." Luther offered.

"Okay Luther but be careful. We've lived our whole lives but you're still a young man. You still got your whole life ahead of you. Don't waste it." Five informed in.

Luther found this whole moment surreal as his young-looking brother Five told him that. I mean sure he and Amber were 58 but they looked like teens.

"We still have more life left to live Five so don't go dying on me now mon coeur." Amber told him softly.

He nodded as they watched the road until they saw another car coming. All of them got out, Luther holding the case in his hands. Five and Amber walked side by side while she summoned a tiger made of fire for intimidation. Hazel and Cha Cha got out of the car with their masks on and Amber rolled their eyes at them. She never understood the whole demonic 50's or 60's cartoon like masks and found it silly.

"You're serious with the masks? Wow okay look who is being mature." Amber mocked.

Hazel and Cha Cha removed the masks and they were already in a foul mood.

"Alright kids, where is it?" Cha Cha growled.

"Wow that's how you're going to start it. You know we can get back in our car and we can be on our way." Five threatened.

"You wouldn't make it halfway there." Cha Cha asserted while getting out her gun.

The tiger roared and slashed Cha Cha's arm, causing her to curse in pain while aiming the gun at Amber.

"You try that and Barbicane will maul you to death and my brother-in-law will smash the case. Hazel we can be reasonable can we since you know what he and we are capable of." Amber reasoned.

"She's got a point. We dropped a chandelier on him and he got right back up. Plus, Amber can easily burn us and the case all at once. So, what do you want" Hazel asked?

"We want you to get in contact with your superior for a one-to-one chat." Five asked.

"For what?" Cha Cha asked.

"It's none of your concern." Five told them.

"Plus, if you do, we will keep sealed lips about the case Cha Cha and my friend won't be playful with you." Amber added, stroking her fire tiger.

Cha Cha went to a nearby payphone and dialed a number for the Handler to come. Amber made her tiger disappear while she and Five waited by Luther for the Handler to come. Minutes passed and Amber could hear an ice cream truck in the distance. Her eyes widened when she did in fact see an ice cream truck. Everyone looked to see it in fact was an ice cream truck and it was being driven by Klaus and Diego was in the passenger seat. They were driving fast down the highway and this angered Hazel and Cha Cha.

"This was a set up!" Cha Cha yelled as she and Hazel got their guns out. They were aiming at Luther but the truck was about to ram into them both. Cha Cha and Hazel fired their guns but time soon slowly came to a halt. Five and Amber were still able to move and that meant Cha Cha made good on her word.

"Neat trick isn't it?" a cold yet chipper voice said.

Five and Amber looked back to see it was in fact The Handler. Amber glared at her, but still clung to Five's side as they approached her. The Handler lifted up her small veil and removed her sunglasses to see them. She seemed amused that Five and Amber were both teenagers again.

"Hello Five. Hello Amber. You both look good. All things considered." The Handler said with a smile.

"It's good to see you again." Five calmly told her.

"Bullshit." Amber whispered.

The Handler chuckled and just smiled at them.

"Feels like we met only yesterday. You two were a bit older back then. Congrats on the age regression by the way. Really neat trick, threw us off the scent. And also, nice work setting off your little pyro tech to burn your records Amber. Really slowed us down." The Handler mentioned.

Amber grinned slightly.

"Yes, well I didn't want you to have any records of me, good to know that I was able to pull that stunt off." Amber relished.

"And I wish I could take credit for my exploit. I just miscalculated the time dilation projections and well... here we are." Five said in a matter-of-fact tone.

The Handler just smiled and told them,

"You know your efforts are futile so why don't you tell me what you really want?"

"You know what we want, what we really really want so why should we tell you if you know what we both really really want." Amber expressed firmly.

"Really Amber, twisting Spice Girl lyrics? Remind me are you thirteen, thirty, or fifty-eight since I can't tell from your word choice? The Handler mocked.

Amber dug her fingernails in Five's arm but he calmed her down with a stroke on his hand.

"We want you to put a stop to this." Five expressed.

"You realize what you are asking me is next to impossible, even for me. What's meant to be is meant to be, that is our raison d'etre." The Handler informed us.

Five got out his gun while Amber conjured a fire sword, both pointing their weapons on The Handler with intensity and calculated anger.

"Well, we can kill you and you won't be able to stop us. Think of that why don't you Cruella le Bitch." Amber expressed.

"Then I would just be replaced. I'm but a cog in a machine. You've been nurturing a fantasy you two. You think you two joining up with Five's family will really stop the end, it's just what I am telling you it is, a fantasy. However, we are impressed with you two. You have the initiative and a drive that we really can get behind. Which is why we want to offer you both a new position in the Commission, in management."

Both seemed stunned and taken aback by the news.

"Excuse me?" Amber questioned.

"Yes, I'm sorry what now?" Five questioned as well.

"Come back to us you know its where the two of you belong." The Handler reasoned.

Amber rolled her eyes and shook her head.

"Sorry, but we don't want to be criminals in your twisted oxy-moronic definition of peace and time keeping." Amber expressed.

"Oh, but you won't be in corrections. You'd be in the home office, best health and pension for you both, and an end to ceaseless travel..."

"The travel was good when we weren't killing or burning people, Handler."

"Oh yes of course but you will have better positions. You two are such professionals...in school boy shorts and a school girl mini skirt. We also have the technology to reverse the process. You both can't be happy like this." The Handler reasoned.

Of course, play to Five's masculinity card Amber thought.

"It depends if what we did froze our bodies to not age or if we do it would be slow due to the time miscalculations. But...in a way I would like it if we were at least old enough so..."

"You and Five can consummate once more? Bit of a primitive reason but I can see why that would be a detriment to your mistakes. However, we can make you both yourselves again and happy again since we are all looking for happy aren't we?" she asked.

Amber looked to Five and he seemed to be conflicted.

"What about my family?" he asked.

"What about them?"

"I want them to survive." Five asked.

The Handler looked to Luther, Klaus, and Diego and really couldn't believe Five wanted them to survive since they seemed to be beneath him.

"All of them?" she questioned.

"Yes, all of them." Five stated again.

"There is one other thing." Amber mused.

"Oh? Do tell." she asked.

Amber looked to Five and then back to her, sighing.

"I want a medical exam when I get back to the Commission. If we did reverse the aging process...I want to see if maybe perhaps... we turned back time on my biological clock of sorts."

The Handler just nodded.

"I will see what I can do about your family Five and I can grant you a medical exam Amber. Now do we have a deal?" she asked, raising her hand up.

"Seems too good to be true like last time. You sure about this?" Amber asked.

"I know but we need more time and information, the Commission has that. We will come back and stop the apocalypse. Plus, this was your idea wasn't it so we don't kill innocents?"

Amber nodded.

"I know I just have this feeling Five...I don't want to be without you. I just want a life with you." Amber expressed with a kiss on his lips.

"As do I. We need to take this deal for now. I promise we won't be gone long." he muttered in a low voice.

Amber nodded and stroked his cheek.

"Your gut has hardly been wrong, just hope this won't be a rare moment it is."

She and Five approached the Handler since they didn't have much of a choice. Before Five went to her, he shifted the bullet to miss his brother and throw Hazel and Cha Cha's guns far away and empty the guns as well. Once he did that, the three of them disappeared in order to get intel on how the world would meet its end. Their hope is they wouldn't have to bide too much of their time since time was something that was fleeting by the second. Amber hoped this plan would work and that it would give them a person to kill and so they can complete their life's mission once and for all.
