Slowly walking in the bedroom to reveal Peter sat on the bed, his shirt being done up and her in her pjs.
"Where are you going?" She asked, walking round to get into bed.
"What does it matter to you, why don't you invite David over.." he put his jacket on and stood up.
"Of course it matters!" She pulled him over, his eyes interlocking with the pools of dark mud of her eyes.
"I've been a right cow lately.." she said softly making him laugh.
"Cows an understatement love" he said making her look down.
"I do tho.. I do want it to be just you and me but it's almost like every woman is attracted to you and I just panic" she looked to him.
"Do you really think I'd do it again? After last time, Carla we lost her!" He looked to the woman he loved, referring to their baby girl.
She began to sob and managed to say between the tears "I know.."
"Have you slept with him?" He asked, his tone of voice going serious
"In the past.. when I was living here" she looked to him.
"But not recently?" He asked to which she shook her head quickly.
"You've got to believe me" she pleaded.
He sniffled and just hugged her as she cried her eyes out.
"Please come back to Weatherfield.. we can sort something out" he said softly.
"Okay.. not until the baby is born tho, I can't be dealing with a car ride heavily pregnant" she laughed, sitting up and wiping her tears.
"And you think a screaming, crying, pooping baby is better? Not to mention the one year old in tow" he laughed, stroking her hair to which she smiled.
"I just want to wait.." she said softly, rubbing his leg.
He nodded and cuddled her close.
(Going to skip till the baby's birth for a faster moving story)
Peter had been out on the boats with the fishermen as Carla watched from the window, the splashes and crashes of the water as they went off to get fish.
Sat at the kitchen table pen in her fingers as she fiddled away before groaning and getting up, a click of the kettle to turn on as Peter walked in the door.
His hair soaked and hands cold, he looked to the woman he loved, she was making a cup of tea but a slight stop to hold her stomach as she took deep breaths.
"Hey love.. how's the little one doing?" He asked, curious as he walked into the kitchen.
"Causing me a lot of pain.. sooner they're out the better" she groaned, leaning on the worktop.
"Go and sit down I'll make these.." he said with a slight order as she nodded and walked off to sit down.
A gasp and groan from the other room "Peter!.."
"It's alright.. just sit down" he proceeded to say as he walked into the lounge, her pure black jeggings and the cream carpet filled with a pool of water.
"Oh my gosh.. okay, I'm gonna call an ambulance" he panicked, grabbing his phone.
"No! They can't do anything until you're so many cms dilated" she shouted, rocking on the sofa to pass the contractions.
As a few hours passed Carla groaned, moaned and cried her way through contractions, gripping the sofa and Peter, anything to take the pain out on.
She was sat on the birthing ball as another contraction passed, Peter sat on the sofa watching on.
"We should call an ambulance and get you gas and air" he pleaded but she shook her head, redness in her face.
"Love you're in pain!" He shouted.
"I'm gonna be in pain either way Peter" she slowly stood up.
"Just let me check how dilated you are.." he asked.
"No.. you made a baby inside me by looking at it last time!" She snapped.
"Sit down.." he ordered and she did what she was told as he helped to pull her leggings and knickers off.
"I've been thinking.. our life is such a mess we need to kind of start building it up again" she said with a gasp as Peter put his fingers inside her.
"Sorry.. the midwife said that's how you tell" he said with a smirk before nodding for her to carry on.
"Well.. everything with David and Cody I think just after this baby is born I'm gonna sell the factory" she said, looking down at him.
"What? But that's how we earn money.." he said, getting up and wiping his fingers.
"I know but I was thinking.." she said before gasping and groaning, gripping his leg tight as he winced.
"I need to push.." she said heavily breathing.
"No.. just let me call the ambulance" he said.
"Peter.." she said softly, his eyes scanning round the room for his phone.
"Where is it?" He asked as Carla groaned.
"Just keep breathing love.." he said, pulling the pillows back.
"Peter!" She groaned more.
He still didn't click on and found his phone "there!" He grabbed it and turned around.
Carla sat there, breathless, a baby in her arms.
"Omg.." his face dropped, realising the baby was pale and cold he quickly rushed over, sitting them up and tapping their back gently.
Carla clicked on and looked over, fear rising in her stomach but a quick a relief as a cry came from the baby.
"A girl.." she chuckled, her chest rising quickly as she looked at how small her precious newborn baby girl was.
"Two kids under two.." he laughed, laying his baby daughter on her mother's chest to calm her.
Nestling her head against the baby she thought she never Carla began to sob, but these were tears of joys mixed with slight exhaustion!
