Warped Commander Chapter 27
Azure Sky Naval Base: Dorms
June 29th: 2000
Third Person: Omni
"Wo?" She looks through the small crack in the door into the hall, making sure to question herself in a nearly inaudible voice. She saw a young woman with long brown hair walk through into the actual bedroom.
The new woman's sharp green eyes looked around the area with an appraising eye as she moved about the room, her maid dress gently swaying with every little movement.
"So that is where you are." When she finally got to the bathroom door, the abyssal backed herself to the wall, trying to blend in with the white wallpaper. Though it did nothing to hide her from the maid in the bathroom with her.
"It is nice to meet you, I am Curacoa of the Royal Navy. I was assigned as your caretaker by my master." She curtsied to the young woman of white and bowed her head. After a few moments, she returns to her perfect posture.
"Wo?" The lady from the sea looked in surprise at the young woman crafted upon the land. She just shakes her head before opening the closet, already guessing the girl's sizes.
"Honestly, he picks up your types like they are strays, first the future Hiryuu, and then the next thing you know, a Scavenger arrives at the port like a faithful pet. We still don't know how he tamed them."
"Wo?" The maid nods at her word, not at all surprised at the only word she could speak, she was already used to a bunch of absurd things that happened around base… like having a beach volleyball tournament.
"Honestly… You are not the first he did this to, and you will not be a last until the end of his life… even then I would not be surprised if he kept it up during his next life." After Curacoa made that statement, several young women sneezed in several different dimensions at once.
"Wo!" The young woman just laughed at the surprised tone of the abyssal, turning enemies into allies is just another thing that he did quite well, and being a natural peacekeeper was something that helped with that more often than not.
"Alright then, I recommend not going around to the more populated areas when possible, considering where he sleeps is quite possibly the most populated area on the island, I recommend not visiting him."
"While this kind of thing happens, only his own world's ships will get it… even then, a majority will be distrustful for him, even when I know that he is careful about it." To the carrier in the room, picking her up off the beach when she is clearly an enemy to the human race does not sound like a careful thing to do.
"Well then, just be careful of Sendai, she is the only real kanmasu who will be awake at this late in the night. Just make sure to avoid the dorms and the park when you do go out."
"On another note, here is an outfit that would fit you fine, thankfully all the rooms have a basic set of clothing… anticipating girls with no other clothes than the ones on their backs was always a good idea."
"Oh yeah, I need to get your food, I'll be a bit, please wash up in that time." Before the abyssal could respond, the brown-haired maid had already left the room without any fuss.
"Wo…" She was a bit dazed at the sudden intrusion and subsequent conversation with the British maid. She looks at the cloths in her hands, a simple set of black cloths, making her wonder if she could even change from these cloths.
"Wo." She looked at the mirror once more, her mind is far more clear than any other time in her memory of being… something close to awake at the very least.
She shook her head and placed all the clothes down on the counter for her to use later. She observes her outfit to try and find out a way to take it off, surprisingly, the seams were obvious and it was able to slip right off with a light pull. It made her think about just why the abyss decided to make her clothes like this…

"Commander, it is getting late." Yorktown looks over at the man standing infront of the window that looks out to the center of the island, observing the void that is space with a blank expression on his face.
His brown eyes stare at nothing while his mind wanders, something that Yorktown and many of his other ships have witnessed before. It was something that he started doing a few months after being freshly promoted, around the time that he started to heal the other girls of their traumas.
"You are troubled… who are you trying to help now?" It was unmistakable to her, her own witness to the expression and actions he is taking at this moment was when he was helping Tirpitz settle in.
"Someone that I found recently, her emotions are muted and something was controlling her." He responded to her, reasoning out his thought process to a soundboard that has been with him for quite a long time.
"I see." Yorktown stood beside him, he would not be able to sleep unless he finished the train of thought, only paperwork could derail it, and all of the bureaucratic work was already filed away by the help of the maids.
"It really is strange, this world's ship girls and how they work… where were the first ones summoned from… What are the Abyssal? So many unanswered questions lost to the thoughts about combatting them."
"You are out to find them yourself?" The situation is reminiscent of his time as commander, finding out the truth behind the Sirens while uniting warring factions of the world together to fight threats.
"More than likely, it will reveal itself to me even when I don't want it to and to live in peace." He was already tired of battle, he would have been happy to just sit in his Kyoto home for a while… ever hoping for the day that he could return to his girls.
"We all do, so what are you going to do with the one that needs help?" To get him back on topic as she has done many times before, she asked about the new person that he wanted to help… though she wondered just who he was referencing.
"Getting her back onto her feet would be the first thing right… she was only ever a tool to them and emotional growth should take the first seat." He closed his eyes in thought.
"Alright then, tomorrow is more bureaucratic work and talking with the girls about stuff, preparation for any new arrivals, and that conference for the World Defence personnel." He opened his eyes after a minute, already satisfied with the plan in his head. Yorktown just had her usual smile on her face as he steps back from the window to the rest of the island.

