The Titans all stood in front of Galfor as if waiting for the climax of a brilliant action/thriller film. The new things they were learning about their leader and best friend seemed like a fairytale they had never heard before. The hollow sound of the gorgeous tomb they all stood in only add to the atmosphere of the story they were hearing...

The biggest question on their minds was where Galfor had left off... Starfire has a brother?!

They waited patiently as their eyes begged and pleaded with Galfor to continue the origin story of their close friend...

"Blackfire may have had loving parents like our Grand Rulers but the people refused to accept her," Galfor finally continued, "I fear this is what lead her to do what she did..." He finished with a sense of regret as if he could have done something to save her from her fate.

He thought back to when Blackfire and Starfire were little girls and he was their K'norfka. He did everything in his power to raise the two kids as best he could while their parents saw to all the political problems of their people. Had he simply given more attention to Blackfire maybe she wouldn't have turned out the way she did. But from what he could recall, Blackfire never wanted his help. Never wanted him around. She even looked down on him as if he were just like all the other Tamaranians who treat her like dirt. But this just wasn't true. Galfor loved his rulers and had his entire trust. If they loved Blackfire... So did he.

The Titans looked at Glafor intently wondering what was going through his head before Beastboy finally spoke up trying to learn what it was that Blackfire had done...

"So... Uh... what exactly did the crazy lady do?" Beastboy said with a sense of humor and slight chuckle in his voice...

Galfor raised his head and came out with it as bluntly as Starfire would have...

"She executed the heir to the throne," he spoke with the most serious of tones as if bringing the hammer down on Beastboys humor like the God of Thunder himself, "her own flesh and blood. Her only brother."

Beastboy's face went pale. It was so pale his skin color could have been mistaken for a blank piece of paper. His humor died with that statement. At least for the moment, and he decided to keep his mouth shut the rest of the time on this mission. But he wasn't the only one who was shocked...

The entire team almost had the same face as Beastboy. They knew Blackfire was terrible but to actually kill her own family... Seemed unreal to them. They stood frozen as if the words spoken by the massive person in front of them were some joke and they were still waiting for the punchline.

"It was all part of her plot to take the throne of Tamaran," Galfor continued, "when the Gordanians attacked, the Grand Rulers wasted no time and repelled their attack as much as they could... But this left the young rulers with only myself and a few guards to protect them," he bowed his head in shame, "we failed them." His mind again flashed back to the battle that plagued his mind as his worst regret.

The overwhelming numbers of Gordanians that came raining down from the sky was too much for himself or any other Tamaran to take on. They weren't skilled in the art of war but they had superior strength and resilience. Even so... himself and the other guards battled the hoard of lizard looking people knowing it was hopeless. But after what felt like years of fighting, eventually, the Gordanians got past them and broke down the doors to the chamber where the young Tamarans meant to be the future of their people were hiding.

--

"You remember that day don't you, sister?" Blackfire said with an evil tone behind her voice.

Starfire look at her sister with a puzzled expression trying to think of which day Blackfire was referring to.

"The day the Gordanians attacked," Blackfire clarified.

Starfire's mind flashed with tons of images of that day. They weren't pleasant memories. And it was the most painful one she could think of.

"I told you that the only way to make peace would be for you to go with them as a prize so they could claim victory and leave our people alone," Blackfire continued with her evil tone, "and that I struck the deal with the Gordanians to ensure our people would live in peace."

Starfire nod her head as if she remembered the whole thing. From what she remembered... this was true. When Starfire left with the Gordanians the war ended.

"AND YOU FELL FOR IT!" Blackfire laughed with an eerily psychotic expression, "what I didn't tell you, was the fact I didn't have the power to do that..." Her face turned dark with a grin that could shatter the innocence of a small child, "until I killed Ryand'r..."

Starfire's heart felt a massive pound before stopping in its place as if she could hear it beating. Her eyes went wide and her shock looked like an impossible rage that couldn't measure up to any atrocity that the galaxy had ever seen. Her mind shot back to the moment Blackfire was referring to...

The doors to their spacious chamber had a consistent banging on them as intruders tried to force their way in. The three young ones continued to cower in fear as their fate approached them.

Their parents had told them to hide in their room and to not come out for anyone except them and they did as they were told. But eventually the doors gave way to the Gordanians who had nothing but hostilities for them...