"Come in," Ben said while not looking up from his desk of papers, it was a far cry front the amount he had a few days prior, however, the amount is still large enough for him to wish that his leaderships were here to help with paperwork. A knock is what alerted him to the person that wanted to come in.
"Master, your gest has settled into her room, she is currently eating breakfast," Curacoa stated after closing the door with a click, none of the other ships were around to eavesdrop at the moment, all of them were busy with training and tasks that Ben gave them.
"That's good, how were her eyes?" While not as experienced in the ability to tell a person through the eyes as Ben or Belfast, Curacoa is still a maid who interacted with many people during her time around.
"They were stormy last night, and today they let up a little bit." She remarks from her stance infront of the desk, reporting all she knew simply and without any flourish.
"As expected, I found her with a fever on the beach yesterday." Ben scribbled another signature down, while the image of him doing his paperwork made him look uninterested, the papers were not going to fill themselves and they were still critical.
"Is there any other observations you could glean?" For a few seconds after the question, the sound of a fountain pen on paper was all that was heard in the room as the maid took time to think, they could not spend much time in here or the others would get suspicious.
"She looked depressed, like a certain few ships that you have worked with." Ben stopped his pen in thought, taking his head up in order to look at her directly, his instrument of wording placed onto the desk as he placed a hand to his chin.
"Alright then… leaving her inside all the time during the day is a way to worsen the symptoms… I'll go visit her later tonight when I have everyone doing stuff, it is the end of the month after all."
"I will take my leave then master." She curtsied, taking herself away from the silent office of her master and along with her, the finished papers that needed to be filed, the excuses that she used to come into the office to talk.
"Honestly… I am way too helpful." He just ruefully shakes his head after hearing the soft closing of the door, already knowing that he could not hide it from the AIs around him.
"Can you both be quiet about this for now? I don't want to cause unto worry just yet, especially when it is so turbulent at the moment." Ben looked to the phone that sat upon his desk, he finally bargained enough for the AI's to share the device.
"Yes, master Ben." Sakura's voice spoke out, accepting his request, letting him have peace of mind to go back to getting the paperwork done before the end of the day deadline, and hopefully even earlier than that.
"Honestly, it is always on beaches that the first happens." He mumbled the last remark to himself before returning to the monotonous sound of pen on paper.

"Good day commander." The stoic voice of a certain fox reached his ears as he turns to greet her, getting a face full of foxtail in the process. He sighs in contentment after only a few moments of being in her fluff.
"Hello Kaga, are you having a nice day?" His muffled voice as he enjoyed her tail brought a smile to her own face, it was something of an addiction that was developed by a majority of Azur Lane commanders.
"It was fun scaring the green ones during day training." Her grin turned vulpine as she said that, a twist from her rather restrained expression, though he got a feeling that it was more for having a spar with Enterprise again, despite not being the one with a huge rivalry, they did acknowledge each other as strong, though Kaga took far more pleasure in fighting than Big E.
"Ah, Kaga, good day." The serious voice of Nagato was muffled by the floof, though Ben could still make it out with ease, though it was more of a skill that was developed with practice, such as waking up when called even in Shinanano's fluff.
"Good day Nagato." Her tone was back to the stoic cold developed after her conversion into an aircraft carrier and the forging of time. As Nagato drew closer to the pair, she noticed the strange placement of tails when she finally got close enough to him.
"Might I know why you have your tails like that, Kaga?" Nagato asked nowt hat she stood infront of her, looking at the whitetails shift slightly every few seconds, the white pants from under the tail's covering gave her a few ideas of who it could be.
"My Husband." She moved her tails a bit in order to show his blissful face, he was enjoying it after a year away from having the good tails of his foxes after all.
"Husband…?" Nagato was surprised at the admission that she is his wife. It made her wonder just how many wives the man had… and the uncountable amount of girls that loved him if Enterprise's words were to be believed.
"The strong are attracted to the strong after all, and he proved far stronger than myself." She said with a slight smirk, thought Nagato couldn't see any of the strength she was talking about at the moment, but it was far more in her memory than anything else.
"My dear… here." Ben somehow got out of the daze caused by fluff, starting to pat the head of the fox, a small eep came from her as he firmly patted her. Her ears perked up in surprise from the suddenness of the affectionate gesture.
"Hello Nagato, how are you doing today?" Ben smiled as the tails perked up as well, releasing them from the comfy grasp of Kaga, if the other two foxes were to do the same, he would have been unable to escape this quickly.
"I am doing well Admiral." Nagato just stared at the blushing woman, a vast difference when compared to the regular persona that she projects out to the world. She just blinks at the sudden role reversal that he pulled.
"That is good, I am currently taking a break from the paperwork now that I have everything on a manageable level." Ben looked with an amused smile to his foxy wife. He tried letting his hand off but she immediately pulled it back to her head without a word.
"I kinda wish my own Nagato is here…" Ben said with a slight sigh after petting the girl for a few minutes with Nagato looking at it the entire time… more than a little amusement of course, but there was the slight look of longing in her eyes that was well hidden behind her serious demeanor.
"Your own Nagato… What is she like?" The girl with black hair asked him, interested in the other world's counterpart of her, she actually wondered how different she would be considering everything, they have never seen any of the two versions together at once.

FFN:
Skull Flame: The admiral taking in a Wo-class? Quite the interesting twist. I wonder what will happen to her.
Response: I would like to say that the Wo-Class abyssal carrier is often the most utilized ship for abyssals at kanmasu bases.
CincyRail: things are getting interesting now with wo class being there on the base. Is ben going to help this wo class out and mybe find a way to help her start talking normal like him? And keep up the good work.
Response: I have a few things in mind for her, but Ben is definitely on the side of helping her.
Ao3: None sadly.