With a loud crash the doors shattered and flew off their hinges as a few of the lizard-like people had used their advanced laser spears to blow them away.

As the smoke cleared the leader of the Gordanians entered the room and the three children watched on in horror. But one of them stepped up to the Gordanian leader and placed himself in between him and his sisters.

A young Tamaranian of royal blood, only in his pre-teens, who bore a very similar resemblance to Starfire. Dark red hair. Emerald green eyes. The only difference between him and his sister was his stocky yet muscular build that most male Tamarans have...

The leader of the Gordanians looked down on the small boy and smiled, "you would make an excellent addition to my collection," he smirked with a raspy voice.

"Run you two!" Ryand'r yelled to his sisters, "I'll hold them off!" He was still young and had much to learn about fighting but he could make starbolts and had some knowledge of how to fight. So he stood strong even with all the fear shaking his body, he took a fighting stance as his hands began to glow green.

Blackfire grabbed Starfire by the arm and ran to a smooth spot on the wall of their chamber and pushed with all her alien strength. To Starfire's surprise the wall opened like a door to reveal a hidden passage like the one to the tomb that Galfor used. She shoved Starfire into the passage and yelled as the doors shut, "follow the passage! I'll come for you when its safe!"

Starfire tried to stop the wall from closing but couldn't do anything about it. Before she knew it, it closed and her sisters words were the only thing left with her. She turned to the darkness and raised a hand to illuminate the passage with her hand glowing green and began running through the darkness.

"Seriously," Blackfire said snapping Starfire back to reality, "I can't believe you still hadn't figured it all out yet."

"Wow," Rose said chiming in with a sense of pride, "that is truly impressive, girl," she congratulated her ally with a small slow-clap.

Starfire's crazed eyes found their way to her sister's and they locked on to her with the greatest sense of hatred.

"And what of our parents?" Starfire's voice was all rage. Nothing about her sister seemed to have any kind of humanity in it anymore. She despised her with her entire being, "did you proceed to kill our parents as well?" There seemed to be no life in Starfire's eyes. She could only see red at this point.

Blackfire laughed in the presence of her sister's suffering. Her eyes said everything, "your parents?" Balckfire chuckled as she corrected for her sister as if she didn't see her parents as her own, "they were so weak that when they found out their precious heir was gone, and their favorite daughter taken, they couldn't even work up the will to continue living!" She laughed again, "they just rolled over and died! They saved me the trouble!"

Starfire's rage only continued to burn further. This was beyond anything Starfire could have ever imagined. Her sister was a psychopath. A brilliant and insane psychopath. No wonder her and Slade's daughter got along so well.

"Our idiot brother thought he was being a hero but he played perfectly into my plan. I would hand him over to the Gordanians and take his place as heir to the throne!" Balck fire continued, "but the idiot wouldn't go quietly..."

Starbolts were being slung left and right from the small boy as he flew through the spacious room. The leader of the Gordanians almost found it amusing as his attacks were still pretty weak as he also flew through the air engaged in combat. However Blackfire being the eldest and having already gone through her transformation was far more powerful.

Before long the Gordanian fighting this small Tamaran grew annoyed with his small starbolts and consistant maneuvering to evade him to the point he even got angry...

"Enough! Or would you rather I kill you and all your people?!" He screamed as he continued to try to subdue the child.

Ryand'r continued to fly around his enemy not paying any attention to the words he heard, "I'll never let you hurt them!" He yelled back.

"Then you'll die first! I'll have you stuffed and mounted on my wall!" The raspy evil voice respond.

As the battle continued and the lizard looking person continued to chase down his prey. But after a while, a small moment crossed both of them were they paused mid flight waiting for each other's next move...

Out of nowhere, a dark purple explosion landed in the back of Wildfire and he screamed in pain before falling through the air hitting the ground of the chamber with a loud thud...

The Gordanian leader looked on, puzzled... He then saw Blackfire hover over the unconscious body of her brother with her arms crossed, "hey, lizard face," she mocked with no fear, "let's make a deal..."

The sound of doors opening then stopped Blackfire in her explaination. Loud footsteps entered the holding cell from the opposite entrance that Blackfire and Rose had used. In a few moments... a tall lizard humanoid now stood in front of Starfire next to Blackfire sending horror pulsing through Starfire's spine.

A raspy voice that sounded all too familiar to Starfire then picked up where Blackfire left off...

"And a deal was made..."
